66. Porcelain Skin

Somin, Mia and Teho

When she glanced around the room in need to divert her attention, she almost fell back from the chair. There he was, unbothered as ever.

Cholsu.

Sitting at a faraway table, back turned to Somin, was the dreaded man. She recognized him immediately. They had been together for three long years, but it subjectively felt like it had to be more. Somin felt like she aged a decade with him by the way he wore her down so relentlessly.

She knew the precise color of his hair, honey brown which went so amazingly with his porcelain skin, not dyed to another shade yet apparently. He maintained his typical arrogant posture that she could still draw in her sleep—sitting straight as a ruler, head high, hands folded in front of him.

I'm sure his expression would be smug contempt.

His color scheme she knew by heart, fall-themed as always. Marble white neck and skin visible in some kind of effortlessly opened shirt.

Fuck.

Why did I pay so much attention to his details?

Because you were madly in love with him, dummy.

...

Her own skin turned sickly white, throwing a quick glance at Mia, already ignored by the always busy boy. "He's here, I have to go. Please give me a key from the room," Somin whispered, scared.

Teho went still. "Who is HE?"

Somin ignored him.

"Are you ok, you look sick," Mia said worriedly. "I'm gonna go with you, I'm tired anyway," Mia kissed Teho once more on the forehead.

That's so weird, forehead really.

Somin commented to herself and they headed back upstairs.
