Chapter 10:
Hours later and back at Beacon after everything that occurred today, Weiss was in her bed crying from embarrassment after finding out what she had done in the dream world and how she was affected by the Nightmare Grimm.
Weiss: *sniffs* I can't believe Team JNPR and the Professor saw everything. Now everyone at Beacon will know.
Ruby: Nobody's gonna make fun of you Weiss.
Yang: We promise not to tell a single soul about what we saw in your dream.
Blake: I don't think you need to worry so much about it.
Weiss: Blake! How could you say that to me?
The Trio looked at each other and laughed, which embarrassed Weiss even more. She was now redder like a tomato.
Weiss: You promise you won't laugh! You guys are so mean!
The laughs came to an end after hearing a knock on the door. Ruby goes to open it to reveal Team JNPR at the door.
Ruby: Oh, hey guys!
Ren: Mind if we can come in to talk?
Ruby: Uh sure.
Team JNPR heads inside as everyone sits down except for Ren. Weiss didn't know if they were going to talk about her dream world which would officially end her from embarrassment or about the whole situation with the Doctor that occurred after.
Pyrrha: We were with the Professor, and he told us that William left him a note of resignation.
Nora: He prefers being called The Doctor remember?
Yang: Wait, a letter of resignation? So, he just gets his memories back, kill off the Grimms, and decides to bail out.
Blake: And what's with that name all of a sudden? The Doctor?
Ren: As much as I also like to find out the answers to all of this, we really have no clue. Professor Goodwitch already sent out a message to General Ironwood about the whereabouts of William.
Ruby: There's more to this actually. It's gonna be hard to take in but trust me when I say it that I couldn't believe it either.
Everyone looked at Ruby except for Weiss who was listening but decided not to show herself after seeing what transpired at the park with the TARDIS. But what she heard next completely shocked her.
Ruby: When William or The Doctor was taken to the hospital, we found out he has two hearts inside of him.
Pyrrha: No way?!
Jaune: Whoa what?! T-That's impossible! No person can ever-
Ruby: We all thought that too but when we saw the x ray scans and saw how William was, it seemed like he was born with two hearts.
Blake: That's not all. I tried going into the deep archives of the internet trying to figure out the background or any helpful information of where he was from, but nothing appeared. It's like he's not even from this world.
Nora: Hmm okay Watson, so he's either a ghost OR an alien.
Both teams tried thinking of possible explanations until they all got the same idea and looked at the Schnee huntress. She noticed the looks but was unsure if she wanted to tell them what she saw. A magical grey police box disappearing into thin air with William inside. It would make her sound coocoo but then again, they could believe her with everything they have.
Ruby: Weiss.
Weiss: I um...
Yang: When you went searching for him, were you able to see him or find anything to solve all this.
Weiss: *sighs and looks at everyone* I found the motorcycle he was using by the nearest trail park about 10 minutes from here. As I tried looking for him... I heard this mechanic groaning noise and gust of wind and flashes began to appear but once I got to the spot, there was nothing there.
Blake: I'm not one to believe in supernatural or out of this world stuff but... with everything we've gathered, William Smith isn't human at all.
Pyrrha: It's the only possible explanation but...he did become a big help to us in the end. We can try and figure out more in the coming days. It is getting late and we do have class tomorrow. We're not the only ones with thoughts of who William really is. The Professors are also trying to crack the clues, go through the medical records, and talk with people around town.
Ruby: Do you think he will return?
Ren: Only time will tell.
3 WEEKS LATER
The next three weeks remained normal for everyone at Beacon with no changes or updates regarding the Doctor. After a week passed since he was last seen by everyone, he was placed on the Missing category with top military guards, Ozpin, and both Team RWBY and JNPR volunteering to search for him but nothing. When the search was given up, everything returned to normal at Beacon Academy with the boring lectures, team activities, and Grimm Huntings.
They've also had perhaps the greatest battle in Beacon history with their food war. General Ironwood and Winter Schnee did also make a visit to discuss some things with Ozpin as well as Ruby and Yang's Uncle Qrow. This brought concern for Team RWBY considering their recent encounter with Roman Torchwick and the Vytal Festival coming up in the following month and a half. However, one member would not stop thinking about the Time Lord: Weiss. Two nights a week, she would go outside by herself while everyone remains asleep to stargaze and imagine if there is more out there than what they know. She recently had a conversation with her sister about the situation with William.
*Flashback*
Winter: So I take it that you also know about the ongoing situation with William Smith.
Weiss: Yeah...I do dear sister, he was a good friend to my teammates and I, a very caring guy and loves anything to do with space and time. And yet, I screwed everything up because I didn't listen to him and now he's gone.
Winter: It is not your fault Weiss. I heard what happened and while I am disappointed you let something like that happen, William went on his own as I recall that you chased after him. When I would go check up on him, he would have strange notes of what appeared to be a police box, a robot, and planets.
Weiss felt a nerve hit when Winter mentioned the TARDIS considering she saw it in person. It must've been a foggy memory by William to remember it but as for the robot she did not know about.
Winter: I'm sure you have heard of the rare condition he has?
Weiss: Two Hearts...
Winter: It's a miracle for a young man to be alive and well with two hearts.
Weiss: *mumbles* What if he's not human...
*End Flashback*
It would be a lie for Weiss to admit she didn't miss him. She still wanted to apologize for how it all turned out in the end between them. Their argument and the fact that she almost killed him while being possessed. It made her sick and she wanted to cry. She was already deep asleep into the night when she suddenly was awoken by a familiar noise, the same mechanical groaning noise. Getting out of her bed quietly, she looked outside the window and there it was: The TARDIS. Without hesitation, she quietly leaves the room then proceeds to run outside in her night gown only to stop at the sight of a very familiar young man.
Weiss: William?...
The Doctor: Ah! There you are Weiss, sorry for rushing off like that few days ago. Had to test this baby out and give her a redecoration since Grey was not looking good for her after the crash. And please call me The Doctor.
Weiss: Doctor Who?
The Doctor: *chuckles* Ah I love that. Just The Doctor.
Before he could even know it, Weiss jumps to the Doctor hugging him tightly which surprised him but eventually returned the hug.
Weiss: I'm sorry...I am so sorry for everything. For the way I treated you, for not listening to you, for being an egotistical brat, for how I almost killed you, and-
The Doctor: While that's true, you did give me the boost I needed to get my memories back. I feel better than ever and no more headaches. But I'm very glad to see you okay Weiss. I personally thought I would never see this soft side of you again.
That statement made Weiss blush a bit before pulling away from the Doctor and looking at the newly painted blue police box.
Weiss: So, what is this?
The Doctor: It's called the TARDIS: Time And Relative Dimension In Space.
Weiss: So it's an acronym? And you've kept your clothes?
The Doctor: The perfect style for me. Formal with a touch of Casual which is this amazing leather jacket.
Weiss was not going to lie to herself that this new look of the Doctor made him look hot. This man was going to be the death of her if she continues like this.
The Doctor: She's ready to clear off now. Ready to soar through the galaxy and beyond. It took me 3 whole days to work it through, explore around, and redecorate. I've also noticed nothing much has changed.
Weiss: 3 days? Doctor, you were gone for 3 weeks!
The Doctor: Oh! Well, that's a bit embarrassing. Must've let everyone worried about my whereabouts.
Weiss: You did. Wait, how long has it been for you since you last saw us?
The Doctor: Like I said, 3 days. Time works different once you're in there and out of here.
Weiss: Are you an alien?
The Doctor: Ouch! That word certainly hurts but yes, I'm from another planet from another universe.
Weiss: What?!
The Doctor: So, TARDIS! Do you wanna come in or not?
Weiss: W-Wait? You're asking me to come with you?
The Doctor: Mhm!
Weiss: In your Police Box?
The Doctor: Yes, and believe me, the size of the inside is not what you think.
Weiss looked at him confused as to what he is trying to say exactly. The Doctor would then open the door of his TARDIS with a snap of his fingers as Weiss walks inside to her utter disbelief. It was no ordinary police box, it looked futuristic on the inside and it is HUGE! The Doctor smiles as he follows in and proceeds to work on the navigation controls as Weiss continues to look around.
Weiss: N-No way...Am I dreaming?
The Doctor: You are certainly not! This is how the TARDIS is on the inside.
Weiss: I-It's HUGE! B-Bigger on the inside than the Outside!
Weiss was at complete loss for words, she noticed a second floor with lots of books around while the rest of it looked like a future spaceship. She runs back outside to see the same small police box before running back inside.
The Doctor: So, coming? Yes or No?
Weiss: To where?!
The Doctor: Anywhere you want! Past, Future, or even out there in Space. Other planets like this one.
Weiss: L-Let me change! *Runs back to the Dorms*
There was truly more than meets the eye for Weiss Schnee and she was not going to miss this opportunity. She didn't know how long she'll be gone but if time works differently with the Doctor, then maybe it won't change much here. She heads back to the TARDIS with only her Scroll and Myrtenaster.
Weiss: What about my friends and family? Shouldn't I leave them a note?
The Doctor: Oh you'll be fine. No one will notice you were gone when you return. Trust me! *smiles*
Weiss: I'm still having a hard time trying to reel all this in. What else is there?
The Doctor: Well-
Dalek Khan: DOCTOR
The Doctor was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a bronze metallic robot which noticed Weiss causing her to freak out.
Dalek Khan: INTRUDER! IDENTIFY YOURSELF!
Weiss: WHAT IS THAT? DOCTOR, WHAT IS THAT THING?
The Doctor: Okay, Okay! Everyone remain calm! No need to start causing havoc here. Weiss Schnee, this is Dalek Khan. Dalek Khan, this is Weiss Schnee.
Dalek Khan: EXPLAIN?
The Doctor: She is a good friend of mine while I was trapped here on Earth.
The Dalek inspected Weiss before heading to her which freaked her out a bit.
Dalek Khan: I THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF THE DOCTOR.
Weiss: Y-Yeah sure...No problem! *Smiles awkwardly*
The Doctor: You remember when I told you I was running away from something when I was still trying to get my memories? I was wrong, I wasn't running away from a Dalek, I was running with him. He's my first companion, my Dalek friend, and my Co-pilot to the TARDIS!
Weiss: O-Oh...
Dalek Khan: I WILL NOT HARM ANY FRIENDS OF THE DOCTOR BUT BETRAY OR HURT HIM, YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!
The Doctor: Calm down you tin head. Oh, and he's not a robot, that's actually his armor.
Weiss: *Eyes widen* So you're saying inside of that is an alien?
Dalek Khan: CORRECT!
Weiss: This...is...a lot... to take in...
The Doctor: Don't faint on me now! We're just getting started.
The Doctor proceeds to shut the doors of the TARDIS as Dalek Khan begins to calculate the navigations.
The Doctor: You said anywhere; I'll give you an easy trip for your first time. Are we looking good Khan?
Dalek Khan: THE TARDIS IS READY FOR LIFTOFF!
Taking a huge deep breath, Weiss walks right next to the Doctor still freaking out about everything that was going around her. Noticing her nervousness, the Doctor holds her hand to calm her down and gives her a smile which catches her blushing again.
The Doctor: Don't you worry about what's to become a part of your life. You are always safe as long as you're with me.
Weiss felt that deep into her heart as she nods back in agreement and feels ready for what she is about to witness with the Doctor.
Weiss: I'm ready!
The Doctor: In that case, Off We Go!
The Doctor pulls down the control lever as the TARDIS shakes for a moment inside and it begins to disappear from outside, ready for a new adventure. Off into the beyond.
