The next morning an exhausted Robert opened his eyes, looking over at his alarm clock. 10am, he closed his eyes then realized he had just read 10am. "10?" He rolled over in the bed, hoping to find Holly fast asleep next to him. Instead he found an empty space where she had once slept. He hated waking up without her, he started to get out of the bed when he saw a flower and a note at the bottom of it.
"Good morning my darling. Breakfast, brunch, whatever you want to call it awaits as do I."
Robert couldn't help but smile. He sat the note and the flower back on the bed then grabbed his robe to throw on. He walked out of the bedroom to find Holly in his pajama top looking at his tablet.
He caught her eye immediately, a warm smile appearing on her face as she sat the tablet down. "Good morning, I was starting to think we wouldn't be eating until dinner." She teased him. This felt so right, like it always should have been.
Robert chuckled, he walked over and placed a few kisses on her head before her lips. "You were something else last night."
"Aren't I always." Holly smirked, she stood up and went over to the couch. "I had them fix us up a lovely brunch. I knew after last night you needed your energy."
Robert couldn't help but laugh, it felt so good to have Holly joking, happy and just who she was without the Cassadines tormenting her once again. It felt right. He wanted to give her this life and now they were going to have it together. "Sounds like you have plans for today." He sat down on the couch and pulled her over to him.
Holly's face lit up, looking over at the man she had loved more than life itself for most of her life. "Not only do I, you do too." She kissed him then looked into his eyes. "Unless you have something better to do."
Robert looked into her eyes, a grin on his face at the replies he could have to that but he decided to behave for now. "There is nothing else I would rather do than spend my day with the most beautiful woman I know." He kissed her neck.
Holly smiled sweetly at him, impressed he didn't take the bait. "I want to make up what we can. We can spend the rest of our lives just being happy, being in love." She kissed him deeply, wrapping her arms around him tightly.
Robert's arms went around her waist, right where they belonged. He never wanted this kiss to end, then again he never wanted any of them to end. He placed little kisses on her chin and along her jawline.
Holly's face lit up. "We need to eat." She whispered to him, kissing his neck. She didn't want them to stop.
Robert grinned, she was saying one thing but doing another. He kissed her head. "We will pick this up afterwards, I plan on spending the day ravishing you." He winked at her. He didn't want to let her go, he actually hated the thought but he knew she wasn't going anywhere.
Holly pulled up the lids on their trays. "Look at that." Holly sat the lids down, she reached over to grab the silverware. She gave Robert his. The two of them ate their food, at times feeding each other. Just enjoying each others company. They wanted this all those years ago.
Once they had finished up Holly moved the plates away, covering them back up. "There now we have our energy back."
Robert looked at the sight in front of him, a smiling Holly in his shirt. This was perfect, she was perfect. He put his arms around her.
Holly leaned into his embrace, the smile growing on her face. She rested her head against his chest. "Want to watch a Charlie Chan movie?" She asked him.
Robert had a sparkle in his eye, she knew he loved those movies. He hugged her tightly, the excitement noticeable in his voice. "I would love that. It's been a while."
Robert and Holly turned on a movie and just spent the next hour or two holding each other and enjoying the movie. Robert talking along with it. Holly's face lighting up at how crazy he was but she wouldn't change a thing about him.
When it ended Robert noticed Holly had dozed off on his chest, he didn't want to move. This was so perfect. He kissed her head, hearing his phone go off. He answered it quietly. "Scorpio?"
