Robert and Holly arrived at the hospital, making their way up to Ethan's room. He appeared to be asleep with Annie asleep nearby.

"Brings back memories." Holly smiled, thinking of when Robert was in his coma, she was so scared, thinking she would never get to look in those blue eyes again. Now that she knew the outcome it was easier to think back and remember that time.

Robert placed his arms around Holly from behind. "A good woman like that is hard to find. I'm lucky to have one of the best." Robert placed a kiss on her neck.

Ethan opened his eyes, hearing their voices. "Get a room!" He teased, sitting up in the bed. He was really happy to see them so happy and to know he playrd a part in it.

"You heard the man." Robert joked.

Holly playfully swatted his arm. "Robert!" She laughed, walking over to Ethan. "How are you feeling?" She asked him.

"Better." Ethan smiled, he wouldn't lie and say yesterday wasn't an ordeal but he had his mother back, Annie was in his life again and he now had a daughter.

Robert closed the door to the hospital room, wanting to make sure they had privacy.

"Is everything okay?" Ethan asked, looking at his mother to make sure she was alright.

"Yes, I'm really happy and healthy." Holly smiled warmly at her son.

"Yes everything is great." Robert took a seat nearby.

"What's going on?" Ethan was relieved nothing was wrong but still curious.

"There's no easy way to really tell you this..." Holly started, pausing for a moment. Robert gave her hand a squeeze as she continued. "Diane wasn't who she claimed she was."

Ethan was confused. "Why did that cause her to shoot me?"

"She is a Cassadine..." Holly stated.

Ethan interrupted. "This is because of the feud with dad?"

"Yes but there's more to it." Holly had Ethan scoot a little so she could sit next to him. "The Cassadines implanted memories in my mind whilst I was in a coma. Memories of an affair I never had..." Holly told him, looking into his eyes to make sure he was okay.

Ethan was trying to process the news he had been told. "An affair you never had?"

Holly held Ethan's hand. "That's right they also blocked out memories of my last anniversary before the coma with Robert."

Ethan looked at Robert then Holly again. "I'm not Luke's?" He asked, feeling like part of his identity was being ripped away.

Robert stood up, taking his other hand. "Biology doesn't take that from you. He loved you."

Ethan looked at Robert. "I loved him, I also love you. I realize the two of you were victimized in this as much as I was. I just don't understand why." Ethan looked down, he felt defeated.

Robert felt awful, his son was hurting because of this vendetta that The Cassadines had against him. "It was to seek revenge on me. They targeted your mother and then stole you from us." Robert felt like the wind had been kicked out of him.

"But none of that matters because we found each other and we all love each other despite what she tried to do to us. We are stronger than her or them and we won't let them destroy us." Holly wanted to try to lift her guys' spirits. She knew they both needed it.

Ethan nodded. "You are right. I won't let them destroy me. I've got too much to live for." Ethan grinned thinking of his little girl he would be meeting soon. "I would tell you I want to get to know you as my father but I already know you as that. The times you've dropped everything to help my mother with me, the fact you were going to give up everything in May for me and how you've been with us trying to find mother. You never let me beat up on myself."

"You kept me motivated too, we make a great team." Robert couldn't help but smile, knowing he had already made such an impact in his son's life.

"What you told me when I asked about Luke after being shot. Thank you for that. I know you already knew but you knew what I needed to hear." Ethan put out one of his arms out to hug Robert.

Robert gave his son a hug. "What you need always come first, the same goes for your mother, your sister and all my grandchildren. Even before I knew you were mine biologically I always thought of you as mine."

"I always thought of you as a father too." Ethan looked over at Holly. "Are you alright?" He asked her.

Holly had tears coming out of her eyes as she watched the two of them. What Diane thought she had stole from them was not the case. The love was always there and no one could have ever touched that. "I just love seeing you two together. You know Robert always wanted a big bouncing baby boy. Someone he could name Mortimer." Holly teased Robert.

"Mortimer? You won't be offended if I stick with Ethan, right?" Ethan joined in.

"No, besides I think your mother would have convinced me to choose a different name at least for the first." Robert smiled at Holly.

"I would have tried." Holly laughed.

Just then there was a knock on the door.
