Killian was at the wheel of his ship, considering beaching it on a sandbar. His ship seemed pretty pleased with herself once Emma stepped onboard. And since, after two hours, he considered Emma a massive annoyance, he was frustrated with his ship too.

As they rowed the dinghy to the ship, he had explained to Emma they only had a very small room for her and that she would be uncomfortable. He wasn't sure why that fact made him happy.

She surprised him by responding quickly that she would be more than comfortable in the room and not to worry about her.

He snipped back that he hadn't been concerned about her comfort at all.

The problem was that it was mostly a damn lie. He was worried about her comfort. In fact, he was worried about her idea of dropping her off at the next port town too.

He wasn't dumb. He could spot a sheltered virgin from a mile away. He had taken the maidenhead of many. Killian had always enjoyed how tight they were. So much better than the used whores in the bars. He just couldn't figure out why her virginity concerned him so much. At least in the way of preserving it from others this time. Something that was definitely not in his character.

And then his ship had to give him the feeling that she was smug right now. It frustrated him that she knew how attracted he was to this Emma girl he just met.

His mind supplied "the one who was magnificent when she stole his sword." That had gotten his attention on multiple levels. She had looked like an avenging goddess to him when she took it from him.

He tried to tamp down his attraction to her. After all, she had stated she only needed a ride to the next port town.

He couldn't figure out why it bothered him that one wasn't far away.

Emma stepped into the minuscule room and waved her hand in an easy manner. The room was instantly ten times the size now. She had a lot of practice with manipulating spaces, and she had no trouble with those spells now.

Next, she performed a large flourish of her hands. White smoke swirled, and she was wearing a very different outfit. Gone was the cornflower blue delicate dress. Now she was dressed in black leather pants and a black and dark blue corset. She also had black leather boots on her feet.

She hoped the sexy Captain Hook choked on his tongue when he saw her. The man greatly annoyed her. Probably, she admitted to herself, because she thought he was wildly sexy. Emma was sure he was aware he was and that he slept with almost anything that breathed. She didn't want to be on the man's conquest list. She didn't escape her home only to become someone else's plaything for an evening. Right?

She hated that she had to admit the "play" would probably be very satisfying. And that accent could kill her.

Emma had been so preoccupied it took her until now to realize she was on a magic ship. Once she did, she was astounded by the level of understanding the vessel had.

"Trust the broken man."

Emma jerked in shock when she heard the ship whisper to her. "Wh-what?"

"Trust the broken man," was what she heard in response.

She closed her eyes and searched with her magic. The ship had been pushing her magical abilities to her limits to convey that to her.

"Where is he?" Emma asked, concerned. She readied herself to rescue someone from the brig. "I can get him away from the captain," she promised.

"Captain –a broken man," she heard in response.

"Captain Hook is a feared pirate unless you're talking about his hand."

"No. Heart."

Emma chuckled, "Do pirates even have hearts?"

The door then flew open and smacked Emma in the arm. She wasn't fooled for a second. She knew the ship did it to her.

"What the hell!?"

"A Broken man," the ship insisted.

Snow scowled at the fire they were cooking lunch on. David asked, "What did the fire do to anger you?"

She blinked and looked over at him. "It's not…" she blushed, realizing he knew the fire hadn't angered her and he was being silly. "It's Emma. She reminds me so much of you. That worries me sometimes."

"Gee, thanks," he teased, smiling. He was fully aware she adored him, and there wasn't any heat in what she said.

Snow looked back at the fire. "I'm just thinking about what you would do at her age if you were left behind."

He picked up a nearby twig that hadn't made it to the fire and twirled it. "I would run away and make my own adventure. And knowing me, I'd get attacked and fall in love." He gave her an adoring smile.

"How can you say that so easily!?" she asked, frustrated. "This is our daughter!"

"And you see it too. We coddle her." He smirked. "I just don't believe she can get in as much danger on her own as she would, coming with us. Let her spread her wings in relative safety. Even with all her magic, she can't get near Regina."

Shorty worked hard to cook a nice meal. Sure, he always tried to make something edible, but now there was a woman on board. One he was hoping someone in the know would tell him something about.

Mac, never one to let his friend down, showed up immediately after he went off his morning duties.

The cook, seeing him, smiled and stirred the food that he was preparing. "Tell me you have news."

"I was there."

"You were?! I hear tell she's a beauty, but no one else that stopped in knew any more than that."

"I was there with Murphy, Jack, and the Captain. She's more than a beauty. She's amazing. She stole the Captain's sword and held it to his throat. Of course, our Captain didn't flinch for a second." He bragged.

Shorty's eyes grew wide, "Really? And he brought her back to the ship?"

"He said he'd bring her to the next port."

They both grew quiet after that bit of news. Neither of them would say anything that sounded like questioning their Captain. But truth be told, neither of them could remember a time when the Captain offered a free ride on his ship. They were pirates, and everything they did came at a price. Sure, they had been in Neverland for a long time, but they had been pirates before that too. Even Milah's time on the ship came with a kind of price. She was sleeping with the Captain.

"Ah," was the cook's non-committal answer. "Well," he added. "She won't be with us for long."

Mac smiled and replied, "That's what the plan is, at least."

"You think that will change?" Shorty asked, leaning forward and whispering.

"She's not just your average beauty," was Mac's vague reply.
