Author's note: Wanted to give a little more of what Holly was going through and her thought process to when Ethan finally got through to her. Hope you all enjoy!
Holly hated that she found herself in this situation again. She wondered if Ethan was alright? She wondered if Robert had actually moved on. She couldn't let her mind focus on either of those things. It wouldn't help her stay motivated and those two were her motivation. Ethan urged her to go back to Robert and she had every intention to. Sometimes she dreamt of how to conversation would go. She knew Robert better than anyone, her favorite book so to speak.
Fantasy
Holly made the call to Robert after telling Selina she couldn't work for her.
"Holly?" Robert answered the phone, the shock evident in his voice.
"Robert, you are right it's you and I, it's us. Please help me figure this out." Holly said softly.
Robert was over the moon and you could hear it in his voice. "Where are you? We are in this together."
End of fantasy
Holly couldn't think of it too much because sometimes that motivation also broke her. She felt she wasn't good enough for Robert after that conversation she had with Diane. Honestly though who did she think she was? She had a brief "flirtation" with Robert, Holly had been his wife for years, his love and his best friend. She wasn't on the right side of the law herself, just knew ways to get around it. Holly wasn't about to let her take the love of her life from her.
Now she might be doing just that with her blessing. She wasn't angry at Robert, what was he supposed to think?
Ethan had got it through to her that she didn't need to give up, she wasn't going to and then this happened.
She had started scoping things out to try to find an escape. Truthfully she was hesitant because of what happened to Paloma, it scared her to think someone would target Ethan or Robert because of her trying to get away. If she knew who she was up against it would help but all she usually heard was distorted voices and saw guards. Thoughts of seeing Paloma murdered in front of her froze her so often.
