Chapter One: Leaving the land of Wano…
Disclaimer: I don't own anything obviously. I just own the story idea.
A.N: Yo yo everyone! So this is something special I've been working on in secret and yes, I know I said the next fic was gonna be the spidey one but I've just had a One piece on the mind and I had to get this out here, I also wanted try my version of clichés that had been done before. The spidey fic should be out in the next couple of days and then it's back to nothing but updates (Yes that means House Sauron.) I also have a surprise waiting for ya'll around Halloween.
I want to thank my boys Gatt and Issexwithyourcloneincest, they were massive help and helped me improve the fic. Oh what did everyone think of The Live Action One Piece? I personally really enjoyed watching with my old man , it wasn't perfect but I'll give it a solid 8/10. Very excited for season 2. I would also like to say I was inspired by Fox SB Will of Fire, probs one of my favorite One Piece fics and I love how they handle Naruto and Yamato's relationship.

The sound of traditional rope sandals crunching underneath dirt was the only sound barring nature or rather, what remained of nature in this sad and near barren clearing.
Wano…once a glorious and growing country, now infested with corruption and evil. Its state reflected an unfair punishment on not just the environment but also its people. The current 'Shogun' of Wano was a cruel, perverse monster of a man whose brutality and creative cruelty seemed to know no bounds.
There was very little hope in Wano, and there was very little hope for it as well, especially with the 'Shogun's' dragon keeping his clawed hand wrapped tight around the desperate and dying country's throat.
The Beast Pirates, the current ruler of the country's trump card above all else, even his own unique power paled in comparison to the captain of the titanic-sized crew. With them, he was near invincible…and yet, that didn't stop those who had the will to fight the oppression, to fight against the suffering of their people, to dream of a better and much more beautiful future for their children.
That was the hope of Wano. A light that has dimmed over time but has remained strong even in the darkest of times. The reason for this remaining hope fell down to a simple young man carrying a strong legacy on his shoulders and a promise in his heart.
This brave struggler was Uzumaki Naruto, twenty-four years old. A young man that was strong and decently tall, taller than the average person at least, but even he seemed small compared to some of the monsters that roamed Wano. The 'Shogun's' dragon, Kaido, a beast of man, stood at a menacing height of nearly twenty-five feet tall.
Naruto had seen Kaido twice and fought him once. He was lucky to survive, although he still bore scars from that clash to this day. The difference in their power was obvious, and unfortunately, Wano's current defender had to learn that the hard way. At the moment, he was no match for Kaido.
A cool wind carried by the sea air rustled his spikey blonde locks, and Naruto's peach-coloured skin appreciated the warm glow of the sun that also made his hair shine just that little bit brighter. His orange and slightly worn haori fluttered from the breeze. The inner layer covering his form was a gray kosode that was once too big but now fitted him perfectly. Naruto's pants, or rather, his tattsuke bakama matched his kosode.
Armour could be seen covering his arms as well as his shins, and the armor that couldn't be seen was a thin plating that didn't restrict his movements but still offered protection.
Naruto took a seat on a nearby fallen dead tree and pulled down his red scarf so it was no longer covering his mouth, exposing the six whisker-like marks that he wasn't born with but gained later in his life. Naruto reached inside his kosode to pull out a loaf of three-day-old bread. It was slightly stale and would be gone in less than five bites, but it would do for now.
He reached down for the gourd bottle hanging off his hip. He brought it to his lips, finding relief as the saki washed the stale bread down. He would have preferred water, but finding a fresh source was hard to find these days.
Sealing back up his gourd and making sure it rested securely on his waist, Naruto didn't miss how the landscape had changed and became more green and full of life. With this thought in the back of his mind, he continued onwards towards his destination, Onigashima.
The lair of the king of the beasts, a cursed place he had invaded countless times, but before he made his onward march towards Kaido's hideout, he needed to make a quick stop in a nearby village that was three days' travel from the Flower Capital. There was a reason the blonde wanderer was stopping at this specific village. What was once a beautiful, thriving community was now reduced to a red-light district with nothing but brothels and bars. A place Queen, one of the All-Stars of Kaido's crew, visited quite often.
The streets were empty, which wasn't surprising since the sun was still up and the village thrived at night, but that didn't mean Queen wasn't here. Naruto was able to sense the gargantuan glutton with his kenbunshoku haki.
The silent blonde walked into the establishment with the largest doorway, already hearing the sound of a shamisen and the obnoxious laughter of the pirate, Queen.
"Muhahaha!"
Naruto walked into the dark establishment to see drunk and sleeping pirates from the night before, but Queen? He was wide awake. Sitting in his custom booth, surrounded by women who worked at said establishment or one of the many pleasure houses that littered the streets. His table was filled with empty, knocked-over saki bottles and plates that seemed practically licked clean.
The obese man was an astounding twenty feet tall, with a hunched head that was plump just like the rest of his body. His neck was indistinguishable from his shoulders, and it was not quite as thick and fat as his protruding stomach. He had no eyebrows to speak of, and his eyes were covered by his signature sunglasses with the blue lenses, but instead of using the temples that were on most sets of glasses, he opted for black tapes that went around his head into the form of an 'X' both on his forehead and occiput.
Dressed in his distinct white and black striped high-waisted overalls. The vertical stripes were blaring and noticeable even in the dark.
The matriarch of the establishment tried to approach Naruto, bowing and expressing her curtsy, only to be ignored as the whiskered blonde walked towards Queen, gaining the gluttonous All-Star's attention.
"Hm? Oi, you want something brat? Come to see your favorite entertainer? Get an autograph after an amazing show?!" Queen's head bounced back as he laughed, his entire body shaking as his obnoxious laughter cackled through the room. "Muhahaha! Too bad for you, you already missed my dynamite show, but fortunately for the town of Nanmoku, I have one last show in me for tonight. Try and catch me then if you can."
"I would rather gouge my eyes out than watch a fat fool like you jiggle on a stage for an hour." Queen's blue-painted lips switched from an arrogant and abhorrent smirk to a furious and murderous snarl as his sunglasses-covered eyes glinted ominously. He nearly bit his cigar in half as he shoved the woman currently lounging across his large form aside as he rose to his full terrifying height.
"What did you say, you little shit?"
"I'm here for the key." Naruto stated plainly and clearly. Glaring up at the approaching scientist without a hint of fear.
"Key?" Queen questioned before he once again burst out into laughter as he realized what specifically the red scarf-wearing blonde was talking about. "Ohhh. You're here for that key. I thought you were here for another beating. What? Was the one King and I gave you not enough? Do you want to die that badly?!"
"The difference between that time and now is…" Naruto disappeared from Queen's field of vision. The giant frantically searched for the little bastard who had the gull to bad-mouth Queen of the Beast pirates, only to flinch as he finally heard Naruto behind him. "…I'm no longer a helpless child!"
BANG!
Queen grunted as he was kicked out of his favorite establishment, destroying the entrance as he felt a throbbing pain in his back from Naruto's kick. He bounced across the ground like a large beach ball before twisting mid-air and landing on his feet with a rumble. He growled as he pointed his mechanical arm at the slowly approaching Naruto.
"Don't get cocky just because you landed a lucky hi-Gah?!" Spittle flew from Queen's mouth from the gut-wrenching kick that once again sent him flying back, his blonde fu manchu mustache flapping as he landed on his back and kicked up a patch of dust that blocked him from Naruto's view.
"You've done it now!" Queen roared as he charged out of the smoke, no longer a man but a human-beast hybrid. Even now, when looking like an actual dinosaur, it was easy to recognise the obese All-Star. His blonde braided hair slapped against his back before moving at will, the mechanical hand attached to the locks pointed at Naruto's still form. His tail followed suit, a small beam of light generating inside the darkness."Don't you dare look down on the greatest scientist this world has ever known! Black Coffee!"
Pew!
Pew!
Pew!
Naruto tilted his head to the side, and the first beam missed his cheek by inches. The second missed from him simply turning his shoulder to the side and for the final laser beam? He slapped it away with his arm imbued with Busoshoku Haki simply because he could.
"Ho? So you've grown since our last fight? Don't think that makes you special! Bridal Grapper!" Queen roared as his blonde braided hair moved like it had a mind of its own. The mechanical limb on the end generated an intense flame as it tried to capture the quickly approaching Naruto, only for the shorter, whiskered blonde to flip over the attack, landing quickly and taking hold of Queen's mechanical braided hair while he was vulnerable. Naruto yelled as his arms bulged, and he started to spin slowly at first before he became a twisting blur.
Queen screamed as his large body added to the momentum, roaring as he tried to fire his lasers at Naruto but instead managed to hit random pirates who came to aid him in the fight. On the final turn of his spin, Naruto threw the brachiosaurus beast-human out of the village. The whiskered blonde was quick to give chase, his haori flapping in the wind as he landed with a crouch. He couldn't help the small grin at the large trench Queen made with his fat body. The dizzy and nauseous man struggled to stand.
Naruto called out to the heavy giant, his voice taking a hint of a serious tone as he said, "I'll ask you one more time before I break something. Where is the key?"
"Tch, cocky bastard! Sparking Queen!" Queen snarled as his sunglasses-covered eyes glowed a sinister red. Light energy shot from his eyes and impacted the spot where Naruto was standing. His enraged gaze followed the moving whiskered blonde, leaving a trail of destruction and flames. With every step Naruto took, large chunks of earth soared through the air from the force and speed of his supersonic form.
Everything felt as if it was in slow motion for Naruto as he closed in on Queen's titanic form. His arm was brought back in what would be a devastating punch, arm coated black and surging with red energy. Naruto took a deep breath as he concentrated, channeling Ryuo, the stronger and more perfected form of Busoshoku Haki to his fist, making sure to control the 'inner flow' and build up the energy for a more devastating punch.
Naruto's ryuo haki transferred into Queen, causing internal damage to match the damage dealt to the gluttonous man on the outside. Queen took a pained step back, followed by another, his right arm cradling and protecting his injured abdomen. A single bead of sweat ran down his brow as he thought to himself, 'Is this really the same brat from back then? How did he get so strong?!'
Queen could picture him all those years ago. Twelve, to be more specific. He was thin and small, and Queen was sure he could have crushed the little runt with one hand at the time.
Dressed in torn bloody rags with the only thing he seemed to take a great deal of care of was the red scarf that he still seemed to wear to this day but if there was one thing the great scientist of the beast pirates would never forget about, this boy and the same he was sure could be said about King it was his rageful blue-eyes…they reminded him too much of that man. The man who nearly killed his captain alongside Kozuki Oden.
Queen snarled as he shifted into his full Brachiosaurus form, dwarfing Naruto at his monstrous height of eight meters. The ground shook with his every step, and trenches were left in his rageful charge. His mouth opened as he fired a barrage of 'Black Coffees'. Terrible explosions ripped apart the area and left small craters in their wake. Naruto jumped in the air, avoiding the blasts and the explosion as he frowned down at Queen. 'So that's the power of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus…'
"I got you now!" Queen roared as his body surged with electricity. His neck split apart, revealing the cybernetic parts hidden underneath. Queen roared as his split-apart neck gave him the boost he needed to strike Naruto's open form. He smirked sadistically as the electric current traveled towards the guarding whiskered blonde.
Naruto brushed the thousand upon thousand bolts of electricity off just in time to bring up his arms in an 'X' fashion to block Queen's large, heavy tail swipe. As he flipped through the air and landed on the ground, Naruto's traditional rope sandals scraped against the earth as he slowed to a stop, his eyes searching for the now disappeared Queen, but there was no sight of the titanic beast. Naruto's eyes soon caught the newfound shade that was growing larger and larger until the whiskered blonde forced himself to look up just as Queen landed on him in an attempt to crush Naruto with his immense weight. The earth cracked apart, and fissures left destruction in their wake as large pieces of earth rose from the crashing force of Queen. The scientist smirked, thinking he had squashed the blonde little shit, and that would be the end of it. What he did not anticipate was for Naruto to catch and hold his weight nearly effortlessly, only slightly grunting as he lifted his shaking arms back and threw Queen with all his might, sending the heavy man crashing into a time-formed structure of dirt and rock that crumbled atop of Queen and buried him in the debris.
Naruto wasn't arrogant enough to think that was the end of Queen. He kept his guard up, which was the smart thing to do as he was assaulted once again by Queen's lasers. As the enraged man switched back to his human-beast form, cursing the whiskered blonde as he did his best to split him in three. Naruto leapt and dived out of the way of Queen's sloppy but powerful attack, a smirk curling his lips as he got closer and closer to the now panicked scientist.
He held out his right hand, concentrating the power of his own devil fruit as air started to twist and swirl in a way that could only be described as controlled chaos before a spinning ball of pure concentrated air that was given more shape and power thanks to Naruto's haki steadily flowing into the devastating attack.
Naruto was just several large steps away from the bruised and beaten scientist. The spinning ball of destruction caused a high-pitched whine that seemed to only increase in both volume and intensity the closer the whiskered blonde got.
Queen barely had time to widen his eyes behind his sunglasses as the attack hit his stomach like a cannonball. Feeling as if his insides were being ground apart as he was sent flying back, and his body started spinning along with the attack before his heavy form impacted the side of a large mountain. The area shook, and all those who were lucky to witness the battle could only stare in shock as Queen, one of the All-Stars for the beast pirates, was defeated.
Queen grunted as he pulled himself out of the hole his round body created. He was once again back in his original human form, bruised and bleeding as he glared hatefully at the approaching Naruto. Holding his non-mechanical arm to his wounded stomach, Queen tried to move but ended up collapsing on his side, unable to do anything as Naruto kicked him onto his back, glaring down at the beaten, gluttonous giant.
"Who…who the hell are you?! How is some no-name brat like you so strong?!" The scientist of the beast pirates roared. Spittle flew past his bloodied blue lips as he howled his demands.
"You know who I am…" Naruto looked Queen dead in his sunglasses-covered eyes as he slowly pulled down his scarf, revealing his full face. A face very similar to that of his fathers.
"You…you look just like him! Don't tell me…you're the son of Namikaze Minato?!" Naruto didn't react at the mention of his father's name. Namikaze Minato was a good man who died far too soon and fought for what he believed in. He was a kind, gentle man who loved his son, his wife and his country more than anything in the world.
"I'll only ask you one last time, Queen. Where is the key?" Queen looked confused for a moment before he closed his eyes. His body started to shake and jiggle in painful laughter. Tears streamed from his eyes as his mocking laughter grew.
"Muhahahahaha! You foolish boy…do you really think I would carry something that important with me at all times? I don't have it. I left it at Onigashima…where you will never find it! Muhahahaha! You're just as foolish as your dead father!"
Naruto scowled, his knuckles popping as his fist and entire arm was once again coated black. Naruto wasn't sure when he moved, but the next thing he knew, he was punching the defeated Queen as hard as he could, creating a small crater that now housed the unconscious scientist. Naruto walked out of the crater and continued towards Onigashima, unphased that he had destroyed Queen's remaining arm.
Queen didn't matter at the moment, nor did King or even Kaido. Someone much more important was waiting for him, and it was about time they became free…
A much younger Uzumaki Naruto limped away from the nearby village. He had been bold enough to challenge not just Queen but also King of the Beast pirates. It was an absurd thought, a twelve-year-old fighting these monsters and winning. That's why he was beaten to a bloody pulp and nearly lost his life for his brave act of stupidity.
"Damn it…" Naruto was fortunate that they did not know he was the son of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. If they did, he surely would be dead by now, but that did little to cool the rage that burned deep in his heart.
Kaido and the 'Shogun' Orochi took everything from him. His mother, his father, his home and even his best friend were taken from him. It made Naruto angry at not just the beast pirates and Orochi but at himself for not being able to do anything to change it. Naruto was far harder on himself, refusing to accept the fact that at this current moment, he was just a lonely, scared, hungry boy and not the warrior who would avenge his family and free Wano as he promised himself every night.
Naruto managed to find shelter in an abandoned shrine. The great structure had clearly seen better days, but the beaten orphan knew beggars couldn't be choosers. He snuck in through a large hole, avoiding broken beams and climbing a destroyed staircase until he was at the very top of the shrine, staring wistfully at the bright, mystical moon. The more he stared at the bright orb of night, the more his heart started to hurt. He didn't know why…but it reminded him of his mother. Perhaps because Naruto, along with his father, always thought his mother's beauty overshadowed even the moon.
Poor Naruto's eyes started to water as he realized it's been roughly six years since they're death. "I'm sorry Kaa-chan…Tou-chan. I'm sorry for being weak…"
Naruto winced as he lay on his side, cradling his cramping, hungry stomach. Wincing at the grumble that echoed around the room. 'I'm so hungry…'
It was only then that the pre-teen spotted a strange-looking fruit resting a few steps away. The moon itself seemed to glow down on the fruit as if to give the starving blonde a better judge of its eatability. Naruto crawled over to the strange-looking fruit, cupping it with both hands and admiring its crimson design. It didn't look anything like an apple, not with all the strange swirls that covered the entirety of the fruit. It seemed oddly similar to that of a tail.
'Where did this fruit come from?' Naruto's hungry stomach didn't give him the opportunity to ponder more about the fruit's sudden appearance. Without a second thought, he bit into the fruit, taking more than a mouthful before his eyes burst open at the horrible taste. Naruto winced as he swallowed before looking back down at the strange fruit.
It tasted awful, but he was so hungry that Naruto couldn't help but keep eating the horrid-tasting fruit until nothing but the stem remained. The blonde pre-teen sighed as he threw the last piece of the fruit away, wishing he had something to wash the terrible taste out of his mouth, but for now, at least, he was full. Wincing as his cheeks started to itch, unaware of what special fruit he had just eaten.
Unknown to Naruto at the time, he had just consumed a very special fruit. A legendary devil fruit with power said to rival or be even greater than that of the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. Better known as Kaido's devil fruit…
Naruto stared at the dark blue waves with a neutral expression. The sea was angry, violent even. A terrible condition for any pirate or marine who dared sail her deep, foamy waters. The whiskered blonde had his arms crossed as he stared dead at his weakness. The sea itself was a curse for every devil fruit user simply for the deal of power they made, unknowingly or knowingly. The power was unnatural. To find a new balance, nature itself turned its back on all devil fruit users and took their ability to swim.
Good thing Naruto didn't need to sail or swim across.
Seemingly unaffected by gravity, the whiskered blonde started to float, his feet leaving the earth as he steadily soared higher and higher until he was high enough to brush the bottom of a nearby cloud with his fingertips. The salty sea air rustled his spikey blonde locks, and even his scarf fluttered from the strong breeze.
Naruto closed his eyes as he glided across the sky, enjoying the freedom and peace flying gave him. The whiskered blonde easily spotted Onigashima. The glowing eyes from the horned dome skull illuminated the island enough for Naruto to find a spot to land with a decent amount of cover.
Naruto sighed as he stepped back onto Onigashima for the first time in five years. In his reckless rage, he challenged Kaido to a fight, and he lost, ending up becoming a prisoner and being forced to serve at the prison mines, where he met his master, Hyogoro of the Flower. The once-great Yakuza boss taught him everything he could about Ryuo. It was because of Hyogoro that Naruto was able to break free of his explosive collar and leave that hellhole. He only wished he could have freed his master before he was forced to flee.
Brushing away the set of bad memories for the moment, Naruto concentrated on his haki as well as using the wind currents in the air to find someone in particular. He was dead still, seemingly in a daze as he lost himself to his senses.
With his ability to manipulate the wind, he scooped out the entirety of Kaido's lair. Searching every nook and cranny of the grand hideout, scanning every person until he found her.
"Yamato…" Naruto didn't waste a single second more before he launched himself from his spot with newfound excitement. After all these years, he was finally going to see her again…He couldn't wipe away the large smile that was quickly growing. His heart felt like it was dancing inside of his chest. Naruto couldn't remember the last time he was this happy and excited to see someone. But this wasn't just anyone. This was his best friend, his only ally besides Master Hyogoro. Yamato was…
The rushing blonde warrior was cut from his thoughts by a propelling mass of Haki taking him by surprise. He saw a flash of white and red before something soft but strong wrapped around his body. Naruto felt like he was stuck in the tightest and gentlest hold of his life. He craned his neck back, squinting his eyes as he saw beautiful strands of white bound by orange rods and going down into a messy ponytail. The further Yamato's hair went, the less white it was, instead becoming a more aqua-green colour, then majestic blue.
Naruto could barely make out her red horns before he found his face buried into her rather endowed chest. While slightly embarrassed where his face ended up, Naruto returned the loving embrace wholeheartedly.
Gravity took its hold and sent the duo falling back to hard rocky grounds, but thanks to Naruto's devil fruit, their sudden and quick descent came to a gentle stop, with Yamato lying atop the overjoyed blonde.
"I knew…" Yamato lifted herself off Naruto just enough to see her gorgeous face illuminated by the moon's enchanting light. A fresh batch of tears made her sunset-coloured eyes sparkle. "I knew you would find your way back…"
"Of course, I would…I promised, didn't I?" Naruto felt the air leave his lungs as the tall beauty tackled him into another tight embrace, but he wouldn't have had it any other way. It felt perfect. It felt right to be back together again, like a piece of himself was missing by not having Yamato by his side.
Naruto had no idea how strongly Yamato's own feelings reflected his own. It was as though a depressing fog had been lifted from Onigishima, and the sun had returned, or rather, to be more specific, her sun had returned to brighten her once destined dreary and dark life.
"I'm sorry it took so long…" Naruto muttered softly, Yamato letting him go enough so they both could sit more comfortably.
"That doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're here now."
"Yamato…" the tall horned beauty tilted her head at her name being called, her eyes softening as she could feel Naruto's disappointment. Not with her but with himself. "I couldn't get the key from Queen, and I'm not exactly sure where it is."
The burden of her cuffs had never felt heavier. The black metal glinted in the moonlight, almost mocking her in a way. For nearly twenty long agonizing years, Yamato had her freedom stripped away from her. Her only comfort was Kozuki Oden's journal and reading his amazing adventures over and over.
Oden gave her the strength to keep fighting, but when that wasn't enough, Naruto came back into her life when she needed him most, reminding her of who she truly was, of their shared dream to leave Wano, see the world and return when they were stronger to finally rid their country of Orochi and Kaido.
A small fear snagged at her heart that today…only one of them would get to live out their dream, and the dreaded explosive cuffs wrapped tightly around her wrists only enforced this steadily creeping dread.
"But just because I couldn't find the key doesn't mean I'm just gonna leave you here, Yamato. You're coming with me!" Naruto gave the tall, white-haired beauty a knowing look. As if he could sense what she was feeling, perhaps he could. But this made the horned woman curious. What was he going to do to free her?
"How?" Yamato questioned with hope and trust shining in her enthralling orange-coloured eyes.
"Do you trust me?" Naruto asked as he rose from his seated position, holding out his hand for Yamato to take.
"With my life." Yamato said as she took his hand and rose and stood tall with her outstanding height of 8'8. Yamato looked down at Naruto and gave him the nod to do what he needed to do to free her.
Naruto inhaled as he concentrated, his arms turning black and surging with red haki. The two shared a glance. Yamato's single nod was the signal Naruto needed to start. His hands gripped the onyx-coloured metal, manipulating his Ryuo haki in just the right way. The cuffs were crushed underneath Naruto's immense strength, and with his quick reflexes, hurled the detonating device as far as possible away from Yamato and himself.
BOOOOOOOOM!
"Ehhhhhhhh?! That goddamn cow-gorilla was actually gonna kill me!" Yamato roared, cursing Queen before remembering her nightmarish chains were finally broken. She was free. Yamato turned to face Naruto, surprising him with another tight hug as she screamed, "You did it! I'm free! I'm finally free!"
"But I think everyone heard the explosion…" Naruto said with a weak grin. His plans of them sneaking off the island quietly had unfortunately blown up in his face. It seemed they were going to have to fight their way out.
"Looks like we finally found you, Yamato!" Ulti, one of the six Tobiroppo and responsible for watching Yamato alongside her brother Page One, another member of the Tobiroppo.
"Oi, don't get in our way." Yamato warned as she reached behind where her large, heavy, studded kanabo mace was resting in her oversized obi rope.
Naruto followed Yamato's lead as he rolled his neck and cracked his knuckles, his eyes flashing red as he warned the brother and sister duo. "Or we'll crush you into dust."
"You're lucky Kaido-sama isn't here, but no matter, King-sama will be here soon, and he'll put you both in your place!" Ulti roared behind her pink mask with a scalloped edge. Her blue hair swung wildly, making the pink streaks stand out even more. Her violet eyes were narrowed, the ground cracking beneath her as she charged at the confident duo. A golden sharp spiked morning-star-like club was her weapon of choice and the perfect counter to Yamato's kanabo.
Ulti's brother wasn't far behind, using one hand to hold his horned striped bucket hat steady, his face hidden by a mask as well.
Naruto didn't seem phased as he gave one last glance to his best friend. "Then we better finish this quickly, right, Yamato?"
"Right!" The tall, red-horned beauty agreed as she leapt from Naruto's side and met Ulti in a clash of dominance. Their haki caused jets of red and black lighting to roam and destroy whatever got in its way.
Naruto fought Page One in close combat, smacking away his punches while landing heavy blows of his own. His kidneys, liver, ribs, none of them were spared from the whiskered blonde's relentless assault. Page One cracked open one of his green eyes to see Naruto throwing forward a busoshoku-covered punch, and his unguarded jaw took the full force of the attack. Page One could do no more than cry out in pain as his body skidded across the rocky terrain, catching Ulti's attention.
"Pay-tan!" Ulti's distraction cost her the clash as Yamato overpowered her fellow horned woman and sent her flying back next to her brother. Ulti scowled behind her mask as she dug her heels into the earth to slow her accelerated form. Gaining some form of control, Ulti leapt to her brother's side, violet-eyes glancing at her brother and then back to their opponents. "Are you okay, Pay-tan?"
"Yeah…I underestimated him. I won't make that same mistake twice." Page One promised as he glared at Naruto's smirking face, starting to summon the power of his devil fruit. His teeth started to turn into sharp fangs, and his skin became less flesh-like and was replaced by thick burgundy scales, similar to Queen when he used the power of his devil fruit.
Just like the dinosaur the fruit was named after, Page One grew a large and long spine along his back down to his newly formed tail.
"Listen, we don't have to beat them. We just need to buy enough time for King-sama, so do as much as you can," Ulti ordered her brother as her arms and legs became that of a beast, clawed hands with sharp nails cut through the air and the green scales crept up her arm and stopped at her elbow.
Ulti's height increased alongside her brother. Both of the now transformed human-beast siblings were taller than Naruto and Yamato. Their haki surged around them like a storm.
"Hai, Nee-san." Page One was the first one to start the assault this time, snarling as he attempted to rip Naruto to shreds. His clawed hands missed Naruto's spiky blonde locks by mere inches, slicing a nearby boulder into five even pieces.
Yamato yelled as she came down from the heavens with her kanabo brought back then forward in a heavy downward swing. The ground beneath Ulti crumbled apart, her hands shaking as she struggled to hold firm in her position. Breaking the deadlock forcefully, Ulti tried to leap away to gain distance, but Yamato was unrelenting with her assault and her energy seemingly endless.
Yamato brought her right arm back, swinging her kanabo upwards in a surprise strike. The taller horned woman smacked Ulti's golden morning star out of her hand and sent the spiked weapon flying into the distance. Ulti, not to be deterred, channeled busoshoku into her clawed hands, her only counter for Yamato's kanabo.
The white-haired beauty gave a roar as she easily overpowered Ulti. The power of Yamato's own devil fruit came to life and traveled up her slender studded weapon, frost and ice creeping up the surprised human-beasts form. She was cold, freezing even, but upon the surprise appearance of Yamato with her kanabo drawn back, Ulti came to the sudden realization that she was slower as well.
"I told you to stay out of our way, Ulti!" Violet-eyes screwed shut from the kanabo bashing into the side of her face. Her pained scream startled Page One.
"Nee-san!" Page One left himself open. Naruto didn't hesitate to send a nasty kick enhanced with haki and wind into the spinosaurus human-beast's thick neck.
Page One snarled as he tried to tear Naruto in twine with his sharp teeth, snapping at nothing but air. The green-haired sibling of Ulti did everything in his power to destroy his whiskered opponent, but the ever-growing gap in their power was becoming more clear.
Wham!
Green eyes bulged, and spittle fell from his agape maw as Naruto buried his elbow in his diaphragm. Page One struggled to breathe, he was even struggling to see, but with nothing but pure will, he kept fighting. Not just for himself but also for his sister and to buy more time for King-sama.
"I think you're close to reaching your limit. Same for your sister." Naruto pointed out, looking over to Ulti. Page One, unable to resist, looked over to his sister as well, relieved to see she had broken free of the ice and frost but was looking very roughed up.
"Maybe so, but King-sama will be here any minute." Page One swore as he recklessly charged forward again, and he wasn't alone. Ulti had joined his charge, channeling a strong amount of busoshoku into her forehead for her signature move.
Naruto and Yamato surprised the brother-sister duo by swapping opponents. The red-horned beauty was now targeting Page One while the whiskered blonde went after Ulti.
Ulti, not to be deterred, continued her onward charge. The pale skin of her forehead went black. She roared at the sight of his grinning face, and Naruto, unable to help himself, mimicked Ulti's attack.
Baaaannnnggggg!
Naruto stared into furious violet-coloured eyes with mirth. If their battle didn't alert the entire island of their escape, then this clash certainly did.
Ulti did her best to overpower Naruto, using everything she had and more, but in the end, she was conquered. Knocked unconscious from a single haki-enhanced headbutt.
Ulti's eyes went white as her limp body was sent flying back, and this time, she didn't get up.
Page One could do nothing but focus on Yamato, letting out a bellow of pain that was loud and furious. He charged recklessly, his vision clouded by rage as he snarled like the beast he had transformed into. The ground shook from his stomping approach, but Yamato wasn't phased. No, she was excited.
"Raaaghhhhh!"
Ka-shroooom!
"Thunder Bagua!" Yamato screamed out the name of her technique as she smashed her haoshoku-imbued kanabo directly into Page One's tattoo-covered chest. The sound of the impact was comparable to that of a thunderclap.
Yamato's arms bulged as she finished the rest of her brutal swing, taking out Page One and sending him into unconsciousness alongside his sister.
"I see you've gotten much stronger." Naruto praised the white-haired, red-horned, tall beauty now standing next to her.
"I'm not the only one~" Yamato replied with a cheeky grin as she bumped Naruto with her hip. The blonde couldn't help but let out a chuckle as he bashfully scratched at his slightly rosey-whiskered cheeks.
Snapping out of his little happy daze, Naruto guided Yamato by the hand towards the harbor, hoping to find a decent-sized ship for them to steal and yet, something felt wrong…
Naruto's eyes quickly flashed red as his kenbunshoku haki activated in the nick of time. Without even thinking, he threw Yamato over his shoulder and leapt away from the direction they were running. There was a brief sense of intense heat before a deep cut was made into the terrain right where Naruto and Yamato would have been.
Stone and rock melted before the escaping duo's eyes. Naruto cursed as he glared up at the man who attacked himself and Yamato. The bastard he was hoping to avoid but was more than happy to pay back for the humiliating defeat he was served as a child.
Up high in the dark cloudless sky, using his black wings to fly, was none other than Kaido's second in command, the strongest of all the All Stars, King The Conflagration.
"Shit…" Yamato muttered as she reached behind where her kanabo was resting in her large obi after Naruto put her down, quickly glancing over to her best friend to see his fists and arms already covered in busoshoku haki.
King was roughly the same height as Queen, and he was well-muscled and broad-shouldered with long limbs to match his large frame. His right hand was currently gripping his large flaming Katana tightly. "You've caused enough trouble, Yamato, enough is enough."
"I'm never going to allow myself to be chained up ever again, King! It doesn't matter if we have to go through you or Kaido! We're getting off this island!" Yamato swore, haki swirling around both herself and Naruto.
"…" King was hard to read with his head and neck covered in a full-face leather mask. The only part of his face that was visible was his eyes. His mask was odd as it was unique. There was a zipper going up the front of the neck, flanked by two blue, gray-studded leather bands.
The mask around the eyes was black, with a trio of blue strips below forming a triangle to mark off the nose, mouth, and chin section, and to the sides of which were blue leather of flame-like shape. Topping the eyes are blue-lensed, gray-rimmed goggle pieces, and on either side of the mask, connecting with a studded base was a large and black, horn-like spike. Five more spikes coated King's mask, only smaller, and they were visible further on top upon a blue band that ran coronally into another one positioned like a headband and crossed yet another that goes sagittal, with air holes in between.
Not that it ended there. The right hand of Kaido also wore a dark blue, double-breasted leather jacket with ten gold buttons and notch lapels with square, red, gold-edged skull patches sewn on.
Running straight down each side of the jacket's waist were two columns of yet more studs, and flat, two-part shoulder pads were present on each side, down the upper arms with three curved spikes atop. Yes, King was truly terrifying, from his appearance to his enormous power.
"So be it." The winged man glowered as the flame on his back grew in size. In a burst of speed, King was in front of the duo, swiping with a wide slash that would bisect any normal person. Fortunately, Yamato blocked the katana with her kanabo, but unfortunately, she was sent flying away from Naruto. King kept his swing going, keeping his eyes locked with the whiskered blonde's own as he ducked under King's dangerous slash.
Naruto was quick to react as he attempted to repay King for what he did to Yamato by throwing a Ryuo-infused punch that the winged man stopped with the flat side of his flame-imbued blade. King narrowed his eyes as he was slowly pushed back by the whiskered blonde's superior strength. 'This kid's not bad…'
Kicking Naruto away, King conjured a scorching flame abound his open palm before snapping his hand close in a tight fist. His entire balled-up hand was engulfed in his hellish flames and, without giving Naruto a chance to properly defend himself, struck the blonde while calling out the name of his attack. "Imperial Flame!"
Naruto grunted as he was sent soaring past Yamato, his orange haori scorched from King's flames. The red-horned beauty yelled as she lunged at her father's right-hand man. Her kanabo became a blur that was matched blow for blow by King's Katana.
Lightning tore apart the ground as Yamato seemed determined not to lose, but King's superior experience put her at a disadvantage. He didn't quite disarm the daughter of Kaido, but he left her unguarded and vulnerable for what surely would be a painful attack.
WHAM!
"Oraaaa!" Naruto roared as he came back with a vengeance and repaid King for his punch with a haki-infused kick of his own. He propelled his speed with his control of the wind, but he also revealed another one of his powerful trump cards. Naruto was now shrouded in a dark crimson bubbling energy that seemed to be making him stronger. This was the other power of Naruto's devil fruit and a technique/transformation of his own creation. Creating and controlling Plasma and manipulating it while also infusing his haoshoku haki to coat himself in this protective layer.
There was no real change to Naruto himself bar his eyes changing from their usual sorrowful blue to an excited and furious dark red.
The winged masked man could do nothing but take the kick to his protected face, his body breaking the sound barrier as he was flung away from the smirking Naruto.
'You've really become amazing Naruto!' Yamato thought as she stared at her best friend's back with wide eyes. Then there was a shift. Her eyes sparkled in admiration at Naruto's strength. She wanted to see more, but she also wanted to show him how much she had grown as well.
King's eyes narrowed as he remembered the time Naruto fought his captain and lost 'That form…You used it against Kaido back then, right? Before, it turned you into a rage-fueled beast, but now you've mastered it…To be able to come this strong in such a short amount of time…Just how high is your potential, Uzumaki Naruto?!'
King's wings flapped to attention, not quite stopping his acceleration but using it to his advantage as he flipped mid-air and then reused the extreme momentum to fire himself back at Naruto at astonishing speeds. The fire on the back dimming and giving King the necessary advantage to go even faster. He wasn't bothered by the pieces of his mask chipping away, revealing parts of his brown skin and one of his furious red eyes.
"What are you thinking, Naruto?" Yamato asked as she braced herself for the fast-approaching King.
"I'm thinking it'll be easier if we work together. You watch my back, and I'll watch yours." Naruto suggested, already starting to feel the heat of King's intense flames.
"And then we hit him with everything we got!" Yamato declared as she charged forward. A thin veil of frost shrouded her as she met her father's right-hand man in an island-shaking deadlock.
"Now that's a plan I can get behind." Naruto laughed as he joined the battle, appearing above the dark-winged pirate and throwing down a heavy axe kick that surely would have broken more of King's mask if he hadn't broken the deadlock and disappeared once more in a burst of speed. The flame on his back diminished from a roaring fire to a candle, something Naruto noticed before he lost sight of King.
'Interesting…'
"Gah!?" Naruto's crimson-coloured eyes widened as Yamato was hit by King's Imperial Flame attack. She was sent crashing into the side of Onigashima's protective wall, but King wasn't going to let his assault end at just his captain's daughter. He charged at Naruto, the flame in his back dimming once again and his speed increasing dramatically.
Naruto's reaction time saved him from getting a nasty cut from collarbone to hip. A loud clap was heard as the whiskered blonde caught the flat side of the katana between the palm of his clapped hands. Wind exploded around the clash, tearing apart the earth just from pure pressure alone. Naruto showed his flexibility as he twisted his body and threw another haki-infused kick at the revealed side of King's face. Kaido's second in command was reactive enough to bring his non-sword-wielding hand and arm up to block Naruto's blow.
King grunted as his arm buckled from the strength of the kick before he proceeded to grab Naruto's outstretched leg, wincing as his hand started to burn from the bubbling cloak. King threw Naruto far away. His eyes narrowed as his flame grew in size and intensity. The winged man soon found himself covered in his own fire, rising into the sky like a burning phoenix.
King started to spin, forming a fire tornado that morphed into a continuous spinning circle with a second circle of fire within that one. King, no longer engulfed in his own flames, was in the center of the second smallest circle with his katana raised high. His katana shimmered brightly, unbothered by his own heat. King manipulated his fire to mastery levels.
His rings of fire illuminated all of Onigashima, and it could only be described as a burning star waiting to burst.
Naruto stared at King with amazement, anticipation and excitement. The spinning wheels of fire picked up an intense wind. The sea around Onigashima crashed against the land and waves of its own making.
"Imperial Flaming Wings!" King's revealed eye shook alongside his hidden one. He took a deep breath before bellowing out the name of his attack while bringing down his flaming katana in a pointed gesture. The miniature flaming center that surrounded King steadily moved forward until it was in front of the dark-winged pirate. It started to accelerate its spinning. The flames became more condensed and thick. The now tunnel of fire started to spasm chaotically, looking like it was going to detonate on its own user.
Yet King showed no fear as the spinning condensed flames turned blue. Then, there was a blinding flash before King's attack erupted in a thick, concentrated beam of fire aimed directly at Naruto.
Naruto's eyes widened as the beam of fire and haki split apart into twelve serpentine dragons, all being controlled by King's will and burning at a temperature comparable to magma. Naruto started to run as he was hunted down by the semi-sentient flaming dragons. The whiskered blonde flipped and propelled himself through the air with the aid of his wind-controlling ability. Right in time, as one of the dragons attacked the area Naruto was standing previously, turning the stone and land into a molten, bubbling, burning pit.
Naruto became a red and orange blur as he ran as his life depended on it, but it seemed even if he could outrun the attack, he was unable to avoid being cornered by the serpents. Naruto leapt into the sky, throwing forward his fist, his crimson plasma energy layer creating an arm with a large clawed hand that balled up into a fist of its own. Naruto yelled as he punched the flaming dragon's head, erupting one of twelve. The whiskered blonde showed his power and mastery over his crimson cloak as he used his left-cloaked clawed hand to catch another serpentine dragon by the throat. It wiggled and roared in his cloaked death hold, but he slammed it into the earth all the same.
Unfortunately, this left him open to the serpentines that had previously attempted to hunt him down. Naruto was getting ready to brace himself against the attack, confident he could take the hit and still be able to fight, but fortunately, he wouldn't have to.
"Thunder Bagua!" Yamato roared to the heavens as she struck the side of one of the serpentine dragon's snarling snouts with the power of her own haoshoku haki-infused kanabo. The other dragon 'died' alongside its brethren as it was destroyed by the haki-infused wind pressure that passed through the first serpentine.
"Thanks for the save, Yamato!" Naruto thanked his tall-horned friend before he glanced down at her kanabo. "I got an idea."
After telling Yamato his idea, the white-haired beauty was more than eager to test out his plan. Naruto took a few steps away from Yamato before running at her full speed and leaping in the air with his busoshoku haki-covered feet pointed straight. Yamato, holding her kanabo with two hands, arched the studded weapon over her shoulder before swinging her kanabo like a bat with a mighty yell.
Naruto's feet connected with the kanabo. The two best friends made brief eye contact before Naruto was launched at King like a ball. He soared through the sky like a comet breaching the atmosphere. He was far too fast for King to see, and there was certainly no chance of the dark-winged man to stop what was coming next.
Naruto appeared above the shocked and surprised King, his two clawed energy-cloaked hands cupped one another, reeling back for more momentum and then slammed the cupped fists in a nasty double axe handle.
The rest of King's mask shattered as he plummeted towards the harsh rocky terrain below. King cursed as his heritage as a Lunarian was revealed. His brown skin was illuminated by the dying molten flame of his attack. The dragons that surrounded Yamato imploded on themselves, impacting the ground like lava spewing waterfalls.
King managed to slow some of his descent with his wings while his silver-white hair flapped widely in the wind as he plummeted harshly towards the ground. Kicking up a large cloud of dust that concealed him from both Naruto and Yamato.
Naruto's crimson-slitted eyes were locked dead on the smoke cloud, waiting and anticipating King's next move. He managed to look eyes with Yamato across the rocky field, that single glance signaling the last course of their plan.
Hit him with everything they got!
Naruto held out his right hand, wind swirling and compressing in on itself, molding the air into a large swirling ball of destruction with the aid of his haki. It was the very same attack he used on Queen but larger and stronger. Growing until it was bigger than his own chest.
Booom!
The dust cloud blew away as an overwhelming heat overflowed Onigashima. King held his katana with both hands. His red eyes narrowed furiously at the smirking whiskered blonde. He took a deep breath before the fire on his back ignited in a mighty blaze. King charged up his strongest attack. The ground beneath the Lunarian melted, it bubbled and boiled, and it spread across the land slowly but gradually.
Naruto didn't care as he started to run. His plasma heated his own attack, turning it from blue to red, then a strong purple with a blue outline. Black lightning sparked around the crimson-cloaked warrior as King's attack grew.
The Lunarian man's dark wings started to flap as the fire on his back erupted into violent flames as he shot himself at Naruto. His red eyes shook as he called out the name of his attack. "Extra Large Imperial Flaming Wings!"
King's blades fire steadily surrounded him until he was coated in his own attack, and that fire morphed into one last serpentine dragon, but this one larger and more ferocious looking than its brethren.
Naruto's crimson-slitted eyes glowed as he called out the name of his own attack with a mighty warcry of "Rasengan!"
He thrusted his arm forward, followed by the spinning ball of pure demolition. His attack clashed against King's own in a mighty and deadly rumble that shook all of Onigashima.
Naruto yelled as he pushed against the flaming dragon with all his might, gritting his teeth as his arm shook and the spinning ball of destruction in his palm ground against the magma.
Yamato, not wanting Naruto to be burdened with all the pressure, started her own attack. Using the power of her devil fruit, Yamato manipulated mist and frost as well as her own haki to create a white snake with glowing red eyes. The creator of the fast-approaching mist serpent was in its mouth, holding her kanabo with both hands as she roared the name of her attack. "Divine Swiftness White Serpent!"
The snake latched onto the dragon's neck as Yamato swung her kanabo forward and struck the flaming dragon, weakening King's attack and giving Naruto the chance to overpower Kaido's second in command.
King yelled as his katana was sent flying out of his hands. The dark-winged man was unable to defend himself as Naruto's deadly technique hit him full force. Shredding apart the top layer of his uniform while cutting and bruising his body until he was launched away from Naruto and Yamato. Crashing into and through Onigashima's great barrier.
King The Conflagration was defeated. Naruto and especially Yamato were finally free to leave Onigashima for good…
The two natives of Wano were sailing on peaceful waters. Having stolen a decent-sized ship from the harbor, Naruto used his control over wind and air to get them away from Onigashima swiftly. The beast pirates failed in their pursuit, losing sight of Naruto and Yamato before they could gain the needed momentum to give chase.
Having successfully escaped, the two best friends rested on deck, staring up at the clear black sky filled with nothing but the most beautiful-looking stars and the moon glowing brightly.
"I can't believe we did it…" Yamato whispered with a serene smile, her eyes tired and half closed as she found herself at peace and content.
"I knew we'd win." Naruto said confidently but tiredly. His own eyes were half-lidded as the rocking of the ship was steadily luring him to sleep.
"You did, huh…" Yamato asked with a grin, turning her head so she was looking at the whiskered blonde. Her gaze is gentle, kind and even loving.
"When we're together, nothing in this crazy world can stop us. I never feel stronger than when I have you by my side." Naruto missed the way the red-horned beauty's cheeks flushed from his passionate words.
"Same for me." Yamato confessed before once again turning her attention to the sky, asking. "So, where do we go next?"
"Hm…" Naruto closed his eyes in thought before bursting open in excited remembrance of someone they hadn't seen in years. "I think it's about time we visited an old friend."
It only took Yamato a moment to figure out who Naruto was referring to. Reaching into her garment, Yamato pulled out a white piece of paper.
A vivre card.
The ultimate guide in finding their friend, Portgas D. Ace…
