Chapter 14:
Weiss: Dear Winter, I hope you are finding yourself well. I know you probably won't be able to read this when it comes to the mail but that's okay. My time here at Beacon since I last saw you has been amazing to say the least. Per starters, I have been doing so well academically and I am so close to becoming a full huntress. I have my team who are also my best friends: Ruby, Blake, and Yang with Ruby being the team leader. We have proven to be really great as a team, especially with our combo finisher. I've also begun to go on some great adventures.
As Weiss continued writing her letter to her sister, she remembered the adventures she'd had with the Doctor in the last few days. Most were smooth sailing but there were a few risky ones.
Weiss: The adventures I had so far were amazing and fun to be a part of, although there were a few incidents we had to deal with but didn't stop us. Later today, we're going to explore a really nice place that's pretty much like a beach. I'll make sure to send you pictures and don't worry Winter, I'll be alright. Best of luck and I love you. Your dear sister, Weiss.
Weiss finishes the letter before placing it on the envelope and grabs a backpack to take with her. So far, it's just been her and the Doctor which is how she wants it for right now but eventually her teammates will come as well. Just as she's about to head out, she spots her teammates arriving back at the dorms.
Weiss: G-Guys?! You're here early!
Yang: Yeah! There actually wasn't that much to do in the library so we finished early.
Blake: Um, where are you going?
Weiss: O-Oh! I'm gonna drop off my letter for Winter.
Ruby: Oh okay! You want us to come with?
Weiss: NO! I mean t-thank you, but I'll be back soon. Just a quick trip, that's all. I'll be back by dinnertime BYE! *Runs off*
Yang: Oooookay then?
Blake: She is definitely hiding something from us.
Yang: And she's been acting off recently, like every time we are done with something she just leaves.
Ruby: This sounds like a perfect time to play Spy!
Blake: I don't think that's a good idea Ruby.
Yang: I'M DOWN!
The sisters continued their plan for spying on the heiress as Blake watches in disapproval knowing she'll have to join on their little game. And so, the game began as Team RBY began to follow Weiss with the thanks of Ruby's semblance to move out of sight real fast even though Blake feels like she's gonna throw up. When they spy on Weiss again, they do notice she's at the post office.
Ruby: Oh...
Yang: That's it!
Blake: She wasn't kidding, she even had her envelope there.
Yang: Which means she's probably going to do her boring stuff as usual.
Ruby: WAIT! She's running to the park!
The Bumbleby duo look at where Ruby is pointing, and they do see Weiss rushing to the park. They all look at each other and make a run for it to follow her. Meanwhile, Weiss continues going deep in the forest area of the park until she stops to see what's in front of her: the TARDIS! With a big smile, she goes to knock on the door and out comes the Doctor.
The Doctor: You're here 5 minutes early.
Weiss: Well, I was in a rush plus I really want to go now to that beach planet.
The Doctor: *smiles* Well then come in Ms. Schnee.
Weiss: Why thank you! Hi Khan!
Dalek Khan: GOOD TO SEE YOU WEISS SCHNEE!
The Doctor: Get the coordinates ready Khan! Another day of fun adventure. Just hoping we can for once have a relaxing one.
Dalek Khan: TARDIS READY FOR LIFTOFF!
Yang: Where she run off to?
Blake: I think this way! Cmon!
The Doctor: Now then, Off We Go!
And so, the TARDIS begins disappearing into thin air just as Weiss teammates arrive only to see nothing around.
Blake: You guys heard that right?
Ruby: But there's nothing around.
Yang: And we pretty much lost Weiss!
Ruby: Do you think she had to be involved with that noise? After all, it sounded like what she heard when...looking for William...
Blake: Let's head back to the dorms and think of a new plan. I believe Weiss is hiding something big from us.
Meanwhile back in the TARDIS, Weiss "reads" another book of the Doctor's collection as she observes the young time lord. He is handsome alright, but he's also very kind and hopeful. He doesn't give up when it matters most and despite all the odds, he still does everything to save everyone. Not to mention all the beautiful and wonderful things she's learned and been shown about time and space. She's happy to have him as a friend but she hopes there can be more than just friends in the future.
The Doctor: *smiles* Need something?
Weiss: O-OH?! N-No, I was just observing. *blushes*
The Doctor: By the way, I got Khan's gun fixed up. Now he can also set his weapon to stun mode.
Weiss: That's good, I guess. I'm guessing you're not one for killing.
Dalek Khan: UNLESS ITS A THREAT! ENEMIES SHALL BE STUNNED!
The Doctor: Killing really isn't my thing and I have never killed anyone. Pretty much unless it's a big threat or the last option left, no one else should die.
Weiss: I know you wish for that and trust me I do as well. But unfortunately, even out there, there's some bad people who won't accept peace or second chances. Look at Azure and Cadriz, they didn't care about the innocent lives they were going to kill for their "ascension".
The Doctor: You are right...but I still believe that killing won't always resolve the issue. *sighs* I'm sorry Weiss. Every now and then, I get post effects from the Time War.
Weiss could tell by the look on his face whenever he feels down or exhausted. He doesn't want anyone to go through what he did, which is why he is always motivated to do what is right. So much weight on his shoulder she wishes there were more ways of helping him.
Dalek Khan: DO NOT BE DOWN DOCTOR! WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Weiss: Khan is right. He's been your friend and partner in crime since escaping the war. Then you got me as your newest companion.
The Doctor smiles at the Dalek and Huntress knowing that he is building a family of his own and to be a part of. With Dalek Khan, it took a little while of bonding and earning each other's trust, but it worked out in the end as they consider themselves to be good cop and bad cop. With Weiss, all it took was one look at her and the Doctor felt hypnotized. But also, the friendship they have been building along the way has proven how close they are getting.
The Doctor: Well then you two, we have arrived!
The TARDIS arrive in a place that looks like the beach as the trio come out to the beautiful view of the sun and the planet's ocean.
Weiss: This place...is absolutely breathtaking.
The Doctor: Weiss Schnee, welcome to Fallswell Bay!
Weiss: I'm...I'm gonna go change. *Runs off*
Dalek Khan: I WILL GRAB US DRINKS!
After some unique adventures and risky involvements, this was a must needed break for the Doctor. Saving the universe and traveling all around space and back in time, it can get exhausting sometimes. Weiss had already returned with her swimsuit which caused the Doctor to blush a bit but thankfully was able to hide it.
Weiss: What do you think Doctor?
The Doctor: Well, uh...you...look fantastic!
Weiss: *blushes* T-Thanks! Wait, where's Khan?
The Doctor: He's probably exploring around and grabbing some drinks as well.
Weiss: Aren't you concerned that people here are going to freak out over a Dalek strolling around.
The Doctor: Daleks don't exist in your universe Weiss. When I got memories back, one of the first things we did was to make sure there were no other Daleks around. So, to everyone else, he is just a new alien passing by.
Weiss: How does he feel?
The Doctor: It really doesn't matter much to him. His only goal in the beginning was to get a second chance and he's earned it. No more hatred or desire to kill and conquer. Now he's out here exploring new places with friends.
Dalek Khan: DOCTOR! DRINKS!
The Doctor: Speaking of Khan, thanks.
Weiss: You got us drinks? Didn't know Daleks had money.
Dalek Khan: I DON'T! I STOLE FROM THE DOCTOR!
The Doctor: *Spits out drink* YOU WHAT?!
Weiss: *laughs* Okay that was smart and funny.
The Doctor: I WAS JUST TALKING NICE ABOUT YOU!
Dalek Khan: REPEAT IT!
The Doctor: NO!
For a while, the Doctor and Dalek Khan would lecture Weiss about everything there is to know of the TARDIS, space, and time which she took notes of in her special notebook titled, "Adventures of Time and Space" and it has helped her with astronomy class. Then she went on for a swim and the water had never felt so good while the Doctor would read a book on the beach and Dalek Khan returned to the TARDIS.
Weiss: You're missing out party pooper!
The Doctor: Not really. I'm perfectly fine here reading this book and enjoying the view in front of me.
Weiss turned completely red realizing she's the view of the Doctor while the Doctor was looking at the sun beginning to set. Weiss without any explanation splashes water on the Doctor.
The Doctor: OI!
Weiss: Don't Oi Me! You made me do it!
The Doctor: Oh! It's on now Schnee.
The Doctor would run into the water to begin a water fight with Weiss as the duo had fun messing with each other for a good while until it was almost sunset. For what was a very fun and relaxing day, it was very needed.
While the Doctor and Weiss continued watching the sunset, they continued talking and learning more about each other. The Doctor felt sad hearing Weiss's life and why she always has high expectations to be the perfect huntress to represent her family. He also had this feeling of punching her father in the face.
The Doctor: Seems like rock bottom most of your life.
Weiss: It is but it's the Schnee standard! Beginning with my grandfather and now I continue it.
The Doctor: But is it what you really want? What do you desire?
Weiss: As a matter of fact, I...*thinks*
There it was once again, the Doctor asking Weiss a life question making her rethink everything.
The Doctor: You are doing what you are told but not what you desire or like. I can tell by your eyes and the way you explained it to me.
Weiss: Well maybe not all of them. I do want to be like my sister Winter, and I do want to be one of the greatest huntresses.
The Doctor: The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Weiss: *sighs and smiles* There you go again with your inspirational speeches. They are powerful as well to have someone like me have second thoughts on my decisions.
The Doctor: I'm just simply making sure people live their lives to their fullest. This universe has so much to see and learn. Not all the time it's about saving people, I like to be out there exploring the galaxies and beyond.
Weiss: I figured with your stargazing, astronomy class, and all the books and notes you had about space time. Now that you have finally remembered who you are, it's so much more than that.
The Doctor smiles at Weiss as he looks out at the night sky slowly appearing and notices Weiss beginning to feel cold. He quickly takes off his leather jacket and wraps it around her which she is surprised by.
The Doctor: You look like you needed to warm up a bit Ice Queen. *smiles*
Weiss: *blushes and smiles back* T-Thanks. Doctor, can I ask you something?
The Doctor: Always.
Weiss: What would've happened if you travelled alone?
A question many have asked the Doctor before even Dalek Khan has asked. He already knew his answer and it's one that does bother him because he knows it's a scenario that would be closely accurate.
The Doctor: Well, considering I'm all alone after surviving the Great Time War; I would perhaps take a dark turn. I would still have that goal to save people, but it would be a much different approach.
Weiss was shocked by this sudden response as she expected to hear him say he would still be alright even exploring alone but no. Instead, she could tell he would have eventually become something worse. The name he has would not bring hope but fear.
The Doctor: That's why I'm glad I have you and Dalek Khan. I lost my family, I'm gonna make sure I won't lose either of you.
Weiss: You are the Doctor after all.
The Doctor: Anyone can be the Doctor Weiss, being the Doctor is someone who has a goal that can change millions of lives for good. Whether curing lives, saving lives, or like me exploring the universe to even the smallest of things like helping others. *Waves my sonic screwdriver*
Weiss: What exactly is that, Doctor?
The Doctor: This is my sonic screwdriver, it is a very highly versatile tool that can do many features as you've seen already: picking locks, denotating objects, frying circuits, scanning, and hacking into technology. Just to name a few.
Weiss: Our technology is advanced but nowhere near yours. Not to mention, I nearly got fried using that screwdriver.
The Doctor: It's got its fault, sometimes when we don't use it properly either, but I will keep showing you how to use it. Maybe one day you'll have your own Sonic.
Weiss: *giggles* Never thought that at the same time I'm training to be a huntress, I would be exploring the universe with a Gentleman and his blue box.
The Doctor: *smiles* Well there's still a lot more to go.
The Huntress smiles back at the Doctor as they both continued watching the night sky before it was time to head back home. After changing back into her original outfit, the Doctor also let her keep his leather jacket since he's got spare jackets around which Weiss secretly was happy about as she places the jacket on.
The Doctor: And back home we are! I was wondering if perhaps tomorrow we take a little break from space travelling and go time travelling instead?
Weiss: *exits the TARDIS* So a fun history trip, count me in. *smiles* Thanks for today, I really had an amazing time.
The Doctor: Trying to be the King of Fun as well. We'll revisit there again in the future. Seems like we were gone for a couple of hours.
Weiss: Don't worry about it, my friends knew I was going out. They just didn't know it was going to be with you.
The Doctor: And yet you say you're the most responsible and well-trained girl here. *chuckles*
Weiss: *giggles and smiles* Goodnight Doctor.
The Doctor: Night Weiss! *Closes the door*
Weiss watched the TARDIS disappear before her eyes before walking out of the park and back to the dorms. As she returns, she notices the rest of her team asleep which is a relief for her considering they would have interrogated her about where she's been. Looking at the jacket from the Doctor, she smiles at the time of her life with him before placing it down near her bed and heading to the bathroom to shower and change. Once the door closed, locked, and the water turned on, her teammates got all up and noticed the jacket.
Yang: No way she didn't...
Ruby: She went on a date! Weiss went on a date!
Blake: So that's what she's been up to. There's definitely more to do this but it looks like she's meeting up with someone at the park.
Ruby: We have a free period tomorrow. Let's spy again and meet her new boyfriend!
Blake: Yeah...I don't think that's a good idea. Invasion of privacy and trust if you ask me.
Yang: Aw come on Blakey, sooner or later she's gonna tell us. Plus, we gotta see who's the guy that actually fell for her.
Blake thinks about it before sighing in defeat and agrees with the sisters' plans. Tomorrow is going to be quite a day for Team RWBY.
