Robert felt his heart in his throat as he exited the PCPD, look around for Holly. He wasn't sure what direction to go in when he heard the most beautiful voice speak to him from the bench behind him.

"Robert? I got you and I both a couple of hot dogs, I don't know about you but I was a bit peckish. I saw the food truck when we walked in." Holly could see the worry on his face, the last thing she meant to do. She genuinely just wanted a snack and fresh air.

Robert sat down next to her, relieve she was okay. "I thought Diane upset you, I was worried you were trying to protect me again." Robert studied her face, trying to read her.

Holly was quiet, thinking about what she had heard and what some people in the town thought of her. Could she ever repair her reputation? Probably not but the bigger issue was bringing Robert down with her. She couldn't stand the thought but she was conflicted because all she wanted was to be with him.

"Holly?" Robert could tell she was thinking exactly that. He silently cursed at himself for bringing it up but at the same time knew it had to be dealt with.

Holly felt conflicted, she wanted to protect Robert but was she really protecting him letting Diane win? She also knew Ethan would be so disappointed on top of the fact that Robert and her would be miserable. "I won't say I didn't consider that but I was an ex con when you first married me. Not everyone in this town sees me as a bad person."

"Very few do." Robert wanted to make sure she knew that. He knew that a lot of this town still respected and loved her. He knew that from everyone coming up to them at Kelly's to greet hear, no one had a hateful thing to say to her. "You remember last fall? Everyone was so happy to see you."

Holly's face lit up, she remembered how Robert seemed to get a little restless having to share her all the time but he was a good sport. "Yes I remember that fondly. I refuse to let her have any power over me." Holly sat the container the hot dogs were in on her lap as she reach over for his hand. "Part of me jumped at wanting to protect you but what good is it doing if we are torn apart and unhappy?"

"Miserable, that's what we would both be." Robert pulled her hand to his lips, kissing it tenderly. He was happy she wasn't going to run, wasn't going to let anything come between them. "We can do anything as long as we are together." Robert knew she knew that deep down inside of herself.

Holly's eyes sparkled as she looked at him lovingly. This is how is always should have been. "I know that, more than anything. There's nothing we can't get through well besides my hunger. I think that needs immediate attention." She joked as she turned her attention back to the hot dogs, getting hers ready for her to eat.

Robert laughed and shook his head. "You know this is another thing that has never changed."

"Me being hungry? I do that quite often." Holly couldn't help but tease him as she gave him his hot dog.

"Very funny." Robert's smile lit up his whole face as he took the hot dog from her. "Thank you." He opened it up and saw the onions on it. "Ahh you remembered." He went ahead and took a bite.

"Of course, you aren't the only one who remembers everything about the love of their life." Holly felt so completely happy. She was glad she didn't just shut down and try to save Robert, usually that's where her heart went. Him and Ethan were the two most important people in the world to her along with Robin and her kids. Now she added Seana to the list. There was nothing she wouldn't give to try to protect them.

The two finished up their hot dogs, enjoying each other's company as they sat outside of the PCPD.

"You know when we get back home we should call Celia and Grant, we could have dinner with them and grab something for Ethan, Seana, Annie and Tiffany afterwards." Holly wanted to spend time with two of hers and Robert's closest friends but also wanted to take care of Ethan.

"I think that sounds great, you about ready to head back?" Robert asked her, he threw their trash away then put his hand out for hers.

Holly took his hand and grinned. "Yes, let's get out of here and go home." She gave him a quick kiss before walking back towards the car with him.
