Test 674-3(Supplementary)
Subject Matter: Dragon Ball(Original Anime)
Target: Pilaf(A.K.A. The Great King Pilaf or Emperor Pilaf)
Results:
With the end of the Dragon Ball Super series, it was proposed to expose the D-Class to other media from the franchise, first in the form of the other movies, skipped previously, and the Dragon Ball GT series, another sequel series to Dragon Ball Z, which was considered to be of a lower quality than Super in general, though is known to be more in depth in things like the ending, which was designed to end the franchise entirely.
The movies had the same result as the previous Dead Zone movie(See Part 2 of this Report), with the media being erased entirely. GT, however, appears to have no change. There is a slight 'fuzziness' according to the D-Class, but the series otherwise played in acceptable condition, and did not deviate from its original plot, causing some to speculate that exposure to it rather than Super might result in a different 'narrative' line. This is pending.
The manga, and several games were also used, however, as with GT, other than a slight reduction in video quality, according to the D-Class, none of these media produced any further aberrations. The only exception within the gaming space, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 now includes a unique campaign mission that appears to be the player character from the game, taking the place of Dumplin in the side story with Krillin in the 'Dead Timeline' with Towa and Mira.
Playing through the adventure took approximately thirty-five minutes, rounded, and deviated little from what was shown, save for the substitution of Dumplin with the PC. The adventure involved three battles with Trunks against a few demon drones, as they were identified, and one stalling battle against Towa, as Krillin from the altered Super Timeline tricked Mira into destroying the crystal, restoring time to its proper course. No additional information was gleaned from it, however, the reward being merely a Kaio-Ken boost ability that was normal for the game. It did appear in the players inventory, and was functional, both for the D-Class and others.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly, a movie that is canon to the Super timeline, at first appeared to have only small alterations with Bonyu added to the Ginyu Force in the opening posing with them, and looking quite embarrassed about it. There is also a few lines of dialogue added about Cooler being replaced by Frieza due to his failure in allowing the Galactic Patrol to rise up enough to rival King Cold's own Empire.
The larger changes begin when it's shown that Broly's power level is actually normal, save for when he transforms, at which point it spikes so high that it breaks even the advanced Scouters that Frieza had just gifted them. This, however, is accompanied with him going into berserker rages, similar, it is noted, to an Oozaru(Great Ape Transformation). Regardless, King Vegeta, Prince Vegeta's father, declares him uncontrollable.
Paragus, Broly's father, claims that he can eventually be trained in the use of his altered form, but King Vegeta will hear none of it, causing Paragus to claim it is simply pride that is causing King Vegeta, pride in his son that he will see no other with a power to exceed his. This results in him fleeing the planet, which is also altered in that Beets, in this version, is female instead of male.
The scenes on Planet Vampa, where Broly had been exiled to, and Paragus followed, are much the same, save near the end. The first is that Broly's own transformation into a green haired state(Legendary Super Saiyan), is acknowledged as how he was able to kill some of the local wildlife, instead of the implications of him transforming into an oozaru thanks to Vampa's moon.
The other alteration is that Beets is allowed to live, Paragus pointing out that there's plenty of food, what with the animal life. Moreover, the presence of animals implies there's water somewhere, so that being stranded here will not tax their resources, even if it is not ideal. As the scene fades out, he promises Broly, and Beets, that they will survive this, and eventually avenge themselves on King Vegeta.
The scene with Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta, the Saiyan's Homeworld, remains mostly the same, save two things. We are given a short segment with the King firing into the approaching death ball as well as Bardock. Neither attack does anything to even slow the incoming doom down. And the saiyans accompanying Nappa, Vegeta, and Raditz are traded out for random aliens, likely to avoid needing to explain their fates.
The transition, showing the timeline as 'Age 737' the year Goku was released from his Maturation Chamber(A sort of pod in which infant saiyans grow for the first 3 years of their lives), and then sent off to Planet Earth. From there we are given a similar 'timeslide' into the current year, showing Goku growing, with Vegeta replaced by Krillin, as the scene fades into the current year 'Age 780' with the pair sparing in the air, as Bulma watches on a monitor.
Bulma herself is dealing with 'Interuniversal Travel Backup' as her Engine, as it turned out, was more of a Stargate like device, a large ring creating portals between the various Universes, allowing her to take in visitors, and to transport goods between them. Better, it seemed that, at some point, the Yardratian 'Instant Travel' technique, the Universe 2 variant of Instant Transmission had been picked up by the Patrol.
We are shown various goods and people sent through the portals, and then picked up by one to four Patrolbeings, which now include even more races than before. Small transports require a single member to stand above it, and make a hand sign, while larger ones, including what looks like a large building, require them to stand at four corners, and make the same hand signs, before pointing to each other.
It seems, as the pair spar above, the Patrol had grown into a force of even greater good, and she is speaking with various beings in the other universes, arranging all sorts of things, before finally saying she needed a break, and passing her headset to someone in a Capsule Corp uniform, while she goes outside, and calls down the sparing pair to go have some food.
In the meantime, Beerus and Whis are shown arriving on Planet Vampa, identified by the subtitle as such. The world, which should be a pit of monsters and decay, was now on the chopping block, one of the few worlds the Kais and the Administrator agreed could go, so Beerus was actually going to get to have some fun, as he waited for Bulla and Lapis to return from their tour of the Universes, and they, plus Krillin and Goku, could train with him again.
Whis mocks him gently for him being lonely without his friends, something Beerus vehemently denies, even as the pair descend onto the Vampan surface, the God of Destruction having to deal with a few of the local wildlife, but then saying he senses something here. On edge, he asks Whis to look around, and Whis is surprised to discover there are people on this world...Saiyan people.
That intrigues Beerus enough to go meet them, though, as he notes, living here means they're probably going to be strong, so he powers up, going into his Godly form. Except, as he transforms, a cry echoes over the horizon, and before either he or Whis can react, a towering figure of muscles appears. At four meters tall, it literally looms over the pair, a twisted grin on its face, one that turns almost feral as it surges forward, ending the scene.
We go back to find Krillin and Bulma eating at a small table, while Goku is tearing through a feast at a much larger one, the pair laughing at it, and Krillin wondering how Bulma ever afforded to feed that black hole of a stomach she calls a husband back in the day. She laughs it off, but grumbles about how even her father had been taxed some months with the saiyan's appetite.
Before more can be said, however, Beerus and Whis appear, and not gently, the angel and the God of Destruction crashing down, as Whis sighs, and looks to them, his hand shaking, before he swipes a small plate and steals a bit of Goku's food, rising the moment he'd had a few bites, and then stumbling a little, showing it wasn't just an act, as he had to fight to stand up straight.
He reveals what happened, that something on Planet Vampa, something quite strong, had beaten the very loving tar out of Beerus, and even put the angel through his paces, before he decided discretion was the better part of valor. In the travel here, he'd used what energy he had to heal Beerus a little, but the catman was going to be out of action for quite some time, and so he came to Earth to find some help.
He mentioned saiyans, and wondered, idly, if it was some offshoot, as there were more of them than he'd expected to find anywhere in the universe, let alone some backwater like Vampa. Though, the fact that the monsters still roamed much of the planet said that they were not the masters of it quite yet. Still, given something on that world could do this to Beerus, the only hope anyone had of beating it lay with Krillin and Goku...well actually he'd hoped to send Lala, as they were technically stronger, but one worked with the heroes they had.
Neither man is insulted by that fact, as Lala was stronger than them, especially since Goku hadn't mastered the White Haired state(Identified as simply Limitless Saiyan), and Krillin hadn't been able to train as much as the pair who made them up. Still, there was no telling where in the Universes they were, and if there were saiyans, it was probably best to send a full blooded one along...and Krillin because he could teleport.
They did, briefly, assemble Raditz and Nappa, the former even bringing some of his family, but given neither had a power level in the millions, they opted out of going, though Nappa commented that there was something King Vegeta had always been interested in on Vampa. He wasn't privy to what, even as the caretaker of Prince Vegeta, but he knew that if any saiyans had gone there, they'd be at least elite level.
So Goku and Krillin went in for bear, a small training montage showing them prepping for a day, with Goku getting some Patrol Armor, and Krillin even asking a favor of Whis we are only told about, as the angel vanishes, and then reappears, passing something to the small human, saying the Supreme Kai says hi as he hands it off, just before the pair vanish from the Earth, Bulma and Lazuli wishing them both luck, before going back to their jobs, leaving the kids with Uncle Whis and a recovering(Arm in a sling) Beerus.
When the pair arrive on Vampa, the place is in the middle of a wind storm, and even Goku is forced to land, to prevent himself from getting blown out of the air. Luckily, Krillin, using a scouter like device, is able to identify the spot where there are power levels that appear to be coming from intelligent life...not that he knows how the thing does that, as he admits, but it was made by Bulma, so he trusts it.
As they move closer on foot, the pair discuss what might have happened to Beerus, as Goku can sense the energy of those they're going towards, and not one feels even like they're over a million themselves. Heck, most aren't above ten-thousand if the scouter is working, though it's giving some wonky readings, as it keeps spiking at times, and dividing up, like how many saiyans could there possibly be.
As they crest a rise, they are quite shocked to find, there could be a lot of a saiyans. Almost five hundred, in fact, with female and males, as well as various skin tones, and even children, all wearing some kind of fur coats, and living in, what appear to be, hollowed out space craft, all looking nearly destroyed, but not quite. Some even look to be reinforced with some kind of local fauna shells, to protect them from something.
There are, in fact, so many people that, if they'd been more stealthy, the pair might have approached without even arousing suspicion, but given they were literally standing on the side of the valley staring into it, the whole group soon knew they were there, and instantly started to say things, mostly about how Frieza had finally found them, and panic gripping them as they rushed about.
A few stronger looking specimens, led by an older man identified in dialogue as Paragus, all gather together, looking to defend the village. They fired a whole salvo of blasts at the pair, but Krillin neutralizes them, snuffing each blast out without effort, leaving the defenders shaking in terror, as they stare at the pair, and then fall to their knees, begging them not to harm the non-combatants behind them.
Krillin eventually gets them to realize that neither he, nor Goku, are here to hurt anyone...well maybe whoever beat up Beerus, but even then, if they had a good reason, they'd be willing to listen first. This shocks Paragus, who was unsure of what to make of this. Frieza was assisting the God of Destruction? He would do so, obviously, but only if forced, but to send someone to assist him when he was injured was not like Lord Frieza.
Krillin has to point out that Frieza had been dead for a while now, and he and Goku don't serve him. Goku serves...his wife would probably be that one, though he'd not say no to helping out his friends, amongst them being Lord Beerus and Whis. Krillin meanwhile serves the Administrator, a being that serves all peoples of this Universe and beyond, or so he claimed, and to be fair, he was as good as his word, running the Patrol.
That...caught everyone off guard, as they digested that not only was Frieza gone, but that these people before them worked for the Galactic Patrol. Krillin speaks up, pointing out the Patrol does more than just the galaxy, having branches in other universes entirely now, if small ones, so for the moment, their name is just the Patrol. Still, yeah, they technically won the cold war against the Frieza Force. Heck, Cooler even joined their side.
This forces Paragus to invite the pair in, just because he and the others are too stunned by the news to do elsewise, bringing them into the village, population five-hundred-six at last count, all saiyans. This leads them discovering that Planet Vegeta was destroyed, along with its ruler and most of their race, the latter fact being more important to them, and some others spitting at the name of their former king.
As it came out, these people were saiyans sent after Paragus at times. A patrol diverted here, a whole squad there. Heck, just before the planet was destroyed, he'd apparently used the confusion of the recall order to send a whole battalion, almost three-hundred soldiers, here, just to finally make sure that the issue was dealt with, having never actually decided to investigate WHY no one came back from Vampa.
Apparently something in the systems screwed with nav-computers. Even if your ship seemed fine, using it in system screwed the drive up, and getting to the edge of the field on sublight would take over a decade, and none of the ships that had come in were designed for more than a few weeks at best. So everyone here had become stuck on the planet, as they assumed the pair were too.
Krillin, seeing the despair at that, pointed out they didn't come here in a ship, he had a technique that could move them between worlds, and not just him and Goku, but everyone here. He could get them off this crummy rock, and back to civilization. That statement took a few minutes to echo through the crowd, before half of them fell to kowtowing, and the others started crying.
Of course, Krillin had to remind them, he was not ignorant of saiyans and their ways. Goku here was one, after all, and he knew some others back on Earth. Raditz was an unknown to them, but several knew of Nappa, who it turned out they knew as Chancelor Nappa, one of King Vegeta's personal advisors, and the guardian of his son, Prince Vegeta, whom Krillin reveals he killed.
That seems to ripple through the crowd too, asking if that means the whole of the royal line was dead, and when that's confirmed, there was, as it turned out, a lot of rejoicing. Turns out, stranding ship after ship of people on a garbage rock does not make the most loyal soldiers, though this does lead into Krillin asking just how they came to form a society here, given Paragus wasn't quite the strongest here, and yet he seemed to be in charge.
That, as it happened, was because of his first son, Broly, who was a soft spoken man, and a reader and artist, according to the people, but one with an incredible power buried in his soul. It took Krillin only a few minutes speaking with him to reveal he was the Legendary Super Saiyan, and even explain how his powers worked, something everyone here knew, of course, as they'd been on the receiving end of it, but they were curious how Krillin knew it.
Goku reveals he'd fought another such saiyan, a woman named Kale from Universe 6. Mind, what he sensed in Broly...it was like comparing a candle to a star. Broly was just massive inside himself, and Paragus nodded, pointing out that every minute he spent in that form doubled his strength, at least while in that form, and over the years he'd spent a lot of minutes in that form.
Luckily, while powerful, Legendary Super Saiyans were fueled by Divine Ki. It could kill, to be fair, but it couldn't blow up planets without some help. As to the saiyans here being evil...he'll admit, they were planet pirates, raiders, and conquerors, but being stuck here for forty or more years had them feeling less like warriors, and more like castaways. If Krillin would take them somewhere else, he'd be sure to keep everyone in line.
This eventually got them to start bringing everyone together, as Krillin only wanted to make one trip, just in case this place did screw up something about his technique. Unluckily, that would take a day or so, as there were some outlying settlements of saiyans, a total population with the children of almost a thousand, enough, Krillin noted, to be able to revive the species somewhere in this universe.
That night, Krillin used Magic Materialization to make a feast the likes of which the locals had never seen in all their years here, some of the kids sampling sweets and other kinds of food for the first time in their lives, as the human kept the food and drink coming, creating a festival vibe to the whole affair, with only one really dark spot on it being Broly himself, who seemed uncomfortable when spoken too.
It was, as the sun dawned in the dark sky, that that pin was pulled, as Broly and the other saiyans gathered together on a platform to be taken away from here, some of the children, and several older ones who had never lived anywhere else chattering nervously. At one point, Broly seemed about to join them, but then something caught his breath in his throat, and he had a very disturbingly realistic panic attack, before suddenly crying out.
Goku, realizing what's happening, orders Krillin to take everyone out of here and to Earth, he'll deal with Broly, who is already in the process of transforming into the larger, muscular form of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Krillin protests leaving Goku, but he insists, and after a second, Krillin does just that, as several other saiyans hold Paragus on the platform, the group vanishing, leaving only Goku and Broly on the planet.
What follows is a beat down like the one against Kale, but moreso. Broly doesn't just no sell Goku's attacks, but seems to simply wiff them the moment they get near him, his aura alone literally enough to blow them away from him. He barely even fights Goku, having had little real training, instead simply smacking him around, but his power and speed making even that difficult to contend with.
Just before he can deal the finishing blow, Broly is stopped by the arrival of Krillin, and more importantly, Paragus, who tries to talk his son down, admitting he understands it's hard for the man to leave this world, the world that was his for so long. But there is a galaxy, a universe, all of it, out there, waiting for him, and while Broly had always stood apart from them, now, he could be somewhere safe and comfortable, even if it was alone.
Broly, confused, screams, and we get a small montage of scenes from the background of the movie, where the saiyans had always backed away from him, been afraid of him, left him alone. We even, for the first time, see that his 'home' is a small hut, almost half a kilometer from the village proper, and away from any of the other settlements, not saying directly, but merely showing that it is going back amongst 'people' that is his problem.
Paragus then is blown away by Broly powering up again, the older saiyan slamming hard into a wall, and forcing Krillin to grab him, and take him away. Luckily, this time he comes back a moment later, and takes Goku's hand, the pair vanishing, leaving Broly behind for the moment, reappearing in a cave on the other side of the planet, feeling the whole area shake as Broly continues to rage.
Goku is hurt, but not so much that Krillin can't patch him up at least a bit, however, he notes that no one can beat Broly, and it might be best to just leave this place behind. Paragus, who was in the same cave, says he can't, and if need be, he and Broly will stay here, in exile, as he now sees that King Vegeta, motivated by jealousy as he was, had a point. Broly is not a warrior, he is a berserker, and as such, cannot be controlled.
Krillin wags his finger, however, and pulls out the item he'd gotten from Whis earlier, a gift from the Kais, Patara Earrings, to allow him and Goku to fuse together, if only for an hour. That should be enough time for the combined being to work Broly down. After all, he's not angry, he's scared under all that, and he shouldn't be forced to live on a rock like this just because of fear.
The pair fuse, becoming Gollin, a slightly taller Krillin with Goku's hair, according to the D-class, who then takes Paragus and once again goes up against Broly in an absolutely gorgeous fight scene, where he, instead of trying to 'fight' Broly, uses a variety of techniques to slowly wear him down, as even the Legendary Super Saiyan form was one that put some strain on the body.
Each blow, each blast, was certainly stronger, but over the course of a few minutes, the fusion was able to drain him, and finally, Broly, tears streaming from his eyes, comes down from it, allowing Gollin to transport him and his father to another world, one that had no intelligent life on it, but was much better than the hell hole that was Vampa, at least according to him, with sunny beaches, pleasant gravity, and no moon to risk an Oozaru transformation.
Paragus thanks them for this, and asks if he can be allowed to stay here. He remembers his promise to keep the Saiyans in line...but it's his son, and besides, given what he'd seen in the brief time there, there was little chance of the saiyans rising to the level of 'nuisance' let alone 'threat' to the current Patrol. At best they'd need to be smacked back into line a time or two if they stepped out of it.
Gollin, well, the Krillin inside him, agrees, and offers to teach him the Instant Travel technique, and Paragus agrees, but for now, just allow him to make a home for himself and his son, something the fusion takes care of, creating a rather palatial home, before vanishing, leaving him to settle himself and his son in their new residence, as Broly wakes up, and smiles at his father.
The epilogue shows the saiyans being set up on a similar world to that one, with the people happy, and even sparring with the Patrolbeing, Jeice in this case, assigned to their world. Bulma mentions she's nervous about this, but trusts the judgement of her hus...of Krillin she trusts Krillin's judgement, something that bothers Goku, until he gets a kiss, as Whis and Beerus, the latter with his arm in a sling, comment on the display, the angel finding it cute, the God finding it nauseating.
They then add that Vampa's been erased already, not willing to risk it, he blew the thing up from orbit, but admit, that this adventure took a lot out of him, so he's going to go take a nap...not like, for decades, but a few weeks at least to recover, and as he and the angel, along with several tables of sweets, vanish, they do wonder how Lapis and Bulla are doing out there in the universes, while everyone else was having fun here.
A stinger after the credits shows the pair floating in space, having been traveling by ship, which had broken down, and as they repair it, Lapis insisting he can do it, as he's a tech kind of guy, we close out on Bulla revealing she's pregnant to him, which causes the Enhanced Human to miss a tap, blowing smoke into his face, and leaving us on a comedy note for all that revelation changes things.
After exposure to the most recent chapters of the Super Manga proved ineffective for providing new data, it was proposed that the D-Class be Terminated, and that should we require further data down the line, we can expose another D-Class to the same Circumstances.
Termination Denied, Reason: Pataphysical Model DMRG is in effect in this case, and as such, it is the opinion of the Pataphysics Dept. Head that as few individuals as possible should be exposed to an anomaly of this nature.
Termination Reinstated, Authorization 05-6: We aren't doing these experiments to give you fanfiction. Go online if you want that.
Termination Override, Denial, Ethics Committee, Class T: This body is in agreement with the Head of Pataphysics, and as such, this individual is to be housed in a type-3 Humanoid Containment sell as POI-DB-ALT until such time as Dragon Ball as a Franchise has stopped producing visual media. This decision can only be overridden by a unanimous vote of the 05 Council.
O5 Council Vote: 5 to Termination, 3 to No Termination, 4 Abstained, and 1 request for episode transcripts to be added to the file, and reproduced if possible using current animation techniques...request pending.
