Sitting in the car Robert looked over at Holly. "What do you want to get to eat?" Robert asked Holly, starting to drive the car.
"A burger and onion rings again from Kelly's sounds lovely." Holly's face lit up, she knew she could have anything but she just wanted something simple.
"You know you are turning out to be a cheap date." Robert quipped as he kept his eyes on the road.
Holly's mouth dropped open. "I beg your pardon!"
Robert laughed, he knew she was going to reply that way. "An adorable, cheap date."
Holly shook her head. "You are so lucky I love you."
Robert took one hand off the wheel, placing it in hers.
The two went to Kelly's to get dinner then back to the Metro Court.
Metro Court, Robert and Holly's hotel room
"I'll get the food set out and the movie set up, you go get comfortable." Robert suggested to Holly. He placed the bags down on the coffee table while Holly went into the other room.
Holly got out the pajamas Robert had let her wear before and changed into them. They still felt incredibly comfortable. She brushed her hair before going back out into the living room. "These still feel so heavenly."
"I never make them look as good." Robert took all her beauty in. This still didn't feel real.
"Somehow I think I would disagree." Holly took a seat on the couch.
Robert took the jacket to his suit off. "I know we have food to eat but I went ahead and popped some popcorn too, feel free to steal it." He gave her a grin. He went into the other room and got the bowl.
Holly laughed. "I feel kind of like we are recreating the night we first kissed. Me in night clothes, you in your work clothes, popcorn. If only we had the stairs for me to walk down."
Robert laughed, he loved remembering that time of their life. "You took my breath away every time you did."
Holly waved her hand, blushing. She patted the seat next to her.
Robert sat down next to her. "I also go us some champagne, want me to open it?" He asked with a gleam in his eye.
"Um no, I've got it." Holly smiled while opening the champagne for them.
"I suppose you will always feel the same way as I feel with you in bathtubs." Robert joked while he grabbed their glasses.
"I think that was a lovely homecoming, Once we got those clothes off of you. You did tell me to wait until you got your hands on me...you didn't disappoint even if I was impatient." Holly's eyes sparkled at him, remembering that time. How happy they were to be reunited.
"It was a good homecoming, I wouldn't change a thing about it." Robert took the bottle after she opened it and poured their glasses.
"I really do love being home, home has always been where you are." Holly spoke truthfully before taking a drink of her champagne.
"I know the feeling, I always feel like I'm just floating along. I keep telling you this but it really is so pointless without you." Robert said, taking Holly's hand into his and kissing it.
Holly sat her glass down then stroked his cheek. "I love you so much."
"I love you too, Luv." Robert gave her a quick kiss. He picked up the remote. "Oh guess what? No commercials this time."
"So as the DA you were able to solve that problem finally?" Holly joked.
"What can I say, I'm that good." Robert replied, hitting play.
The two of them ate their dinner while watching the movie, just enjoying each other's company once again. Robert hit the button to turn off the TV. "Still enjoyed it."
"I think the company always helps." Holly smiled up at him, she was in his arms, he held her throughout the movie.
"I don't even watch it without you. I can't. I remember in 87 when I thought I lost you it came on in the middle of the night. I just wanted to die. I could remember everything about you, the parts when you were so into it, when you would say the lines with it like you did tonight." Robert felt some sadness reliving those memories but at the same time was grateful she was there in front of him.
"I felt the same way about Charlie Chan movies. I would want to watch them because I wanted to remember you but it hurt, I would remember you holding me. You telling me you would love me forever and ever. Some other memories that I am sure you remember quite well too." Holly's eye were bright as she grinned at Robert.
Robert smirked, he knew exactly what she was talking about. "I remember everything. Even that first time in 2012 once I found out what we thought was the truth about Ethan, I didn't get why you wouldn't let me make love to you until then."
Holly gave a nod. "I couldn't do that with a secret between you. I wanted to, I really wanted to, but honesty has always been a key in our relationship."
Robert kissed her hand. "I love you, I love that about you. I've not had that with any other woman."
"Can't say I have with any other man either." Holly replied. "I guess that house wasn't in the cards for us either." Holly wasn't trying to be sad but she remembered all these dreams, a lot came true but a lot never had a chance.
Robert lifted her chin. "Maybe not that house but there is a house I have been thinking about a lot lately."
Holly knew exactly what he was talking about, the townhouse. "I think of it often too."
"Almost as often as I think of you." Robert leaned in and kissed her, slowly at first but then deeper and more passionately.
Holly fell into the kiss, just loving every moment. Unlike the first time they had kissed she felt no guilt. When they parted they looked into each others eyes. She knew originally Robert was going in for that second kiss but this time would be different, Holly leaned in capturing his lips once again.
Robert's arms wrapped around her tight, he loved the fact that she was taking control. He never wanted this kiss to end.
Holly smiled as he kissed her chin and cheek once they had stopped. Her hands started to undo the buttons of his shirt.
Robert began to work on hers. "Maybe we should move into our room?" He asked wanting to make sure she was comfortable.
"I think this couch is perfectly fine." Holly had a gleam in her eyes, leaning down to kiss his chest, her hands pushing his shirt off.
Robert leaned back on the couch, pulling Holly with him.
Holly straddled him, looking down into his eyes.
He pushed off his pajamas shirt she was wearing, his hands roaming her body, cupping her breasts.
Holly let out a soft moan, leaning down to capture his lips once again.
The two of them shed the rest of their clothes, wanting to be with each other again badly.
"Are you sure this is okay?" Robert asked Holly, he wasn't sure if she would live to regret making love on the couch. It wasn't horribly uncomfortable but there wasn't a lot of room.
"Is it okay for you?" Holly asked him, looking down into his blue eyes. Maybe he was trying to tell her something.
"I can't say I've ever done it...on this couch that is." Robert quickly corrected himself.
Holly couldn't help but chuckle "Darling I know you've had a lot of experiences on couches, especially with me. Want to experience a new one?" She asked with that sparkle in her eyes.
"Oh do I ever." Robert pull her down, kissing her deeply, he slid into her and thrusted upward, his hands moving to her hips. The two made slow, passionate love most of the night. Neither wanting it to end but at some point they found themselves fast asleep with a blanket over them and smiles on their faces.
The next morning there was a knocking on the door. Holly bolted up, a little frightened but able to keep her calm. She shook Robert gently. "Someone is at the door." Holly quickly put on Robert pajama top, buttoning it so fast she didn't realize she had messed up.
Robert quickly threw his clothes back on before going over to the door, he looked back to make sure Holly was decent before he opened it.
