Test 674-3(Extended Part 4)

Subject Matter: Dragon Ball(Original Anime)

Target: Pilaf(A.K.A. The Great King Pilaf or Emperor Pilaf)

Results:

The first episode of the arc introduces the audience right away to High School, in the altered Dragon Ball timeline. Here, Videl and Bulla, along with several human, anthro, and alien classmates, learn history, both the terrestrial one, as well as stuff on the galactic scale, which gives us a timeline of events, starting with the rise of the Chilled Empire, named for its first ruler, to the present day, with the fall of the Frieza Empire, and the rise of the Galactic Patrol.

The bell rings, and the teacher of the class, as it turns out, is Jaco, previously mentioned Galactic Patrol Officer, now apparently relegated to cultural exchange officer after...something. He doesn't expand much on it, before the class exits the building, and we find Videl and Bulla hanging out with their friends, mostly humans still, but with a Namekian named Dende and one of Jeice's species, identified as a Pyroclast.

Their human friend, Erasa, who turns out to be dating said Pyroclast, as the two offer to hang out, but Bulla and Videl both have plans with their boyfriends, and the pair, understanding, fly off, showing just how different the world had become in only a few years, as around half the class can fly, and a few in the shop class are shown using ki blasts to weld things together or set seams.

Videl, as it turns out, is dating the top guy in the school, the son of Chi-Chi and Yamcha named Gohan, who is set to graduate next year with honors from the higher learning program, while Videl herself is going to graduate only from West City's High School program...barely, as she would have just enough credits to make it by the end of the year, with that last final they'd taken the day before.

Bulla comments on the oddity, near last in her class dating the best in his, but Videl merely responds saying he's sweet, kind, and always listens to her...plus he was her tutor who read her stuff while she trained. Bulla nodded, understanding, as Gohan, hauling a load of books, rushes up to the two, and escorts Videl to his flying car, while Bulla, humming the Dragon Ball(Original) theme song, walks to the front of the school, just as Lapis pulls up on a motorcycle.

The black haired man, running fingers through his locks, tossed Bulla a helmet, and she commented on being stronger than steel, but he reminded her, her uncle Krill-Dawg had threatened him if he didn't see to her safety, so she reluctantly put it on. The moment she had her arms around him, Lapis pulled a wheelie in the road before the school, and then shot off down the street at a positively reckless speed.

The scene shifts back to Capsule Corps HQ, with Lazuli and Krillin playing with a pair of babies, one a girl with blonde hair like her mothers, the other, a purple haired boy with a similarly colored tail. Their names, Marron and Trucks, are revealed as the two keep playing with them in the yard, and then point up in the sky, as the Guiding Star, the ship that had once been Cold and Frieza's command ship, slowly descends.

When it lands, Bulma, surrounded by various dignitaries, glares at Goku, who, as it happened, had been wearing a nice business suit. 'Had' being the key word, given he'd somehow torn the back to shreds, and ripped both sleeves off. Jeice, in a similar suit, followed behind with Cooler, who was in his fourth form, and thus, required only a cape as clothing, was laughing at the pair in a rather good natured way.

As it came out, the four had been meeting with the Galactic King for some formal occasion, with Bulma representing Videl and Bulla's 'parole' for Cooler, while Goku went along as some added muscle. It had been going all fine...then Goku, bored, had asked to spar with one of the King's personal guards, some woman in a set of power enhancing armor from a newly joined world to the Galactic Patrol.

The Heloite woman, looking almost exactly like a human, save for her light purple skin and dull red hair, was amused enough to give her armor a workout, proving during the fight just how strong it was. She lost, to be fair, defeating a Super Saiyan Goku, who compliments the strength of the unit...before showing off the power of Kaio-Ken X 1000, a state he can maintain for only a split second, but more than enough to end the match.

Krillin, talking to him, is impressed, commenting that that was several levels higher than his previous maximum, and Goku thanks him, even while pointing out not only can Krillin go higher, but his Shin Kaio-Ken was higher too. We then are given an explanation that, after the fight with Frieza, Krillin had focused on improving his Kaio-Ken, until finally, after years of work, it was a sustainable technique.

The stable version couldn't spike nearly as high, of course, as the whole point was to surge your ki, but Shin Kaio-Ken still proved itself, with Krillin able to go into the mid-three-hundreds at this point, and Goku in the high two-hundreds. Everyone else was a bit lower, but they were gaining, especially Bulla and Lapis, who had taken to each other during the course of the man training with the Brief's family and friends.

Speaking of, the pair soon pull up, Bulla seeing her parents and launching herself off the bike, nearly causing Lapis to wipe out, but also allowing him to look simply badass as he caught himself, while she leapt into a hug with her father, followed by one to her mother. The dialogue reveals they'd been gone for almost six month, dealing with some Galactic Patrol type business along with the others, as Bulma had a position to think of, that of the Economic Minister for the Galactic King.

The mission had been long, and boring according to Goku, though Cooler and Bulma begged to differ. They'd stopped two wars after all. Without firing a shot, or even having to force the issue, instead using good old fashioned diplomacy to make all three sides in the first conflict stand down, and the second, which was only two way, had been accomplished with just business, as they had ironed out a trade agreement between the sides.

Not that having Goku, the man who ended Frieza and father to the girl who ended Cold, wasn't a help. Heck, even having Cooler there, who was seemingly tamed by the same man's family, was enough to bring people to the table, even if it wasn't enough by itself to bring about any lasting peace. The dignitaries, mostly yes-men, agree, before Bulma shuffles them onto some Capsule Corps staff while she goes to play with her baby.

Trunks is happy to see his parents, the two year old laughing as she tickled his tummy, before they are interrupted by a very nervous looking Roshi appearing out of nowhere. Goku, changed into his more common jumpsuit, quick to peg that something was wrong, only to be told it wasn't wrong...not really, as Roshi steps aside, and then bows to the empty air for a moment, before two more figures appear in the space he'd been standing in.

Their clothing marks them as someone of authority, being interesting garments, and their skin and pointed ears, not common colors, and a decently common trait, make it hard to identify them, at least until Roshi stands up, and says in a lough voice to those gathered, that he had the pleasure of presenting to them the Supreme Kai of their Universe, along with his Apprentice. Shin and Kibito, being their names.

The two are quick to thank Roshi for the introduction, and Shin, the smaller one, apologizes for interrupting what he can see is a coming home event, but this was the first time the group had all been gathered together in one place for months, and he had business with them all. Business involving a being sealed on Earth for a long, long time, which now threatened to be loosed on the whole of the universe.

It is Appule, who had been standing by the ship to identify who he's talking about, if not by name, than by the sheer idea of him. The Demon. Shin, unaware of what they're talking about, listens intently as Appule and Bulla lay out the alternate timeline they had experienced, one in which a terrible being had gone about the stars, destroying entire civilizations, and literally transforming stars into ice cream, which, amusing as it might be, was a testament to the scope of the being's power.

He quickly draws an image of the being using a device on his suit to project it, and while Shin claims it is different enough to nearly be a new being, the symbol on his belt, a barely noticed detail, being a stylized M, was proof enough. The Demon's name, as it turned out, was Majin Buu, a creature of destruction itself, forged by the power of magic into the ultimate weapon for use by its maker, a wizard named Bibidi.

Millions of years ago, he had made this terrible being, and had wreaked havoc across the heavens. Not weapon could harm the creature for long, as it was being made from Destruction's purest essence, and would simply reform itself from any injury you might do. And that was only IF you could damage it at all, as the thing was almost impossibly strong on top of that healing.

The Supreme Kai's, Shin's, former master and fellow apprentices, Core People like himself and Kibito, had been training, with the intent that one of the four of them would take over for their master, when all of this happened. And though they tried to rouse the Destroyer, a being able to match Majin Buu's power, as they had the same source, the Destroyer was not able to be woken in time, and the Grand Supreme Kai and his apprentices were on their own.

Bibidi, knowing this, attacked their realm, the Sacred Land of the Kais, and dealt two of them fatal blows, North and West, as they were called at the time. The two, innocent in spirit, were simply unable to compete with this monster, and it was only brought to a halt when South Supreme Kai, the strongest of them by far, challenged the being, annihilating him over and over again, only for him to regenerate each time.

Then Buu did the most horrid thing, he allowed South Kai to slash off a piece of his body, an arm, regenerating it at first, but in fact, laying a trap, as the severed piece of flesh expanded and spread out, becoming a blanket that smothered the Kai in its depths, and then was absorbed by the monster, changing its form, and increasing the power it held by an order of magnitude.

It was when Shin himself was threatened, having hidden himself away, as he was afraid and no warrior himself, that the Grand Supreme Kai, the one active at the time, acted. He saved Shin, but gave up his life, eventually forcing Buu to absorb him as well. But the Kai had a trick involved, somehow, a piece of his essence was spared, and it turned Buu from the wild and elemental being, into a child-like creature, perhaps even a bit weaker honestly, but no less viscous for all that.

Thinking him dead, Bibidi sealed Buu into a ball, his method of controlling the being between unleashes, and sent it to his next target, Earth. There he would unseal it, but Shin, still very much alive, attacked him the moment the ball had vanished. Slaying the wizard at a stroke, who was no match even for a half trained Kai like himself, but leaving him, as it turned out, with no way to find the Sealed Ball on Earth, only knowing it was somewhere on the planet.

That was five million years ago. He had, he hoped, grown at least somewhat into his role, as one who tends to the universe, creating worlds, and coaxing life from them, that could spread through the stars. He had kept a close eye on this world, always aware that it might become the center for so much devastation, and yet, in these last few years, only a few decades, it had grown so much.

Bulla questioned why, if he was keeping an eye on Earth, he wouldn't have appeared to them in the other timeline...or just come to stop Frieza when he came to blow it up, though, interestingly, it was Cooler who answered that. His family was well aware of the Supreme Kai, mostly from their dealings with his opposite, the God of Destruction, who existed to cleanse the universe of stagnant or underdeveloped life, to make way for more growth.

In those dealings, they had learned much of how the God of Destruction and the Kais operated. The Destroyer had little or no real limits on how they might interact with mortals, after all, the Destroyer was supposed to be keeping an eye out for mortals who grew strong enough to take his position, and nurture that instinct...though he admitted he doubted the Destroyer really did that, or that there even was a being capable of challenging him.

The Kais, however, were not to get involved. Their responsibilities were to the universe, not single worlds, or even galaxies. There was a hierarchy for such things, of which Roshi was on the bottom. If Buu was sealed, he was no threat, and thus, the Supreme Kai was powerless to do anything save watch. He couldn't have even warned them, just wait and watch until such time as the beast was released.

And in the other timeline? Well, if he hazarded a guess, either they were waiting for the Destroyer to awaken, as he frequently rested between his purges of life, or were passing the problem even farther up the chain of command, perhaps to the very top, if it deserved such. Shin, looking to Cooler, could only nod at that, and say likely, yes, that was exactly what he would have been doing, as even at his best, defeating Buu was beyond his might.

Things, however, had changed. Now Buu's revival was not merely a thing that might happen, but a certainty, as Bibidi had been revived. Dark magics, long in the casting, had altered his soul enough to be reborn into this world, memories somewhat intact, and his nature still very malevolent. His new form, Babidi, had already made a move, using his fell magics to enslave the most vile people he could.

They had used what powers they had, and while a few of his minions could be found, the wizard himself was hiding somewhere on Earth, his power such that they could be looking right at him, and never know it. The only true fortune they had in all this was that Babidi was as vulnerable to Buu's destructive nature as anyone, at least until he had gathered enough energy to cast a binding spell on him when he was released from the ball.

Bulla asked why not just use his minions for that, if they were strong, but Kibito speculated that something about the binding on their own souls prevented their energy from being usable for the spell. And it was also such a large spell that there were only so many people on this world with enough energy to contribute in a large way, not without needing to gather an entire city's worth, something that would draw attention.

As such, they believed he would make his move in a little under a year, at the Tournament. There, he could enter one or more of his minions in the competition, and simply drain the power from those competing, either all at once, or over the course of the fights. In whatever way he decided, they could use that to track him down, as the Supreme Kai could sense the energy being drained and follow it, which was another reason not to drain a little at a time right now.

So, they had a plan, but given the strength of those here, they would ask their aid. Their hope was to track down Babidi the very moment he started the spell of binding with the stolen energy, then, they would invade his hidden ship, and with a force of arms greater than his own, would simply take the ball. From there, the Supreme Kai would work on undoing the magics that held together Majin Buu, hopefully without risking his release unto the universe.

All of them agreed to give what they could to the plan, especially Bulla and Appule, who remembered the Demon well. Bulla offered to bring Videl into this, but Krillin convinced her not to. Videl, strong as she was, had fallen more and more behind the rest of them. She was better than any human, to be clear, almost a million in terms of power level, and able to go Kaio-Ken, but her multiplier was barely in the teens.

Bulla still left to contact her, and Videl...admitted much the same. She knew she was getting stronger, but her gains had never been as fast as Bulla's, and she had to admit, going up against the Demon, Majin Buu as they now knew him to be named, was a prospect that frightened her. She would offer what aid she could, but as a direct combatant, she wasn't going to be much in the way of help, and she was sorry.

Bulla, still remembering their time as Vella, understood, and apologized herself, for not seeing how it would hurt her friend to be forced to admit this, but the two ended the conversation laughing, as Bulla came out, Bulma insisting she'll explain what was going on to the school, as Bulla, Lapis, Goku, Cooler, Krillin, and Jeice all held hands, and Kibito stood in the center, holding his hands in a certain way, before vanishing, with Kai-Kai, a teleportation technique unique to the Supreme Kai and their apprentices.

This brought the group to the Sacred World of the Kais, something Cooler laments his father had always wanted, considering it the only world in the universe worthy of being his Throne World. This place had been a dream of his line for conquest, the top of the top, for so long, and now here he was, not as a ruler, but as an invited guest. It was such an absurd notion when you got down to it.

He assured Shin that he had given up thoughts of conquest...for a few millennia at least. For now, he knew only that this, Majin Buu, had found him a tasty snack, and the first worthy to be absorbed since the Kais. An honor, if you thought about it, but one he was going to make sure didn't happen a second time, as he and the others sat together, and began training under Kibito.

It didn't take long, the Limiters, mixed with weights, and a dozen other various things. They discussed the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, something the Supreme Kai knew nothing about, but was quite interesting when it was explained to him. However, as he noted, that chamber, while useful, should not be overused. There was a reason Mr. Popo had originally put in a two year limit, and while they could use it more often now, it was still not good to spend so much of one's life 'outside of time'.

Still, with Kibito and Shin helping, the group was seeing their power rise in leaps and bounds. Krillin wasn't even the most improved this time, though he did pick up a few new tricks. Instead it was Bulla and Cooler, as the two seemed near tireless in their efforts to get stronger, even sharing a moment after an intense session to lay out that Bulla's motivation was her fear of Buu, and wanting to be as strong as possible, while Cooler...he just hated that he got beat. It was as simple as that, he didn't like to lose, especially not when it endangered his future plans.

That led into her asking him about those plans, and he laid it out. He was no villain, to be sure, but a paragon of virtue was outside his wheelhouse as well. He considered himself a...sane individual. He would live practically forever. His people, not species but his family, were designed. They did not breed, but instead made new versions of themselves using science, and in over twenty generations of this, not one had died of old age.

That wasn't to say they were immortal. Each generation, back to Frost, had seen itself felled by the up and coming one, and the drive to make another was ingrained into them. Even Cooler felt it, and knew he would eventually give into it, and make a little mutant all his own. But he intended on them being better, not just stronger, in the same way Cold had made him to be a better person.

He had to laugh at that, actually. Cold, knowing their history, had designed his first offspring to not have a desire for conquest in the same way as their family usually did. Oh, he wanted to be on top, after all, everyone wanted that, but rule? That was a lot of work. Besides, grinding the universe under one's heel seemed counterproductive in Cooler's estimation. Why go to all the trouble?

Let the universe live for itself, and only step in when you need to, to ensure your own position. Otherwise, find the best people for administration, and set them up to keep it going. That was how he'd found the Galactic King, a designed lifeform, similar to his own family, as much as his father and brother would disagree, but built for the task of overseeing things like the economy and infrastructure.

Since he'd come to live on Earth, now bereft of his palaces and servants, he had to admit, he'd been more fulfilled than before. Training made him stronger, he was even on the verge of refining his 'fifth form' into something more. But even that paled in comparison to his gains on a personal level. Oh, he wasn't talking about family or friends, nice as those were, but instead his view of administration.

He had dismissed those details before, believed like all his family until then, that those details were for the minions, but watching the dance of economy, the growth, not only of individual worlds, but of the galaxy as a whole? It was a breathtaking thing, and he knew, had he done as all his ancestors, he would have squashed it in its infancy, as a danger to his rule, never seeing the glory it could achieve.

Maybe, as he admitted, one day far in the future, the urge to conquer would come back, but looking at the galaxy as it was now, at how they were expanding to other galaxies, spreading throughout the universe, he couldn't say it would be any time soon. And until that day came, Cooler would fight to protect this beautiful thing called 'Civilization' from threats to it, both those born outside and within.

The pair bonded enough that, as the others in the group took notice, eventually leading to Lapis getting, not fully jealous, but enough to challenge the former tyrant, and, through a protracted battle, winning out, something Cooler complimented him on, proposing that any offspring of the enhanced human and the hybrid would be so formidable that even the Destroyer himself might need to quake in fear.

The match also convinced Shin, with only six months left until the tournament, that they might be ready, taking the entire group over to a place that Kais considered sacred. Here, atop a massive pillar of rock, a sword, the Z-Sword, the ultimate blade, was driven into the stone. This weapon, from a time before even the oldest of his relations, was said to contain a wondrous power, for the one who could draw it forth.

Lapis, being a bit more direct, asked why no one just destroyed the pillar of stone, draw it that way, but Kibito smirked, and offered to let him do that, which he did...only for the Sacred World of the Kais to respond in kind, the ki blast literally being absorbed by the planet, and then shot outwards as light, the Supreme Kai himself smiling, and explaining that harming their world merely added to the glory of the universe, Lapis' blast probably fueling an entire world's creation somewhere out there in the stars.

Now realizing that the sword would have to be drawn out, rather than blasted, Lapis took the first try, straining his Infinity Engine to its limit against the weapon, only to finally give up after a few minutes of effort, rubbing his shoulders as they were sore, and offering to let Cooler try next, the alien doing little better, lifting the blade perhaps a fraction of a millimeter from its resting place, before being forced to drop it.

Bulla, encouraged by the two, went next, and as she strained herself against the blade's hilt, she let loose a cry, frustration and anger mixing with determination, as her hair sparked golden, her muscles bulging, but only able to pull the blade a bit more, just a small amount, before being forced to drop it. She didn't stop, however, and instead closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then focused again.

This time a magenta glow touched her golden aura, as she forced the mixture of Kaio-Ken and Super Saiyan, something Goku had failed to achieve, and to be fair, she had herself, but driven to do this, unwilling to accept that the blade would not come, she pushed her body. Then with a shout that echoed to the horizon, she finally lifted the thing from the ground, the blade pulling free, and held aloft.

She then immediately dropped the blade, her body seeming to just collapse in on itself as her ki ran out, Goku surging forward to grab her, just as the sword hit the ground. The impact not only shook the world beneath their feet, but the sheer power of it was enough to toss them all off the stone pillar, Goku hugging his daughter even closer to his chest, as they all stared at the weapon in shock. The weight of it dropping only a few feet was enough that any other world would have shattered under the impact.

When Bulla awoke, almost a full day later, they were overjoyed, though, as she revealed, it had taken a lot out of her, and after an attempt to fly nearly dropped her a hundred meters, after shooting her up that high without meaning too, she turned her Limiters on full, to keep any accidents from befalling her. As such, the blade was left where it had fallen, as the group continued to train, while the Supreme Kai and his student did their best to attend to her.

The scene briefly shifts back to Earth, where Videl is sparing with Lazuli, and helping her and Bulma watch their kids, Marron proving to be almost as rambunctious as Trunks, as the two two year olds constantly played around the yard, flying about, having learned the skill by watching their elders. As it turned out, Marron had developed a kind of biological version of the Infinity Engine in her body, and Lazuli lamented that her family were probably stuck with that for life.

Of course, Bulma brought up that her brother and Bulla had been discussing a child...not soon, Bulla had just turned eighteen a few months ago, after all, but if their offspring had that same trait, then it would a saiyan-human hybrid, with an Infinity Engine. Lazuli, thinking about it, shuddered, and claimed she would totally need a million zenny an hour to babysit, before the three started laughing.

When the scene shifted back to the group, it had been a week, and Bulla, psyching herself up, was finally back to normal with her ki, which they noted was far, far more potent than before, Shin noting that mixing Super Saiyan with Kaio-Ken had not just multiplied her power normally, but exponentially instead, likely also causing her ki disorder that had kept her from training much.

Still, her power stretched that far and was coming back even stronger, and when everyone else still failed to lift the Z-Sword, save Krillin, and only by surging to his limit with Kaio-Ken, Bulla proved able to heft it up. Not easily, mind, the thing weighed enough that she barely could lift it, but as she moved with it in her hands, she wondered at the power it held. Weight sure, but was this really an ultimate weapon?

Kibito admitted he had expected it to be more than heavy as well, but then noted just how strong she had to be to lift it. Perhaps the weapon itself was not the power source, but more a key to power? After all, if she could learn to move normally while wielding such a thing, she would be unstoppable, would she not? The others, seeing no real reason to disagree, went along with it, and so Bulla trained with her new weapon.

It was actually only an episode of montages later that the narrative shifted ahead three months, finding Bulla at the very least, able to move with the sword now, commenting that anyone who could learn to do it quicker was probably some kind of genius, especially as, while the others had tried, they still found it hard to move, with only Cooler, interestingly, able to do so with any real skill.

Still, after a few times using it, and showing how powerful it was when she swung it and literally split a mountain, a wound the Sacred World of the Kais healed far more slowly than expected, she felt she was ready. Shin, agreeing, as they had only a month left until the Martial Arts Tournament, decided to test the blade, making several blocks of various materials, each one harder than the last.

Finally, it came to a block of Katchin, the strongest metal in the universe, found only in dying stars, or made by the hands of a Supreme Kai like himself. If the sword could cut this, it would prove how potent a weapon it was. Bulla, up for the challenge, has Shin throw the block at her, as she swings the weapon from the side, intending on slicing the block clean through with a single stroke.

And to be fair, the blade dented the metal, the side coming away with a large gash in it. The problem, however, was that the blade, upon biting that deep, decided that it would go no farther, and with a crack like glass shattering, the blade split in two, shocking everyone, as the sword's upper half fell to the ground...but strangely, it struck with no more power than such metal would were it mere iron.

Shocked, but not speechless, Cooler walked up, and then nearly fell over backwards, as he lifted the severed piece of the blade easily, and began tossing it in his hand, before giving it up to Krillin, who simply stared in wonder, asking aloud how such a thing, something so heavy a moment ago, could now be so light. And when he got an answer everyone jumped back, as a new voice told them that it was because a seal within the sword had come undone at its breaking.

Everyone spun around and beheld...an older version of Shin. At least, that was what they thought at first, but as he walked towards them, it was obvious that he was a different person entirely. He was old, no doubt about that, the wrinkles on his face, and aura that spoke of passing ages was a testament to that. But beyond his age, you could see a sparkle of joy in his eyes that, to be fair, Shin's lacked.

The Elder Kai, former Supreme Kai from fifteen generations before the current one, introduced himself, claiming that he had been sealed inside the sword for ages, waiting for someone to draw it forth, and then break the blasted thing, that he might be free. This information shocked the two, who had heard the legend of the Z-Sword, but never a word about someone being locked inside it.

When questioned on who could seal a being of creation like himself in such an object, the Elder Kai merely waved them off, saying it was the Destroyer, the self same one that Cooler had spoken of. That also meant that this Destroyer was older than any other being in the cosmos, which was confirmed by Shin, who admitted that Destroyers were supposed to switch out, almost as often as Kais, but the current one was simply too powerful to unseat.

Still, he informed them that he knew all about why they were fighting, even of the alternate timeline that Bulla, Appule, and Videl had experienced, his sense of self shared with the world the sword had been stabbed into, so allowing him to experience all that was, or so he claimed. Regardless, he offered without prompting, to unseal the dormant power found within one of them, using a ritual not dissimilar to the one Namekians had used on Bulla previously.

That had shocked her, as she had, honestly, forgotten about that ritual, remembering how it boosted her training, at first, one Namek, but it had fallen in usefulness as they'd done more. The Elder Kai nodded at this, pointing out the Namekian version was an imitation, as much as the Dragon Balls were made in the image of a greater set of wishing spheres that could summon other beings.

His power, however, was far, far greater than theirs. It would, naturally, take time to do, but for freeing him, he was willing to put in the effort, though as he noted, the ritual took so much out of him, he could only do it once every few years, so they should think carefully of who the gift should be given too. And they did think, for all of five minutes, before by a semi-unanimous vote, missing only Bulla herself, she was elected to take the powerup.

As promised, the ritual, which seemed to be a dance around her, took hours. The Elder Kai stated that, normally, it was a thing of an hour, and some meditation afterwards, but with potential like hers, this was going to be a while, as he made odd motions and noises, his body flowing from one pose to the next around her, while the others continued with their own training, sometimes taking a moment to watch.

It took, surprisingly, almost three days, one full day of dancing, and two of meditation, to finally finish, and when it was, Bulla claimed to feel no different, and the others agreed. The Elder Kai, however, smirked, and told her to power up, and keep going as far as she could. Confused, she did so, her aura flaring out...and then continuing to build, until a hurricane seemed to form around her, without her doing anything more than standing there shouting.

The Ultimate Form, as the Elder Kai dubbed it, was all her potential. That Kaio-Ken thing, and her Super Saiyan power, both at their maximum, all without straining herself, and then multiplying all that by her base, which was as if she had fully rested and healed. It was, as he declared it, a form without equal. Even the Destroyer couldn't match it...well, not easily anyway, and it would give her a distinct advantage over Majin Buu.

The rest of the team took turns sparing against Bulla both in and out of her Ultimate Form, her power increasing almost by the minute, until the very day of the Tournament arrived, and the group, not competing, but merely observing, made their way to the arena, watching as some faces, the familiar and the unfamiliar, readied themselves for combat in the ring, Shin pointing out the M symbol on some of their foreheads.

There were a few humans, but the majority were of a race identified as Zoon-Seijin, from the planet Zun, a distant world, known for being a place of peace and meditation. To see almost a dozen of their ranks in a tournament all about combat was shocking, but few knew of their history, and so questioned the appearance of these warriors little, even as the Dragon Team took their seats, and began to listen.

The martial tournament, with reigning champion Mark 'Hercule' Satan, was not quite as fast as the previous one, and Hercule himself finally, after two consecutive wins, lost his crown, to a power suppressed Nappa, who held up the belt, and the two men walked off to enjoy drinks together, neither one having been warned of the coming storm, as the weapons and armor round was next.

This was the moment they'd been waiting for, as the group tensed, and Shin, stretching his senses out, felt the flow of energy coming from one of Babidi's thralls, eventually tracing it to a place far away, Krillin, without being obvious, using Instant Transmission to teleport the group to the spot that Shin indicated, everyone arriving in a rock formation, overlooking a seemingly squat building.

The ground around it, slightly smoother than all the rest of the rocky terrain, marked the building as nothing more than a front, Kibito using his own sense to feel the shape of a massive ship beneath them, and at the bottom, buried deep in the Earth, the sealed ball that contained Majin Buu. The confirmation was enough to give all of them pause, which was, as it turned out, enough time for a door in the ship to open, and a pair of figured to emerge.

One, a squat, toad of a being, was identified instantly by Shin as Babibi, the reincarnation of Bibidi, but the other sent he and Kibito into fits of asking how it was possible for him to be here. The man, wearing a flowing blue outfit with white boots boasted long, pointed ears, and bright pink skin, along with black hair, and a pair of nub like horns on his forehead, making Goku briefly think of Spike, the Devil-Man who served as a fighter for Fortune Teller Baba.

The Kais quickly told the group that it was Dabura, one of the Great Kings of the Demon world, another space, connected to their existence, where those tainted by the wickedest of auras dwelt. To have one like him in his thrall was a testament to just how strong Babidi was, and though Cooler was quick to point out how weak he felt, Shin informed them his strength was more in the tricks and powers he knew, not in direct confrontation.

As if that were his cue, Dabura suddenly vanished from where he and Babidi stood, appearing before the group, smirking at them as he chuckled, naming each off in turn, and telling Shin how foolish he was to think they could train in secret, even on his Sacred World of the Kais. Babidi, his great master, had felt their intentions to stop the rise of Majin Buu, and they had prepared for this day with much joy.

He then spit, twice, the two wads flying straight at Krillin and Bulla, who both blocked their faces with their arms, Bulla proclaiming him to be disgusting as she tried to go into her Ultimate Form and just end him, only to notice that her arm had turned to stone, a condition Krillin shared, and both of them soon being rendered lifeless statues, as Dabura explained they would remain that way, until he was dead, vanishing as Lapis and Goku tried to attack him.

He reappeared next to Babidi, who used his magic to speak to them, telling them they were welcome to come into his ship, and Dabura would be waiting for them at its lowest level. Of course, like his servant in the tournament, every beautiful kili of energy they used to do battle in his ship would be transferred into the Sealed Ball, and further hasten the revival of Buu.

The pair quickly excuse themselves into the ship, and without waiting, Goku shoots off into it, Cooler, Jeice, and Lapis following swiftly behind, while Shin orders Kibito to take the stoned pair to the Sacred World of the Kais for now, where they would be safe. The apprentice nodded, vanishing with the statues, as the Supreme Kai, looking quite nervous, joined the group in descending into the darkness of the ship.

They soon came to a room, a large chamber, which featured odd walls, and a door in the center, one that refused to open. When they were about to risk blasting it, a figure suddenly appears before them, one who identifies himself as Pui Pui, leader of the Zoon-Seijin working for Babidi, strongest of their number. He explains to them that there were three levels below them, each featuring one of Babidi's most powerful thralls, in order to force them to expend the most amount of energy.

Should they prove strong enough, they would proceed past this chamber to the next, and then the one after, before finally arriving at the bottom of the ship, where Babidi himself waited for them. Of course, since they wouldn't be leaving this chamber alive, that was a moot point, and he soon got ready for battle, smirking at the group, and asking them to come at him all at once, or choose a champion.

Lapis at first stepped up, but Goku asked to be the first. While he was certain this one would be the weakest, he had some…'issues' he wanted to work out with him. The younger looking man stepped aside, and allowed his future father-in-law to take this one on, Babidi somehow teleporting the room to Zun itself, a world with ten times the gravity of Earth, something Pui Pui was sure would give him an advantage.

Goku, chuckling, informs him that he trains under far more grueling conditions than this, and without another word, moves, seemingly just teleporting, to right in front of Pui Pui. Then he vaporizes him. No build up, no attack called out, just a single motion, and a blast of ki, and the minion is reduced to dust, an action that shocks the wizard and the demon watching, both expressing how unbelievable that sort of strength was.

Worse, while it gained them more power than the Tournament was, by a significant margin, it had still been a mostly controlled burst of power, meaning they had not gained nearly as much as they should have. That left the wizard quite put out, until the demon advised him to send Yakon next. That one, while not their strongest, would be able to gather some of the energy at least, before he was felled.

The wizard, still somewhat nervous, does just that, trying to put on a brave face as he allows the Team down one level, and then transformers that level into a world completely shrouded in darkness. Shin identifies it as a planet called Dark Star, somewhere at the edge of the known universe, and home to a wicked race of light eating beings known as the Ankoku-Seijin, one of which he knows of named Yakon, who was said to be a horrifying creature.

Yakon, thanking the Supreme Kai for the introduction, reveals himself, and informs them that defeating Pui Pui was no small feat. He would do them the honor of taking them seriously right from the start, and advised them to power up as far as they would go, lest he end them too quickly. As if to prove his point, Goku suddenly felt a motion, and dodged out of the way of an attack, the group blind in this dark world.

Jeice, claiming this fight for himself, so Cooler could have the next, and Goku to the Demon, powered up, revealing as he did that Pyroclasts, in addition to making solid ki constructs, could make their ki light up as well, firing a bolt into the sky to provide some illumination, literally lighting up the entire planet around them, sending monstrous creatures scurrying away into the darker shadows.

Yakon, revealed as a green front like thing covered in sharp spikes, merely laughs, and then, with his mouth open, sucks in the light in the sky, consuming it completely, and casting the world back into darkness. Worse, as he reveals, every bit of light he eats in this manner increases his power. To be able to fight him, they will have to see, and every time they brighten this place, he'll simply grow in power, eventually defeating them.

Jeice, very unconcerned, throws another light into the sky, and then, as Yakon chides him and snacks on it, Jeice reveals this was not a light ki, but a solid one, and suddenly transforms it into a disk, sharp enough that as it struck Yakon, the beast was split in two, the halves standing just long enough for Jeice to make a motion with his hand, detonating the disk of ki, and doing in the monster.

This was, again, a shock to the pair who had set the beast on them, and though they were overjoyed to find that the Tournament, now moving into the ki based rounds, had provided them a good twenty-two percent of the energy they needed all on its own, the attack of the Supreme Kai's forces had only given them fifteen percent. It was nowhere near enough to even try to bind Majin Buu to Babidi's will.

Dabura, watching the tournament, sighed, and asked Babidi to give him what power he could, the wizard doing so with a few hand signs and his magic word. The demon, seemingly scoffing in contempt, then powered up himself, Babadi remarking as he did so that he was far stronger than he had been a moment ago, and for just a second, it seemed the demon would chide the wizard, but Dabura composed himself, and merely informed him that it was his magic at work.

He became the third level opponent, Cooler, seeing this, allowed Goku to take out his frustration on the Demon King, saying he'd have more fun with the wizard himself, when they went down to the next level. Dabura, hearing this, informed them that, though they had gotten farther than expected, this was where their advance ended, and proceeded to power up, his aura flaring with dark magic, enough to shake the ship.

Babidi, fearing the disturbance might wake Buu early, sent the fighters to another realm, the demon realm itself, a world of acidic rivers, and barren landscape. Dabura, seeing this, smiled, and introduced all of those present to his home. The gravity fluctuated, going from less than Earth's, to a hundred or more times that, depending on where you stood, and the landscape stretched forever in its terrible beauty.

This was the world to which all darkness belonged. Decay and despair were what fueled this place, and even the Kais could fall and become part of their number, as he himself was testament. Yes, he revealed he had been a Kai, once, long ago. Shin's predecessor had been his brother in arms, but when he had been chosen over Dabura to guide this universe, Dabura had fallen here, rather than returning to the land of the Core People as he ought.

It was he, from here, who had whispered dark magics into the ear of a sorcerer looking to get ahead, telling him the name of one of the primal forces, allowing him to bind it into a shape, and call it Majin Buu, all in the name of his revenge. Mortals, no matter how strong, would not stand in the way of that, of his conquest of this 'better' world, so he might draw it into the demon realms, where it would be corrupted and twisted to his desires.

Goku, hearing this, attacked with everything he had, but much to the shock of everyone present, Dabura was able to withstand the blow. The Demon King, laughing, reminded him that those lesser servants his friends had so easily defeated were, after all, lesser than he. He was a Demon King, rage and hate were his watchword, and with such emotions swirling inside Goku's soul, well, it wasn't impossible for the mortal to defeat him, but it would take an effort.

The clashing powers, each blow shaking the Demon Realm to its core, saw the meter measuring the spell's power rise, perceptibly with each blow blocked or thrown by Goku. Worse, the others in his group dare not interfere, as they would only add to the rise, as Babidi began to give a countdown to them, giving a note each time a percentage rose, telling them how close they were coming to the end of their world.

Goku was listening too, of course, and growing more desperate. Finally, when he heard 90% from the Wizard, he decided to go for the big win, and flared his aura gold, turning Super Saiyan, before stacking Kaio-Ken on top of it, as high as he could. It hurt, as expected, his body literally screaming at him for doing it, but firing a Kamehameha at Dabura saw the Demon King screaming in fear, and his body vanishing into light.

It did, sadly, have an effect on the meter, boosting it to 98%, but as they came back, and Babidi mocked them, saying he would keep them in that room until the meter was full, Jeice informed him that he really wasn't going to do that, drawing a blade of ki, and slicing through the hatch that led to the final level, causing the wizard to squeak in fear, as the group, Shin carrying Goku, descended towards him.

Back on the Sacred World of the Kais, looking through a crystal ball, Kibito and Elder Kai were ecstatic. They'd done it, slaying the Demon King, the greatest of Babidi's minions. Now, the Wizard was defenseless, and they could easily slay him, and return to the Sacred World with the Sealed Ball. It would take time to undo the magics of Buu's creation, but Kibito was confident they could, a fact he told to the statues of Krillin and Bulla.

The group landed in the bottom level of the ship, the sniveling wizard decrying their intrusion, when he was so close to fulfilling his ambition. As such, he placed a finger on the orb, and threatened. He would pull the pin, as it were, and Buu would be freed, free of all influences, and he would wreak terrible destruction over the whole of the universe. Or, he would be freed in a few minutes to do what Babidi willed him to do, perhaps a bit darker, but nowhere near as random.

Stuck there, for a moment, the group made no movement, at least until Cooler flickered, and suddenly Babidi was smashed into from behind by the tyrant's tail, the mass of muscle slamming hard into his tiny body, only surviving due to a quick spell that held it together, as he threw up a barrier, to protect him. That same barrier, blocking his magic, prevented him from casting at the ball, however.

It mattered little, as the Summoned Ball suddenly shuddered, one of the Zoon Seijin firing a blast at his opponent, a strong thing that would have made his commander Pui Pui proud. But regardless, the damage it did, the power in the block, was just enough to tick the needle over to 100%, and everyone, from the Wizard to the heroes, stared in awe and terror, as the orb began to rise from the pedestal, magical script surrounding it.

The Wizard, ecstatic, used his magic to take the lowest chamber of his ship to the surface, so they could watch in the light of the setting sun, the release of the being that would ensure no more sunsets would kiss this sky. His elation only rose, as the ball began to shimmer with energy, the magical writing spinning around it faster and faster, until it slammed home onto the ball, and it split wide.

The two halves, empty, clattered to the ground, shocking everyone at first, causing them all to think, if only for a moment, that this had all been for nothing, that Majin Buu had perished in his seal, but Shin, he was not fooled, and pointed upwards, to a pink cloud of smoke, which slowly coalesced into the form of Majin Buu as seen in the past, a rotund creature, with a childlike face and voice.

Babidi seems taken aback by this, but everyone is startled as Dabura climbs out of Goku's shadow, revealing his survival, and what's more, that he had altered the spell of Babidi. In the days before, when he had manipulated Bibidi, he had been content to allow the Wizard to have his fun with the creature, Majin Buu, but seeing how thoroughly he had failed, the Demon King felt it justified to take the reins from him.

As such, he had altered the spell, in a way that made Buu subject to his will, and to test his control, he ordered the creature to end the Wizard, and these foolish mortals, before they would take this terror out to the whole of the universe, and spread it far and wide. He laughed, picturing it all, the cries of anguish, the terrified screams, and the dying cries of billions, feeding into his power.

It was a minute later when no one had moved, that he gave the command again, and Buu, looking at him, just harrumphed, and sat down declaring he didn't like the demon, that he seemed mean, and when Dabura, aghast, ordered him to obey, Majin Buu just blew a raspberry at him, as Babidi, laughing his butt of, declared that, of course he knew Dabura had altered the spell, he WAS a wizard after all, and he'd altered it back.

At his command, Buu got up, reluctantly, and Dabura, staring at him, did the first thing that came to mind, spitting at the creature, and causing it to start to turn to stone. But then the petrification was reversed, as Majin Buu's own magic proved stronger than the Demon's power, and he smiled, a dark and twisted grin, staring at Dabura, and then saying he'd be better as a cookie.

A bolt of pink lightning came from the end of Buu's head tail, the Demon King, shocked still, did not even try to dodge, instead being hit by the bolt, and transformed. His body took on the look of a cookie, though shaped like himself, and sized like it too, as he started to fall from the sky, Buu seemingly just dancing casually over to catch the huge treat.

When it was in his hands, Buu devoured the Demon King, his mouth expanding to take in the treat, and then consuming him without even bothering to chew, his belly jiggling as it landed within. Worse, the moment he had finished, everyone could feel Buu's power increase. Not that it hadn't been immense before, but the Demon King's energies had been added to it, revealing the truly terrifying power of this being.

Babidi ordered Buu to then take down the others, but before he could even start Kibito suddenly appeared, along with Krillin and Bulla, the two easily smashing Buu into the ground, before leaping back to join the others, saying Kibito had filled them in, and they were both rather angry with having been taken out so easily. Lapis, for his part, hugged Bulla in delight, only for both to be grabbed into a large bear hug by Goku, the runion cut short as Babidi screamed in irritation at them.

Buu, recovering from the surprise hits, pulled himself from the ground, and quickly set about fighting the group, showing that, strong as he was, he was no real match for them power-wise. The problem, as it had been in their battle with it on Namek was simply that putting Buu down was simple. Keeping him down was beyond impossible, as even the best attacks they came up with did little to it.

Still, they did get some hits in, and after a time, Buu, trying to escape, became furious, and without warning, his body suddenly erupted into steam, the larger Buu going still, as some kind of second iteration of the creature, grey and haggard looking, formed from the smoke that he had emitted. This second Buu, looking at the group, then at the 'Fat Buu' chose the second as his target.

Babidi, not sure what was going on, ordered the two Buus to stop this, and instead fight the heroes, but when they turned to him, both Buus simply looked at each other, shrugged, and then together fired a blast that vaporized the wizard, before returning to their own struggle, shocking everyone, as they watched the pair battle, unsure of what to do themselves, until finally, the Grey Buu had proven the victor.

The Fat Buu attempted to turn the Grey Buu into a cookie, same as it had done to Dabura in desperation, but the Grey Buu turned the attack back on it, transforming the other Buu into a palm sized cookie version of itself. Bulla, seeing a lull, tried to intervene before Grey Buu could consume it, figuring now as the time to jump in, but Grey Buu simply 'dodged' her attack by literally opening up its body so she flew through it, before downing the tasty treat.

This immediately caused a reaction within the Grey Buu, and when it had finished its transformation, it was in a far leaner, far stronger looking form. It seemed as shocked as anyone, commenting on how it felt...changed. Buu then decided to test itself against the heroes, and this time, the battle did not go nearly as well, the whole group being knocked aside, save Bulla, who had to use her Ultimate Form just to keep up.

Cooler, frustrated, declared he would not be left behind in this battle, and revealed that his own training had done more for him than just give him power, it had shown him a form beyond even the Fifth Form(seen only through Buu in the other timeline). On declaring this, he asked the others to buy him some time, as he would need it to gather the energy, a moment or two, and they obliged.

What followed was a transformation not unlike his and Frieza's third form, seen only briefly at one point so far. His took on the armor of the fifth form, looking muscular, but then it swelled again, the arms growing longer, until they could reach the floor, as a second set of limbs pulled their way from his torso, and his head stretched out, becoming something like Appule's, except for the spikes that grew along the side.

When he was done, Cooler charged in, knocking Buu too the ground with a single blow, and then following up with a barrage that was similar to Lazuli's, the power of each shot not even slightly diminished as he hammered the gooey creature, keeping it down, while telling the others to think of something, as even with his power, this would only keep the monster down for so long.

Bulla helped, but as before, they were at a loss. Buu simply came back. Even vaporizing him did nothing to him. And worse, he was coming back just as strong, even as they exhausted themselves. Lapis pointed out the latter wasn't true for him, but then admitted he was no match for Buu on his own, and would probably not be able to keep him down forever at this rate, they needed to think of a more permanent solution.

Goku, struggling to stay standing, asked about the Evil Containment Wave, and Krillin admitted it might work, but before he could ask Shin to make a vessel to try it, goop, separated from Buu over the course of the fight, formed into a blanket behind Cooler and Bulla, threatening to engulf them. His instincts, frozen at the sight of this as he tried to think of an attack to use, failed him just long enough for others to act.

Jeice, leaping up, slashed the pile of goop coming from Cooler, cutting it in two, but only causing it to engulf him as well, while Goku, desperate to save his daughter after allowing her to be turned to stone, dove forward, and with a shout, knocked her away, just as the goo wave swallowed him, the three masses then flying into Buu, causing his body to shift and change before their eyes.

When he stood, his body now wore Goku's jumpsuit, in place of his old outfit, and his head featured black hair with bony spikes, as well as a tail, covered in snow white fur. The new creature seemed as shocked as anyone, looking over itself, and then letting out a laugh as it rose into the air, declaring that, for all their strength, the group had only added to his majesty, and now, he would give them the honor of being the first to die to this new form.

To her credit, Bulla charged in. To her detriment, Bulla charged in. Her eyes filled with tears, her heart with rage, she struck with all the power her Ultimate Form allowed, and to be fair, it was far, far more than even this creature could bring to bear, at first. But each blow saw her strength ebb, and did nothing to even slow the creature, who even chided her in Goku's voice, telling her to control her rage, not let it control her.

Lapis, creating a barrier between the two, forced them apart, grabbing Bulla's hand, and assuring her this wasn't over, as they raced back to Krillin, Shin, and Kibito, the group vanishing. Buu, quite put out, merely shrugged. They wouldn't be able to escape him forever, and for now, he knew of a place with plenty of strong people to add to his power, which he rushed off to dine on, before the Tournament ended.

The group appeared on the Lookout, Bulla crying on Lapis' shoulder, even as Krillin borrowed her phone, calling Bulma, Lazuli, and anyone he could, telling them to get to the Lookout, that Buu was free...only to be cut off as the signal died. Roshi, sensing what was happening, manifested a TV, wide screen, which showed the Tournament, Videl in the middle of the final match of the ki division against Nail.

Buu had appeared in the sky above, and declared in a voice that rattled windows over the whole island, that he had never before seen such a feast, and would enjoy dining on all of them, causing everyone below to freeze. Fighters, of all walks, started to fire at him from the ground, as did some of the Galactic Patrol stationed on the island as police, heir shots doing little. Even the Battle Armor of Heloite who won the weapons tournament, or Videl and Nails' strongest attacks simple bounced off him.

When everyone below had emptied themselves at him, Buu smiled, and declared it was meal time, before he moved his hands, and with a wave, the people, without seemingly any indication, were transformed into a huge variety of sweets, from cupcakes and pies, to jawbreakers and candy bars, all of them floating off the ground, remote cameras following them as they rose into the air, and were consumed by Buu.

Everyone looked on horrified, as the monster just ate everyone, Bulla listing off names of everyone they knew, all of which vanished into his consuming maw, and left him picking his teeth, before he flew off, saying he was still hungry. That image was allowed to stick, before the camera stopped following him, and they all just layed down, unable to process what they'd seen, until Krillin finally declared he'd need the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

The others pointed out that gaining power would do little against the monster, and Krillin admitted it wouldn't, but he knew of a technique, something from the people who gave him Instant Transmission, that might. He'd never seen the point of it before, as it had little use in battle, but if he could perfect it, maybe with Shin and Kibito's help, then they could get everyone back.

The trio went into the Chamber, while the rest merely waited, watching as Buu went from city to city, devouring those who dwelt there. The Galactic Patrol did say a larger force was coming, trying to evacuate the Earth if nothing else, but in a few hours, less than a day, the planet was pretty much done, and Buu, sensing only a few powers left, shot up to the Lookout, and was confronted by those defenders left.

Lapis and Bulla, the only ones outside, told Kami, Mr. Popo, and even Roshi to stand back, as the monster smirked at them, and then said to try their best, which the pair smirked back, and assured him, they would, performing the fusion dance, perfectly, on their first try, the being emerging from it being something with Bulla's tail, Lapis' hair, and a physique that was stronger than either one.

The fusion, calling itself Lala, rose into the air, and declared the monster would go no farther, as it powered up...and up...and up...for almost a minute, the utter scale of its power, boosted not only by Ultimate Form, but by the Infinity Engine in its body, was such that Lala simply moved, and then began to wail on the monster, the fusion's fist moving only once to even Roshi's eyes, but hundreds, maybe thousands of impressions of it appearing in Buu's rubbery flesh.

The creature then shot backwards, into the sky, becoming nothing more than a twinkle, before Lala pursued it, telling Roshi and Mr. Popo to keep Kami safe, as they assumed the Dragon Balls would be necessary to fix up everything, once this was all over with. They then shot off after the monster, the two colliding in the air with a blast of concussive force that shook the Earth miles below.

And they fought. The battle, going into extreme, took up episodes at a time, as they went back and forth, neither one able to gain the other hand, but Buu constantly reminding them of the thirty minute time limit on a fusion like them. They kept resisting though, Lapis' defensive shields allowing them to blow away every attempt by the monster to engulf them, and eventually resulting in the creature declaring he'd end this, in annoyance.

Climbing into the sky, he used an attack, similar to something Bulla recognized from her youth. An orb of pale white light, launched into the sky, bright enough to be seen from the Lookout, and starring at it, Buu began to change, fur growing from his body, a mixture of brown, black, and white that soon covered every inch of him, as a set of extra arms grew from his torso, turning him into a great ape of sorts.

Lala, seeing this, dodged a few attacks, but having to keep their eyes closed, to resist the change, the fusion was knocked around, at least until Lapis, somewhere deep inside, had an idea. With the shields he could make, the fusion created a set of shades over its eyes, and then, with a roar, it flared out its aura, lines of light soon fusing together around it to create an outline of a giant robot of sorts, made of Lapis' barriers.

The thing, looking like a Gundam, motioned for the Buu-zaru to bring it, and the titans clashed, their combat now creating cracks visible from space as they slammed into the ground at sonic speeds, and then rose back into the sky just as fast. Blasts of ki, and one rocket powered fist made of the same, shot between them, neither giving up a single inch of ground as they were tossed all around.

Finally, back at the Lookout, Krillin emerged, and told Kami to get the two to come to them, as he made a motion with his hand, and snuffed out the artificial moon without any effort at all. That done, the Buu-zaru slowly transformed back into itself, and with an effort, Lala was able to grab it in its giant robot hands, carrying it back to the Lookout, just as the fusion finally ended, and the two fell to the ground, both seemingly ready to go right back into it.

Krillin had other plans, though, and as Buu rose to his feet, he found himself suddenly held fast by some kind of light pouring from the shorter man's hands, held before him in two fists. Slowly, he began to pull the fists apart, Buu looking like he was being torn to shreds by it, only to be consumed by the light, turning him into a single orb of light, that then slowly performed mitosis, turning into two.

When Krillin opened his hand with one, the orb popped like a bubble, spilling five figures onto the Lookout, three of their friends, and two looking not unlike Shin and Kibitio, who looked around, quite confused. However, before anyone could answer them, Krillin let out a cry of pain, and his other fist opened with an explosion, tossing him backwards, as the other orb popped as well, revealing Buu, the original child sized creature, who seemed less than thrilled to be here.

His head whipped about, staring at those around him, seemingly angry, until a sadistic glint came to his eyes, and he grinned, holding out his hand, which glowed with an awful red light. Before anything could happen, Shin ordered everyone to hold hands, and then, with a flash of instantaneous movement, everyone was transported from the Lookout, to the Sacred World of the Kais, just as the planet Earth exploded.

The next episode saw the entire group appearing on the Kai world, all looking quite put out. The Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai revealed they knew nothing of what was going on, their last memories being when they were engulfed by Buu, something similar happening to Jeice, Cooler, and Goku, so the others started to explain, until Elder Kai called them over to where he was sitting in front of a crystal ball.

Buu was loose. In the moment that this Buu, Pure Buu, was free of any other influence, it had destroyed the Earth, and then the Sun, and was even now...nope it had just slammed into the Galactic Patrol Fleet, the ships firing everything they had at the monster, and doing little damage at all, as it tore through their ships, transforming or simply slaying everyone on board, and moving on, reaching the nearest system, and destroying it as well.

Goku, watching all this, admitted he was confused. Buu, this Buu, seemed even more powerful than before, but how was that possible? Shouldn't freeing them have decreased his power? The Grand Supreme Kai was able to answer that, admitting that South Kai being engulfed as he had, had given him the idea. That the power of Pure Buu was the opposite of the Kais, destruction as opposed to creation.

With that in mind, absorbing them had not only altered his personality into something resembling a child, a deliberate act on the Grand Supreme Kai's part, but their power had actually lessened the monster's. Without them, he could no longer access their abilities, but instead had full access to his own power, which had grown with each life devoured, each world destroyed, leaving him nearly unstoppable.

That left them thinking, but it was Bulla, following up on that thought, who figured it out. Why not expose whatever magic made Buu possible to a huge burst of Kai power? If it's the opposite, wouldn't they cancel each other out? All five Kais, Elder, Grand Supreme, South Supreme, Shin, and Kibito seemed to see this as possible, but pointed out exposing his core would be difficult.

Worse, the Grand Supreme Kai pointed out they only one able to do this would be Shin himself, as he and South had been inside Buu so long, their connection to the worlds was broken. Elder, thanks to the Z-Sword was much the same, and Kibito, strong and dedicated as he was, was still just an apprentice, and thus, simply unable to use his power to that extent, leaving it all up to Shin.

Shin, nervous though he was, said that if they could hold Buu down long enough, he was certain he could do this, and as an added bonus, Mr. Popo, Kami, and Roshi were here to lend what aid they could, Mr. Popo even revealed he had the Dragon Balls that they might restore the worlds broken, when this was all done. Thanking them for that, Shin had Kibito teleport everyone but he and the six warriors off the planet.

That was when Elder Kai revealed he had one last gift to give. After seeing how strong a fusion of Lapis and Bulla was, he proposed fusing the others. While Jeice and Krillin could certainly do so, Cooler and Goku did not know the technique involved, and had no time at all to train in it. He had just the ticket though, gifting them his earrings. For mortals, it would fuse them together for one hour, plenty of time to see this done.

It decided, Shin prepared himself, as the others waited, Roshi psyching himself up to using Instantaneous Movement, grab Buu, bring him here, and then depart. The moment they were ready, the instant Buu was reforming from his most recent world destroying, they moved, Lala and Krice reforming, while Cooler and Goku put on the earrings, slamming together and forming Goler.

The minute they were done, Roshi moved, bringing Buu to before them, and then vanishing, joining the others on Namek, the world still where it had been in this timeline, and with Elder Moori happy to have them, as they watched the battle on the Sacred World of the Kais play out. And what a battle it was, as the three fusions, using skills and strength none would have been capable of alone, battered the monster.

It took almost the full time of the two fusion dance creations, but finally, with the World battered and broken around them, they were able to pile on Buu, and with Krillin's technique, and Jeice's power, they literally pulled a cable, seemingly made of glowing letters from Buu's stomach, Shin appearing right atop them, holding out his hand, and channeling all the power of the Kai he possessed into it.

The struggle went on for what felt like hours, lightning dancing between Shin's palm and the magical construct's core, but as Buu's struggles became greater, one could see a tear forming in the cable, one that grew greater, and greater, until, with a sudden blast of magic, the group was tossed backwards, as Buu himself dissolved into nothing but mist, that quickly dissolved into nothing at all.

The battle, now won, saw the three fusions soon collapse into the six warriors who made them up, while Shin, exhausted himself, lay down, watching as the Sacred World of the Kais healed itself, while on Namek, Shenron was summoned, and the Earth, along with a dozen worlds destroyed by Buu's rampage, were restored as well, the universe turning itself right once more.

Celebrations were had all over the Earth, and throughout the galaxy, as the Galactic King insisted on honoring the heroes of the hour, with Shin and the rest of the Kais retiring to their world after thanking them in their own way. Elder Kai even agreed, once his ability had recharged, to give the rest of them Ultimate Forms as well...though he noted it could be a while, given doing it for just Bulla kind of drained him more than he thought.

The final episode, being a sort of callback to Dragon Ball's featured the wedding of Lapis and Bulla, with Erasa pointing out that Bulla's age listed on the marriage certificate was more than it should be, a fact she was told to ignore by her boyfriend, who shared some cake with her, sliced to perfection by his ki blade. Happily accepting that, she joined the crowd wishing the couple many happy days.

The last shot is Lapis and Bulla, in a skycar, flying off into the sunset, the narrator promising nothing but beautiful days ahead for the Earth, and the universe entire, as their heroes would be there to protect it, now and forever. The ending image is a silhouette of Bulla kissing Lapis, and the car nearly falling to the side as he almost crashed it, only to right it, and vanish into the horizon.
