1978. Luke is 22, Daisy 21, and Bo 20. I don't own the Dukes of Hazzard! If u like this chapter don't thank me, thank Long Live Brucas 4 da awsum idea.

Bo was driving into town in the General Lee, when he saw Lulu Hogg pulled off to the side of the road, waving frantically.

"Howdy, miss Lulu. Ya need any help?" Bo climbed out of the General Lee.

"Yes, please, Bo, I've got a flat tire, and I can't afford to be late for another lady's club meeting." Lulu urged.

"Sure thing. I'll have it changed in a jiffy. Me an' Luke can do it in 53 seconds, but with jus' me, I reckon it'll take double that." Bo opened her trunk and started work.

Sure enough, 106 seconds later, the new tire was in place.

"There ya are." Bo wiped his hands on his jeans.

"Thank ya, honey." Lulu got back into her car and headed for the lady's club meeting.

Bo got back into the General and headed into town.

Once he got the brown sugar that Jesse'd sent him out for, he started to head back to the farm. On the drive there, he had to pull over: his lungs weren't cooperating.

"Dang it!" Bo panted furiously as he searched the General Lee for an inhaler. I put one in my shirt pocket this morning! Bo huffed to himself. Then it dawned on him: the CB.

"Hey, this is lost sheep #2 callin' any of y'all other Dukes, come back." Bo panted.

No response.

"Come on, y'all I need help, I don't got no inhaler with me and I need one!" Bo persisted.

What he didn't realize was that he'd bumped into the CB controls during his frantic search, and he'd turned off the CB.

"Dang it!" Bo slammed the CB down and leaned back on the seat. He figured he'd drive as far as he could, until he felt like he was gonna pass out, then he'd stop and see what to do from there. He started off towards town, since it was farther to get back home than it was to get back to into town.

He was almost into town, when his vision started to get blurry so, he pulled off. He tried the CB one more time, with no luck, seeing as how it was turned off.

He stumbled out of the car and sat on the hood, leaning against the windshield, hoping that someone passing by (who wasn't the father of any girl he'd gone to high school with) would see him and stop.

About that time, Lulu was finished at the lady's club meeting and was headed out to her sick friends house, so she could read the minutes of the meeting to her. She pulled off when she saw Bo, half conscious laying on top of the General Lee. It was lucky for Bo that had Cooter only had bright orange paint when they'd painted the General Lee, or she might not've seen him.

"Bo?" Lulu got out of her car and rushed to the General Lee.

"Miss Lulu?" Bo tried to sit up.

"What's wrong, are you alright?" She asked.

"No. I need an inhaler, run to the farm an' get one, or see if Cooter has one..." Bo wheezed. "Wait! Look in the trunk of your car." Bo wheezed, thinking maybe it'd fallen out of his pocket when he was changing her tire.

Lulu didn't understand, but she did it anyway, and was surprised to see an inhaler in the trunk of her car.

"Here you are." She handed it to Bo.

"See if ya can't raise Luke on the CB..." Bo coughed as he struggled with the inhaler.

Lulu ran back to her car and picked up the CB.

"Luke Duke, you out there? This is Lulu Hogg, and it's an emergency, come back."

"Ya got Luke Duke here, miss Lulu, what seems to be the trouble?"

"Bo's in awful trouble. We're out on a deer trail about a mile east from Artie Bender's place."

"Is he hurt, is he bleeding?" Luke demanded.

"No, it's his asthma, just hurry and get here!" Lulu urged. Then she ran back over to Bo.

"You alright, honey?" Lulu placed a gentle hand on Bo's shoulder. He'd laid down on the hood and given up all hope of ever breathing again until Luke came to save him.

"Get Luke." Bo rasped.

"I called him, he's on his way." Lulu assured him.

"See if ya can't get my inhaler off the ground..." Bo wheezed.

Lulu picked up the inhaler and put it in Bo's mouth.

"What do I do now?" She asked.

"Button. Push it." Bo gasped.

Lulu did so, and Bo got some of the medicine.

"How're you doing?" Lulu asked him.

"I think I'll be okay..." Bo wheezed, sitting up again. He slid off the hood and sat on the ground, leaning against the General Lee.

"Stay awake!" Lulu shook his shoulder when he shut his eyes.

"Luke?" Bo wheezed.

"He'll be here soon, honey. Try to breathe, huh?" Lulu was getting frantic: she'd seen people help Bo with this before, but never had she done it herself, or thought she'd ever need to.

She thought for a while: what would one of the other Dukes do to help him? Then it dawned on her: they always ran their fingers through Bo's hair. She didn't know if it would be awkward for him, or if it would calm him down, but she was all out of ideas.

Lulu gingerly ran her fingers through Bo's hair a few times, and to her surprise, his breathing slowed down and the wheezing eased off a little. He took the inhaler a few times and took some deep breaths. Before they knew it, Bo was breathing normally again.

Bo didn't even notice that Lulu'd run her fingers through his hair, he'd just felt calmed and was able to relax and take the necessary actions to control his breathing once again.

"You okay, now?" Lulu asked him.

"Yeah, thanks." Bo stood up.

"I'l wait with you until Luke comes." Lulu offered.

"Thanks, miss Lulu." Bo smiled.

Soon after, Luke pulled up and jumped out of Jesse's truck. He ran over to the General Lee, not knowing what condition he was gonna find his cousin in, but he was prepared for them all.

"Bo, you're alright?" Luke saw that Bo was standing up and breathing relatively normally.

"Yeah, miss Lulu helped me out." Bo waved as Lulu headed back to her own car.

"Bye, boys!" She waved, and the boys waved back.

"What happened to you?" Luke came over to him.

"Jus' another dang attack. I'm okay now." Bo assured him.

"Why didn't you have an inhaler this time?" Luke questioned.

"I had one, but I dropped it in her car while I was changing her tire earlier." Bo explained.

"Alright, I reckon I'll let it go this time." Luke patted his shoulder. "You okay to drive home yourself?"

"Yeah, I'm fine now." Bo climbed back into the General, and they both headed back to the farm.

Jesse wasn't too mad about the sugar being late once he found out what had happened.
