The characters and the plots belong to Dolphinheart99, who wrote the entire original story, and to their respective owners. I got authorization from Dolphinheart99 to take some elements of her stories. I therefore own nothing, minus the names of my OCs. And for anyone wondering why, I explicitely asked for Dolphinheart99's consent to pick up elements of her stories and adapt them with mine, as I did with DieHardBrendan with his.
BTW : I sign this fanfic to the brave defenders of Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine, glory to heroes.
"Fuck. Crap. Shit." Owen muttered as he jogged as fast as possible through the corridors of the lab.
Owen finished training with the Utahraptors but was late due to putting an end to yet another of Echo and Delta's bickerings, so he forgot about time and forgot he had to take Valentina and Ava for lunch. But he would never hear the end of the story from Wu, since the latter was instead eating his meal as she was going through files on his office while Ava was sitting on an empty table watching Valentina eat a plate of spaghetti with no meatballs, while Ava was eating a plate of carbonara. Neither of the two was annoyed of Valentina eating there before Wu noticed Owen at the door and signalled the handler to come in. Owen opened the door and came into Wu's office.
"Uncle Owen. You'we back!" Valentina exclaimed.
"And very late." Ava told her father while chewing her lunch.
"Sorry! I had a big problem with the Utahraptors." Owen explained. "So I noticed you bought lunch."
"Yeah. Iris, Ivy ate the meatballs." Ava said as she put another spoon of carbonara in her mouth.
Before Owen could ask anything, he felt something nudging his legs and looked down to see two white dinosaurs looking like a mix of a T-Rex and a Utahraptor. Leaning to take a closer look at them, Owen understood it had to be the dinosaurs Ava was called to help out with.
"What are these?" Owen asked again.
"These are the new attractions of the park. The Indominus Rex." Wu replied looking at his computer. "And they imprinted on your niece."
As if on cue, Ava nodded to her father as she finished her carbonara before adding, "They imprinted on Valentina like a few hours ago."
But Wu still had to check the vitals of the dinosaurs before handing them over to Owen and his daughter as pets, so the scientist gently caught them with Ava's help before Owen picked his niece up and carried her on their shoulder. But the two hybrid dinosaurs wondered why their mother was leaving? Did she hate them? But Ava gave them the answer.
"Nah. Time for your checkup. Sorry, rules." Ava said.
"Yeah, and good luck with these." Owen replied.
"Pwease, Ivy and Iwis. Stay hewe. I am going to come back tomowwow. I pwomise!" Valentina told the two animals.
Before the animals could do anything, Ava put a dog crate in front of them and baited them with a huge meatball. Not wanting to go in at first, the two animals quickly understood Wu had to look for them for obvious safety and health reasons, so they ran inside the cage before Wu locked the cage and carried them all to the lab for their checkup.
The next day, Owen was carrying Valentina to daycare, where she would be taken care of by professionals before going to work while Ava was going to help out with cleaning the T-Rex exhibit and therefore had to wake up early. But Owen also promised to take Valentina to the T-Rex exhibit, making the toddler excited and happy. As Owen left daycare, his niece waved him goodbye before he headed for the Utahraptor Pen. Upon passing the front door, Owen had no idea he would get good news regarding his niece. Indeed, Dr. Wu would indeed have good news for Valentina, since he spent the whole night checking up on the animals.
Meanwhile at the lab, the hybrid sisters were in their cage, watching as the humans called scientists were finishing to search for any trace of disease in the dinosaurs' body as well as analyzing blood samples. The two animals were bored but they were closely monitored by the leader of those humans, who kept a very keen eye on them when he suddenly saw them getting more and more impatient since the two dinosaurs began banging in vain onto their cages, not knowing what their mommy was doing out there. Suddenly, Wu picked them up still inside their cage before lifting their box up and walked out of the lab, much to the dinosaurs' relief. Looking out of their cage, the two animals saw their mommy being carried by someone looking like Owen.
Owen carried his niece to the daycare where Valentina would be overseen by professionals, among whom a Brazilian woman named Joseline who had experience dealing with children. Owen then explained to Joseline that he had to go to work while Ava would help around by cleaning exhibits, leaving daycare as his only option. Joseline agreed since she knew Owen's job as a Utahraptor trainer was just as dangerous as his previous job in the US Navy while also knowing Ava always found a way to keep herself busy during vacation periods.
"Thanks for the assist, Joseline. Keeping an eye on my niece will greatly help me out." Owen told Joseline before seeing Wu behind the door.
"No problem, Owen. But I think Wu wants to talk to you." Joseline replied as she held Valentina's hand.
"Now, listen to Joseline while I'm away. Okay?" Owen instructed his niece.
"Okie-dokie, uncwe Owen. And what is going Ava do?" Valentina giggled as she waved her uncle goodbye.
Once Owen left the daycare, he went to a smiling Wu standing with a cage containing the two hybrid dinosaurs named Indominus Rex. The handler understood the chief scientist had some good news for him regarding Valentina and both men walked aside before Owen went to work.
"Good news. The two animals are healthy and Valentina may adopt them while we build their paddock." Wu announced.
"Crap. Didn't know you and your guys worked that hard for their checkup." Owen replied before opening Wu's bag.
The two men then parted ways for the day before Wu put the cage on the ground and tried to catch Ivy and Iris, to no avail though, since the two dinosaurs ran for the door while avoiding being seen by anyone, forcing Wu to give up the search due to the two hybrids being hidden into the crowd before calling the lab and Ava on their respective mobile phone. Soon enough, Ivy and Iris found themselves in a room full of human hatchlings and human grown ups. But thanks to their accute sense of smell, they found their mommy playing with colorful toys and colorful blocks.
The two hybrids then happily ran to their mommy before stopping where she was, chirping and purring as they began licking Valentina. The toddler didn't know what they were doing here but being the gullible girl she was, she believed the lab staff released them to play, so Valentina played with them while other kids Valentina's age, who also happened to have parents working at Jurassic World, joined in the game. The commotion attracted Joseline, who saw both hybrids, only to nearly faint in before regaining composure and calling Wu about the two white dinosaurs. The scientist then explained everything to Joseline while Hamada, the Animal Containment Unit and Ava arrived in trucks to daycare. Ava then jumped out of the lead truck alongside Hamada and politely enquired Joseline.
"Jo, it's Ava. What happened?" Ava politely asked.
"Well, I was doing my job as usual when I heard the kids gathering in your cousin's corner. Then I saw two baby dinosaurs looking like carnivores and I thought kids were endangered. So I called Wu. But I bet he already called you for you to be here that fast." Joseline replied.
"Indeed. And no need to worry. These two dinos are considering my cousin their mommy. So as long as Valentina's around, don't worry about shit to happen."
Ava patted Joseline's shoulder while Hamada called Owen on his phone just as the latter finished working. Owen bolted from work and arrived in the nick of time to see Hamada and his ACU troopers packing up while Ava motioned tourists not to pay attention to it with a loudspeaker. Ava saw her out of breath father coming next to her before she handed the PA over to Hamada's second-in-command and led her father to a corner where Valentina was sleeping with Ivy and Iris in her arms while other kids were being lifted up by their parents.
"Well, that was unforeseen." Owen remarked.
"Yes, the Indominus Rex is more intelligent than we thought. They escaped when I was going to put them into a bag." a recently-arrived Wu explained.
"Means Valentina will get to keep them so they won't escape again." Ava correctly deduced.
They then waited for Valentina to wake up.
