Thanks for the reviews! Still so much to come! :)

Once they were at the hospital Ethan was immediately taken to the operating room. They had to remove the bullet. Robert hadn't let go of Holly the whole way there and kept a hold of her now.

"We need to get you checked out." Robert told her softly.

Holly shook her head. "No, I need to be here for Ethan."

"Luv what good are you going to be if you aren't taking care of yourself?" Robert asked her calmly.

Holly looked up at him with tears in her eyes, she knew he was right but she was so scared of not being as close to Ethan as possible.

Robert could sense this. "If anything happens with our boy they'll let us know. I promise you that. Let me take care of his mummy for him."

Holly smiled and nodded. "Okay."

She was taken to a room with Robert never leaving her side. Holly was dehydrated so they hooked an IV up to her to give her fluids. She hated this though, she wanted to be near Ethan.

Robert sat in the chair next to her after the tech took blood from Holly. He took her hands in his, kissing it tenderly. "I'm so glad I found you."

Holly looked at him and nodded. "I knew you would, once I knew you knew I just knew you would save me."

"Truthfully you have been the only thing on my mind since May. Wondering if you were okay. When Ethan called I was so angry with myself." Robert told her.

"We agreed to let each other go, Robert you couldn't have known." Holly told him softly, touching his face with her other hand.

"Damn it Holly, I can never let you go. Even both times I have thought I lost you I couldn't, I went on living but it didn't mean as much." Robert kissed her hand again.

"You know you told me that in the sauna years ago. Almost those exact words. I knew you meant it." Holly stroked his cheek.

"I have never meant anything more. I love you, I love you in a way that I can never love anyone else. I'm in love with you." Robert told Holly, he was listening to Ethan's advice. He wasn't going to let her get away.

Holly looked at him lovingly, still stroking his cheek. "I meant what I said, I'm still hugely in love with you. What kept me going was memories of our life together. I may have woke up in hell but when I slept it was heaven."

Robert started to dig in his pants pocket.

"What are you digging for?" Holly asked him.

"This." Robert pulled out Holly's ring. "Ethan gave me some good advice about it. Advice that I am taking because we have to quit running from each other, we have to realize we are in this together. In my heart you have never stopped being my wife."

Holly's eyes filled with tears, she loved that ring and everything it represented. "You have always been my husband, my one and only."

Robert kissed her hand before sliding the ring on her finger, them both looking into each others eyes like they had 40 years forty years ago. Robert leaned in and captured her lips.

As scared and worried about Ethan as Holly was she couldn't help but feel happy that this was right, finally and hopefully for good. She wrapped her arms around him staying in their kiss until the heard a knock on the door.

"Your son is out of the OR." The nurse told Robert and Holly.
