Chapter 18: Battle Atop Mt. Chimney! Vs. Leaders Archie AND Maxie!
Having arrived back in Mauville City, the party quickly made their way to the Pokémon Center to heal up for the massive battle that would take place on the peak of Mt. Chimney.
Ruby - "You think we should stock up on supplies Michael?"
Michael - "Not 100% sure. Weiss. We have enough supplies till we reach Lavaridge Town?"
Weiss - "It should last for the time being."
Michael - "Good. Then let's move out ladies!"
Girls - "Right!"
Soon the party quickly exited Mauville City and once again headed north towards Lavaridge Town. Upon reaching the lower entrance to the cable cars, they saw that the pair of Team Magma grunts were gone.
Clair - "Guess that means Maxie's returned with the Meteorite already."
Michael - "There's still time. Come on."
The party rushed inside, where they were stopped by an attendant.
Attendant - "Sorry. But the cable car can only take so many people at a time."
Michael - "How many?"
Attentent - "Five at the most. But don't worry. Since you guys are here to stop Team Aqua AND Team Magma, I'll have the cable car move as fast as it can for you all."
Flannery - "Thank you."
After a few minutes of the cable car quickly speeding back and forth between the foot and peak of Mt. Chimney, the party quickly made their way to find numerous Team Aqua AND Team Magma grunts blocking their way.
Rarity - "Michael darling. What are we supposed to do here?"
Michael - "Simple my dear Rarity. We smash our way through them!"
Soon the party was quickly making their way through the massive horde of grunts. After a few moments, they were stopped by both Team's Respective female Admin, Courtney and Shelly.
Shelly - "Well, well! So this is the brat that's given our bosses a good amount of trouble! Nice to see that you and your friends have come all the way here! But you're just too late! we've already delivered the Meteorite to Archie and Maxie! Shall we show him a world of pain Courtney?"
Courtney - "Let's Shelly."
Shelly/Courtney - "Go Mightyena!"
Michael - "Espeon, Tundra, I choose you!"
Michael activated his Battle Disk, which caused an aura to surround Courtney and Shelly's Pokémon.

Shelly - "But why would you do that?"
Michael - "You'll see."

Espeon and Tundra gave a quick glance towards Michael, fully trusting in his decision.".

Sadly, Courtney's moral victory was short lived as Espeon quickly fired off her combo attack, hitting and knocking out Numel.

Shelly - "I swear that brat's mocking us."

Michael - "Resist Reverse, Immune Negate, and Special Sword!"
Shelly - "And just what do these cards do?"
Michael - "Simple really. Resist Reverse makes it so that if my opponent's Pokémon were to take damage from a move they resist, it makes it so that they take double the normal instead for the three turns it's active. Immune Negate does the same thing, but with type immunities instead. And Special Sword doubles the power of ALL Special Attacks my Pokémon know for three turns."
Courtney - "But that means..."
Michael - "That means you both have officially lost this battle. Tundra! Dazzling Dark Ice Sensory! Espeon! Dazzling Psy Shadow Gem!"

Shelly - "Even if we lost, if our leaders awaken those things..."

Michael silently returned Tundra and Espeon to their Premier Balls. He then walked over and knelt in between the female duo.
Michael - "I want the both of you to remember this cause I'll only say it once. You both think you and your teams are doing the right thing. But trust me. You're not. All awakening Lady Kyogre and Lord Groudon will do...Is destroy everything we hold dear."
Michael then stood back up and ran towards Archie and Maxie to stop them, the girls quickly following them. As for Shelly and Courtney, both women were beginning to believe that their team's goals weren't so grand anymore. Meanwhile, Michael slid to a stop in front of the two Team Leaders.
Michael - "Archie! Maxie! That's far enough!"
Both leaders turned towards Michael.
Maxie - "I take it this is young Michael then Archie?"
Archie - "Yes, he is Maxie. And sorry kiddo! But as far as the two of us see it, you're nothing but a thorn in both of our sides! So we decided to team up to take you down!"
Maxie - "He's right! And with the power contained in this Meteorite, we both shall be able to bring our team's respective goals to fruition!"
Michael quickly noticed the machine the Meteorite was in, which seemed to be storing energy inside the Meteorite itself.
Michael - "Then the time for talk is over."
Archie/Maxie - "We couldn't agree more. Go Mightyena!"
Michael - "Delcatty, Flygon, I choose you!"
Michael activated his Battle Disk, which caused an aura to surround Archie and Maxie's Pokémon.

Delcatty quickly hopped on Flygon's back. Flygon then quickly took to the sky to help her and Delcatty avoid their opponent's respective attacks. Then the duo fired off their own attacks, hitting their respective opponents and knocking them out, along with ending their Mega Evolutions.

Archie - "What?!"
Maxie - "We were caught off guard?!"

Archie - "Why that little...!"
Maxie - "That's enough Archie. We'll back off this time Michael. But don't think for a sec that this is the last you and your friends have seen of Team Aqua OR Team Magma."
Archie - "That's right. Even without the Meteorite, as long as we obtain that orb..."
Michael and the girls silently watched as both leaders ordered their team off of Mt. Chimney.
