Chapter 12:
Weiss: I'm...on...another...planet?
The Doctor: First time for everything. Cmon! I'll show you around.
Dalek Khan: DO NOT FORGET MY ORDER!
The Doctor: Got it!
Weiss: Wait, you're not coming with us Khan?
Dalek Khan: I MUST STAY AND PROTECT THE TARDIS UNTIL YOU RETURN!
The Doctor: Or could be he just wants to remain in his room. *chuckles*
Dalek Khan: I HEARD THAT! *Closes door*
Weiss and the Doctor explored the city as Weiss was still in disbelief and shock. This was not what she expected when she thought of aliens and planets. To make it more shocking, there's actual beings that look like humans.
Weiss: Looking at movies and books, I've always thought other life on other planets would be...futuristic and not human like as well.
The Doctor: Well, there are some places like that, but most places are like back on Earth. Normal civilization living normal lives. Not all aliens are how all of you imagine them. Look at me, I look human yet I'm not.
The Doctor and Weiss continued to walk around town until they came by a flea market as the Doctor would greet some of the aliens in different languages leaving a confused Weiss. Everything she thought about life outside of Earth was now all wrong, it just feels like she's still on Earth.
The Doctor: Here! *Hands her an ice cream*
Weiss: Wha...is this?
The Doctor: It's like ice cream but it's a fruit flavor kind.
Weiss at first was reluctant by how it appeared which was very creamy and a little slime but when she tried it, she felt the taste of heaven.
Weiss: WOW! This is amazingly good!
The Doctor: Never judge a book by its cover, especially if it's sweet. *Chuckles and eats my Ice cream*
The pair continued to walk around town for a while before taking a small break. Weiss was finishing a second cup of perhaps the greatest ice cream she has ever tasted.
The Doctor: You good there ice queen?
Weiss: Well, to recap everything so far: You're from another planet with a Dalek and a time traveling machine, we're on another planet filled with people, AND I just had the best ice cream yet. Are you sure I'm not going to wake up suddenly and find out this was all a dream?
The Doctor: *smiles* This is all real Weiss Schnee. You are getting to experience a bit of what it is like to explore more out there with a time lord.
Weiss: I'm still trying to take all this in but...Wow! This is beyond something else! I'm just concerned about everyone at home when they find out I'm missing. *grunts*
The Doctor: You're not going to be missing Weiss trust me. It's like I explained to you, time works differently outside of Earth.
Weiss: Doctor?
The Doctor: Hmm?
Weiss: I um...I would like to do this more.
The Doctor: *smiles* Then we will. As of today, we're gonna go on more adventures together AND we can bring your team as well.
Weiss: Oh!...Yeah! They can join later! *Smiles awkwardly*
Their conversation was cut when they noticed a type of force shield appearing from the sky and surrounding the entire town. Weiss was beginning to get worried, but the Doctor remained calm as he points her to the townspeople who are normal about it. He walks to one of the flea market vendors and has a small conversation while Weiss watches but also notices a group of hooded beings walking into a small alleyway concerning her.
The Doctor: No need to panic Weiss. I just talked to one of the townsfolk here and it's an annual type of event. Explains why they are having such a huge flea market event.
Weiss: What's going on?
The Doctor: This shield is activated around the entire planet to prevent solar flares from impacting and burning this planet. When intense magnetic fields on the Sun become too tangled. Like a rubber band that snaps when it is twisted too far, the tangled magnetic fields release energy when they snap.
Weiss: So, what's with the people having a flea market.
The Doctor: Well, it's a phenomenon people get to enjoy watching. This shield seems to protect the planet and has a special kind of vision protection for the people to watch the flare pass by.
Weiss: But wouldn't the solar flare shut down the energy of the force shield?
The Doctor would pull out his sonic screwdriver and scan the force shield.
The Doctor: Seems like this planet has developed a kind of energy that wouldn't be affected by solar flares. Advanced if you ask me.
Weiss: Well, that's not the only thing concerning me. *Stands up and points to the alleyway* There was a group of hooded people heading towards there.
The Doctor: That doesn't seem too good at all. Head back to the TARDIS with Dalek Khan while I check it out.
Weiss: I'm going with you Doctor!
The Doctor: Uh no, you're not. We don't know what these strangers are planning, and they could be dangerous. I don't wanna risk getting you hurt.
Weiss: *pulls out Myrtenaster* Did you forget you got a Huntress with you?
The Doctor finally realized she's one of those kinds of people and really couldn't do anything but to let her come.
The Doctor: Fine but stay close to me okay?
Weiss: Got it.
The Doctor: *calls Dalek Khan* Khan are you there?
Dalek Khan: DOCTOR!
The Doctor: Weiss found some unusual activity and we are going to investigate. Make sure the TARDIS is protected at all cost!
Dalek Khan: UNDERSTOOD! CALL FOR ME IF YOU NEED ASSISSTANCE!
The Doctor: Will do! *Hangs up*
The Doctor and Weiss proceeded to go through the alleyway to find any sightings of the hooded group. Weiss managed to get a peek of a hooded figure before disappearing as she headed towards that direction with the Doctor following her. Once they get there, the Doctor stops her and signals to stay quiet as he tries to listen from the door about the conversation that is happening inside.
Hooded Figure #1: The time is near as we begin our ascension to the light. These blind fools do not understand that our time is now. Have you located the switch Brother Cabriz?
Cabriz: I have Brother Azure. The flare that shall ascend us will make impact in 30 minutes from now. Within the last 10 minutes of our lives, we shall deactivate it. The people of this planet won't be able to evacuate on sight with their solar flare approaching destroying all energy and we shall be reborn into the light!
Azure: We must prepare our rituals and head to the location of deactivating the force shield. Our time is now.
The Doctor and Weiss heard everything as they began to figure out a plan while leaning away to prevent being captured.
Weiss: I'd say we fight them here and now! If we stop them, they won't reach the switch.
The Doctor: We don't know how many of them there are. If we stay and fight, there could be others going to deactivate while the others stall us. We need to find where the force shield switch is held and prevent any of them from getting to it.
Weiss: We can fight them there OF COURSE!
The Doctor: The main goal is to prevent this cult from getting to it and saving all these people and this planet!
They were about to head off until they noticed hooded figures surrounding them. About 5 to 6 of them appeared from out of nowhere as they brought out different weapons to hold both the time lord and huntress hostage.
The Doctor: Well then, isn't today your lucky day?
Hooded Figure #3: You will come with us. You will not let the ascension be stopped!
Weiss: WHAT ASCENSION! THIS IS MASS GENOCIDE!
Hooded Figure #3: SILENCE! Speak one more time and I will gladly shut down your voice!
The Doctor: *Whispers* Don't worry, I got us a plan. AHEM! Take us to your leader!
Weiss looked at the Doctor in a questionable look considering he's not fighting back but easily accepts being taken. But she does notice his confident smirk meaning he does have something planned beyond what he said. The Doctor and Weiss then followed the cult as they headed back to the base of Azure and Cabriz not knowing the Doctor sent out a signal from his sonic screwdriver. That signal is led back to the TARDIS as the door opens to reveal the Dalek coming out.
Dalek Khan: YOU WILL OBEY AND STAY HERE! I WILL RETURN WITH THE DOCTOR AND HIS COMPANION!
The TARDIS from the inside lets out a few electronic noises of beeps and boops as it closes its door in front of the Dalek as he begins to make his way to the city in rescuing the Doctor and Weiss.
Dalek Khan: I AM COMING DOCTOR!
