Alright so, I got some sleep these past two nights, and I'm all set to write again. Thank ya to Long Live BRUCAS for the idea of Bo having an attack while he and Luke are in jail. The year is 1980. Luke is 24, Daisy 23, and Bo 22. I don't own the dukes of hazzard.

Bo and Luke was tearin' up the roads in who else, but General Lee. And as usual Rosco was right on their tail. They'd crossed a 'double yellow line' that Rosco had painted there earlier that day.

"I think the General's runnin' a little rich." Bo stated.

"Bo, don't start that again, if anything he's runnin' lean." Luke rolled his eyes.

"Let's take him by Cooter's after we lose Rosco." Bo suggested.

"If you ever get around to it." Luke looked in the mirror at Rosco.

"Alright, I'm goin' I'm goin'!" Bo replied, but just then, a tire blew out.

"Dang it!" Luke slammed his fist on the dashboard.

Bo pulled off to the side and they both got out of the car.

"Alright, you Dukes! I got ya this time, git git!" Rosco pulled his gun out and walked over.

"Rosco, there ain't no double yellow lines on a dirt road!" Bo complained.

"Well there are on this one! As of just this morning, I painted 'em myself!" Rosco giggled. "You crossed over it, and that's a naughty naughty! I'm gonna cuff ya and stuff ya, git git! Oh, I love it, I love it!" Rosco tossed a pair of cuffs to Luke.

"Rosco, come on..." Luke complained.

"Put them cuffs on!" Rosco snapped. Luke cuffed himself to Bo and Rosco led them into the patrol car.

"What about the General?" Bo asked.

"I'll get Cooter to come out here and get it later." Rosco giggled.

When they arrived at the jail, Rosco put Luke upstairs and Bo downstairs.

"Now you can't make any escape plans!" Rosco giggled. "Enos, I'm gonna go to the Boar's Nest to talk to Boss Hogg. You watch these Dukes." Rosco left.

After Rosco was gone, Luke began to work on Enos.

"You know it pains me to see that." Luke started.

"See what, Luke?" Enos walked over to the cell.

"Rosco ain't even givin' people their one phone call no more." Luke continued.

"You didn't get a phone call?" Enos asked.

"No, I didn't, and I'd like one." Luke stated.

"I can't let you out of the cell, but when the sheriff comes back, I'm sure he'll see to it." Enos smiled.

"Rosco?" Bo called from downstairs.

"Go see what he wants, Enos." Luke pointed.

Enos ran downstairs. "What is it, Bo?"

"Go ask Luke if he has an inhaler." Bo panted.

"You alright?" Enos asked.

"Yeah, Enos, if Luke has an inhaler I will be." Bo coughed.

Enos ran back upstairs.

"Luke, you got an inhaler on you?" Enos asked.

"No, why? don't tell me..."

"Yeah." Enos ran to the bin where Rosco put evidence and pocket items. "Here's one." Enos grabbed it.

"Let me go help him, huh?" Luke pleaded.

"Yeah, good idea." Enos handed the inhaler to Luke, unlocked the cell and followed Luke downstairs to unlock the other one.

By the time they got there, Bo was laying on his back on the floor, hardly making much sound.

"Hey, you okay?" Luke leaned him up against the bench.

"No..." Bo managed.

"It's alright, I'm here now." Luke put the inhaler in his mouth.

"Ca-"

"Yes, ya can, just one is all it takes." Luke instructed. After many efforts, Bo managed a very shallow breath. Luke released the medicine in sync.

"There you go." Luke sat him up a little straighter. Luke continued to administer the medicine as Bo drew in air, each time not as shallow as the last time.

"Get on here." Luke helped him to sit on the bench. Bo was nauseous, shaking and coughing, having a hard time fighting the side effects of the inhaler.

"Rosco see the whole thing?" Bo was embarrassed.

"No, he ain't here, Enos is." Luke assured him.

"Okay." Bo shut his eyes and leaned his head on Luke's shoulder. "Oh, God..." Bo braced himself against Luke and coughed hard for several minutes, wheezing at the recovery of each one. Luke looked up at Enos.

"Can't ya please let me take him home?" Luke asked.

"I don't know, Luke..." Enos started.

"Enos, look at him, he can't hardly breathe." Luke reasoned.

"I reckon so." Enos sighed, he felt bad that he always had to arrest them for no reason. He loved being a deputy, but he hated framing people.

"Thanks, Enos, thanks a lot." Luke picked Bo up over his shoulders and carried him upstairs.

"I don't wanna be sick on you." Bo said as Luke trotted over to Cooter's with Bo on his shoulders.

"We're almost there." Luke assured him.

Luke kicked the door hard and Cooter opened it.

"Is he bleeding?" Cooter asked.

"No, it's is asthma. Get a wash basin or something else he can be sick in." Luke laid Bo down.

Cooter brought back a large bucket and put it next to Bo, and Luke hauled him on to his knees. "Here ya go."

Cooter looked away from the unsightly happenings.

"You sure he's alright?" Cooter asked after the vomiting continued for ten minutes.

"He's jus' had a too much inhaler. He'll be alright." Luke rubbed Bo's back.

Bo finally stopped and coughed for a while, then he collapsed.

"I gotcha." Luke grabbed him and took the rag that Cooter handed him to wipe Bo's mouth with.

"S-sorry." Bo stuttered.

Luke pulled Bo's shaking frame away from the bucket and pushed it away with his feet.

"Are you hurtin'?" Luke asked him.

"Headache..." Bo coughed.

"Anythin' I can do to help y'all?" Cooter asked.

"Not at the moment." Luke kept his eyes on Bo, who looked sicker 'an a dog.

Luke sat with Bo's head in his lap for a few minutes.

"You okay in there?" Luke asked when he realized that Bo hadn't moved or said anything in a while.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Bo mumbled, he had fallen asleep, and was still half asleep.

"Will you be alright to stand up?" Luke asked him.

"Yeah, I'm okay, Luke." Bo mumbled.

"Let's just see then." Luke hauled Bo to his feet, which woke him up all the way. "You steady?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Bo gained his composure. "Sorry about all that."

"You know it ain't your fault." Luke replied.

"Where's the General?" Cooter asked.

"Out on Cottonwood road with a flat." Luke remembered.

"I'll drive y'all up there and we can change it." Cooter offered.

"Great, thanks." Bo and Luke got in Cooter's truck.

After they changed the tire, Bo started up the General.

"Luke thinks he's runnin' lean an' I think he's runnin' rich. Which is it?" Bo opened the hood.

Cooter investigated. "Neither." He laughed.

"See, I told you, Bo!" Luke laughed.

"What do you mean, none of us was right!"

"'Cept Cooter." Luke chuckled.

The whole drive home, Bo was coughing into his elbow.

"You alright over there?" Luke looked over at the Bo.

"Yeah." Bo sighed.

"I know you'd hate to have to have more, but..." Luke started.

"No, I'm okay." Bo replied.

"You're coughing a lot." Luke pressed.

"I really don't want to." Bo protested.

"Come on, Bo just a little." Luke persisted.

"I'll remind you tonight when you're wet nursing me that it was your idea to take more of this stuff." Bo chuckled and took an inhaler out of the glove compartment.

That night, Luke woke up to his name being called. He turned on the lights and saw that Bo was kneeling on the floor.

"Are you alright?" Luke got out of bed.

"Was tryna make it to the bathroom, couldn't do it." Bo explained. And Luke could tell from the tone of his voice that he was nauseated.

"You gonna be sick?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry. Come on." Luke helped him to his feet and into the bathroom. He held him over the tub in the usual position.

After a while all that was left were dry heaves.

"Relax and they'll stop." Luke directed.

Bo managed to get everything under control.

"You in pain?" Luke asked him.

"Jus' a headache."

"I'm gonna take you back to bed 'fore you pass out." Luke picked him up.

"Yeah, good idea." Bo shut his eyes and prayed that he'd fall asleep while Luke was holding him.

Luke set him down on the bed and knelt next to it.

"Dizzy..." Bo almost rolled off the bed.

"I know. If you fall asleep you'll be all better in the morning." Luke pulled the blankets over him.

"Okay," Bo agreed. "But it was your idea to take more." He smiled slightly.

"It was wasn't it?" Luke wrapped his arm around Bo's shoulders. "But I'm glad, 'cause I'd rather have to 'wet nurse' you than to not have you at all."

"Thanks." Bo mumbled.

"Good night, Bo." Luke headed back to bed.

SO THAT BE THE END OF THIS CHAPTER.
