Hello, everyone! This is a story I've been planning since 2016 but never got around to it. It was originally going to be a sequel to Marvel/DC: Event. Originally, this sequel was gonna have pre-timeskip Straw Hats meeting with Marvel and DC characters. However, the Marvel/DC: Event fic never got finished and I have a lot of things in life that just keep coming up. Honestly, I wish I could just write and not worry about real life lol.
A big change was that this sequel was gonna be intertwined with stories like "Suite Life of Luffy" and a few x-overs such as a Scooby doo x-over with Ussop and Chopper and so on. But I decided against that story only because I couldn't develop a plot for that except for "Suite Life of Luffy". Basically, OP characters were gonna travel around different universes and be separate for a while until they meet back and travel to the universe the marvel/dc characters are at.
So, now this storyline got changed to just three universes: One Piece, Marvel, and DC.
Basically, I'm only doing this because there's a lack of Marvel/One Piece x-overs that isn't MCU-related, and sometimes if it isn't MCU related (say crossovers with X-Men, the stories aren't finished). We have some, but they're still continuing, and I want to add more content to that.
Same thing with One Piece/DC x-over fics, although that is changing.
Prologue...
"Gentlemen, we have a problem," the Atlantan Prince of the sea, Namor announces to his fellow teammates known as the Illuminati.
In this group, there is Black Bolt, king of the Inhumans. Reed Richards, also known as, Mr. Fantastic of Fantastic Four. Professor Charles Xavier, also known as, Professor X of the X-Men.
The others are Black Panther, king of Wakanda, Captain America, Iron Man, and Doctor Strange.
"If it's another Skrull invasion, we're announcing to everyone in the Avengers, X-Men, and so on, not just in this meeting," Tony blurts out.
The other heroes just stare at him and back at Namor.
Namor blinked and then just ignored what Stark was saying. "As I was saying, and no it doesn't have anything to do with Skrulls... though I'd wish it was."
"Why?" Steve asks.
"Because during my rule in Atlantis, several of my men discovered this." He places an item on the table and it is rather a quite weird-looking object.
"Is that a snail?" Charles, T'Challa, Tony, Steve, and Strange asked simultaneously.
Black Bolt looked at the snail incredulously. Whatever Namor was going to present about this snail is either going to be so ludicrous and bizarre or something quite fascinating. He'd only wish any other Inhuman, Eternal, Mutant, and so on could see this thing.
"Well, at first that's what I thought it was until my men pointed out that it wasn't exactly a snail and what's worse is what they told me where they found it," Namor explains.
Namor continued, "It came from the sky." This scared some of the men. "My men witnessed it falling from the sky and into the sea."
"Is it a powerful object?" T'Challa asks.
"No idea, however, it was doing a certain thing... a noise if you can call it that," Namor added.
"And the noise being?" This time Charles asked the question.
"I think you're about to find out," Namor pointed at the snail.
"Purpurpurpurpurpur" The snail made the strange noise that Namor was just talking about.
All the men who thought it was some dangerous weapon jolted a bit and took a stance. However, Captain America decided to inspect the item a little closer and touched it.
"Cap, don't touch- and he touched it," Tony facepalmed.
"Gacha." The snail stopped the noise.
"A weird snail," Steve commented, thinking about possibilities as to what this object is.
"Weird snail, indeed," Reed said as he put his hand on his chin, hoping to study this snail more. Tony did the same thing.
"Are you sure that this is a dangerous item?" Xavier asked all the men in the room.
"Maybe, we assumed the worst," T'Challa pointed out.
"I'll take a look at it," Reed and Tony simultaneously said and looked at each other weirdly.
"Ok, looks like we're going to compete on who wants to take a look at the snail. I might suggest Xavier could read its mind," Dr. Strange suggests.
"Well, are we all in agreement?" Xavier asks all the men who all voted 'yes' unanimously.
Xavier nodded and started to read the snail's mind. However, his face said it all as he kept trying to read its mind.
"Hm, this is rather odd," Xavier started.
"What?" Reed asked.
"It appears this snail is also telepathic, but also not entirely telepathic. More like something to send telepathic waves. For what I don't know," Xavier explained.
"Well, if it's a new enemy on the rise, we got to be prepared for it," Tony points out.
"Perhaps it is best we all analyze this snail with the best technology we all have," Black Bolt's thoughts are sent throughout the men's minds with Xavier's telepathic power.
"You mean like take turns in the analysis, so that way we can verify we all have similar conclusions. Or finding anything destructive?" T'Challa asks eagerly and concerned at the same time.
Black Bolt nodded at this; however, he noticed something peculiar about the snail. He pointed at the snail and reached over to point out the cord that was sticking out of it.
"Is that a phone cord?" Reed asks now even more intrigued.
"It's a communication device," Tony points out while also being intrigued like Reed.
"Perhaps I should take to Wakanda to analyze this communication device of some sort and see what conclusions I can arrive at from it," T'Challa suggests.
"Indeed, that probably would be the best. First T'Challa, next is Reed, then Tony, and lastly Xavier with his X-Men," Namor also suggests.
"What about Black Bolt's scientists in New Attilan?" Tony asks.
"And Strange?" Xavier also asks.
"Hm, since the device isn't magic, I don't think I can analyze as well as our fellow scientists in this meeting," Strange said.
"After Xavier takes it, Hank McCoy, it'll be in New Attlilan anyway since Hank resides there, so it'll be a win for both of us," Black Bolt's thoughts said to the men's minds.
"Very well, gentlemen. I call this meeting adjourned," Steve said.
The men got up and resumed the promise of analyzing the weird snail device. What awaited them however was a journey to a world unlike any other.
In a different universe and in a certain Watchtower where the world's greatest superheroes reside for their annual meeting, the Justice League (mainly the big seven) come together to discuss any issues or problems and so on in order for them to be solved.
Right now, the members in this meeting are:
The Man of Steel, Superman.
The Dark Knight Detective, Batman.
Wonder Woman, Amazon Princess of Themysrica.
The Flash, Fastest Man Alive.
Green Lantern, Intergalactic Enforcement Officer.
J'onn Jones, the Martian Manhunter.
And lastly, Aquaman, king of Atlantis.
"Nice to see all of you. As usual per these meetings, we all give an update on what's happening in the world and foresee any new dangers coming," Superman starts.
"Anyone wants to start," Superman says to his fellow team members.
"Gotham is as usual swallowing itself whole with criminals on the rise. I've been taking care of it along with my partners; however, I am noticing certain disturbances with people describing something odd," Batman reported.
"And this odd thing is?" Superman asked.
"I've yet to investigate it, but Nightwing is on it, and I'll await his findings," Batman replies.
"Ok, anyone else?" Superman asks his teammates.
"Central City hasn't had anything new. Usually, stuff with the Rogues every now and then is just the only things that occur. Luckily, I'm there to stop them," Flash reports.
"Coast City has been protected and safe so far. As a matter of fact, in space, I've only been dealing with typical criminals you'd usually see on Earth. No Sinestro, Red Lanterns, and so on have been spotted or have become a threat to the universe as of yet, but I expect them to come," Green Lantern also reported.
"I've been maintaining Watchtower duty and haven't seen any threats alerted," J'onn reported firmly.
Superman nodded at the reports from his teammates. The only ones left are Wonder Woman and Aquaman.
"I have nothing to report as for whatever reason no enemy has shown themselves as of yet to be any serious threat," Wonder Woman reported.
"Ok, and that only leaves you now, Aquaman." Superman said.
Aquaman sighed and explains, "I think something is going to happen, badly. Not only for Atlantis but also for the entire world as well."
The rest of the League got concerned.
"How badly are we talking, Arthur?" Batman asked.
"Perhaps, it is best I show you," Aquaman places an object on the table, and it was an amusing object to look out. The rest of League simply raised its eyebrows.
Hal Jordan couldn't help but laugh at the thing Arthur just put on the table, "Pfft... hahahaha! Arthur, it's just a snail."
Aquaman and Batman glared at Hal, but he continued laughing. The rest of the League, however, wanted some answers as to what Arthur was presenting.
"This is an interesting snail?" Superman raised his eyebrow. "Can you tell us anything about it?"
"Aqualad and Tempest were on patrol until they noticed that snail and informed me of it. They told me that it came from the sky," Aquaman explained.
"The sky?" Wonder Woman questioned.
"We are talking from heights that Superman and any League member can fly up to. Heights that no normal criminal could've dropped that snail in the ocean. Now I do not know if this new enemy is intending on destroying Atlantis or the world or whatever it may be. It is best we investigate and analyze where this snail came from and why. We could be facing a new threat as we speak," Arthur explains.
"And how do you know it came from the sky and not someone who just throws stuff really, really far away like me?" Superman asked.
"From what Aqualad and Tempest told me. The height and direction they saw the snail fall couldn't have been from someone who could throw like you, Superman, my Atlantean scientists tested it for fingerprints, and none whatsoever showed up," Aquaman explains.
"However, they could not find out what exactly this snail does or its purpose," Arthur added.
"I highly doubt this thing could be a weapon, let alone have a purpose," Hal remarked.
"Well, whatever, we ought to be prepared for what's coming next," Batman said.
"Batman is correct if this new enemy we are to face is powerful, they might be capable of magic or something much worse," Diana added.
"That's the weird thing about this snail, Diana. It isn't a magical object," said Arthur.
"Not a magical object?" Flash repeated just getting more confused by the second.
"Have you confirmed it with Doctor Fate?" J'onn asked.
Arthur nodded and said, "I did; however, he could not pinpoint where it came from. For whatever reason, something is blocking the detection of where this came from."
"Then our enemy must be someone from across the Multiverse," Diana deduced.
Arthur nodded again and said "Most likely, yes. After all the multiverse is hectic, to say the least."
"Yeah, no kidding. Last time, we dealt with any multiverse crap almost all of us nearly died or just kept seeing weird stuff," Hal remarked.
"He's not wrong," J'onn whispered to Diana who nodded in agreement.
"If it's anything crazy like the multiverse, let's hope our newcomers don't overstay their welcome," Superman said while crossing his arms.
"I have another suggestion and I'm sure all of you would agree with me on this. Why don't we have J'onn read the snail's mind or have Green Lantern use his ring to scan where it comes from," Batman suggests as the others agree to this.
Superman gestures for J'onn to read the mind of the snail. J'onn proceeds as such and is a bit astonished.
"The snail is telepathic," he says to the league.
Everyone has shocked facial reactions, although Batman's and Superman's are the sternest of them.
"Do you want to take care of it, Hal?" Batman asked.
"Uh, sure..." Hal said hesitantly. However, as he got up the snail vanishes in a bright, white light blinding everyone except for Superman, who tried to see through it, only for him and the rest of the Justice League to vanish as well.
Now, where could they possibly have gone?
