Summary: 20 contestants battle it out on a private resort in a tropical paradise hosted by the amazing Chris McLean, and his assistant, Chef Hatchet. In a brand new season of twists and turns, who will walk away with the prize?

Pretty Peacocks: Rebekah, Ilyria, Lin, Butch, Walter, Antonio, Trish, Shauna, and Demetrius

Alexis would go to Chris before he was about to begin his famous recap.

"Chris, just so you know, I got a call from the hospital. Spikke's gonna be fine. He should be released by the end of the day tomorrow."

"Oh thank heavens, I didn't want to deal with a lawsuit this early on!" the host whined.

"Spikke was able to convince his older siblings not to sue us. So you should be thanking him when he comes back," the young chef said.

"Oh yeah, I did NOT want to deal with 4 angry Greeks," Chris shuddered. "But anyway, time to begin the recap! Last time on Total Drama Hawaiian Resort our two teams tested their mettle, and their appetites, against our Wheel of Food! The plan was for everyone still in the game to spin the wheel and eat whatever they ended up getting with some foods being normal, others being more unique, and some being downright nasty! However, after what some have begun to suspect is foul play, Spikke was forced to be medically evacuated as a result of his peanut allergy coming out. How it managed to happen despite him having pineapple is anyone's guess…"

"I don't know…" Alexis pondered. "There was definitely something going on back there. But in other news, we also had Dante and Antonio swap teams, and let's just say that Fernando wasn't happy with the fact that Dante is now on the same team with Abigail and himself."

"Well, regardless, with Spikke's removal we're left with eighteen contestants remaining. The teams are even again! Which one will gain the advantage, and who's next to go? Find out now on what is sure to be another dramatic episode of Total!

Drama!

Hawaiian Resort!"

Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine,

You guys are on my mind.

You asked me what I wanted to be

and now I think the answer is plain to see,

I wanna be famous.

I wanna live close to the sun,

Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,

Everything to prove, nothing in my way

I'll get there one day.

Cause, I wanna be famous!

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na! (as can be heard in the background)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

(Whistling in tune)

Episode 4: Trials of Trivia

Fantastic Flamingos-Christopher

The young magician sat alone in his room, a sullen look on his face as he looked over at the now empty bed his former roommate once occupied. With a heavy sigh, the young man shut his eyes and tried to get some sleep.

*Confessional*

Christopher: "Okay, so I know there's definitely something suspicious about the way Spikke left the game. Even though we weren't roommates for long, I know for a fact he's allergic to peanuts, not pineapple! Chris may be evil and Chef may be cruel, but I don't think they'd actually go so far as to trigger his allergy like that. Besides, Chef has Alexis keeping an eye on him and she seems like the responsible type. Plus his Epi-Pen just so happened to disappear, too. That can't be a coincidence! I have to find out what really happened there, for Spikke! Even… Even if it means going against Joseph's orders!"

*End confessional*

The magician would soon set out, using his phone as a flashlight, to try and find any clues, though it proved to be difficult. "Where could it be?" He asked himself, unsure of what it was he was even truly looking for.

Brittany was taking Avalanche out to the bathroom before noticing Christopher, and narrowing her eyes at him while the magician didn't even notice her presence.

*Confessional*

Brittany: "That magician is on to something, and I don't like it. I might need to dispose of him if he digs around where he shouldn't. But how?"

*End Confessional*

Not finding anything, Christopher sighed with disappointment as he went back to bed, thinking that he could try again in the morning, when there was more daylight. The thought of talking to a teammate he could trust entered his mind and put him a bit more at ease.

"Goooooooooood Morning Campers! It's a beautiful day for another challenge! Let's get down to it! Meet me down at the dining hall pronto!" Chris would announce on the loudspeaker.

Abigail made her way down to the dining hall, her hair already styled in a fancy braid, which the rest of her team took notice of.

"Look at you!" Jerusha giggled. "What's the occasion Ms. Fancy Pants?"

"You know me. I have to style myself this way, in order to appease my mother. But she still treats me like I'm a toddler, when I'm already legally old enough to take care of myself!" The rich girl let out. "Sometimes, I feel like I want to cut ties with her."

"Isn't that a bit harsh?" Joseph asked, raising an eyebrow. "She is your family, you know."

"But she is cruel to everyone who isn't rich like us. She thinks the only people I should associate with are people who are wealthy or famous. Everytime I try to stand up to her, she gets mad at me. And honestly? If I win this competition, I'm gonna donate the money to charity. I'm already rich."

"If I win, I'm gonna use it to get surgery to try and walk again," Lucille let out. "It would be nice to finally be out of this wheelchair. I've missed running, walking, and dancing too."

"That's a very valid reason." Abigail smiled.

From the Peacocks' side of the room, Shauna's ears piped up as she heard the word "dancing" but Lin quickly pulled her away.

"I intend to use the money to kickstart my career!" Jerusha proudly proclaimed. "Soon you'll see me headlining the biggest shows in Vegas!"

"Honestly, I'm hoping to win the money to help with my sister's career." Christopher said. "And if there's a little left over, I can use that to attend magic school. I want to improve my skills even more, before I make a name for myself."

"You're all assuming that you'll make it far enough to win." Joseph said sternly. "Let's just focus on winning this next challenge."

When everyone arrived at the dining hall, they noticed that the tables had been pushed off to the side. Two tables were now situated in the middle of the room, both were color coded for each team and had nine buzzers on them.

"Surprise everyone, it's trivia challenge time! Each of you will be asked general knowledge questions about every topic in the world! Some questions will be worth one point, others will be worth a different amount of points," Chris began. "We'll be going back and forth between each team to ask you the questions, but if you get it wrong, then the other team can try and steal the point or points from you."

"Get ready teams! I'll be asking the first question!" Alexis let out. "And the category for the first question will be Movie Villains! Let's start off with the Peacocks!"

Rebekah smirked confidently, looking at her team. "Are you guys ready for this?"

"As ready as we can be!" Walter assured.

"Okay. Trish, let's start off with something easy for you. 'Jafar is the villain in what Disney movie?'"

The posh girl gasped with excitement at the question. "Ohmigosh! That's, like, totally from Aladdin! I love that movie!"

"That is correct! That question was worth 2 points, so congratulations!" Alexis smiled.

"Alright, next is the Flamingos'." Johan began. "The category is World Geography."

"Don't suppose any of you are good with that subject?" Joseph asked.

"It depends on the question," Abigail replied, Dante and Jerusha both nodded in agreement.

"Figures." Brittany scoffed as she rolled her eyes.

"The world renowned Easter Island Heads are considered the territory of what country?"

"Oh, I think it's in Chile?" Abigail guessed.

"Ding!" Johan replied. "That's correct, and the question was also worth 3 points."

"Yes!" Abigail let out, pumping her fist and giving Dante a high-five, much to Fernando's annoyance.

"Okay! Peacocks, this next question is for you! The category is Movie Quotes!"

"Oh, sh*t…" Rebekah groaned. "Please don't be a hard one."

"We'll be fine." Walter stated. "But please, try to watch your tongue…"

"Here's the question! 'So we're all gathered here today to celebrate the reconnection of our phones, and this bounteous Wi-Fi!' is a toast from which Academy Award-winning movie?" Alexis asked.

"Parasite, released in 2019," Demetrius said simply.

"That is correct! That question earns your team 6 points!" Alexis grinned.

"As expected." Demetrius nodded.

"This next category is based on the old seasons of this show and it's for the Flamingo's." Chef explained. "'How many contestants have had at least one appearance in every season, and who were they?"

"Um… Heather and… Gwen, I guess?" Joseph responded.

"Well, you did get at least two of them, so you'll get the point for your team." Chef shrugged.

"Cheeeefff!" Chris whined. "You can't just give them the point for not answering the whole thing!"

"Ah well." The man shrugged. "What's done is done."

"Walter, this next question is for you. The category is 'Memorial Day.'" Alexis said. "'Memorial Day was first recognized on what date?'"

"May 30, 1868, and it was commemorated in honor of the sacrifices of the Civil War soldiers!" The soldier replied proudly.

"That is correct! You've earned 9 points for your team!" Alexis exclaimed.

"Alright, I've been waiting for a question like this!" Johan began, excitement creeping up on his face. "Flamingo team, your question is on Music! 'What musical group is known for their songs titled; 'Dusty', 'Black Hole Sun', and Rhinosaur'? If you can get this you score 8 points and my respect!"

"Your respect isn't worth that much, dude." Chris commented, giving the intern a sly grin to match his glare.

"Soundgarden?" Christopher took a guess.

"Heck yeah!" Johan exclaimed. "Take those points!"

"No one sings like Chris Cornell anymore." Chef sniffled.

"Yeah, and nobody has a smile quite like Chris McLean!" Chris scoffed. "Anyway, Peacocks, it's your turn!"

"Peacocks, your category is 'Wonders of the World! Which country produces the most wine in the world?'" Alexis asked.

"Easy, it's France," Rebekah let out.

"Correct! You get 7 points!" Alexis nodded. "Peacocks, you currently have 24 points. Flamingos, you currently have 12 points. You really need to catch up."

"Luckily, they can! If they can manage to answer this next question worth 10 points!" Chris announced. "Flamingos, this question is on Science! 'What is the rarest blood type?'"

"AB-!" Lucille would instantly answer.

"Correct!" Chris announced.

"How on earth did you know that?" Abigail glanced at Lucille.

"That's my blood type!" Lucille smiled. Joseph looked over at the girl with an impressed smile on his face.

"You like her." Miguel smiled at the captain, giving him a nudge in the side..

"She puts in good work for the team." He replied, his expression stoic.

"That's not what I meant." Miguel said. "I mean in a romantic way. I'm a movie star, and I can tell when people are in love."

"So she's cute. That doesn't mean I'm in love with her. This also isn't the time for this so I suggest you drop it before I make you drop it!" Joseph said, his tone cold and dangerous.

"Okay, okay, chill out!" Miguel let out, raising his hands in defense. Unknown to them, Lucille had overheard this.

*Confessionals*

Lucille: "Oh… Oh my goodness! Joseph likes me?! This is amazing! Honestly, I do find him appealing, even if we did get off on the wrong foot. But does he really feel that way about me?"

*static*

Joseph: "I can't let how I feel about a girl get in the way of the game, especially this early. So what if she's smart and talented, I have more important things to focus on!"

*End Confessionals*

"Peacocks! This next question is for you! The category is 'World Cup!'" Chris announced. Antonio's eyes went wide and so did the smile on his face upon hearing that.

"'At which World Cup did the tradition of swapping shirts begin?'"

"Easy, 1954, in Switzerland!" the soccer player exclaimed.

"Correct!" Chris announced. "That's 5 points to the Peacocks!"

"Oh yeah!" Antonio cheered.

"Nicely done." Rebekah let out.

"Not bad." Lin added.

"Flamingos, the next question is yours." Alexis began. "The subject is Gaming, and it's worth 3 points. What video game series is currently the best selling of all time?"

"Um… it's Pokémon, isn't it?" Dante guessed.

"That's correct!" Alexis nodded.

"Nice one!" Abigail smiled sweetly at Dante. The young man smiled back at her before noticing the scowl Fernando was giving him, causing him to turn away looking uncomfortable.

"Let's do 6 more questions," Chris said. "Peacocks, the next category is about the movie Encanto. 'What protected the Madrigal family from the attackers?'"

Lin would think for a second, before pressing her buzzer. "Is it a magical candle?"

"It is indeed! That's correct! You've earned 4 points!" Chris exclaimed.

"Flamingos, here is your next question, and the category will be Crime!" Alexis let out.

"Interesting…" Brittany smirked.

"'Whose unjust hanging eventually caused the British parliament to abolish capital punishment?'" Alexis asked.

"Timothy Evans," Brittany answered.

"That is correct, and you've earned 8 points!" Alexis exclaimed. "Both teams are currently tied at 37 points each!"

"You know what? Let's make this the last question then. Peacocks, if you can get this answer correct, you'll earn nine points, and win the challenge!" Chris announced.

"Alright, let's get this one!" Rebekah called out to her team.

"The category is Film." Chris began, a wide smile on his face. "What is the name of the character I played in the world-renowned Badminton movie 'Watch the Birdie'?"

"What…" Brittany deadpanned. "There's no freaking way they'll get that!"

"There's little to no chance they'll get the answer either." Lin groaned.

Ilyria sat in silence, deep in thought... "Hold on. I think I remember watching the episode of Total Drama Action. It's 'The Flipper', right?"

"THAT IS CORRECT! PRETTY PEACOCKS, YOU WIN!" Chris announced pridefully, wiping a tear from his eye. "I knew people loved that movie! Admit it, you knew the answer, but wanted to be humble!"

"Uh, yeah, sure." Ilyria replied, looking a bit uncomfortable. "Let's go with that."

The Peacocks would all cheer happily, while the Flamingos looked really distraught at their loss.

"Sucks to be you, Flamingos! Time to decide who'll be eliminated from your team! See you at the elimination ceremony tonight!" Chris would taunt the losing team.

*Confessionals*

Joseph: "This is not what I was hoping for! I'd rather not have to vote someone off, but since we have to, we need to cut off the weakest link. Someone who nobody would really miss…"

*static*

Abigail: "I can't believe we lost! I don't want to send anybody home!"

*static*

Lucille: "I really hope the team doesn't choose to send me home…even though I did get one of the answers correct."

Fantastic Flamingos; Abigail and Fernando

Abigail sat on a pool chair overlooking the beach drinking some water as she contemplated her vote.

"Ah, mia bella pesca, you seem conflicted about something." Fernando greeted, sitting next to the young woman and placing his arm around her.

Abigail looked up, blushing and smiling, and saw Fernando approaching her. "I am. I don't know who to vote for."

"Well, I've made my choice, and I know you will make a wise choice as well. But you don't need to panic. Something tells me the target is not on your back."

"I'm grateful about that. But I don't know who to send packing. Everyone seems very strong. Who are you voting for?" Abigail asked.

"I cannot tell a lie, my vote is going to Dante." Fernando admitted.

"What? But he's done nothing wrong! He got an answer correct in the challenge!" Abigail protested.

"Yes, yes, I know. But… I don't like the way he looks at you. His gaze is… it's like mine. It's the look of a man who's seen an angel, one that he believes he must have by his side! Seeing him have that look for you when I already feel the same way… It's…" Fernando explained before trailing off.

"You…really feel that way about me?" Abigail asked, her breath hitching in her throat, as she gazed at the male model.

"Of course, my dear! Would I lie to you?" The model answered, gazing into Abigail's eyes.

"Well… I suppose you don't have a reason to…" the rich girl replied. The two teens puckered their lips as they slowly leaned into one another…

"Um…am I interrupting something?" Lucille's voice called out. The two lovebirds froze before looking over at the wheelchair-bound girl.

"N-No, you're not interrupting anything." Abigail answered.

"Oh, thank goodness," Lucille sighed in relief. "Joseph called a team meeting."

"We're coming." Abigail stood up.

"Yes, we shouldn't keep the boss waiting!" Fernando agreed, wearing a fake smile.

*Confessionals*

Fernando: "Argh! Of course we had to be interrupted by Wheels and our oh so wonderful leader! He and Dante are proving to be much more annoying than I realized! …I still need to think of a way to get power away from Joseph, and I already have Abigail in the palm of my hand! I just need to get that worm, Dante, out of here and then I can work on Joseph!"

*static*

Abigail: "OMG, I can't believe Fernando and I almost kissed! He's really handsome, and kind! Mother will definitely approve of me dating someone rich and famous like him!"

*End Confessionals*

Joseph sat on a rather comfortable looking chair in the lobby of the resort, a large table set in front of him as he awaited the rest of his team.

Brittany, Christopher, Dante, Abigail, Lucille, Fernando, Miguel, and Jerusha would all arrive, and sit around their captain. The mob boss, in particular, looked a bit annoyed.

"So, dear captain? Who do we plan to vote for?" she asked.

"A team is only as strong as its weakest link. So I want all of you to take a moment and think, who do you think is this team's weakest link? Maybe it's yourself. In that case, what do you do?"

"I would speak my mind, and tell you all why I shouldn't be eliminated. I'm one of the most powerful people out in the world. You wouldn't dare to mess with me," Brittany glared at them all, with fire in her eyes, earning a smile from the team captain.

"I think she's a bit crazy," Christopher said quietly to Jerusha.

"Ditto, but don't let her hear you!" The macabre magician replied.

"Che cosa hai appena detto?!" Brittany let out in Italian, getting up from her seat and glaring daggers at the two performers.

"ENOUGH!" Joseph thundered, his voice silencing everyone. "If you two want to whisper to yourselves, maybe you can tell the rest of us why we should bother keeping you two around!"

"We're both performers! We have to dazzle and put on a show!" Christopher let out. Joseph's glare deepened as he gave the young magician a disapproving glare. Jerusha gulped in fear, trembling as she looked at the Samoan.

"Um, w-w-we bring a certain creativity to the team that you can use in plans for us to win challenges that the other team might not see coming?" She pleaded. Joseph silently leaned back into his seat, the look in his eyes softening just a bit as he nodded at the two.

"I expect you two to come up with something good in the next challenge then."

The two performers breathed a sigh of relief. Lucille would look over at the captain. "It's too bad Spikke isn't around anymore. He did bring some positive energy to our team."

"Positivity alone doesn't get us wins." Joseph replied, trying to not look at Lucille.

Lucille frowned. "Perhaps we can talk after the elimination?"

The captain shared the same frown as he sighed quietly. "Sure."

"Oh Flamingos!" Chris announced on the intercom. "Time for a member of your flock to fly away!"

"Well, let's get this over with." Brittany growled, standing up, and storming out to the elimination ceremony.

*Confessionals*

Joseph: "When I was made leader of this team, I told myself that I would need to be harsh if I needed to. This is one of those times. I don't want to let anyone go, but life isn't about what you want."

*static*

Lucille: "I wonder how the elimination will go…"

*static*

Jerusha: "I've dealt with real human bones, blood, guts, you name it, but… I think that might be one of the few times I was legitimately terrified…"

*static*

Butch: "Holy hell, I was just about to take a shower when I heard someone screaming at the top of their lungs!"

Elimination Ceremony-Fantastic Flamingos

The Flamingos silently walked in, and took their seats as Alexis handed Chris the voting box.

"It's time to vote! One by one, you'll be given a piece of paper, and a pen. You will write down the name of the person you want to vote for, and put it into the box. We'll tally up the votes, and bring out the s'mores."

Alexis handed out the pieces of paper to the nine remaining members of the Flamingos, before passing the pen to Joseph, who silently wrote the name of his choice before passing the pen to Brittany.

The mob boss would angrily write down a name, but made sure that her writing was clear enough to read. Then, she passed the pen to Lucille. The wheelchair bound girl would write down a name. After writing down a name, she would pass the pen to Miguel, who would also write down a name on his piece of paper. The movie star would soon pass the pen to Jerusha.

Slowly but surely, all the Flamingos made their votes as Chris tallied them all with an intrigued and excited smile on his face. Once the votes were tallied, Alexis would bring out a plate with eight s'mores on them.

"You've all cast your votes, and this is very interesting. But anyway. Joseph, you're safe," Alexis said. "Come and get your s'more."

The captain nodded with a hum as he went and retrieved his immunity symbol.

"Abigail, you're safe too." Chris continued.

Abigail breathed a sigh of relief as she went to collect her s'more.

"Fernando! You're safe too, with no votes against you!" Alexis announced. The model shared a proud look before giving Abigail a sincere smile. When he was sure she wasn't looking, he gave Dante a nasty glare.

"Lucille, you're in the clear." Lucille would wheel over to collect her s'more, keeping her eye on Joseph.

"Christopher, you also have no votes against you," Alexis said. The male magician glanced over at Jerusha, before going to collect his s'more. The horror addict gave her counterpart a confident smile before her confidence quickly waned as she realized who was left.

"With only one vote against them, Brittany! You're safe!" Chris announced.

"Whoever voted for me is dead meat." Brittany glared angrily, as she went to collect her s'more.

"Also with one vote against them. Dante." Alexis added. The former Peacock looked shocked as he looked at the rest of his new team nervously. Abigail looked surprised to see a vote placed against him as she gave Dante a concerned glance. Jerusha and Miguel looked between each other with looks of utter shock and fear.

"Jerusha, Miguel. This is the last s'more of the night." Chris began. "Tonight, only one of you can stay. And the person staying in the competition is…"

"...Jerusha," the host finally announced.

Miguel looked shocked to be voted off. "Why me?"

Lucille frowned, looking over at her team, wondering why they would vote off the movie star.

"Well, Miguel, time to head to the Pool for Fools." Chris exclaimed.

"Woo, new friendo!" Terra called as she lay on a pool floatie.

"Stay away from me!" Miguel shouted at Terra, as Chef urged him over to the poolside.

"As for the rest of you, you're safe. For now! You're dismissed and are free to turn in for the night."

The Flamingos would soon leave, with Lucille looking over at Joseph before wheeling over to him and grabbing his wrist. The captain turned to face her and was met with her stern look.

"We need to talk. Now." Lucille let out. Joseph looked at her in the eyes and said nothing as he crossed his arms.

"I can't believe you decided to eliminate my idol!" Lucille let out, throwing her hands up in the air.

"You know he wasn't going to be in this game forever." Joseph replied calmly, his gaze unwavering.

"I know, but now he has to deal with Terra! And he hates her!" Lucille groaned.

"There are worse things than having to deal with a clown."

"Oh? And what's that?" Lucille asked coldly.

"Having to deal with either Brittany or myself when we're pissed off. Look, Miguel's nice and all, but letting him go was the best choice. Would you rather it be him… or you? I know that sounds harsh, but you have to remember the type of game this is. It's a dog eat dog world, and you have to hold nothing back."

Lucille had tears in her eyes. "I can't believe you right now! You would consider eliminating the cripple. How dreadful." She wheeled herself away angrily, unable to even look at the man.

"That's not what I meant!" Joseph called out, Lucille didn't turn around as she left. With a heavy sigh, he shook his head and began to head inside as well before feeling a hand on his shoulder.

The Tribal Chief turned and saw Brittany looking at him, her eyes cold despite the smile on her face.

"Don't worry about her. She'll get over it." She said simply. Joseph didn't say anything as he continued going inside. "You're right you know! It's a dog eat dog world. Only the toughest can reach the end."

Pretty Peacocks; Walter and Demetrius

Demetrius would look over at his roommate, smirking to himself as he believed that Walter would be the perfect first target to try his hypnotism on. He was actually pretty good at the art of it, never failing to hypnotize a person.

"I'm really happy we won the challenge!" Demetrius looked over at the soldier with a fake smile.

"Yes, it was a formidable test of mental strength and our victory today should motivate us to do better tomorrow!"

"Of course. But perhaps it can be crucial to work with me?" Demetrius remarked, showing him the crystal, swinging it back and forth in front of the soldier. "I believe an alliance would work out, right?"

As his eyes followed the gem, Walter looked much less vibrant as his eyes began to dim.

"Yes." He said, his tone flat and lifeless. "An alliance would be good."

"That's wonderful. You will return to this state whenever you hear me say the word 'Cleopatra.' Whenever you hear me say the word 'Diamond,' you will return to your normal self, with no memory of what just happened. Is that clear?" Demetrius asked.

"Sir, yes sir." The soldier replied, giving a weak salute.

"Excellent. Three…two…one…diamond!" He snapped his fingers, putting away the gem. Walter blinked, and shook his head.

"Hm, I must have dozed off for a moment. I must be more exhausted than I thought."

"Yeah, I guess those early morning workouts must be taking their toll on you." Demetrius lied, his brows furrowing at the thought of that alarm going off. But he hid a wicked smile as he got ready for bed. "Goodnight, Walter."

From his office downstairs, Chris watched some of the previous interactions unfold with a wide smile.

"Hehehe, oh man! Things are getting so good! Tensions are beginning to flare on Team Flamingo as Miguel becomes our third elimination! Will Lucille and Joseph patch things up? What's Brittany's game plan? What's Demetrius's plan with that hypnotism stuff? And will we ever let Abigail and Fernando kiss?
