After spending a while at the hospital with Ethan, Annie, Tiffany and Seana, Robert and Holly headed to the PCPD. Mac had called them and told them that Diane was insisting on talking to Robert. Robert couldn't pass up the chance to let her know exactly what he thought of her.
"You know after this we really need to stop jumping when Diane wants attention." Holly didn't mean to sound as annoyed as she did but she was. Not at Robert, she knew he needed to confront her, he deserved that but she just was still reeling from this woman messing with their lives for nearly forty years.
"After this we won't. I just have to have this out. I need her to know she isn't winning this time." Robert took Holly's hand in his as his eyes stayed on the road. He didn't want to give Diane any power over them but he had words to say to her, words he needed to get out.
Holly nodded, she completely got it. That's why she had talked to her the day before. She needed her to know she hadn't won. She had just wasted her life. "I get it. Completely." She told him.
"Thank you. You know I'm really happy, happier than I have been in a very long time." Robert's face lit up, the big smile of his just radiating exactly what he was feeling inside. So much love for Holly, for their life.
Holly beamed as she looked at his face, she loved everything about that look. She also was so happy she was a big reason he had it. "I am too. I get to legally be Mrs. Robert Scorpio again and we have spent the last two night..."
Robert cut her off, blushing a bit. "Holly I know it's just us but I know what we've been doing." He gave her a grin, memories of the past couple of nights playing in his head.
"I was going to say in each others arms but I can't say I haven't enjoyed the physical activity that came along with it." Holly's grin was infectious. Her eyes still beaming, he knew she was reliving those memories too.
Robert looked back at the road. "Oh I've loved it, every inch of you. I am not sure how we managed to make it even better but we did." Robert was completely in love, as much as he loved making love to her their connection is what was the key to their relationship.
"It's because everything we've gone through, all the obstacles and we still love each other. We finally get to be in love and make love without anything over our heads." Holly pulled his hand up to her mouth and place a kiss on it. She was so happy the two could finally be them again and not have to worry about the roadblocks or at least that roadblock. She was confident they could get through anything.
Robert pulled into the PCPD parking lot and parked the car. He turned to face her, kissing her hand. "I want you to always know how important you were to me, you still are. When I said you were the one thing that I loved more than life itself in 1992 I meant it. Whenever I was away from home I was counting the seconds until I was back home with you, feeling you in my arms."
The love in Holly's eyes was so evident. "You know I'm crazy about you, I will never know how not to be." She leaned in and captured his lips, her arms wrapped around him.
Robert's arms snaked around her, wanting to hold her and kiss her as long as he could, He deepened their kiss while pulling her close to him.
After a few minutes Holly knew they needed to get this done, she reluctantly broke their kiss. She looked deep into his eyes. "Let's get this over with."
Robert nodded. He got out of the car and met Holly in front of it, walking into the police station together.
"Robert, Holly. Diane's in there." Dante pointed to the interrogation room.
"Thank you." Robert looked at Holly giving her another kiss. "I'll make this as quick as I can." Robert turned to go into the room. He was greeted by the woman he thought was a friend, the woman who had been following him around for months, this Cassdine.
"There you are." Robert was greeted by Diane's wicked grin.
