Chapter 2:
"He suffered a major hit from his head resulting in possible memory loss and could potentially leave him in a coma..."
"But that is not why we brought you General and Ms. Schnee..."
His mind fuzzy but he can hear the voices loud and clear. He didn't know who they were other than the names that were just mentioned.
"Okay then, what's the unexplained situation you were referring to me on the phone Doctor?"
DOCTOR. It struck him like a lightning strike when that name was mentioned but why? He feels like he heard that name before so well and for a different reason.
"When we were completing the check up on him, we ran a scan through and well...this man has two hearts in him."
Another strike to him as the man gasping for air rose like nothing ever happened which surprised everyone in the room. The young man grunts while holding his head in pain as if a thousand nails were going through his brain not remembering anything at all.
The Doctor: Where...am I? What happened?...
Ironwood: Easy there kid, one of my top troops found you floating in a lake and brought you here for medical help. Do you know your name?
His name, he felt it at the tip of his tongue but he couldn't remember it all so he shakes his head in defeat.
Ironwood: It's alright. We're doing our best to help you out until you can begin to remember. Now there is another concern in mind, the doctor here says you have two hearts inside of you?
Winter: How is that even possible? How are you even alive?
He felt another shock enter his body as somehow remembered the reason of living with two hearts.
The Doctor: It's a special condition unlike all of you. For me to be okay I need both hearts in me.
Ironwood, Winter, and the doctor looked at each other with confusion but if they see that the man is breathing normally with two hearts, they won't continue questioning it.
Ironwood: We will let the doctor continue to take care of you for a few more days and depending on your condition, we will assign you to a school academy to maintain a close eye on you. It IS our duty to protect the people here.
A few days have passed by since waking up in the hospital with no recollection of his past life. Little by little he was remembering his knowledge of what he has learned in the past but still no progress in remembering his name nor who he is truly. When Winter came to pick him up, she was in amaze and shock by the young man's knowledge of space and time with so many papers across his hospital room.
Winter: Ahem! Mr. William Smith, what is all this?
The Doctor: The depth into time and space. Time is a structure relative to ourselves. Time is the space made by our lives. It's all a big bunch of...wibbly wobbly timey wimey...stuff.
Winter: *sighs* Okay William, you will need to cool it down today. Ironwood wants you to report to Beacon Academy.
The Doctor: Ah yes, the academy. Then without further ado, Saiko!
As William heads out, Winter stays behind to notice all the notes written and it's already starting to give her a headache. But she notices a drawing left on the bed as she looks at it in confusion to see a grey police box and a robot next to it with a question mark on top of both.
Winter: I wonder who he really is? Or what exactly was he doing at the park after closed hours?
*At Beacon Academy*
The Doctor: Hmm, looks quite like a castle...I don't like it.
Ironwood: Your opinion will sadly will not change the appearance of this school. Here *hands a paper to William* This will be your schedule, if your head begins to hurt or you are not feeling well just head to the nurse.
The Doctor: Can't say no to these so- *hears a crash and looks behind*
Weiss: What are you doing?!
Ruby: *stands up* Uh, sorry!
Weiss: Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?
Ruby: *holding a case* Uhhh...
The Doctor noticed an embarrassed and scared girl with black hair being scolded by a slim girl with long white hair in the form of a pony tail. Looking at her was making him feel hypnotized but that was short lived when he heard more scolding.
Weiss: Give me that! *Grabs the luggage from Ruby and opens it to reveal its contents* This is Dust - mined and purified from the Schnee quarry!
Ruby: Uhhhhh...
Weiss: What are you, brain-dead? *Holding out a vial of red Dust and shutting the case* Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy!
Ruby: I... I know... *starts coughing from the Dust*
Weiss: Are you even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourself?!
It only got worse as Ruby finally sneezes which erupts into an explosion of flame, snowflakes, and electricity right onto Weiss. The bottle she had been holding flies over the courtyard and at the feet of Blake Belladonna, who picks it up and notices as she reads from a book and looks over at the drama as she notices the young man staring at them.
Weiss: Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!
Ruby: I'm really, really sorry!
Weiss: Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?
Now it was getting out of hand and The Doctor knew it was time to break it up as he began walking towards the girls not noticing Blake following him.
The Doctor: Oi! Cut some slack huh?
Weiss: Excuse You! Did you not see what this dolt did to me? *gasp*
She couldn't believe her own eyes seeing the boy she saved from the crash incident a few days back. Unconscious and nearly drowned but now here he is, at Beacon Academy with her.
Weiss: Oh my god, you're awake! And here?
The Doctor: Yes I am, and it's called an accident for what happened. But by the looks of your ego which explains your big head, it seems like you kinda deserved it.
Ruby tried to hold in her laugh as Weiss was getting more boiled at this somehow attractive man with a British voice but his insult brought her back to reality.
Weiss: H-HUH?! HOW DARE YOU?! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO?!
The Doctor: Definitely an Ice Queen. *winks*
Blake: It's heiress, actually.
The Doctor, Ruby, and Weiss look over as Blake approaches with the bottle.
Blake: Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world.
Weiss: *smirks* Finally! Some recognition!
Blake: The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners.
Weiss: *gets angry again as Ruby chuckles* Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!
And so leaves the Ice Queen marching off like a little girl. The Doctor watches her leave as he doesn't notice Ruby and Blake gone by the time he turns back around. But her last name does ring a bell to him.
The Doctor: Schnee? Isn't there someone else I knew named Schnee. Well, good way to start first day of school if I do say so myself.
He began to walk towards the entrance where the others are heading to until he receives numerous flashes and screaming in his head before falling on his knee. Heavy breathing, he couldn't describe much other than seeing destruction, fire, a futuristic room, mechanics, and sparks flying around before seeing a glowing eyestalk.
Yang: Yo! Are you good dude?
The Doctor: Huh! What? *looks up*
Yang: You collapsed for a moment. Do you need to go to the nurse?
The Doctor: N-No I'm good actually. Didn't get enough sleep that's all.
Yang: I feel ya there buddy, makes us feel coffee-less. *giggles*
The Doctor: *confused* What?
Yang: Aw come on! That was pretty funny. Any who, the name's Yang! Yang Xiao Long
The Doctor: Ah, William Smith. *Shakes Yang's hand*
The two continue to walk as they head inside Beacon ready for whatever life is about to bring them but for the four girls he met today, they weren't prepared for when it is time to fully know him.
