Hi, I'm OceanRocker78. And I'd like to welcome you to my first ever story.

The main inspiration for this story came from two stories. The first being Super Lincoln by somebloke420. I unfortunately didn't get the chance to read it the first time. When it was posted a second time I was so excited. Unfortunately he took it down again shortly after.

The second story that served as inspiration for this was "Lincoln Loud, The Boy Of Steel" by numbuh phoenix. I really love that story.although it hasn't been updated in a while. Thats too bad, I really love that story.

So I decided to just make my own story. I hope you like it.

Without further ado, lets get to the story.

On a planet called Krypton, a citadel stood. Inside screams of pain could be heard. In the medical ward a man was leaning over his wife, who was in labor. The mans name was Jor-El. He was Krypton's leading scientist. He had black hair, a beard, was athletically built, and he wore a brown jacket over a blue suit that had the symbol of the House of El on the chest. The woman's name was Lara Lor-Van. She was a beautiful women with long black hair, and she wore a long brown dress.

Nearby, two floating robots were hovering and monitoring the vitals of both Lara, and the baby. These were Kelex and Kelor. They were both teardrop shaped with metallic tentacles. The main things that differentiated the two were that Kelex's 'head' was slightly larger than Kelor's. Also behind Kelor's 'head' was metal that resembled hair.

Lara was pushing to deliver her baby. Jor-El was doing everything he could to encourage her.

"Push Lara" Jor-El encouraged.

Lara continued screaming and pushing. But it was getting really difficult.

"I can't, I can't do it anymore" Lara cried.

Jor-El gently squeezed her hand.

"Yes you can Lara" he encouraged. "You can do this. Just a little more my love. You're strong enough".

His words gave the encouragement she needed. With one last push, and a very loud pained scream, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. One thing to note about the infant was that he had a head of white hair.

"You did it Lara" Jor-El praised. "Our son, Kal-El, is here".

He took Kal-El into his arms as the baby's cries rang out through the citadel. Jor-El gave Kal-El to Lara, and she was filled with so much joy as her son looked at her.

Later Lara and Jor-El were on the couch, beaming at their newborn son.

"He's so beautiful" Lara said. "He's just perfect".

"He sure is" Jor-El said, smiling at his wife and son. "I'm so proud of you Lara".

They wished this moment would last forever. Unfortunately this was not meant to be.

"I have to see the council" Jor-El stated. "Hopefully this time they will listen".

"Jor-El, please don't go" Lara pleaded.

"I have to Lara" Jor-El said. "I have to try one last time".

He gave his wife a kiss, then left.

At the council's headquarters. Jor-El was with the council trying to get them to listen. He had warned them many times that Krypton's core was collapsing. But the council always shrugged it off, much to Jor-El's frustration.

"Harvesting the core was suicide" he argued. "It has accelerated the rate of implosion. We may only have weeks at best".

Unfortunately the council was incompetent, as they have always been. There were six members. All of them wore decorated robes and head pieces.

"Our energy reserves were exhausted" one of them said. "What would you have us do Jor-El"?

"Reach for the stars, like our ancestors did" Jor-El answered. "There are many habitable worlds out there".

"Are you seriously suggesting we evacuate the entire planet?" the head of the council asked.

"No, everyone here is already dead" Jor-El said. "Give me control of the codex, and I will ensure the survival of our race" he pleaded. "There is still hope. I have held that hope in my hands".

Suddenly an explosion was heard at the entrance. Jor-El turned around and saw several plasma bolts kill all the guards. Several soldiers then came in. All of them were carrying plasma weapons. Jor-El immediately knew who was leading this insurrection.

It was none other than General Zod. A man with short black hair, stone cold facial features, and he wore black armor that had his symbol on the chest, what appeared to be a hook inside a shield.

"This council has now been disbanded" Zod declared.

"On whose authority?" the head of the council asked.

"Mine" Zod answered. Then he blasted her, killing her. The other council members were horrified.

"The rest of you will be tried and punished accordingly" Zod continued as his soldiers moved in to apprehend the council members. Jor-El certainly wasn't going to sit back and watch. So he walked up to Zod.

"What are you doing Zod?" Jor-El demanded. "This is madness".

"What I should have done years ago" Zod answered. "These lawmakers with their 'endless debates' have led krypton to ruin".

Jor-El somewhat understood Zod's frustration. He too was fed up with the council. But he also knew that Zod's actions would not help matters.

"Listen to me Zod" Jor-El demanded. "Even if your forces prevail, it won't matter. There will be no krypton for you to rule".

"Then join me" Zod said. "You can help me save our race. I know you hate this so called council as much as I do. We both know it's their fault for what is happening. We can start anew. We can sever the degenerative bloodlines that have led us to this".

Jor-El had to admit that Zod was right about the council. But he was talking about killing bloodlines.

"You may be right about the council" Jor-El admitted. "But you're talking about killing off bloodlines. Who would decide which bloodlines survive Zod?" He asked. "You"?

Zod was not happy with this answer. But he was willing to be reasonable with Jor-El.

"Don't do this El" Zod said. "The last thing I want is for us to be enemies".

"If you truly didn't want that, you would never have taken the sword up against your people" Jor-El responded. "I will honor the man you once were. Not this monster you have become".

Zod did not like this at all

"Is that your final answer?" Zod asked.

"It is" came the response.

"Very well" Zod said. He then turned to some of his soldiers. "Take him away" he ordered.

the soldiers immediately complied and apprehended Jor-El.

Six soldiers were now escorting Jor-El down a hallway. Then Kelex appeared in front of them.

"Sir, is everything alright?" he asked. Despite being referred to as a male, Kelex had a female robotic voice.

"Get out of the way" one of the soldiers ordered.

Jor-El knew what was about to happen. So he closed his eyes.

Kelex emitted a bright light, which blinded the soldiers. Jor-El immediately leapt into action, taking all of them down with no problem. He then turned to Kelex.

"Get me Lara" Jor-El requested.

Kelex complied and projected a Lara's face.

"Jor-El" Lara greeted. How did it go"?

"Not well I'm afraid" Jor-El answered. "Zod has started an insurrection".

Lara couldn't say she was surprised. She knew that Zod hated the council as much as her husband did, if not more. Suddenly she noticed something behind her husband.

"Behind you" she warned.

Jor-El immediately turned around and saw two soldiers coming. He quickly blasted them. Once they were dispatched, he addressed is wife.

"Get the launch ready, my love" he said. "I'll be with you as soon as I can".

Jor-El and Kelex made their way outside, and were met with a horrifying scene.

It was complete armageddon. Krypton's military were responding to Zod's insurrection with full force. Numerous airships were firing their powerful weapons at their enemies. Jor-El knew he had to get through the war zone to get the codex. He looked up to the sky.

"H'RAKA" he called out.

A roar was heard and a dragon-like creature came down, landing right in front of her master. She had light brown skin, grey eyes, a dog-like snout, sharp teeth, and she had four large wings.

Jor-El immediately climbed on her back. Kelex secured himself with his tentacles. Once Jor-El was sure Kelex was secured, he gave the command to fly.

H'raka took to the air. During the flight she had to perform many evasive maneuvers to avoid the blasts from the ships. From sudden climbs, to sudden drops. From sharp turns, to twisting around in the air. Luckily both her passengers managed to hang on.

After a few minutes, they finally reached their destination, The genesis chamber. H'raka hovered over the water. The codex was somewhere down there.

"Do you see the codex?" Jor-El asked Kelex.

"It's just beneath the central hub, sir" Kelex answered, unlatching himself from H'raka's back and flew in front of Jor-El. "But I'm compelled to warn you, breaching the genesis chamber is a class B crime punishable by-"

"No one cares about those penalties Kelex" Jor-El interrupted. "The end of krypton is coming".

He removed his jacket, leaving him in his blue suit. He then dove into the water. He swam through a tunnel, then he reached the genesis chambers. Huge stems sprouted from the ground. Each one contained numerous artificial wombs, which housed fetuses. Each one was to be genetically altered to fulfill a specific role in society. The fetuses were all tended to by squid-like robots.

Jor-El swam up until he reached the surface. He gasped for air and looked up and saw what he was looking for, the codex. The codex appeared to be a black skull with glowing energy. He reached up and grabbed it from its restraints. The codex was finally his.

Suddenly an alarm sounded. Jor-El immediately dove back into the water and swam away as fast as he could. When he surfaced, he was met with a gunship.

"Jor-El" the pilot announced. "By order of general Zod, surrender the codex".

Jor-El was conflicted. He could either take his chances with the gunship. Or he would take a huge gamble and jump off the building. He made his decision.

He jumped off. As he was falling he realized he was going to die. He had failed his wife and son.

Suddenly H'raka swooped in and caught him. He immediately positioned himself on her back. Kelex behind him.

"Good girl H'raka" Jor-El praised, rubbing her head, much to her delight. "Lets get home".

H'raka complied and flew in the direction of the citadel. But they weren't out of the woods yet. Behind them the gunship that confronted Jor-El was on their tail. They had to lose it somehow. Looking ahead Jor-El saw a way to lose the ship. But it would be risky.

Ubehinfd two massive ships were on a collision course for each other. H'raka quickly flew towards them, maneuvering in a way that would have her miss the impending collision. It worked. The gunship that was behind them collided with one of the much larger ships. A few seconds later the two massive ships collided, resulting in a massive explosion.

H'raka roared in pain. Jor-El checked her and saw she had a nasty wound on her neck. She was really struggling to fly now.

"Easy H'raka" Jor-El soothed. "We're almost there".

Finally the citadel was in sight. H'raka used everything she had to make it to the citadel. Finally they made it and H'raka crash landed near the front entrance. Luckily her passengers didn't fall off. Jor-El and Kelex climbed off her back. Jor-El went over to comfort H'raka, as he knew she didn't have a lot of time.

"You did great H'raka" he praised, rubbing here head. "I'm proud of you. You can rest now".

H'raka was happy that she made her master so proud. Then she passed away.

Jor-El didn't have time to mourn right now. There was still a lot to do.

In the laboratory of the citadel, Lara was holding Kal-El. Jor-El was getting everything ready while Lara was tending to the white haired infant. He was such a happy baby, smiling at his mother and giving an occasional giggle.

Lara looked down at her son and was filled with so much joy seeing him all happy. She loved him so much. She kissed his little cheeks several times, which made him giggle more.

Finally Jor-El had everything ready. Now he just had to make sure of one thing.

"Did you find a world?" he asked his wife.

"Yes, we have" she responded.

"Orbiting a main sequence yellow star, just as you said it would" Kelor continued as she displayed a solar system millions of light years away. All the planets were orbiting a large yellow sun. The sun of that solar system was billions of years younger than kryptons sun. It also burned brighter and hotter. Jor-El was pleased.

"A young star" he observed. "His cells will drink its radiation".

Kelor then displayed the seemingly only planet in that solar system that had life, earth. She then displayed creatures that looked exactly like the kryptonians.

"There's an intelligent population there" Jor-El observed. "They're not nearly as advanced as us. But they look just like us. Its a perfect fit".

Despite the good news, Lara was having some serious concerns.

"He will be an outcast, a freak" she said. "They'll kill him".

"How?" Jor-El asked. "He will be a superior being to them".

But Lara was still not convinced.

"What if the ship doesn't make it?" she asked. "What if he ends up in the wrong place? He will be all alone".

She looked down at her white haired son. He was cooing happily and giggling. The sight of him so happy made her maternal instincts kick in.

"I can't do it" Lara admitted. "I thought I could, but now that he's here".

Jor-El certainly understood Lara's concerns. He also shared in her pain. He also wished that they would get to raise him. But this had to be done.

"Lara" Jor-El said gently. "I know this is hard. Believe me this is hard for me as well. But krypton is doomed. This is his only chance now. Our peoples only hope".

Then Kelex sounded an alarm, indicating trouble.

"What's wrong Kelex?" Jor-El asked.

"There are five attack ships converging from the east" Kelex answered, displaying the five ships and displaying the logo of who they belonged to, general Zod. "Citadel defense systems are being scanned and evaluated".

"Dang it Zod" Jor-El said. "We need to hurry. I'll get the codex ready".

He went over to grab Kal-El from Lara. But she was not ready to let him go.

"No wait, please. Just a little longer" she pleaded.

Jor-El also wished that they could have more time with their son. But they were fast running out of time.

"Lara" Jor-El gently said. "We have to do this".

"No, just let me look at him" Lara pleaded.

She looked down at Kal-El, taking in every detail about him. His shiny white hair, his cute little freckles, his chubby cheeks, his adorable eyes, his little button nose, and his adorable smile. She loved him so much. It tore her heart that she had to let him go.

"We'll never get to see him walk" she said tearfully. "We'll never hear him say our names".

This was just as hard for Jor-El as it was for Lara. It also broke his heart that they had to let him go. He would never get to be his sons teacher, never have a little science buddy. But he had to be brave for Lara.

"Out there, amongst the stars, he will live" Jor-El assured. "I promise you, he will be alright".

Lara finally let Jor-El take Kal-El from her arms. She gave him one last kiss on his snow capped head. Jor-El also kissed their sons head as he carried him over to a special cradle. Lara wept silently.

It absolutely tore Jor-El up to see the love of his life so distraught. But he couldn't grieve right now. He had to focus on the task at hand. He placed the white haired baby on the cradle, then he got the codex ready. The codex was digitalized, then beamed into Kal-Els heart. It didn't hurt the white haired infant, but he was fascinated by the beam. He giggled watching it.

With the process completed, now they had to load him onto the ship above.

"Good bye Kal-El" Jor-El said. "May our hopes and dreams travel with you".

The cradle then lifted up and went into the ship. They would never again see their son.

Jor-El then remembered that Zod and his forces were on their way. So he went over and donned his battle armor, gold armor that had the symbol of the house of El on the chest.

Outside Zod's ships were arriving at the citadel.

"Concentrate fire on the main doors" Zod ordered.

The soldiers complied and fired their plasma weapons at the front doors until they were destroyed.

Inside Lara entered a command on the touch pad, and the ship rotated into launch position.

"Lady Lara" Kelor addressed. "The phantom drives are coming online"

"Proceed to ignition" Lara ordered.

Outside the ships had landed at the entrance.

"General" Faora-Ul addressed. She was Zod's second in command and his most loyal follower. "We have picked up an engine ignition inside the citadel".

"A launch" Zod said. "Hold this platform Faora".

She and several soldiers complied. While Zod and two soldiers went inside. Zod was thinking that Jor-El was escaping with the codex. He was not going to let that happen.

Zod got inside and saw Jor-El wearing his battle armor. Zod also saw a ship ready for launch, but it looked too small for Jor-El. This made Zod more suspicious.

"I know you stole the codex Jor-El" he said. "Surrender it and I will let you live".

Jor-El was not going to comply.

"This is a second chance for all of krypton" he stated. "Not just the bloodlines you deem worthy".

His words confused Zod even more. He looked around for hints at what Jor-El was doing. He saw a birthing bed nearby. This was strange because they haven't been used in thousands of years. He also noticed Lara looked less slim than usual. It was as if-

Suddenly Zod was filled with horror and disgust. They could not have done what he thinks they have done.

"What have you done" he demanded.

"We have had a child" Jor-El answered. "A son, Krypton's first natural birth in thousands of years. He will be free to forge his own destiny".

"Heresy" Zod responded. His face was a mixture of horror and disgust. Now it all made sense. The codex was with the abomination Jor-El and Lara have conceived. Well the codex wasn't going anywhere while Zod was here.

"Destroy it" Zod ordered.

This made Jor-El go on the offensive. He blasted the two soldiers before they could do anything. Zod then threw punches at Jor-El, both of them trying to get the upper hand. Eventually Jor-El managed to slice the left side of Zod's face. But Zod quickly countered by pushing Jor-El against the wall. All while Lara was finishing the launch as fast as she could. Eventually Jor-El gained the upper hand and threw several combos, before finally slamming Zod's head against the wall. Zod was now down.

Lara entered a command on the touch pad, and the ships thrusters fired up.

Zod was now desperate. The codex was slipping away from his grasp. Maybe Lara would be more reasonable.

"Lara, listen to me" Zod said. Lara turned her attention to him. "the codex is kryptons future. Abort the launch".

Lara looked at Zod, then at her husband. She knew what she had to do.

She pushed the button, and the ship was freed from its restraints. The ship slowly lifted off.

Lara and Jor-El were watching and were relieved that their son was escaping both the planet, and general Zod

"NOOOOOOOO" Zod yelled.

Zod then unsheathed a blade from his arm, and while Jor-El was distracted, Zod drove the blade right in Jor-El's stomach. He groaned in pain as he clutched the blade. Zod then forcibly removed the blade. Jor-El then collapsed.

Suddenly Zod was blasted by a plasma bolt, and he was killed. It was Kelex that killed Zod. While Jor-El was fighting the deranged general, Kelex went outside and killed all of Zod's forces.

"Jor-El" Lara cried running over to her husbands side.

"Lara, my love" Jor-El said weakly.

"Hang in there hon" Lara pleaded. "I'll help you".

"No Lara" Jor-El assured. "It is too late for me. Our son is safe, that's what's important".

Tears were rolling down Lara's cheeks.

"I love you Lara, so, so much". Jor-El said. "You have made me the luckiest man in the universe".

"I love you too Jor-El" Lara tearfully responded.

They both shared one last passionate kiss. When they released from the kiss, Jor-El smiled at his wife, then he passed away.

Lara was completely devastated. She buried her face in his chest and cried inconsolably.

A few days after the loss of her husband, and sending away her son. Lara was looking at the battle armor Jor-El wore in his final fight. Kelex had apologized for not getting to Jor-El on time to save him. But Lara told Kelex that he had nothing to be sorry for, and that his actions made sure that her son was truly safe.

An explosion was heard in the distance. Lara walked over to the balcony with Kelex and Kelor behind her. When they got to the balcony they were met with an apocalyptic scene.

Outside, huge streams of fire began erupted from the ground. Lara knew that this was it. The end of Krypton had come.

"Lady Lara" Kelor said. "shouldn't you find refuge"?

"There is no refuge Kelor" Lara responded. "Jor-El was right. This is the end.

As more streams of fire shot up out of the ground, she looked up at the sky. She knew that her son was out there.

"Make a better world then our Kal-el" Lara said.

More and more streams of fire erupted from the ground, getting closer and closer until the citadel was engulfed in flames.

Krypton couldn't take anymore, and the planet blew up in a massive explosion.

Krypton was no more.

And this concludes the first chapter. Just so you know I just joined the site so I'm still figuring things out.

Anyway I hope you all like it. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
