Chapter 10: Arriving In Hoenn's Harbor! Welcome To Slateport City!
After finding the unknown scanner on the abandoned S.S. Cactus thanks to Lopunny, Michael and decide to finish their ocean trek to Slateport City. The party quickly left the abandoned ship and continued east along Route 108, then north on Route 109 before finally arriving on Slateport City's beach.
Michael - "Here we are girls. Welcome to Slateport City."
The girls took in the sights along the beach.
Ruby - "Wow! And I thought the beach at Cianwood Town was big. But it pales in comparison to here."
Weiss - "So what are we gonna do for now Michael?"
Michael - "For now... We're gonna take a beach day."
Roxanne - "Are you sure about this?"
Clair - "To be honest Roxanne. We've been traveling across 5 consecutive water Routes over the last two days. I wouldn't mind relax here on the beach for the rest of today."
Rarity - "You are still delivering the package and scanner to Captain Stern tomorrow, right Michael?"
Michael - "Of course I am. After breakfast tomorrow, we'll head over to the shipyard and hand these over to him."
Michael then brought out his massive tent and got it set up.
Michael - "Now before we get moving. Let's get thing really for BEFORE we start heading north to Mauville City. First, we're gonna head to the Pokémon Center and have lunch there, along with getting our Pokémon healed up. After that, we'll split up and meet back at the tent. Weiss, Roxanne, Clair, AJ, and Bea. You five are gonna take a quick stock of our current supplies, then head to the Poké Mart and restock. Meanwhile, the rest of us will head to Slateport's Seaside Market and see what they have. After that, we return to the tent, then enjoy the rest of the day on the beach. Any questions?"
The girls said nothing as they were all completely fine with Michael's plan.
Michael - "Alright then. Now let's go eat, then enjoy ourselves for the rest of the day."
Girls - "Right!"
Soon the entire party made their way over to the Pokémon Center to get their Pokémon healed, along with a bite to eat. After lunch was over, the party split up and went to do their respective tasks. Group A, led by Weiss headed around the Pokémon Center and entered the Poké Mart, making sure they had enough supplies till they reached Mauville City. Meanwhile, Group B, led by Michael, entered and walked along the different stalls of the Seaside Market. Michael's group didn't get a lot, but he did get a Skitty doll for Delcatty, as well as a Vitamin bottles for HP Up, Protein, Iron, Zinc, and Carbos.
(AN: When using the Vitamins, Protein and Calcium are depending which is higher between Attack and Special Attack. Also Move Set limits are being changed: Mixed is now if difference between Attack and Special Attack is within 25 of each other. Mostly Physical/Special is now if the difference is between 26-50, and finally Purely Physical/Special is now if the difference is 51 or greater.)
Once the purchases were made, both groups made their way back to the tent on the beach.
Michael - "You guys get everything we need?"
Weiss - "Yes we made sure too. But something tells me we'll have to get twice as much as what we need for the trip between Mauville City and Lavaridge Town."
Roxanne - "No questions that has to be due to Team Aqua and Team Magma doing something."
Michael - "We'll take care of that when the time comes. For now, let's just enjoy the rest of our beach day."
Michael then let the girls enter the tent first so they could have their privacy while changing. After a few minutes, the girls all came out in their bikinis and spread out along the beach. Michael then entered the tent and changed himself, switching his normal clothes in for a pair of purple swim trunks with silver trim. When he came out of the tent, he couldn't help but chuckle as the girls of the party that he had a relationship with were massively blushing upon seeing his physique. Michael then brought his Pokémon.
Michael - "Enjoy the beach everyone. We're relaxing today."
Soon Michael and his Pokémon joined the girls on the beach. For the rest of the day, everyone had fun and loved the peaceful day after nonstop travel since arriving in Hoenn. During dinner that night, they decided to expand the kitchen and dining areas out onto the beach.
Roxanne - "I'll admit I didn't know Michael could cook."
Applejack - "Oh trust us, Roxanne. You're missing out on a good meal if you haven't tried Michael's cooking."
Clair - "Who else of you guys can cook as good as Michael?"
Rarity - "Pretty much Fluttershy and Blake. But most of the time they assist Michael when he cooks."
Michael then brought the dinner he had cooked over to the table.
Michael - "Eat up girls. No point in letting my hard work get cold here."
Girls - "Yes sir!"
Michael had also gone around and made sure everyone's Pokémon was fed as well.
Bea - "Can I ask you something Michael?"
Michael - "Sure Bea. What is it?"
Bea - "The food bowls our Pokémon are eating out of. How did you create them?"
Michael - "They're actually a project Akira and I worked on before I started as a Trainer."
Whitney - "I'm guessing you and all seven of your sisters worked on the Pokémon food they're eating too?"
Michael - "Hit the nail on the head Whitney. My sisters and I worked together to study the diets of every known Pokémon in the entire world, then we created the Pokémon food based on those studies."
Roxanne - "I see the food has different color shavings in them."
Weiss - "That's to help tell what Types the Pokémon has. Most Pure-Type Pokémon like Delcatty and Lopunny have just Normal-Type food in their shared bowl. But then you have Dual-Type Pokémon like Swampert and Empoleon. Sure they both have a Primary Water-Typing, But their Secondary-Typing of Ground and Steel cause them to have different bowls."
Ruby - "I've been meaning to ask Michael. But how did you solve the food balance problem for Dragcaria?"
Pinkie - "Yeah that must've been a challenge."
Michael - "At first, I thought it would be too. But after some planning with Akira, we came to a quick answer."
Bae - "What did you both decide on?"
Michael - "To expand on the Dual-Type bowl and turn it into a Tri-Type one. As of since I returned from Kanto, it's the only one of its kind."
Applejack - "Fitting since Dragcaria's the lone recorded Tri-Type Pokémon of her kind as well."
Michael - "Anyway, it's getting late. What say we get to sleep and be ready for tomorrow?"
The girls quickly agreed. Michael then returned the tent to its normal shape before everyone went to bed. Then during the following morning, the entire party had breakfast, then the tent was packed up, followed by everyone making their way over to the shipyard. While they were walking towards the Shipyard's entrance, Ruby noticed a line of people near the Maritime Museum. She then got a bit worried upon taking a closer look at them.
Ruby - "Michael...?"
Michael - "What's wrong Ruby?"
Ruby pointed towards the people she had been looking at. Michael then came over to see where she was pointing to and groaned.
Michael - "Just great..."
Clair - "What is it?"
Michael - "Come take a look."
The rest of the girls walked to see what Ruby and Michael were looking at.
Roxanne - "What's Team Aqua doing here?"
Michael - "Either learning about there team's ultimate motive, or something much more sinister. But, for now, they aren't out concern."
Rarity - "Michael's right. Let's go give the package and scanner to Captain Stern."
The party walked into the shipyard looking for Captain Stern. They then decided to ask someone for help since they never bothered to ask for a description of the captain.
Michael - "Excuse me sir?"
? - "Yes, young man. Name's Lieutenant Sully by the way."
Michael - "Apologies Lieutenant Sully. My friends and I are here to deliver a package for Captain Stern on behalf of Devon Corp and it's President Stuart Stone."
Lt. Sully - "Ah well sorry about that. But Cp. Stern isn't here right now."
Roxanne - "Where is he then?"
Lt. Sully - "He's at the museum right now."
Michael and the girls took a few moments to register what they were told. Then it finally hit them.
Michael - "Ah crab baskets."
