"The fallen leaves tell a story. The great Elden Ring was shattered," flashes of a fight go off with two beings facing one another. "In our home, across the fog, the lands Between," A golden bolt is shot out from the taller of the two the blast illuminates them. " Now Queen Marika the Eternal is nowhere to be found, "A giant of a man with red hair stands with his cracked pale skin giving off a golden glow. " in the Night of the Black Knives, Godwyn the Golden was first to perish. Soon, Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden ring." The glow deepens in his chest as he charges another bolt in his hand. "The mad taint of their newfound strength triggered the Shattering. A war from which no lord arose." As he fires at his opponent we catch a glimpse of a dark armored man (with a hood covering his face) dodging his attack and slamming a blasphemous sword into the ground forcing lava to rise towards his opponent. " A war leading to abandonment by the Greater Will." Laying defeated from that final attack a hand reached from the faded shadows of his Golden Glow. Pulling the body into the shadows a beast appeared a blob of golden stars arose roaring in challenge to the Dark Knight. Tossing his sword aside(evaporating as it moves further away); he pulls out a colossal sword with a cracked black blade that radiates death. Giving out a roar that drove himself mad he ran toward his opponent without regard. " Arise now, ye Tarnished. Ye dead who yet live. The call of long-lost grace speaks to us all." Light and Darkness collide creating red and golden lightning. Beast and man fought with no regard for one's own life with a final flurry of blades they fell. "Horah Loux, chieftan of the badlands. The ever-brilliant Goldmask. Fia, the Deathbed Companion. The loathsome Dung eater. And Sir Gideon Ofnir the All-Knowing... And one other. Whom grace would again bless." Pulling himself up using his sword as a crutch the Dark Knight reached toward the sky, but it was for naught as the beast appeared behind him. Lifting him up in his Skelton-like hands. Stabbing his blade into the ground he places him against the guard of the holy blade. Stabbing his hands and feet with shards of light into it he lay crucified. With a swish of his body, disappears leaving a man behind as the world fades away. " A tarnished of no renown. Cross the fog into the Land Between. To stand before the Elden Ring. And become the Elden Lord."
A gentle pit patter of hooves in water echoes in a cavern. " Don't worry Torrent. He is fortunate we found him. After all one of his kind is sure to seek the Elden Ring even if it does violate the Golden Order." One last huff was given off. Echoing off the walls, they walked away with only the echoes of her words left behind.
A gentle slosh of water washed away the dried blood that covered him. The sins of the battle were forgiven, as he regained concessions. Our hero awakens.
(Will now be in first person)
"Melina...Hewig I failed" I wailed. My fist pounded the ground a loud slosh from the impact drew my attention. Looking around I noticed I was in a cave with a familiar door standing beside a small golden tree. I was drawn to it passing the forgotten graves and the echo of a man who never escaped this accursed place. Walking through the door I see the familiar grey walls of my past, and as I reach the elevator I know that leads to my last exit from this place; I can't help but think of my last battle.
My weapons were destroyed not even the handle was left, my arm was tattered the only surviving piece was the cloth that wrapped around my now nude body. Resting beside the exit of this place was a club. Lifting the ancient limb I gave it a practice swing. While not as satisfying as my weapons of old it will do for now. I looked back at the massive door that lay in front of me. I used all of my remaining strength to push it open leading to a massive golden tree that lay in the distance.
"Oh yes...Tarnished, are we? Come to the Lands Between for the Elden Ring, hmm? Of course, you have. No shame in it." Spoke a man covered in white with bits of red splashed around his body in no rhyme or reason "Unfortunately for you, however, you are maidenless."He finished with a snobbish voice filled with false sympathy.
Gripping my hand in anger I glared at Varre. Remembering everything he has implied he has done and what has passed for sure. I continued to stay in silence as he stared at me behind his eyeless mask.
