Chapter 11- "Revelations from the goddamn vampire"

Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie had gone out for brunch, leaving Davina with Josh at the compound. Josh still didn't have a daylight ring and Davina didn't know how to make one. Bonnie had agreed to teach the young witch the ropes since the young witch had revealed to Elena that when she was on the other side, the ancestors tortured her for helping the vampires and not taking the side of the witches. Klaus had the spell for the daylight ring on the original witch's grimoire, but Elijah had yet to be persuaded out of his brother's hand.

"You and Klaus?" Bonnie said after they placed their order. "And you and Elijah? Am I the only that didn't get the memo?"

"In my defense, I was always attracted to him. Whenever I had to act as a distraction, it wasn't a lot of faking on my part. All it took was him asking for my confession and then he kissed me, and then he took me to his bed and begged me to stay throughout the night and honestly how could I say no?"

"I'm sure it had nothing to do with him making you the queen of New Orleans," Bonnie said.

"Okay, he only told me about making me queen the morning after, and I don't care about that. I only want to be with him, even if it means being queen of this city."

"What about you, Katherine?" Bonnie asked, careful not to say Elena.

"Rebekah brought me here, and the last time me and Elijah had spoken we were in a terrible place" Which was true. Elena practically said it felt good to watch the thoughtful letter he had written apologizing to her for his action of having her sister kidnap her. "And when I found him, I had my humanity off and he brought me back, and he had made his intentions clear from the beginning, he said he wanted a relationship with me. And I said yes, and it was the best thing I've ever done."

"Wow, it's just a bit odd, it takes so much to get used to," Bonnie said. "We used to fight these people, and now we're living with them."

"They'll do anything for each other, Bonbon," Elena said, smiling, as their food arrived.

They had begun eating, continuing their conversation when they were interrupted by Genevieve.

"Katerina." She said, approaching the group. Bonnie looked at her intensely, prepared to fight her. "I'm not here to fight. I just want you to relay a message to Elijah."

"Why should I?" Elena asked. "You tied me to a tree with vervain ropes, put a course on him, and made him kill me."

"He didn't. And I'm sorry, I should've known better, that you two were sharing blood. I am aware that no magic can break that bond." She looked down as if she was disgusted with herself. "But I need you to ask Elijah if I and my coven can celebrate the Feast of The Blessings, which is when the community offers the witches gifts in return for blessings. Davina has to take part in the Feast because she was part of the Harvest"

"Why don't you ask Klaus?" Asked Caroline.

"Klaus has made clear that he will kill me if he has the chance. That's why I'm requesting Elijah. We all signed the contract, I'm following the rules."

"I'll ask him," Elena said.

Later, after they arrived at the compound, Bonnie went to the roof with Davina to teach her magic, Caroline had gone out to meet Klaus and Elena went to look for Elijah.

She was about to climb up the stairs when someone pulled her by the arm and pushed her against the brick wall. It was Elijah, smiling at her, with one hand holding her waist and another touching the wall, his body flush against hers.

"I missed you." He said.

"I missed you too." She said, putting her hands on his neck, and sighing.

"What's wrong my love?" He asked, noticing something was wrong.

"I'm..nothing." She said, secretly hoping he'd dropped it, but knowing he wouldn't.

"Tell me, please." He said, looking at her. She could never say no to his eyes.

"I'm just… tired of pretending to be her every time I'm out of here, it's getting exhausting."

"I know my love, I'm tired of calling you by another name when we're outside. I want to shout out at the top of my lungs how much I love you, Elena Gilbert."

"Really?" She asked, playing with the hair, on the nape of his head, smiling.

"Shouting out to the world how much you brought this deadman's heart back to life, that you are the love of my life, Elena Gilbert." He said, whispering, and kissing her. It was only supposed to be a kiss. Technically they were alone on the first floor. Klaus had gone out to buy things for his daughter with Caroline, Hayley was in the bayou and Bonnie was too far away with Davina.

Moving closer to each other, Elijah kissed her while pressing her against the cold brick wall.

Elena felt safe in his embrace, her want to be with him growing as his hands roamed her body. She felt her heart race as he whispered her name in her ear, his arousal clear against her as Elijah pressed her farther against the wall and kissed her passionately.

He wanted to savor every second with her, to let the intensity of the moment completely consume him. Her breath was hot against his neck, and his hands roamed over her body as they kissed deeply. He could feel her arousal growing with every breath, and his adrenaline taking over.

He opened his pants grabbed her hand and lifted her skirt, pushing her panties to the side, pushing himself against her as she let out a moan of pleasure. Her body began to convulse as she felt him move in perfect synchronization with her. It felt like all of time had stopped in that single moment, and he could feel her pleasure on every inch of his body. He pushed himself deeper, feeling her walls tighten around him.

He could feel the electricity flowing between them, feeling the warmth of her body intensify as he explored every inch of her. Elena gasped as the sensations began to overwhelm her, and Elijah reveled in the pleasure he was bringing her. His growing excitement was too much for him to control, so he moved his mouth down her neck, his tongue and lips igniting a fire deep within her. Their movements became faster and more passionate, and soon Elijah could feel the intensity rising inside of him.

Suddenly, Elena's body shook as wave after wave of climax crashed over her, and Elijah followed close behind, erupting in pleasure as he felt her exploding on him.

When they finally pulled away, Elijah felt a sense of deep connection to Elena.

Elena's heart was beating furiously as she kissed Elijah intensely. She snaked her hands up under Elijah's suit jacket to feel his strong back against her palms, and as his lips lapped up the flavor of her own, she felt an incredible rush of pleasure and excitement course through her veins. They stayed in that moment for what seemed an eternity, before finally parting.

Elijah carefully put Elena back to her feet, holding her steady.

"I love you Elena," He said, lovingly.

"I love you too, always and forever." She said, smiling at him. His smile got bigger and he hugged her as if he could never let her go, while she hugged him back.

"I've waited so long for you to say these words, my love." He said, tearing up.

"I was just waiting for the right moment, and I guess after my boyfriend completely rails me against the brick wall was the moment." She said, smiling, making him laugh.

He stepped back and held her face with his hands.

"You don't know how long I've waited for you Elena Gilbert."

"I know how much I've waited for you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my days with with you."

He couldn't take it any longer and allowed his strong arms to pull Elena close to him and lock their lips together. He kissed her lovingly and deeply, feeling the electricity from their embrace and the energy that surged between them. She tasted sweet like fresh strawberries and he groaned lightly in response. Elena responded eagerly and before they knew it they were lost in a moment of love. When they finally broke apart, they shared a tender laugh and Elijah smiled wide, his heart full of love.

Later that day, she had finally told him what Genevieve had asked and Elijah had allowed since the peace agreement would require the factions to use the public space every once in a while.

A few days early, the night of the feast had arrived, and all of the factions were invited as long as they sent representatives of their own. Hayley, as alpha of the wolf pack that now had broken the curse thanks to Sabine's concoction, was representing the wolves, Francesca represented the humans, and the rest of the humans were either tourists or actual residents that had no idea an actual war was happening on their backyard.

The Mikaelsons were taking part as well, although Klaus said he'd be late because he had something to take care of and told Caroline to go with Elijah, Elena, and Bonnie. Marcel had been exiled across town by Klaus, and he couldn't come.

Davina seemed to be enjoying how the humans were receptive to the witches, though Monique was less than welcoming towards her, as was Genevieve.

When the offering began, all of the witches that had resurrected were given gifts, except for Davina. The people were instructed to ignore her and that was making Elena angry.

"Elijah, we have to do something!" She told him, watching Davina getting humiliated by the community.

"We have a gift, my love, we just have to wait for the right time." He comforted her.

It was just then that everyone heard the sound of drums. Suddenly, at the top of the stairs, a group of five drum players yelled:

"This is a message from Marcel Gerard. This is war!" And next, they cut their throats, and the power went out. The vampires that didn't have their self-control immediately attacked the humans.

"Elena" Elijah said, looking for her in the crowd since panic had ensued.

A few minutes later the power came back. A few tourists and locals had been killed, but that was the least of their worries now.

Elijah found Elena backed in a corner, protecting Hayley. The doppelganger had been bitten herself by other vampires, but she took the hits to protect the expecting wolf. Elijah, Bonnie, and Caroline went to them.

"Elena? Did you call her Elena again Elijah? Just like you said you loved Elena and not Katerina when I put a curse on you." Said Genieve. Elijah was assessing Elena's wounds, but her lacerations were already healing.

"You know, there is no record of Elena Gilbert dying in Mystic Falls, but there is a record of Jeremy Gilbert dying" Said Francesca, getting close to Genieve.

"The witches had been whispering that Katherine had gone to hell, not the other side" Monique steps in, after noticing how the originals took a liking to Davina over her.

Elena had lost it after Francesca brought up Jeremy. Her eyes turned black, her veins popped up and her fangs came down. She was about to go on Francesca and Genieve when Elijah and Caroline held her down.

"Don't, don't it. It's not worth it." Said Caroline.

"She talked about Jeremy, she has no right to talk about him!" Elena said, trying to free herself.

"So it is true," Francesca said. "The Mikaelsons were fooling us all this time"

"I reckon this means the treaty is over," Genevieve says. "So I have no reason to fear the big bad Katherine Pierce. All I see is her doppelganger." The ginger witch lifted her hand to cast a spell when Bonnie stepped in.

"Don't you dare," Bonnie said.

"The ancestors are not happy with you Bennet witch," Monique said.

"I'm tired of pleasing the ancestors. I just want to help my friend. She didn't ask to be Katherine's doppelganger. And you" She said, turning to Francesca. "had no right to bring up Jeremy's death. Katherine killed him to bring Silas back. I took down Silas. I could've killed Klaus had Elijah not stepped in. If you want to kill Elena, you'll have to go through me."

"And me," Davina said, walking to them, and standing beside Bonnie. "Ever since Elena got here, she's treated me better than all of you combined. She never wanted anything from me. If you want to kill her, you'll have to kill me."

"Would you betray your own family?"Monique asked Davina.

"You are not my family," Davina replied.

Elena got herself back under control and grabbed the gift they had for Davina.

"Thank you, Davina." She said, coming closer to the witches. "Yes it's true, I am Elena Gilbert, I am not Katherine Pierce. Katherine is dead. I came here of my own free will to help the Mikaelson's, but don't act as if any of you would've done any better to get this town rid of Marcel. Klaus used my blood to break his curse, and sometime later I became a vampire. I came here with Rebekah and I decided to stay because I found something to live for." She said, looking at Elijah. "But I couldn't help but notice that even though this was supposed to be a feast of the community giving offerings to the witches, you Genevieve, and Monique have orchestrated for Davina not to be offered anything. We have an offering for her, that's so much better than any offering any of you have received." And with that, she gave the gift to Davina.

It was a velvet blue box. Davina opened it and it contained a spell for the daylight right.

"Now you can make Josh one," Elena said, smiling. Davina reciprocated the smile and hugged Elena, who hugged her back. Monique and Genevieve looked at the scene with jealousy. That offering was indeed better.

"If I could make an offering myself to the host of the party," Klaus said, making an entrance, that only he could. "While everyone was here, enjoying or surviving, "He said, looking down at the bodies. "the feast, I was back at the compound. You see, someone Genevieve sent to steal my mother's, the original witch's, grimoire. But she forgot to tell that poor warlock what he was getting himself into." Klaus opened the box he holding, shielding away from Caroline. It contained the hands of the warlock. He dropped the box on the floor.

"You've made a huge mistake!" Genevieve said. "I'll bring the end of you and your family!

Klaus simply smiled and got closer to her. He grabbed her by her neck, asphyxiating her.

"That's twice you've tried to come for me and my family. My reason to kill you remains the same: my queen doesn't deserve to walk over your corpse. If there's a third time, I won't hesitate." He lets go of her and turns to his family. "Let's go home."

Back at the compound, after they took their clothes off and put on their pajamas, Elijah and Elena went to the kitchen. Elijah made them both tea, and they sat near each other.

"I know why you did that," Elena said.

"Did what?"

"Called me by name. You don't want to have to hide our relationship any more than I do." She said, taking a sip of her tea and looking at him.

"It's true. I don't want to hide it. I just…"

"Didn't expect it to happen in a witches' festival and they'd try to kill me?"

"Yes."

"Well, I'm used to it by now."

"They wouldn't try anything with too many witnesses. And Davina taking our side took them by surprise."

"Elijah, I wanted to come for them when they brought Jeremy up. They had no right to do that."

"No, they didn't my love. And I'll make sure they'll pay for it."

"Seems like you'll have to get in line, Klaus will make them pay first," Elena said, smiling.

"Thank you," Elijah said.

"For what?"

"For protecting Hayley."

"She's family. Soon we'll have a little niece running around the compound making Klaus mad." Elijah laughed, loving how she was referencing Hayley's daughter as their niece.

"That's a scene I'd love to see," Elijah said, kissing her next.

Though the night had ended well, they had lost one advantage they had: Katherine Pierce. And all the factions now knew. That didn't mean that they weren't afraid to mess with Elena, although Elijah was known as the noble one, he was ruthless when it came to protecting his family.

The Mikaelsons were winning the war, for now.
