Clashing their blades against the Water Realm soldiers that moved against them, Kenji, Victor and their bodyguards moved swiftly and with precision, the pair cutting down their aquatic foes with ease.
"You're not getting tired on me now, are you?" Victor asked from over his shoulder with a grin, his words earning a smirk from Kenji in the process.
"Far from it." The heir of the Shogun said in reply, panting a little as he looked to see more enemies approaching and proceeded to say. "I admit though, this is far more... exhilarating than the stories our parents told us."
Keeping his grin, Victor replied with a continued confidence in his tone. "Then let's make sure we get through this so we can tell stories of our own."
Nodding in reply, the warriors of Asahi and Ignisia rushed forward, striking at their foes before they had a chance to even attack, each with a determination in their hearts and souls to protect their homes.
In the skies above the two heirs, meanwhile, Julie and Phirox continued to battle the savant and her Cyber Dragon, where the serpent-like beast quickly moved and began to wrap itself around the phoenix, who let out a shriek of pain as she felt the electricity course through her body as her foe tightened its grip.
To keep her foe from protecting her partner, meanwhile, the savant then put her blade away and changed both her hands into energy cannons, where she unleashed a powerful blast of plasma energy upon Julie, who was forced to create a fiery shield around her body in order to protect herself.
"Your resistance is futile, human. Allow yourself to fall and pave the way for a better future." The savant told Julie as she increased her firepower, her voice mechanical and devoid of emotions as she sought to end her foe here and now.
Clenching her teeth and closing her eyes as she fought back against the energy being thrown at her, Julie's mind briefly showed the image of the face that always brought her confidence, the face of Davis Motomiya, where the silver haired champion reopened her eyes with a fierce and fiery determination.
"Someone I hold dear to me has finally begun a new chapter in his life... He has finally found his heart after so many years, and I will not die until I see how this all ends for him!" Julie declared with a fiery determination as she clenched her staff, this causing not only more energy to course through her as fire engulfed her being, but more power to flow through Phirox, whose entire body began to burn with an intense heat.
Feeling the heat overpowering its electricity, the Cyber Dragon began to shriek in agony and pain as its body caught on fire, before crying out in the blades on Phirox's wings ignited in flames and pierced the Dragon's skin.
It was then and with a great might that Phirox spread her wings outward, letting out a loud and might shriek as she ripped through the Cyber Dragon and tore it to pieces, the body of the Cyber Dragon dissolving into ashes from the heat and throwing the savant off balance as she tried to regain her footing.
Despite feeling the loss of her partner, the savant recomposed herself and floated in the air with her power, looking around for the champion she was in battle with, before her internal sensors picked up a large amount of energy rapidly approaching her.
Looking upward, the savant saw Julie coming down towards her, the fire champion engulfed in flames with two wings of pure fire coming out of her back as her staff turned into a blazing spear, ready to strike down her foe once and for all.
Acting in response as warning signs flashed upon her visor, the savant brought both her hand cannons together and opened fire in the attempt to finish the fire champion off before she could attack.
However, much to the surprise and disbelief of the water savant, the intense heat of the fire around Julie seemed to push through her energy blast, where the silver haired champion quickly closed the gap between her and her foe, swinging her fiery spear and slicing the savant in half, who let out a cry of agony as her body burned away from the intense fire consuming her.
With her foe defeated, Julie allowed the flames around her to subside and fade, where she then landed on Phirox's shoulder as the Phoenix turned and flew back down toward the battlefield, allowing the silver haired champion a moment to catch her breath.
Though the attack and burst of power she used was quite taxing on her, Julie knew she couldn't relax for long.
There was a battle to win, and the silver haired champion would not rest until victory was theirs.
Within the Fire Palace, those watching the battle let out cheers upon seeing Julie and Phirox finish their battle and defeat the savant and the Cyber Dragon, but eventually settled down as they knew the rest of the battle was far from over.

Sitting within his chair upon the command deck of his mobile fortress, Lelouch kept a calm and calculated look upon his face as he surveyed the battlefield below.
After the dispatching the cybernetic ninjas and Julie and Phirox's victory over their opponents, the other fire champions had moved on and destroyed the last of the Earth Devourers, forcing the remaining forces loyal to Krytus to fall back to the water and take fortification, using energy shields to hunker down and stand their ground from the forces railing against them.
Narrowing his eyes, the Fire Lord knew that Krytus would have to realize his forces could not prevail as they were, where the raven haired boy then realized that the Warlord must be expecting reinforcements, which would not truly affect the outcome, as Lelouch had forces waiting on standby for such an occurrence.
Knowing that, with his intelligence, Krytus would also know this and that a prolonged battle would only weaken his arriving forces, Lelouch concluded that, in his arrogance and sense of superiority, the Warlord's main plan was the assassination of the Emperor's Champion, Davis Motomiya.
And while indeed, such a death would all but destroy the morale of not just the forces currently fighting, but of all within the Fire Realm, Lelouch himself had enough confidence within Davis and his abilities to know that the champion would not fall so easily.
"Arrogant fool." Lelouch commented with a small growl as he looked towards the Cyber Fortress, and to see Blaze and Cybris still clashing against one another from within the air around the floating base.
Refocusing on the battle below, Lelouch knew that he would need to give the command for his forces to push forward and try to breach the energy barriers protecting the Water Realm forces soon.
Though such a move would be costly, it was necessary to drive off the current Water Realm forces still attacking and allow time to prepare for the second wave.
But before he could give the attack order, a familiar and slightly annoying voice then called out through the comms. "Hey, Little Cameron, can you hear me?"
Growling slightly to the annoyance that was fire champion Caleb, Lelouch activated the comms and spoke, expressing his frustration as he said. "You are late, Caleb!"
"Yeah, yeah, I am coming in hot, just keep our forces back, will you?" Caleb then questioned in reply, this causing the Fire Lord to raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"We are on the verge of driving the enemy back and you want me to...?" Lelouch began to ask back and in annoyance as he failed to see what the fire champion was trying to do or had in mind.
"Trust me, you don't want our guys to get caught up in what's about to happen!" Caleb interrupted, his words confusing Lelouch even more, before the Fire Lord's eyes widened as he heard many familiar sounds in the background.

As the room around them was scared from their battle, Davis and Krytus continued to clash blades with one another, dodging and parrying strikes as they tried to take their opponent down, before both pushed back and landed on opposite sides of the core room.
Circling one another, Krytus then brought up the screen of the battle, slightly disappointed to see the savant that had joined his forces defeated and the Earth Devourers all destroyed, but nonetheless pleased to see his forces standing their ground.
"Your feeble, dimwitted allies struggle against the inevitable." Krytus remarked as he and Davis continued to circle one another, the Warlord remaining strong as he then said with a further arrogance within his voice. "Even if you somehow win this battle, it only takes the slow decay of time before your crude and primitive ways bring about your ruination."
"And this is the reason I am glad not everyone in the Water Realm is like you, otherwise you would have all died out from stupidity long ago." Davis told Kyrtus in reply, his smirk growing as he saw the Warlord clench his weapon in a subtle rage.
His internal interface activating, however, the Warlord mentally grinned as he summoned another screen behind him, where Davis looked to see Caleb upon a hoverbike as he moved down the coastline and headed straight for the side of the Water Realm's forces.
"And here is a prime example of the foil of the Fire Realm." Krytus then went on as he added with a growing sense of pride and superiority. "This fool thinks he can take on my forces all on his own."
Sensing as several hover tanks within the shields below turned their cannons towards Caleb, ready to strike him down with a single volley, Krytus continued to stare at Davis with a deviousness in his tone as he then commented. "His incompetence is so great, he isn't even turning around when facing his own doom."
Seeing Davis' eyes then widen, Krytus mentally grinned, believing he had made the Champion concerned for his ally's wellbeing and was about to use that to his advantage, to strike the maroon haired hero while he was distracted.
However...
"Um... he's not the one you should be worried about." Davis merely said with a small chuckle as he continued to look upon the screen, the action confusing Krytus, before the Warlord had hundreds of warning signs appear within the visuals of his UI.
Turning to face the screen himself, Krytus' eye widened to see that coming around one of the rock faces and seemingly following the fire champion before him was a vast horde of Orkkron, which included five gargantuans as the massive army charged forward.
From the Palace, those watching the battle looked on with shock and surprise to see the vast number of Orkkron, with even Kormac showing surprise upon his robotic face.
On the bridge of the mobile fortress, Lelouch actually got to his feet and watched the scene with the rest of the bridge crew in shock, a feeling expressed by Victor, Kenji and the majority of the Fire Legions as they backed away from the Water Realm forces.
Meanwhile, Julie and Phirox found themselves lightly chuckling as the silver haired champion curiously asked through her comms. "Caleb, what have you done?"
"Just brought a little chaos to mess with the Water Realm's order." The raven haired champion quickly said back and with a cheeky tone, which only caused Julie to shake her head in amusement.
Breaking from their clash for a moment, Blaze and Cybris looked down, where the Fire Dragon chuckled lightly to see the green skinned menace now being used for the Fire Realm's benefits, while the Cyber Dragon growled in annoyance.
Shaking his own head, Davis activated his comms and then told his friend and teammate. "Caleb, I don't know how you got the Orkkron to follow you, but this is brilliant."
"They aren't following me, they're chasing me." Caleb said in reply, his words causing Davis to deadpan as his fellow champion went on to say. "I pissed off the current Warlord and led them here, and you know how these green idiots act in a fight."
Blinking his eyes a few times, Davis then questioned with a slight annoyance in his tone. "Do you have a death wish or something?"
"Possibly, but I am not dying until I see how this all works out for you and your girl." Caleb replied with a laugh as he increased his hover bike's speed and closed himself in upon the Water Realm lines.
In response to the new and unexpected foes, the commands and mental link amongst the Water troops was chaotic as the commanders tried to react to the situation, until one hover tank accidently opened fire, the blast shooting past Caleb and striking through a line of Orkkron in the process.
Having originally wanting nothing more then to squash the small human who made fun of him, upon seeing the Water Realm forces and seeing them shoot at his warriors, the Orkkron Warlord expressed a great bellow as his horde then turned their focus towards their new foes, the leader of the green skinned brutes wanting to test his might against those their normal foes within the Fire Realm considered a bigger threat then his own kin.
Turning their fire upon the oncoming green skins, the Water Realm forces didn't even notice as Caleb's bike was consumed in flames as he reached the shield, punching through the barrier with ease, before the bike vanished and Ferox appeared in its place, the Fire Dragon bellowing with might as he flew into the air with Caleb on his shoulder.
With Ferox then charging his arm cannons and Caleb withdrawing his fiery rifle, the champion and his partner then obliterated the shield generators, causing the barrier protecting the Water Realm Forces to disappear, just as the Orkkron horde slammed into their lines, taking their new foes off balance as they continued to run through their enemies like a green tidal wave.
Watching as his forces were being overrun by their new foes, Krytus remained beyond shocked.
He hadn't anticipated any of this in his calculations and found himself unable to comprehend as to why this was happening, as it went against everything he had calculated so perfectly.
Growling lightly, the Warlord allowed himself a moment to compose himself, knowing that even with the sudden appearance of the Orkkron, his reinforcements would...
It was at that moment that another message appeared within Krytus' peripheral vision, this one causing him to all but pale as he brought up another holographic screen, the Warlord unable to comprehend what he was seeing as the reinforcement armada that his allies sent began to turn around and return to the Water Realm's domain.
Searching through the Network to find the reasoning for his allies' betrayal, Krytus saw that the armada was being diverted on order of the Arch-Savant to defend their territory from several assaults from the Nature Realm and a series of Fire Realm Warlords trying to take advantage of the sneak attack upon their own turf.
Continuing to look over the messages, Krytus then felt his circuity freeze when he saw another message, this one sent to the Council of Fire Lords, one denouncing the Warlord and his invasion, a message that would only be sent in the event of his failure.
Visibly shaking now, Krytus found himself losing control over his emotions, particularly his rage to his plans being ruined, to him being denounced and declared a failure before his plans could even come to fruition and to being blindsided by his arch-rival so easily.
It was then, as though adding salt to the wound that was upon his ego, Krytus felt his connection to the Network then sever, causing the Warlord to lose access to the vast knowledge of the Water Realm and to lose any and all access to coordinate his forces, whom had begun their retreat into the waters as the Fire Legions began firing upon them and the Orkkron.
Smirking and expressing a light chuckle, Davis got Krytus' attention as the Fire Champion then questioned. "Did you really think things would be different this time? Did you really think the Cyber Kings would allow you to embarrass them in front of new arrivals to Nexus, ones who can pass through the Veil and let them think of them as aggressors? Did you really think that our allies would just sit back while you launch your 'crusade'?
"You have lost, Krytus, surrender and I'll have you sent back home after a fair trial." The marron haired champion then offered.
Keeping his guard up, Davis knew instantly that he hit a nerve as he felt the power within the Warlord flare in rage, where Krytus let out a rage filled cry as his body was engulfed in Water mana, a blue energy that grew as a series of cables formed from his back, lashing and thrashing around in the process.
Likewise and at the same time, the blade in the Warlord's right hand turned into energy and covered his arm, transforming into a massive drill which had blue electricity coursing along it.
Turning to Davis, Krytus screamed in rage. "I will never surrender to a barbarian like you!"
Rushing forward, Krytus brought his arm up as the drill activated and a massive amount of plasma energy began to form around the tip, this causing Davis to respond by bringing his blades together as the drill clashed with them and started to push the maroon haired hero backwards.
"I may have lost this battle, but I can still return with your corpse!" The Warlord bellowed with an insane laugh as he pushed against Davis' defenses, showing the maroon haired champion that his opponent had lost his sanity in the process.
Standing his ground, Davis' concerns grew as he saw his blades start to crack from the intense pressure clashing against them.
Outside the Cyber Fortress, Blaze and Cybris continued their clash as the two dragons locked claws with one another, both expelling fearsome roars as they tried to overpower the other.
However, much to his surprise, Blaze then felt a sharp pain in his back.
Turning his head, Blaze saw that Cybris had struck him with the tip of his electrified tail and had sent a large amount of electrical voltage through the Fire Dragon in the process.
Letting out a feral chuckle at seeing his opponent stunned, Cybris then opened his mouth and aimed the cannons mounted upon his arms and back toward Blaze, before gathering energy within his weaponry as he prepared to end the Fire Dragon once and for all.
"You have wasted twenty thousand years fighting for a cause that isn't even your own, let go and fall into nothingness!" Krytus bellowed with a further madness and fury as he continued to push his drill forward and continued to push Davis back.
Within the Fire Palace and continuing to watch with the others as the battle seemed to turn in the Fire Realm's favour, Kari closed her eyes and held her hands close to her heart as she whispered softly. "Davis... Come back to me..."
As though hearing Kari's plea, Davis' eyes burned with an intense fire, the Fire Mana inside of him burning and growing in power.
'I won't go down like this, not after finally being reunited with her... Not while those I care about are all but lost...' The fire champion thought to himself as he slammed his foot down, seemingly stopping Krytus from pushing him back, much to the Warlord's confusion.
His arms engulfed in flames, Davis thought with further determination. 'Until Kari is safe... until everything is right for my friends, for my family...'
"I refuse to die to you!" He declared as he dropped his swords and quickly moved to the side, this causing Krytus to move forward and to miss his target, before receiving a powerful right hook to the face, shattering part of his helmet from the overwhelming force of Davis' strength.
Outside and feeling the increase in power, not only from Davis, but from himself, Blaze's eyes began to glow a bright red, before his entire being was engulfed in flames, this startling Cybris as his claws and tail were burned, causing the Cyber Dragon to let go and move backwards as he looked upon his foe and saw the Fire Dragon change before his eyes.
As the Fire Mana moved around and entered his being, Blaze's form changed, an Evolution as many would call it, where red steel gauntlets appeared around the dragon's fists, each with flaming claws extending from them, while Blaze's entire head was now covered in a metal helmet, which opened to allow his maw to be seen, while his burning eyes and horns were still visible.
A trail of fire then went down the Fire Dragon's back, acting as a mane, while two extra wings, both made of pure fire, emerged from his back, the transformation causing Blaze to expel a fearsome roar in response to his new power and new form.
From the Palace, those witnessing the change within Blaze were all left in awe, while Julie, Phirox, Caleb, Ferox and the rest of the Fire Legion forces looked upon the new form of the legendary dragon with awe and excitement.
Despite his claws and tail all but melting away and into nothingness, however, Cybris let out a fearsome roar of his own, once more pointing his back cannons at Blaze and unleashing a powerful blast from his mouth and the cannons on his back and arms, the Cyber Dragon seeking to end his foe before he had a chance to attack.
In response, however, Blaze opened his mouth as a massive amount of fiery energy gathered within it, while more energy gathered within the mouth on his torso armour, the sight of which shocked Cybris, before the Fire Dragon unleashed his own powerful blast, the fiery energy from his mouth combining with the blast from his torso cannon to form a powerful blast, one that overpowered Cybris' attack and slammed hard into the Cyber Dragon's being.
With a cry of agony and pain, Cybris' body then dissolved into ashes, leaving nothing in its wake but dust that scattered into the winds.
Back in the Cyber Fortress' core room, Krytus staggered back a few feet from Davis' strike, his vision slightly blurred as the UI interface was scrambled from the attack, where the broken Warlord then let out a scream as he looked back in the champion's direction, the drill spinning once again as he prepared another attack.
However, much to the Warlord's shock and disbelief, Davis was already before him, his eyes burning with an intense fire as his right arm was covered in flames, which took the form of a dragon's head as he slammed it into Krytus' chest, the attack sending the Warlord flying backwards and crashing into the core amongst a blazing fury.
As the fire of Davis' attack began to consume his being and cause the energy core he was pressed against to start to break apart, Krytus' last thoughts were of the Arch-Savant's warnings and realized that in the end, his rival was right all along.
And with that, the core exploded in a massive inferno, ending Warlord Krytus once and for all.
Sensing the explosion, Blaze quickly shot towards the Cyber Fortress, blasting through the hull and entering the construct as explosions began to occur all along the Fortress, a sight that caused many within the Fire Legions below to cheer.
Watching from the palace with held breaths, Kari, TK and those around them then let out cheers as they saw Blaze shoot out of the crumbling Cyber Fortress, Davis safe and resting upon his shoulder, while the Fire Dragon carried the water container from the command centre within his left hand as he flew down to the ground, just as the Cyber Fortress exploded in a massive inferno.
Landing on the beaches below, Blaze then allowed Davis off of his shoulder as Phirox and Ferox landed around them, allowing Julie and Caleb to land on their feet as well.
Looking, Davis then saw that not only had the Water Realm forces began to retreat, but the Orkkron forces were broken, where the maroon haired champion looked to see the latest of their Warlords dead not too far from his location, a large bullet hole through its skull allowing Davis to know who finished him as he then looked upon Caleb with a small smirk.
"Hey, two birds with one stone, am I right?" The dark haired champion questioned with his own smirk, before looking upon Blaze as Phirox and Ferox examined their friend.
"You evolved?" Ferox questioned as he looked his fellow Fire Dragon over, before commenting with a small amount of envy in his tone. "No fair!"
"Well tough!" Blaze replied with a hearty laugh, before his eyes looked upon the container within his hand, which he then set down on the sands below as Davis, Julie and Caleb cautiously surrounded it.
Within the waters in the container was a small creature, almost resembling a newborn, with blue skin and circuitry spreading along its form and leading to a chip embedded within its forehead, as well as a small tail as it moved about the water and looked upon the three champions with pure black eyes.
To anyone who first looked upon the being and had no clue what it was, the creature would appear to be cute, even adorable.
But to those who live upon Nexus, this being was anything but cute, where Davis looked upon the creature with a seriousness in his expression as he questioned. "Well, are you going to listen to us?"
'Be silent, you primitive brute!' An ancient and shrewd voice called out as it echoed within the minds of all in the vicinity, all of whom knew it came from the creature as Davis continued to glare at it.
A Cyber King, one of the ruling castes of the Water Realm, ancient minds that have governed the territory of the Water Emperor in his name since the formation of Nexus and each a living quantum computer in their own rights, ones with powerful telepathic abilities.
However, due to their bodies remaining undeveloped from the forms of adolescents or younger, the Cyber Kings often stayed behind the battle lines, coordinating their subjects and were often seen as major targets for those fighting the Water Realm.
'What will you do now, savage? Torture me? Execute me?' The Cyber King then questioned, slightly angered over the death of Krytus and the loss of a powerful asset to the Water Realm's forces.
"As much as you little guys annoy me, I tend to let you all go." Davis replied with a small growl within his voice as the Cyber King glared at him, before watching as the maroon haired hero and his allies stepped back from the container as a small number of cyber ninjas surrounded their Master, ready to bring him back to the safety of their territory.
"Give my regards to the Arch-Savant." The maroon haired champion then added, the Cyber King reluctantly nodding his head in reply to Davis' request, before he and his escorts disappeared into a field of blue Data particles, a sight that signified the end of yet another skirmish between realms.

Arriving back at the capital with Julie, Caleb, Lelouch, Victor, Kenji and many other soldiers after the battle, Davis and those who fought against Krytus were met with heroes' welcomes, the citizens of the Fire Realm celebrating another victory against their ancient foes, while also paying tribute to those that fell in battle.
Moving through the crowds of cheering citizens and fans, Davis and his group eventually reached the Palace, where he saw his friends from the DDF and Dark Imperium waiting for him, alongside the rest of the Fire Lords and realm rulers.
However, before he could speak, the maroon haired champion saw the love of his life rush towards him with tears of joy in her eyes, where Davis placed his hands on Kari's waist and spun her around, before pulling her close to him and claiming her lips in a passionate kiss, which only seemed to increase the cheering around him as those new to Nexus watched on with bright smiles of their own.
"I promised I'd come back to you, didn't I?" Davis questioned with a smirk once he broke the kiss, his words causing Kari to chuckle in reply as she kept her arms softly around his neck and looked into his eyes with unyielding love.
"I'm going to have to get used to this, aren't I?" The Dark Empress then questioned with her own smile, realizing how crazy her potential life in Nexus could be.
But knowing it would be with Davis, it wouldn't be so bad.
Smiling in reply and keeping his arms around his love, Davis said with an honest and loving tone. "Probably, but I can promise you it will never be dull here."
Her smile growing, Kari leaned in and kissed Davis once again, this bringing smiles to many present as TK and the rest of the Digi-heroes and heroines on both sides of the conflict in the Digital World felt that things would indeed work out in the end.

Closing the various screens around him as he watched the rest of the battle between Krytus' forces and the Fire Realm, including the end of the Warlord himself, the Arch-Savant mentally nodded as he took in the information that came to his mind.
Everything had gone nearly ninety-eight percent as he had calculated from the trillions of simulations and calculations he ran within his mind, baring the appearance of the Orkkron and their interference.
While Krytus had only focused his calculations on the battle itself, the Arch-Savant focused on the bigger picture, knowing that the enemies of the Water Realm would jump at the opportunity to strike when their forces were distracted.
Likewise, the Champion of the Water Emperor, having witnessed many battles led by the Fire Lord, Lelouch Cameron, knew and understood the young tactician's strategies more than Krytus did, knowing that the young lord had reinforcements waiting that would prolong the battle and cost more troops, a scenario the Arch-Savant would have been disastrous for the Water Realm as a whole.
Finally, there was the Fire Emperor's Champion himself that the Arch-Savant added into his calculations, knowing that not only from previous battles would the maroon haired champion prevail, but with the arrival of the factions of the Digital World, along with the reappearance of the woman he loved, the fire champion had a new drive that would push him more than anything in his existence.
Allowing the screens to all deactivate, the Arch-Savant then proceeded out of the chamber and towards his latest projects.
Everything was going as his calculations predicted, now all he had to do was let things play out.
And when the time came, the Arch-Savant knew he would see her once again.

Later that night and relaxing within the confines of his quarters within the palace, Davis found himself lying upon his bed and staring at the ceiling, the maroon haired hero then taking a moment to look down at the bob of brown hair leaning against him, to see Kari sleeping peacefully by his side.
While Davis and Kari desired to finally have their first night together, the former Digidestined of Light also wanted her beloved to rest after such a battle but decided to stay with him for the night, nonetheless.
Lightly caressing Kari's hair as she continued to sleep, her appearance continuing to highlight her beauty, Davis held a content smile to the feeling of a true sense of peace for the first time in so many years.
To have the love of his life so close to him, it almost felt as though nothing could ruin the moment.
It was then that a beeping sound drew Davis' attention to his gauntlet, where the red gem illuminated and a text message appeared in a holographic display before him.
Annoyed but knowing he couldn't ignore the message, the maroon haired hero gently slid himself away from Kari and read the message.
His eyes widening, Davis saw that it was from his counterpart in the Dark Realm, first commenting on his victory, with a few choice words, ones that made the maroon haired hero roll his eyes, before reading that he had found something that would help Kari, and that they were to come as soon as possible.
Reading this, Davis expressed a small sigh, one a mixture of happiness and nervousness, happiness to the fact that he could save Kari from the power killing her, but nervousness to what he had to now tell her.
Turning back to the sleeping brunette, Davis then lightly shook Kari awake, the sensation causing the former Digidestined of Light to stir from her slumber and to look upon Davis with a growing love.
Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Kari then said to her beloved through a tired tone. "Hey..."
"Hey yourself, beautiful." Davis said back and with a soft smile, one Kari found herself melting toward.
Although enjoying the moment between them, Kari then saw Davis gain a serious expression, before the maroon haired love of her life then said. "My contact in the Dark Realm just got back to me, he found what we are looking for."
Becoming slightly more alert to hearing this, Kari sat up a little and nodded her head with a growing smile, knowing that one way or another, her future with Davis would be secured.
"However, before we leave, there is something I need to tell you." Davis then said with a remaining seriousness, the concern within his eyes caused Kari to listen carefully as the man she loved told her something that would change everything.
