" Afro ... Luffy? " Repeated Lucy.
"Remind me never to let Usopp coach Luffy again." Raynare said.
"I don't know this guy." Bellamy asserted, turning his face away to hide the visible shame in his eyes.
For her part, staring at Luffy for a few moments, Menma asked.
"Who is this guy?"
" No idea. " Zoro confessed. "But I feel like I've met him before."
"Are you serious?" Yelled Yosaku and Johnny.
"FUFUFUFU!" Foxy sneered. "I see that you have made the effort to prepare yourself properly for our fight, Mugiwara! But unfortunately for you, I doubt it will change much! The outcome of our fight is already decided."
"I'll show you that you're wrong." Luffy affirmed. "I'm going to kick your ass and prove to you that I can protect my mates."
"Your words are noble, but you forget one detail! My ship contains countless weapons and I know exactly where they are! Honestly, do you really think you can beat me in a place where I have a clear advantage?"
" I already told you! I purposely let you choose the terrain. " Luffy retorted. "Otherwise my victory would have been too easy and I would have felt no pride in defeating you."
Hearing this, Foxy lost his smile, before affirming.
"When you are under my command, it is imperative that I teach you respect."
"Don't forget that this fight has no time limit." Itomimizu affirmed. "And the first candidate to leave the boat will have lost! Are you ready?"
Suddenly, the sound of a bell was heard.
"START!"
" NORO NORO NO BEAM ! "
Immediately, a ray left Foxy's fist and headed towards Luffy. However, jumping to dodge it, Luffy already had his arm positioned back.
" PISTOL ! "
Seeing the fist rocket towards him, Foxy jumped back to dodge it. Then, seeing Luffy's fist hitting and destroying the floor of his boat, he aimed at him, in order to immobilize him.
" NORU NORU... "
" WHIP ! "
Before he could react, Foxy spat out saliva, as Luffy's leg just hit his left side.
" ARRRGGHHHH ! "
Then, Luffy found himself in front of him, while his arm was spinning behind him.
" GUM GUM RIFLE ! "
Again, Foxy was overtaken and got punched in the face. His nose crushed, he felt his body eject backwards, before crashing into one of his ship's masts.
"What...?" One of the pirates wondered.
" Oyabin ? "
"Perfect, Luffy." Sanji shouted.
"Finish him." Nami shouted.
Immediately propelling himself towards Foxy, Luffy began to swing his arms at full speed.
" GATLING ! "
" KYUUBI RUSH ! "
Startled, Luffy saw Foxy get up, and move his arms at the same speed as him. Punching Luffy's fists, he managed to eject them to the side, creating an opening to reach Luffy.
" NORO NORO NO BEAM ! "
This time, Luffy couldn't do anything as he got hit by his attack. And because of that, he felt his whole body move in slow motion.
Seeing this, Foxy didn't hesitate to attack him.
" KYUUBI RUSH ! "
Punching Luffy at full speed, Foxy administered a phenomenal number of punches to him which, strangely, did no damage to him.
"That's weird." Gin affirmed. "Luffy doesn't seem to feel his attacks."
"It's because his reactions are also slowed down." Robin affirmed, as she noticed pain starting to show on Luffy's face.
Knowing this, Foxy finished his attack, before quickly moving away from Luffy.
"Don't worry Mugiwara! I know exactly what it takes to defeat you! By the way, it's been thirty seconds."
Immediately, Luffy's face seemed to get punched with invisible punches, as he received the full damage from Foxy's attack.
"Damn it!" growled Wiper. " Slipthead knows how to use his power perfectly! All he has to do is slow Mugiwara down and then he can hit him without fear of the slightest counter-attack. "
" Maybe, but that's not the scariest part. " Velvet retorted.
Getting back to his feet, Luffy let out a cry of rage, before starting to run on the boat, in order to find Foxy.
" Slipthead. "
However, he quickly stopped, as he saw cannonballs hovering in front of him.
" What ? "
"30 seconds." Foxy announced, as he was behind some guns.
Immediately, cannonballs rocketed towards Luffy.
"FUFUFU! It's over." Foxy said.
However, suddenly crossing his arms, Luffy closed his fists before using them to hit two cannonballs which ended up in front of him. Then, tending his hand in front of him, he managed to stop a third projectile, managing to wedge it between his fingers.
" WHAT ? " Shouted Foxy.
"I'll give that back to you." Luffy asserted, throwing the cannonball in his direction.
" NORO NORO NO BEAM. "
Aiming for the projectile, Foxy managed to stop it. However, taking advantage of him being distracted, Luffy jumped into the air, before pointing his foot skyward. stretching his leg, he then let it fall, in order to crush a cannon.
" GUM GUM AXE ! "
Hit and crushed, the barrel exploded, and the shock wave sent Foxy flying backwards. Falling backwards, he got up with difficulty, while roaring.
"You will pay me for it."
" 30 seconds. " Luffy suddenly affirmed.
"Huh?" Foxy wondered.
Suddenly, looking ahead of him, Foxy felt snot dripping from his nose, as he saw that the cannonball he had just slowed down was now in front of him. Then, regaining its original speed, the ball hit him in the face before exploding.
Seeing this, Luffy declared.
"You are incapable of beating me."
Yet, through the smoke, Foxy could be seen managing to get up.
"Mugiwara...if you think you can defeat me, you're wrong."
Letting the smoke clear, Foxy showed his charred face, as he had lost a few teeth.
"I'm Foxy, the captain of a crew of 500 pirates! There's no way I can lose to a weakling like you."
For all answer, Luffy stared at him for a few moments. Then, finally, he declared.
"Eventually, this fight may be useful to me."
" Huh ? "
Thinking back to his fight against Enel, and especially the last seconds before the god was defeated, Luffy stated.
"At that time, I had used a technique involuntarily! I think I should take advantage of this fight to find out if I can master it. "
"What? What are you talking about?"
at that moment, he saw Luffy flex his legs, before putting his fist on the ground. Then, concentrating for a few moments, he let his heart beat faster.
"What is he doing?" asked one of Foxy's pirates.
"Is that a fighting stance?"
"Maybe it's sumo."
As surprised as they were, Luffy's crew didn't know how to react to their captain's behavior.
" Luffy ? "
"Oye! Anyone have any idea what he's doing?"
at that moment, smoke started to appear around Luffy.
Stunned, Foxy saw Luffy's skin begin to turn pink, as a huge amount of steam began to surround him.
"Hey! Can I know what you're doing?"
"Just wait a few seconds." Luffy told him, raising his head.
Then starting to smile, he declared.
"I'm sure you won't believe your eyes! GEAR SECOND !"
Still surprised, Foxy then saw him get back to his feet, before targeting him.
" GUM GUM ... "
Then, Luffy's fist disappeared, as it moved so fast that Foxy was unable to see it. Frozen in terror, Foxy felt the fist brush against him and hit a part of the boat just behind him.
Punching hard, Luffy's fist pulverized the wooden surface into small pieces. However, he hadn't purposely been surprised by the speed of his own attack, Luffy hadn't been able to properly control the trajectory of his attack, and that caused this lack of precision. But then the worst happened. Letting his fist return to him, Luffy screamed in pain.
Feeling like he felt the muscles in his arm tearing, he cried, again and again, under the surprised gaze of his friends.
"What's going on?" Chopper asked. "Why does Luffy seem to be in so much pain?"
"Foxy must have done something to him." Lucy asserted.
"Not at all." Bruno retorted.
Having perfectly seen Luffy's movements, he declared.
"Those are the side effects of his technique."
"What are you talking about?" Vivi questioned him.
"It's not complicated to understand! First, let's analyze what he just did! Pinkish skin...steam coming out of his body...herculean strength...Luffy just came to boost his body."
"Booster?" Yosaku repeated. "Like a person on drugs?"
"How did Luffy-aniki manage to do that?"
"He managed to get his heart rate up." Bruno explained to them. "As a result, the blood flow became more abundant, which allowed him to increase his potency."
"I understand." Raynare said thoughtfully. "Normally, doing that would kill a normal human! But since Luffy's blood vessels are rubber, he can swell them at will without risking damage."
"But then why does he seem to be in pain?" Nami asked.
"It's his muscles." Chopper realized. "Luffy's body is not at all used to moving so fast! And added to the fact that his power is far above normal, his muscles must have a lot of trouble supporting the slightest of his attacks."
"Luffy's technique makes him more powerful." Bruno affirmed. "But if he is unable to control it properly, then the negative effects will be much greater than the positive effects.
Seeing Luffy scream as he held his damaged arm, Foxy smiled again, affirming.
"You scared me for a second! But in the end, I have nothing to fear from you."
Then, approaching a cannon still intact, he aimed it at Luffy, before firing.
"Say your prayers."
However, hearing the bang, Luffy saw the cannonball coming towards him. Immediately, he jumped to the side to avoid her. Unfortunately, when he only wanted to jump a few meters, Luffy was surprised to throw himself so far, that he found himself out of the boat.
"What...?" He wondered, as he found himself in a vacuum.
"But what is that idiot doing?" Vivi shouted.
" His boost is so powerful that the slightest gesture must be multiplied by ten. " Confirmed Zoro. "Luffy is not at all used to moving like this."
Feeling himself falling, Luffy stretched his arm up a pole and managed to grab it. Then, letting his arm bring him back to Foxy's boat, he flopped down on the wooden floor, before grimacing.
Feeling like his legs were on fire, he couldn't understand how a simple jump could have put him in such danger.
"Damn it! What's the problem with this technique! As soon as I make a move, I can't control what I'm doing! And on top of that, my body hurts."
" FACE BOMB ! "
Aiming at him with a strange bazooka, Foxy fired a multitude of projectiles, the appearance of which resembled Foxy's head.
" What is that ? "
Jumping into the air, Luffy dodged the projectiles, which hit the ground, before exploding.
" Bombs ? "
" NORO NORO NO BEAM ! "
Finding himself in the air, Luffy was unable to dodge Foxy's attack, as he was slowed down again.
" FACE BOMB ! "
Then firing his bazooka, Foxy had no trouble aiming Luffy and allowing his projectiles to hit him, before exploding. Disappearing inside a cloud of smoke, Luffy's body eventually collapsed to the ground, completely charred.
"LUFFY!" Shouted his friends.
"OYABIN!" Rejoiced his crew.
"FUFUFUFU!" Foxy sneered, dropping his bazooka. "Do you understand now, Mugiwara? Even someone like you won't always be able to protect his friends."
" Shut ... Shut up."
"Huh?" Foxy said, seeing Luffy stand up.
Struggling to get to his feet, Luffy seemed to struggle with the pain. And yet, he surprised everyone as he put his fist on the floor a second time.
" GEAR SECOND ! "
"OYE! Is he serious?" Gin asked.
"Luffy, stop." Sanji shouted. "You are unable to control this technique."
Joining them at that moment, Usopp saw Luffy being surrounded by steam.
"Wow! What's going on?"
Ignoring everyone, Luffy let his skin turn pink again, while his breathing became faster.
"May I know what you're doing, Mugiwara?" Foxy questioned. "Honestly, you should admit that your technique is more of a liability than a boon! What do you think you can do against me if you can't master it?"
Then, seizing the saber which he had at the level of his belt, Foxy withdrew its scabbard, and showed a blade similar to the ray which he could produce.
" NORO NORO BLADE ! "
" JET PISTOL ! "
Barely having time to draw his weapon, Foxy widened his eyes, while Luffy's fist managed to hit him right in the abdomen. Spitting blood as he dropped his weapon, his body began to fly, before crashing into a cannon, which collapsed on impact.
" WHAT ? " Shouted Itomimizu. " O ... Oyabin?"
"YOSH!" Yelled Usopp. "Good job, Luffy! Keep it up."
However, he stopped encouraging him, as he saw Luffy put one foot on the ground, before starting to vomit blood.
" Luffy ? "
"Damn it." Wiper growled. "His technique is even more dangerous than expected."
" His body is truly unable to withstand the repercussions of each of her attacks. " Velvet affirmed.
"Luffy, stop it." Nami ordered him. "If you keep going, you'll..."
She fell silent, seeing Luffy get back to his feet, while he continued to produce steam around him. It seemed suicidal, but Luffy wanted to continue his fight like this. And for him, it was the only way he had to protect his friends.
Granted, he could beat Foxy, without the Gear Second. But, remembering his fights against Crocodile and Enel, Luffy gritted his teeth.
If he had won against Crocodile, it was only because he had found his weak point. And despite that, he had it against him twice before triumphing in their third fight.
And if Luffy won against Enel, it was only because he was immune to lightning.
During these fights, Luffy had understood one thing. Faced with opponents who were becoming more and more powerful, he also had to surpass his limits to defeat his next enemies.
To get to Raftel, Luffy knew he had barely gone a quarter of the way. By continuing like this, he was sure to meet people who would be two or three times more powerful than Crocodile. And to win against them, Luffy had no choice.
Letting more smoke surround him, he affirmed.
"I will master this technique."
Rolling back, as he coughed up blood, Foxy glared at him.
"Tssss! Do you seriously think you could beat me with such a weak attack."
Nevertheless, having a glove placed on his stomach, he had a hard time hiding his pain.
"DAMN IT! How can a weakling like him hit so hard? Does he have the strength of a giant?"
Taking a step towards Luffy, he positioned his gloves in front of him, while affirming.
"This guy is too dangerous, I have to beat him immediately!"
" MEGATON KYUUBI ... "
" GUM GUM JET ... "
" RUSH/ GATLING ! "
Moving their fists at full speed, Luffy and Foxy tried to punch their opponent. But, within moments, Foxy felt like his fists were being fractured, as Luffy punched them with unimaginable force. Then, Foxy's face was the target of his punches.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Luffy shouted, punching him repeatedly.
Having his nose crushed as he lost a few teeth, Foxy felt his body recoil with each punch he received. Then, his body collapsed backwards.
However, as Foxy fell to the ground, Luffy seemed unable to stop himself. And so, his fists continued to stretch and hit the main mast of the ship.
" Hey, Mugiwara! " Shouted Itomimizu. " Calm you. "
Unable to stop his attack, Luffy felt his fists hit the mast, shattering it. Stunned, Foxy's crew saw the mast of the boat begin to fall, before crashing into the surface of the water.
"AHHHHH! He pulverized the mast."
"If he continues, the whole boat will be destroyed."
Eventually, Luffy's punches slowed down and Luffy managed to stop them. But immediately, he fell to his knees, before starting to scream in agony. At his arms, everyone could see that his muscles had tripled in size, as they contracted in a strange way. His muscles really looked like they were about to explode.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Pity, stop Luffy." Chopper shouted.
"You've already defeated Foxy." Lucy assured him.
Unfortunately, straightening up again, Foxy looked up enough to see Luffy writhing in pain. As a result, despite the blood covering his face, Foxy smiled as he forced himself to his feet.
"You almost got me, Mugiwara! However, it's obvious that you are now unable to fight."
Seeing him rise to his feet, Luffy then saw him pointing his fists at him.
"My beam is about to end."
Knowing that he intended to slow him down again to attack him Luffy let out another cry. Then, to Foxy's surprise, he managed to stretch his arms behind him.
" GUM GUM ... "
"You're crazy." Foxy affirmed. " NORO NORO... "
" JET BAZOOKA ! "
" ... NO BEAM ! "
Foxy's attack had always had the particularity of slowing everything he touched. Whether it was an object, an animal or a human, no one could not be slowed down by being hit by his attack.
But for that, it was necessary to allow time for the ray to hit its target. And unfortunately, hardly had Foxy had time to begin his attack, when he saw Luffy's fists positioned right in front of his face.

"So that's the strength of a pirate with a bounty of 100 million berries?"
Then, his feet left the ground, while his body began to fly backwards.
" Sugoi. "
Finally, rushing backwards, Foxy's body felt like a missile as he was thrown out of his boat. Then, seeing him heading towards them, several people in the stands started running, just in time to avoid getting in Foxy's path.
Hitting the bleachers, Foxy's body pulverized part of it, under Itomimizu's flabbergasted gaze.
"Im...Impossible! I can't believe it."
And yet, finding himself crushed against the damaged stands, Foxy's body was visible to all, while his face was contorted with the shock of the last attack.
"O...yabin! Oyabin has been defeated."
Then pointing his hand at Foxy's boat, he affirmed.
"The winner of this fight is Afro-Luffy."
However, he was surprised again. Stopping using Gear Second, Luffy tried to catch his breath. Unfortunately, his eyes suddenly turned white and, losing consciousness, he fell to his knees, before collapsing on the ground.
Seeing him fall, his friends stared at him while he remained on the ground, without making the slightest movement. Then, they saw blood appear around his head, while the liquid came out of his mouth, a sign that he was bleeding internally.
" LUFFY ! "
Opening his eyes, Luffy saw the blue sky above him. At first having trouble remembering what he was doing, he eventually straightened up.
" FOXY ! "
Nevertheless, he screamed in pain, trying to move his arms.
" Luffy, stay down. " Chopper ordered him.
being next to him, the doctor had wrapped part of Luffy's body in bandages as he stated.
"You must not move! I must heal all your wounds."
" My fight. " Luffy retorted, trying to move. "I have to beat Foxy."
"Damn." Sanji roared, putting his hands on his shoulders to still him. "You already beat him! Don't make it worse, stupidly."
" Quoi ? "
"Luffy..." Usopp rejoiced, crying. "I was so scared! I thought you were going to die."
"What? What happened?"
"You overworked your body." Bruno told him. "Damn it! I knew you were stupid, but not that stupid! What took you to do that?"
"He's right, Luffy." Nami affirmed. "When we took you out of Foxy's boat, you were losing a lot of blood! Hatterene must have used her healing powers to stop your bleeding."
"Masi that won't be enough to heal you completely." Chopper asserted, continuing to apply bandages around Luffy. "Luffy, you mustn't move! Otherwise, all your injuries will get worse."
"You don't have to worry anymore." Lucy assured him. "You won your fight."
"I won?" Luffy repeated.
However, to the surprise of his friends, Luffy didn't seem to feel any joy. Seeming to understand the reason, Zoro asked him.
"You don't feel like you deserve this win, do you?"
"Of course." Luffy stated. "I was not able to master this technique at all! If I had fought anyone other than Foxy, I would surely have lost this fight."
Gritting his teeth, he roared.
"Damn it! Why can't I get stronger?"
" Luffy, you have become stronger. " Bruno retorted. "But if you don't let your body get used to this new power, you just risk making it weaker! Don't rush things."
" But I ... "
"Mugiwara..."
Walking in their direction, Foxy was accompanied by his crew, while his head was again completely covered with bandages.
"Tssss! We don't have time to talk to you." Nami affirmed. "Can't you see our captain needs a rest?"
"If you want another match, we refuse." Yosaku stated.
"Yeah! Luffy-aniki defeated you and you have to accept it." Johnny affirmed.
However, to everyone's surprise, Foxy suddenly dropped to one knee. Then, he was imitated by all the members of his crew.
"I accept my defeat! And even if I wanted a rematch, I know for a fact that I could never defeat Mugiwara."
Therefore, raising his head, he declared.
"Captain, my men and I are ready to join your crew."
Having almost forgotten that, Usopp asked.
"Wait, you're really going to accept this."
"Of course." Foxy assured. "A bet is a bet! It is true that in normal times, I would surely have protested but... after seeing the power of Mugiwara, I understood something..."
Staring at Luffy, he assured.
"There is no shame in losing and joining the crew of the future Pirate King."
