Author's note: Thanks for the reviews! I am so glad you all are enjoying the story.
Robert had excused himself for a moment, needing to collect his thoughts. Why was he such an idiot recently with Holly and Diane? It was always Holly, it had always been Holly and he let her think that wasn't the case. His mind traveled back to the car ride from his office to the hospital to see Anna.
Flashback
"You sure you don't want to drive?" Robert asked a smirk on his face.
"Robert." Holly gave him that smile, that smile that always made him crumble.
"I still can't believe you are here again." Robert slid one of his hands on hers and she locked fingers with his, looking down at his hands. He looked at her for just a moment. My god did he love this woman.
She looked up at him. "Believe it. I missed you. I saved Ethan then I came back. I know it's not over yet with Victor out there." Holly's smile had faded, she feared what Victor would do to everyone.
"We'll take care of him." Robert told her in a matter of fact tone. Holly knew they would.
"Robert I..." Holly started but stopped. "I really need to talk to Anna."
End flashback
Robert stared at Holly's wedding ring, he knew she was trying to tell him that night. He put her ring back up and walked back out into the living room.
Ethan was looking at a picture of Robert and Holly the was laying on the table nearby. She looked so happy in it so did Robert. He hated the fact that he played a part in separating them.
"It's a good picture of her." Robert took a seat.
"It is, she looks happy despite what she was going through." Ethan felt defeated thinking about all she sacrificed for him.
"Ethan you know she would do it again, in a heartbeat. She loves you more than anything." Robert told him, he hated seeing him being so hard on himself. Holly wouldn't want that, he didn't want that.
"You know you are the only other person in the world she would do anything for, well you and Robin." Ethan knew how much they both mean to her.
Robert gave a smile and a nod, she was the only person besides his brother years ago that he trusted Robin with completely.
There was a knock on the door. "I'm almost afraid to answer it." Robert muttered while going over to the door. He opened it and was relieved to see Felicia on the other side.
"Hi Robert, Ethan." Felicia went over and gave him a hug.
"Did you find anything out?" Robert was impatient, he couldn't help it.
"Only that she was on a flight and it seemed to go off the radar. I haven't given up yet. Selina knows nothing, said Holly told her she couldn't do it and she would find another way last minute." Felicia sat down.
That hit Robert even harder. She chose not to work for Selina. Why didn't she come back to him? Why would she after the things he said. "Let's follow any leads we can."
Felicia nodded. "I have Frisco and Annie helping us but they know to keep it quiet even if that means Annie is going to eventually have to deal with her mother with her keeping this from her."
Robert shook his head, he couldn't help but smile. Tiff wasn't going to be pleased about being left out but the less people who knew the better. "I don't envy her."
Felicia tilted her head to the side. "Neither do I." She looked at both Robert and Ethan. "I need you two to do something for me though and for Holly. I need you to remember that she is a fighter. She withstood everything that Victor put her through. We are going to find her and bring her home, got it?"
Ethan nodded as did Robert. "I can't say we won't be worried but Holly is okay, I told her I wouldn't bet against her and I won't."
"Good now let's find Holly." Felicia was determined to find her friend, not only for Robert and Ethan but for herself. The two of them went way back.
The three of them went over the last time they heard from Holly, right down to the leather pants she had on. Through the night Felicia couldn't help but notice just how much alike Robert and Ethan were, it was almost uncanny the similarities. She wasn't going to bring it up to them though. She just knew Holly would be proud of how her boys were working together to bring her home.
