Thirty minutes after Finubar gave his approval for the DDF and Dark Imperium heroes and heroes, to allow the members of the Fire Realm, Dark Davis and Henry to participate amongst the hunt for the aberration, the group split up, some being escorted by members of the Cyber Fortress' crew as they were shown around the mobile base, while TK, Michael and their partners returned to Miracle's Reach, the two DDF commanders informing their friends and hosts that they need to make arrangements for something that could help in the upcoming battle.

At the same time, Water Davis led his own group around the Cyber Fortress, which consisted of Fire Davis, Dark Davis, Kari, Jun, Veemon, Gatomon, Julie, Caleb, Izzy, Thomas, Cody and their Digimon partners, the Digidestined of Knowledge and the DATS genius both interested in learning about the advanced technology of the Water Realm, while the trio of fire champions needed to stay close to the Arch-Savant as per the rules the five Davises set up for when they were in unallied Realms.

Alongside Julie and Caleb, Victor and Kenji also accompanied the group, both heirs having left the airship when Fire Davis told them it was alright, the duo remaining with a mix of awe and nervousness to be within a mobile stronghold of their greatest enemies.

"Fear not, young lord, you are safe here as long as you do not wander off." Water Davis commented from over his shoulder toward Victor and Kenji, his voice causing both to turn their gaze toward Fire Davis and saw him nod in agreement, a sight that brought some comfort to the two boys.

Arriving before what appeared to be an enclosed aquarium along one of the walls, Kari, Izzy, Jun, Thomas, Cody and the Digimon watched with curiosity as the Arch-Savant typed in a few commands on the holographic display upon his left arm, before holding his right hand out before himself.

There, the group then watched as a blue energy circulated into Water Davis' palm, reminding those from the Digital World of a fractal code as the energy assembled two circular objects, which then solidified into actual items within the Arch-Savant's possession, resembling two silver discs with a blue energy circle within the centre.

"What was that just now?" Thomas found himself questioning after seeing the item materialize within Water Davis' possession, a shared interest amongst Izzy and Cody.

"A Phase Construction Array, or PCA." Water Davis told Thomas in reply, before telling the DATS genius. "It conversed energy into matter based on specific instructions and desired outcomes."

"Prodigious!" Izzy said with a further awe and amazement within his tone, the Digidestined of Knowledge expressing a further and growing interest within the sciences as he watched the Arch-Savant bring up his holographic display once again. "That kind of technology could solve a lot of problems in our world."

"Unfortunately, Water Mana is a primary component of the PCA and this cannot be used anywhere else but within Nexus." Water Davis replied with a small empathy within his tone as he seemed to finish calibrating the devices, before he then turned and knelt down before Veemon and Gatomon.

As the others watched on with curiosity, Veemon and Gatomon remained with interest and some nervousness as Water Davis then placed the devices upon their chests, before pressing the blue energy circles at their centres.

Upon doing so, the two Digimon were then shocked as a blue energy field then surrounded their bodies, perfectly coating their forms as Veemon and Gatomon looked themselves over, before looking back upon the Arch-Savant as he held his left arm out, the holographic interface blocking his eyes from their own.

"As a warning, this is just a test." The Arch-Savant merely said as he pushed a few keys, his words concerning Veemon and Gatomon, who were about to ask what he meant, but found their vision to be suddenly consumed in a bright blue light.

When the light faded, the Digimon of Miracles and of Light widened their eyes to the position they found themselves in, finding that they were now within the water tank as everyone present, save for the three Davises, looked shocked from the other side of the glass, where Veemon and Gatomon let out quickly cries of panic to their situation.

However, the two Digimon then stopped screaming as they realized that they were breathing normally and that there was no pressure from the water pushing down upon them.

Moving around their arms and legs, Veemon and Gatomon found that they could move through the water with no trouble at all, almost like flying through the air, where the pair began to move around the tank and enjoy the situation with a more enthusiastic attitude.

"Energy fields are holding and the shield generators are working at optimal levels." Water Davis commented as he looked over the data on his holographic screen, adding after pressing a few keys. "Once updated with the information on the Digimon, Appmon, the other Digital Lifeforms and Fire Realm creatures, they will be able to attack with the shields remaining in place."

"What about the Dark Realm guys?" Tentomon came to ask, looking between Kari and Dark Davis.

"Won't they need those generators as well?" The insectoid Digimon then inquired.

"Our kind do not breathe air, little one, we are essentially undead." Faustian said through the gem upon Kari's hand, his voice startling most present as it was their first time hearing his voice.

"Furthermore, the pressures of the seas have no effect on us, so we will be able to move freely as well." Belezar then informed, allowing his allies to know that he and his brother would also be included in the upcoming battle and would not back down from any challenge.

Looking back upon the tank, there was a moment of silence as the group watched Veemon and Gatomon joyously swimming through the water, to see the two Digimon moving closer, taking each other's hands as they tried to dance under the water, while ignoring the small school of various sea life within the tank that moved around and watched the pair with interest.

"This is all amazing." Cody commented as he looked around the tank, his mind then drifted to the alliances and conflicts of Nexus, where the Digidestined of Knowledge and Reliability then said with some bewilderment. "It's hard to imagine being able to create this kind of society with two mortal enemies like the Light Realm and Dark Realm as allies."

"The ocean itself is symbolic of that relationship, Cody." Water Davis said in reply, gaining the attention of the younger Digidestined as the Arch-Savant faced them and gestured toward the tank as he explained his statement.

"Closer to the surface, where the light can be seen, the ocean is serene, beautiful, albeit dangerous at times, a coexistence of wonder and life. This is how our relationship with the Light Realm exists, they exist upon a higher level of understanding and of life, and we of the Water Realm strive to match and attain that higher existence in our own way." The water variant of Davis told the group, before turning his attention toward Dark Davis as the Arch-Savant continued.

"However, the deeper you go in the ocean, to the ocean floor or to the darker places where the light does not reach, life takes on a different, often more alien approach, with creatures that adapt and strike from the shadows, manipulate their surroundings and leave an aura of mystery. This is our connection to the Dark Realm, as we prefer at times to end our battles before they begin, to deal the fatal strike without casualties on our end, to move through the shadows and achieve our aim." Water Davis then went on to say to Kari and the others, his words reminding Thomas of something he saw during the battle between the Fire Realm and the Water Realm.

"Like those ninja-like figures that fought in the battle with Krytus." The blond genius remarked, his words receiving nods from Fire Davis, Julie, Caleb, Victor and Kenji, who each held back their resentment as they thought about the cyber ninjas that took down many friends and allies during that battle.

Deciding to change the subject and focusing upon the watery variant of her beloved, Kari approached Water Davis and placed her right hand upon his shoulder, looking lovingly into his eyes as she then told him. "It is amazing, all of it, all of what you have accomplished in your time here. I only pray that you haven't felt anger or resentment for us not coming here sooner."

Knowing that at least his dark variant had voiced his own inner anger and resentments of the past twenty thousand years, Water Davis gained a heartfelt smile, taking Kari's hands as told the love of his life. "I had come to accept the possibility that I would never see you again, and devoted myself to the role I was given here within the Water Realm. I theorized that there could have been a temporal desync between Nexus and the other worlds, but without proper Data, it was impossible to tell if such a premise was possible, and if so, whether time was moving slower or faster for the worlds beyond the Veil. I am… pleased to have learned that you were alive, to know that you were all alive, that not too much time has passed, while I am also sorry for the pain and despair we five have caused you all."

Merely smiling back at the Arch-Savant and seeing that deep beneath that supercomputer-styled mind was still the man she loved, Kari leaned in and gave her beloved a light kiss upon his lips, the sight leaving more than a few in the group smiling, knowing that things would, in their own ways, be right for the brunette and for her lovers.

Rolling his eyes slightly to the sight and holding back his growing annoyance at seeing Kari kiss another, even if it was another version of him, Dark Davis looked back upon the tank, where the Shadow chuckled amusingly as he then said. "You might want to get them out of there."

Turning their attention back to the tank, Kari and Julie both let out some small giggles, while the rest of the group, save the Arch-Savant, did their best not to laugh at the scene before them, seeing the school of fishes swimming fast around the tank, as though they were being chased by a shark.

Instead of a shark, however, it seemed that Gatomon's feline instincts had taken over, especially seeing so many fishes just swimming around her as the Digimon of Light was chasing after the creatures through the water, while Veemon was comically holding onto her tail, trying to stop her and talk some sense into her, only to find himself hanging on for dear life as Gatomon rushed after her potential lunch.

Remaining with a deadpanned expression, Water Davis typed in a few commands on his interface and remarked simply. "Yes, you are correct."

Hitting the last key, Kari, Fire Davis, Dark Davis and the others then watched as Veemon and Gatomon disappeared from the tank in a blue light, before reappearing before them in the hallway, the pair crashing to the floor with a startled yelp, where they then got up as the generators deactivated and the shields around them dropped.

Shaking his own head in amusement toward the display, Cody then gained an intrigued expression as his communicator activated within his ear as he heard TK speak to him from the other end of the line.

"TK would like us all to meet in the hangar with Miracle's Reach, he says he and Michael have a surprise to share that could help in the battle with the aberration." The younger Digidestined stated, his works intriguing Fire Davis, Dark Davis, Julie, Caleb and the others, while Kari frowned as she tried to shake the feeling within herself that the DDF was up to something once again.

"Yes, there have been over twenty Digi-port activations since we last spoke to them, it will be interesting to see what they have brought into Nexus." The Arch-Savant commented with some intrigue, before gesturing to the group to follow him as they made their way to the hangar in order to see what the DDF had in store for them.

.

.

.

Arriving within the hanger, the three Davises, Kari and their group saw the rest of the DDF and Dark Imperium heroes and heroines, as well as Henry, waiting for them, along with a rather large gathering, one that caused the Dark Empress to narrow her eyes as she saw the large force of DDF Digimon waiting for them, while Fire Davis and Dark Davis remained vigilant.

Parting to allow the three Davises and Kari to walk past them, the DDF and Dark Imperium Digi-heroes then walked behind the four as they various Digimon around them, all apart of the D-Brigade, saluted toward those that passed by, with a few of the Commandramon and Sealsdramon gazing at the Dark Empress with narrowed eyes as they remembered their friends and comrades they had lost at her hands.

"Some new evolutions I see." Water Davis merely remarked as he looked around and upon the D-Brigade Digimon, seeing the Cargodramon along with the Commandramon, Sealsdramon and Tankdramon, along with a Digimon type that looked like a cross between a Commandramon and a Greymon, each with a riot shield in one hand and a grenade launcher within the other.

"They're called Hi-Commandramon apparently." Fire Davis remarked as he looked upon the Champion Level Digimon and remembered the information he was given when the DDF first arrived in Nexus, his words earning a nod from his watery counterpart as the group arrived before the airship.

Standing before the three Davises, Kari and the remainder of their friends, TK, Michael, Catherine and their Digimon partners each held bright smiles, each seeming eager to share whatever news they had with the group.

"After pulling teeth from a few of the council members." TK started to say, before giving Dark Davis a glance as he added with a serious tone. "Figuratively speaking, they have agreed that, as the Dark Imperium was able to demonstrate their might and fire power for the Dark Realm, even if it was apart of the Rite of Dark Combat, that we would show what the DDF is capable of for the rest of Nexus."

"As such, not only have we brought the best of our forces from the Digital World, but we have also brought something that was originally top secret, something to help turn the tide of the war." Michael then informed as he looked briefly at Kari, before adding with a small smile. "But since the war is over, they can be put to use here and help with whatever they will be needed for."

Upon the end of Michael's speech, one of Miracle's Reach's hanger doors opened, where the Davises and Kari saw a large number of DDF human soldiers and three Digimon that none but a few within the area had ever seen before.

Looking upon the newer Digimon, the Davises and Kari saw that they looked like a cross between WarGreymon and a blue fighter jet, which had twin engines and wings fused upon their backs, as well as thrusters on their feet and as part of their tails, while their left hands appeared to have the same claw-like gauntlet as WarGreymon, only with lines that indicated openings for other weapons.

Their right hands, meanwhile, had large gatling guns built over them, each connected to a container that held ammunition upon the Digimon's right hips, giving the Digimon an overwhelming and an overpowering appearance of destruction.

"A new Mega form for the Commandramon?" Water Davis questioned as he looked upon the new Digimon, before turning his attention toward Michael, who nodded his head in reply.

"They are called Brigadramon and were meant to be added alongside the Darkdramon as our new assault force against the Dark Imperium." The American Digidestined said in reply, watching as all of the Brigadramon then saluted with respect toward the three Davises, before their commander continued and told the group. "But now, their firepower will be used to help fight this aberration."

"Why are there only three of them?" The Shadow then questioned as he looked upon the new Megas of the D-Brigade, the dark variant of Davis curious as to who there aren't more of these Digimon ready to fight.

"This is all they have been able to create so far, Lord Shadow." Water Davis then informed, his words earning shock from the DDF Commanders as he went on and explained. "The process requires months of training and preparations to find the proper candidates, and as of the past twenty four hours, these three are the only ones in service so far."

"Wait… how do you know that?" TK found himself questioning, before becoming even more shocked as the Arch-Savant told him. "I have already looked over the DDF's database, reviewed the unit profiles and the blueprints of various projects and equipment currently in production."

"When did you do this?" Izzy then found he had to ask, the Digidestined of Knowledge having tried many times over the past five years to break through the firewalls the DDF installed after he joined the Dark Imperium.

"Twenty seconds ago." Water Davis merely replied, his words causing all but his counterparts and those from Nexus to look upon him with wide eyes as he then informed them. "The firewalls are impressive, but nothing the technologies of the Water Realm cannot breach."

Shaking his head in awe and feeling a small headache as he tried to process what this newer Davis was capable of, that he hacked into the DDF's most secure database in mere seconds, and while talking to them, Takato then focused upon the D-Brigade forces, narrowing his own eyes as he saw the glares they sent his way.

"Can we really trust these guys?" The Infected Tamer found he had to ask, looking amongst the DDF heroes and heroines as he then questioned. "You guys have my trust, but what's to stop them from turning their guns upon us?"

Understanding Takato's suspicion, especially with the way their troops were looking upon their former enemies, TK and Michael were about to speak and reassure those among the Dark Imperium that there would be no more betrayals on the DDF's part.

But before they could speak, however, Fire Davis spoke up as he looked amongst the D-Brigade Digimon and offered them. "Hey, if you guys behave and work with us, all of us, then I promise you'll get free meals for life!"

To Davis' words, the various Digimon of the D-Brigade quickly looked amongst themselves, before turning their attention back to the fire champion with stars in their eyes.

"All hail Commander Davis! All hail Commander Davis! All hail Commander Davis! All hail Commander Davis!" The military Digimon all started cheering with a great uproar, their arms raised in salute, the sight causing mostly the DDF personnel to sweatdrop.

'Did he just bribe our entire military with food… and won them over…?' Tai, Sora and the others of the DDF thought with dumbfounded expressions.

Although mentally admitting that such a tactic was somewhat impressive, but returning the attention back upon himself, Water Davis cleared his throat, the chanting stopped and everyone turned their attention upon the Arch-Savant, who informed everyone present. "Very well, it would be reasonable for everyone to get several hours of rest before the operation begins. Shield generators and DSFs will be provided at the proper time."

With Water Davis' words said, everyone in the hanger dispersed, moving to make whatever preparations they needed, while the three Davises, Kari, Gatomon and Veemon proceeded out of the hanger so that the Arch-Savant could make the final preparations necessary for the battle to come.

"Though unnecessary, I thank you for your actions in mending the tension amongst the DDF Digimon." Water Davis said to his fiery counterpart, who merely nodded in reply.

"I still don't trust them, not after hearing what Michael tried to do to Kari." Dark Davis then said with a hint of resentment within his tone, before looking upon his watery counterpart as he then questioned. "Why aren't you angry at them?"

"It is illogical to be angry over an event that didn't even take place." Water Davis said in reply as he looked upon his dark variant, who he then told with a further understanding. "Their plan to wipe Kari's memories of us failed and they paid the price for it, there is no reason or need to hold anything against them, so long as they do not try such actions again. If it will help ease your own worries, my dark variant, then I can give Kari an implant with her permission that would prevent such actions from ever happening again."

Smiling as she heard her beloveds converse amongst themselves, particularly about her and their desire to protect her, Kari then looked upon Fire Davis as he then spoke up.

"We'll discuss that at another time. For now, let's focus on dealing with this aberration." He offered, receiving nods from his counterparts as they led Kari and the Digimon to the command centre in order to finish their preparations for the battle to come.

.

.

.

Less than a day afterwards, and after the final preparations had been made, with the DSFs built for the humans of the DDF, Dark Imperium and Fire Realm, as well as the shield generators developed, distributed and provided to those who would need them, the Water Realm armada was now positioned deep within a chasm below the ocean's surface, one large enough to fit several Cyber Fortresses and would provide a safe area for the fleet to combat the aberration without bringing harm to any civilian population.

As they surveyed the potential battlefield, TK, Michael, Tai, Mikey and the others that weren't in Digimon form looked around and observed their personal subs, each resembling solid blue manta rays that lacked the energy wings of the standard Water Realm fighters, but were equipped with the same kind of weaponry.

Around the group of subs being piloted by those from the Digital World, Omnimon, Susanoomon, ShadowGallantmon, Ophanimon: DM, TyrantVeedramon and the rest of the Digimon and Appmon prepared themselves for combat, the Appmon having evolved into their God Grade forms, while the D-Brigade Digimon had been positioned upon various rock formations along the chasm in order to aid in fire support, all wearing the shield generators so they too could fight underwater.

Along with the soldier types the group had seen during the battle in the Fire Realm amongst the Water Realm forces, including Cyber Dragons and cybernetic sea life, those new to Nexus also saw an array of newer creatures, which ranged from soldiers that were half man, half fish, to mobile robotic machine shaped like various sea life, from turtles to sharks, each a mobile weapons platform designed for undersea combat.

Likewise, instead of horses or raptors for mounts, those new to Nexus looked on with awe and bewilderment to see many of the Water Realm soldiers riding actual sharks, ones which had energy cannons mounted on the sides of their heads as a means of extra firepower.

Turning their gaze upon their other allies, the DDF and Dark Imperium heroes and heroines saw Blaze, Phirox, Ferox and Belezar floating nearby, the Fire Realm creatures all equipped with the shield generators, much to their annoyance, as they prepared for the upcoming battle.

Likewise, it was the first time for many present to have their first look upon Kari's new partner, Faustian, who floated in the water next to Belezar as the Shadow Demons waited for the moment to act.

"How does he feel to be amongst the world, brother?" Belezar questioned as he looked upon Faustian, sensing the intrigue within his fellow Shadow Demon.

"It is quite intriguing to be within the Water Realm, to sense its energies and see its inhabitants with my own eyes." Kari's Dark Realm partner replied, a glint of amusement expressed within his lone eye as he then told Belezar. "I will enjoy testing my power against our foe."

Moving their attention away from the two Shadow Demons, the focus of those new to Nexus then focused on another sight they had not seen before, Henry's new partner, a ghostly Death Dragon named Kurdoss.

Looking upon the Dark Realm creature, Suzie, Terriermon and the others saw that Kurdoss had the upper body of a black dragon, with a series of horns running from the top of his head and down the sides of his neck, while his front claws appeared normal for a dragon, the same could be said about its wings.

However, this was the only part of Kurdoss that was normal, as the rest of his body was that of a ghost, with wispy lower legs and a ghostly mane running down the back of his neck and toward his tail, while a series of ghostly hands emerged from his back, which looked ready to grab and strike at any who defied him or the Wraith.

As Henry explained to them, Kurdoss did not speak, but the ghostly Tamer did inform them that they were linked together, and that the ghostly dragon was more than happy to fight alongside his new allies.

Turning their attention and looking over their allies, those new to Nexus also took in another strange and intriguing sight, taking in the physical appearance of Water Davis' partner, Cybrian.

Looking over the Cyber Avatar, the Digi-heroes and heroines were surprised as the water creature looked nothing like they had envisioned, seeing that Cybrian had a humanoid appearance to him.

Looking over Cybrian, the group saw that he was a black skinned humanoid with a blue circuitry system running along his body which led up to a series of glowing blue eyes.

The rest of his head, his chest, shoulders, hips and wrists, meanwhile, were covered in a clear crystal-like armour which featured six crystalline spikes protruded from out of the shoulder pads, two pointing upward and four pointing to the sides, this giving Cybrian a mysterious, yet dangerous appearance.

Back within the command centre of the Cyber Fortress, Water Davis watched the various screens as his two variants, Kari, Julie, Caleb and Finubar stood by his side, the three fire champions and the Shadow waiting to join the battlefield when necessary, while the group kept their eyes upon the monitors, with one in particular showing the bait.

Resting upon a rock pillar at the centre of the chasm, the uranium was contained within a cylindrical device that would emit a signal based on the radiation frequency of the nuclear material, without the actual radiation being released and harming anyone, after activation.

Likewise, a series of generators were set up around the chasm, creating a cloaking field to hide the Water Realm Armada from the aberration when it arrived and to give the combined forces an element of surprise.

"Activating beacon. All forces remain alert." Water Davis then said through the communicators and through the telepathic network as he typed in commands upon a holographic keyboard, thus causing the containment device to emit a constant pulse, sending out the signal of the uranium for thousands of leagues.

'Maintain alert upon the sensors.' Finubar ordered the command centre crew members, who nodded in response to the Cyber King's guidance.

Looking from the cockpit of his sub, Tagiru watched the beacon send off its signal for a few moments, before he then asked with some annoyance. "Um… how long will this take?"

"As long as it takes, Tagiru." Water Davis replied through the comms with a further logistics. "The aberration could be leagues away or could possibly have moved on without our knowledge. There is also the possibility that the uranium won't have the desired effect, so we must remain patient for now."

"A patient hunter always catches their prey." Mimi then commented through the comms, her words, along with the tone she used, causing all three Davises to raise an eyebrow with confusion, the Arch-Savant momentarily stopping his typing upon the keyboard as he tried to make sense of what he heard.

Turning his attention upon Kari, Fire Davis then questioned with a growing curiosity and concern. "Ok, seriously, what happened to her? I know war can change people, but after seeing Mimi gun down a bunch of vampires and now this…? This is not the same girl who abhorred and detested violence we once knew."

Remaining silent for a moment and knowing that she was mostly to blame for Mimi's change in personality, the Dark Empress expelled a soft sigh as she told the fiery variant of her lover. "I think it is best if she tells you when she is ready. She won't appreciate it if others, especially I, tell you first."

Sighing with a small frustration, but nodding his head in understanding, Fire Davis returned his focus upon the screens as he waited for the aberration to arrive.

Unbeknownst to most around him, however, the Arch-Savant mentally accessed the DDF's database once again, bringing up any files regarding the Digidestined of Sincerity, his eyes widening for a second, before he filed the information away, where he would refer to it later once the aberration was dealt with.

Nearly ten minutes later, several alarms then activated as one of the screens showed a large red dot heading toward the uranium, the alerts causing the command centre crew to spring into action.

The beacons are signaling, Arch-Savant… reading a massive signature, one twice the size of the Fortress, heading into the trap…

Hearing the mental declaration, the ambush force went on full alert as they remained behind the cloaking fields, the forces waiting to get their first look upon the aberration and prepare to strike.

Soon enough, the armada first heard a loud roar echoing through the waters, before a massive creature emerged from the shadows and moved itself toward the uranium.

Taking in the creature's appearance, the Arch-Savant and the others saw that it was massive, with an upper body that resembled many artistic depictions of the Lovecraftian entity called Dagon, with the upper body having a humanoid appearance, including a torso, two arms with fin-like hands, and a rounded head, one with a trio of fins upon the top and six glowing dark purple eyes, all of which were situated around a gaping maw as the beasts lower jaw split into two, revealing a series of tendrils within the beast's mouth.

The lower part of the creature's body, meanwhile, was a strange mix, which featured a serpent's body that moved about within the waters, while a series of tentacles moved around the creature's waist, giving it a terrifying and menacing appearance.

Looking the creature over, however, Water Davis then noticed how both blue and dark purple energies seemed to run along the creature's being, while a series of shadowy fins ran along the monster's back, allowing the Arch-Savant to know that this creature was a fusion of Water Mana and Dark Mana, which made the creature that more dangerous and threatening.

But how did such an amalgamation come into existence, and how has it been able to grow in size and power without being noticed?

These were questions for another time, ones Water Davis would answer as he watched the aberration move its head toward the containment device, its maw opened as it consumed not just the uranium, but the entire rock pillar it was set upon.

"The aberration is a mixture of Water Mana and Dark Mana, proceed with caution, use range attacks for now until we can determine the creature's full capacity and find its weakness." Water Davis commanded through the links, before ordering with authority and determination. "Commence operation!"

With the command given, the cloaking fields all dropped around the chasm, where the aberration looked around and let out a fearsome and deafening roar to find itself surrounded, where the Water Realm Armada began to open fire upon the creature.

Seeing the energy blasts collide with the aberration's skin, but do no real damage, seemingly annoying the creature more than anything, the rest of the hunting forces prepared themselves to engage the beast, to find out how to stop it and to bring its reign of terror to an end.
