Watching a group of carpenters running through the city, Gin saw them pass in front of him without calling out to him. On the one hand, the fact that he was constantly ignored gave him the advantage of not being bothered all the time. However, his honor felt ill-equipped to take this insult.
"Why doesn't anyone remember that I'm wanted?"
Finally, walking towards an abandoned hangar, he cautiously entered the building, all the while asserting.
" It's me. "
inside the hangar was Zoro's group who had already grabbed their weapons. However, recognizing Gin, they let him join them.
"The carpenters are still looking for us! However, given the storm that is about to hit us, I doubt their search will continue."
"What's the difference?" Raynare asked. "Without a boat, we can't leave the island! And after the storm, these guys will keep looking for us."
"And the sea train?" Menma asked.
"I doubt the carpenters aren't already at the station, hoping to meet us there." Lucy retorted.
"In this case, we have no choice." Wiper declared. "We must resume Merry and leave with it while hoping to reach the nearest island before it sinks."
"We can't leave the island without Robin." Lucy retorted. People accuse him of causing a murder. "
"I wish I could talk to her so she can tell us what she's been doing since she disappeared." Zoro growled.
"Do you really think Robin tried to kill someone?" Azelma asked.
"I can't say." The man admitted.
"Tsss! It's obvious that you trust your companions." Shun-day remarked, with a sarcastic tone.
" ANIKI ! "
Running into the hangar, Johnny and Yosaku appeared, followed by the rest of Luffy's group.
"Damn it." Nami said, catching her breath. "We didn't stop running."
"Tsss! I knew going to visit Iceberg wouldn't do any good." Velvet growled.
"Iceberg?" Gin was surprised. "Did you manage to see him?"
In response, Luffy remained silent. Indeed, he had managed to speak with Iceberg. However, the man didn't give him the answer he wanted. On the contrary, Iceberg had told him that Robin was one of the people who tried to kill him.
And after a short discussion with the man, Luffy had to quickly leave Galley-La HQ before fleeing with the rest of his companions.
"The carpenters and civilians are looking for us." Yosaku declared. "It's impossible to go anywhere without being spotted."
"And with this storm coming, I doubt this place will be able to shelter us." Lucy remarked, while looking at the many damaged areas of the building. "We won't be able to stay here long."
"It's too late to leave the island." Nami retorted. "The wind is much too strong! As soon as we are at sea, we will be prey to the waves! We have no chance of leaving here without experiencing the storm! It will reach this island in a short time."
"Suffice to say, if we take Merry and it's damaged like the carpenters claim, we have no chance of escaping with it." Raynare lamented.
"We have too many problems to deal with." Johnny affirmed, rubbing his head with his hands. "We have to find a boat! Find Robin! And manage to escape this island while fighting the fury of a storm! Is it me or are the gods really against us?"
"Don't worry, we're back with good news."
Surprising everyone, Bruno's head came out of the ground, while the man opened a zipper.
" Bruno ? "
Emerging from the ground, the man letting Sanji and the others follow him. Seeing them, the other pirates could not hide their surprise when they saw them return with several pieces of a body which was vainly trying to struggle.
" ROBIN ? "
"Damn it!" The woman growled, realizing that she could no longer escape.
" Can you repeat ? "
Not knowing what to answer, Blueno and Fosha turned their faces to the side a little, before declaring.
"Mugiwara's crew managed to recapture Nico Robin."
In front of them, a man could not hide his displeasure and hit a wall with his fist. Immediately, a huge hole appeared in the wall, proving his superhuman strength. Having been surprised by this gesture, Hattori left Lucci's shoulder, before landing again on his other shoulder.
Then, words were heard, without Hattori making the slightest effort to move his beak.
"Do you know that your stupidity deserves to be punished by death? Damn it! Five years of hard work and when we almost succeeded in our mission, you can't think of anything better to do than ruin everything."
Seeming to have no problem speaking and showing his anger towards the duo, Lucci finally said.
"I thought Nico Robin wouldn't betray us! Maybe I was wrong."
"Coro-chan didn't betray us." Fosha retorted. "It's those damn pirates who kidnapped her! Lucci...give me the chance to right my mistake and I promise I'll get her back."
"And how do you plan to find them?" The man growled. "Soon, we'll have to kill Iceberg and get off this island before Aqua Laguna arrives! We can't afford to waste time searching all over town for her."
Being with the trio, Kaku stated.
"The carpenters have been looking for the pirates all day! I doubt we can find them inside their ship or in a hotel! They may have found a hiding place on the lower part of the island."
Suddenly, a laugh was heard. Feeling a vein forming on his forehead, Lucci turned towards another person. Sitting quietly, Light had a smile on his face, while he held an apple in his hand.
"What's funny?" Lucci asked. "Need I remind you that it's your fault we find ourselves in this situation? You're the one who allowed Nico Robin the right to say goodbye to those pirates."
"Yes! I admit that I am at fault." Light affirmed. "But I am a humanist! I could well grant this wish to this woman who seems ready to die for these companions! And then, I sincerely thought that the famous members of CP9 would be competent enough to prevent such a thing from happening. "
Despite disliking his arrogant and amused gift, Blueno remained stoic, while Fosha growled in displeasure.
"But have no fear! After all, I am here to make sure that your mission goes without the slightest problem." Assured Light.
Suddenly he threw his apple into the air. Rising higher and higher, the fruit eventually stops. However, instead of coming down, the fruit floated in the air, before something started to bite it.
Making it disappear into his mouth, Ryuk's body appeared more clearly with each of his mouthfuls. Then, when the fruit completely disappeared, the shinigami spat out a few seeds, before letting himself go down towards Light.
"I was at my limit."
"Ryuk..." Light said simply, who seemed to be expecting something from him.
"Please...give me time to digest." The shinigami retorted with an amused laugh.
Not wanting to lose face in front of CP9, Light showed him another apple. Straightening up immediately, Ryuk stated.
"They're in an abandoned hangar near block 3! I had no trouble following Zipper-man and his group to this hideout."
Hearing this, Light smiled again at Lucci's group.
"Comrades…I think you know what to do."
"Hey! I'm not allowing you to give us orders." Kaku retorted.
However, Lucci affirmed.
"Let's forget about that for now! Let's get Nico Robin back before Spandam finds out about the situation! There's no way I'm going to hear his annoying voice scolding me."
Trying to free herself, Robin could only grunt in displeasure, as she was securely tied to a chair, with her arms behind her back.
"Don't even think you can move your arms." Gin retorted. "You will not move from here until you tell us what we want to hear."
"I already told you what happened." Robin retorted. "I'm the one who wanted to kill Iceberg."
"But you haven't told us why." Lucy said. "Why did you do that?"
"I had to." Robin replied simply.
And while no one knew what to say to that, Robin directed her gaze towards Luffy.
"Luffy...I don't want to hurt you! So please, just let me leave your crew."
"I refuse." Luffy retorted.
" Why ? "
"Because you didn't tell us everything." The pirate affirmed, fixing his gaze. "You're hiding something from us, aren't you?"
"I have nothing more to say to you." Robin retorted.
"Robin…" Vivi called. "You... Even when you were the partner of Baroque Works, you spared Igaram! You tried to help us! And you protected my people by refusing to give the information that Crocodile was looking for! I know you don't like not kill people like the government tries to make us believe! In fact, I..."
Reflecting on her own reputation, while many people believed that she had joined forces with pirates in order to kill her father and become the new queen of Alabasta, Vivi declared.
"You're like me, aren't you? You're responsible for a crime you didn't commit! The world government has issued an arrest warrant for you but... it's for another reason than what people claim, right?"
"I don't know what you mean." Robin retorted, looking away.
"When you were eight years old, you got a bounty of 79 million berries! The government claimed that you destroyed eight Navy battleships when the government went to Ohara to arrest a group of criminals! They claimed that you were related to these criminals and that..."
"THEY WEREN'T CRIMINALS!"
Having shouted this sentence, Robin had surprised several pirates, while she showed anger in her eyes. Staring at them, Robin roared.
"Why? Why are you trying to understand me when you know nothing about me?"
"In that case, what are you waiting for to tell us what we want to know?" Nami asked. "Robin, you've been with us for a month and yet we still don't know anything about you."
"And why do you think this hasn't been said?" Robin asked. "I don't want you to know about my past."
"And why?" Zoro asked, with a skeptical look. "What are you hiding from us?"
"And who were the guys who accompanied you?" Bruno wanted to know. "The Navy? Why did you decide to work with these people?"
Hearing these questions, Robin averted her gaze further. Then she whispered.
"I am the demon child! I have no right to live! So, no matter the repercussions of my actions, I am not afraid of dying! In fact, I have hated living for a long time."
Staring at Luffy, she roared.
"What's happening is your fault! You should have let me die in Alabasta! You say you want to help everyone achieve their dream? In that case, why don't you let me die the way I want?"
"Your dream is not to die." Luffy retorted.
"And what do you know about it?"
"I don't know." Luffy admitted. "I find it stupid to want to die just because people want you dead! It's not up to them to decide whether you have the right to live or not."
"SHUT UP!" Robin roared. "If you had lived the same past as mine, you would want to die! Anyone would want to die! I...I..."
Suddenly, Robin lowered her face, before starting to cry.
"I hate living."
There was only sincerity in her voice. Robin had in no way said those words out of coercion or in a lie.
"I lost my mother! I lost everyone I cared about! The government took what little I had! They even took my mind to live! Now I'm tired because of the utopia that I have led so far! All I have done has been to pursue a pipe dream."
Remaining silent, the pirates watched as she continued to sob. Then, Robin asked.
"Do you know about Ohara and why this island was destroyed?"
The pirates remained silent.
"I will explain to you why Ohara was destroyed."
Then, Robin began to speak. She spoke for a long time about her past. Her horrible childhood...her mother...the scientists of Ohara...Jaguar...the destruction of Ohara...her first meeting with Aokiji...
And as she spoke, the pirates listened without saying anything. For the first time since they met, they knew Robin's past. And even though she had a tragic past, no one dared to stop her. Finally, when she was finished, Robin looked back at them. Before asking them.
"Do you understand why I hate to live?"
"No." Luffy retorted.
Having had his gaze hidden under his hat, the man gave the impression of sleeping during Robin's story. However, having answered her question without hesitation, the captain looked up at her, before informing her.
"And I didn't think you were that stupid."
"What did you say?" Robin roared.
"The giant sacrificed himself to allow you to live, didn't he? And your best way to thank him is to want to die? I didn't know you were stupider than me."
"How dare you?" Robin roared. "It is for him that I have lived all these years! And it is to honor the memory of my mother and that of Clover and all the others that I set out in search of the Rio Poneglyph! But in the end, "What's the point of putting in so much unnecessary effort? I... I would never have the strength to face the rest of the world alone."
Hearing this, Luffy roared.
"Stop talking like an idiot! Why do you keep saying you're alone?"
Surprised, Robin saw him approach her, while retorting.
"If you ask me, I would never hesitate to help you! And I don't care if the world government wants to kill me because of it! Robin, you're one of my nakamas! And as your captain, I will protect you and help you, even if I have to die."
"He's right, Robin." Chopper said.
"We will fight for you." Lucy assured.
"You're one of us." Nami added.
"If the World Government dares to harm you, I will smash their jaws." Sanji promised.
"All this time, you should start to know us, sister-Robin." Johnny affirmed.
"We are not afraid of anyone." Yosaku finished. "At least, as long as Luffy-aniki is with us."
Hearing them speak, Robin shook his head, while retorting.
"You don't understand who my enemy is."
"Then explain to us." Raynare said.
"Tell us who was with you." Bruno insisted.
" DOOR DOOR ! "
Surprised, Bruno heard a door open behind him, while he was in the center of the hangar. And barely having time to turn around, he saw a fist in front of his face which hit him with force. Stunned, everyone saw Bruno's body flying through the air, before collapsing to the ground. With his eyes completely white, Bruno's face was covered in blood, even though he had just lost consciousness.
" BRUNO ! "
In place of the man now stood a tall figure hidden by a bear mask.
"It was best to knock him out right away." Mister B said.
"You again?" Sanji roared.
"Be careful! He's one of the people who kidnapped Robin." Chopper declared.
"That's right." A voice above him agreed.
Dropping from the sky, Miss F pulverized the ceiling before crashing forcefully into the reindeer. Struck by the impact, Chopper coughed up blood, remaining on the ground.
"And two." Miss F stated.
Seeing this, Zoro grabbed his sword, before running to Luffy's side.
"You will pay for it." They roared.
Simply positioning himself in front of them, Mister B got into a fighting stance.
"TEKKAI!"
Once again he surprised his adversaries, who struck him with force. And yet, remaining motionless, the man seemed neither to feel Zoro's saber which had hit him in the throat, nor Luffy's fist, still pressed against his nose.
" What ? "
"What are you doing?" Gin roared, twirling his tonfas.
"I'm going to burn this guy to ashes." Wiper assured, aiming at him with his bazooka.
" RANKYAKU ! "
Raising his gaze, Gin saw a man wearing a skull mask creating a sharp current of air. Hit in the abdomen, he coughed up blood, while feeling as if he had been slashed by a sword.
" That ? "
" SHIGAN ! "
Widening his eyes, Wiper felt a projectile hit his neck and pass through his flesh. However, turning around, he was surprised to see that the projectile that pierced his back was a finger. A finger belonging to a man wearing a bull mask.
"Who are these guys?" Nami asked.
"I present to you our companions." Miss F affirmed, with a cheerful voice. "This is Mister K and Mister L! Be careful, Mister L is very angry that you kidnapped Koro-chan."
In response, several spears of light flew towards her.
"DIE!" Raynare roared.
" KAMI-E !"
While seeming to predict the trajectory of all the fallen angel's projectiles, Miss F managed to move her body in various directions, in order to avoid all the attacks. Finally, around twenty spears of light were planted around her, while she didn't have the slightest scratch.
"Failed." She affirmed.
However, she saw Raynare smile at her, while she snapped her fingers. Immediately, all the spears of light exploded, causing Miss F to disappear in the middle of a large explosion.
"This is how to get rid of vermin." Raynare assured.
However, a ball of fire passed through the smoke of the explosion before hitting her in the face. Feeling her skin begin to burn, the fallen angel screamed in pain.
Walking through the smoke, despite not having a single scratch on her, Miss F retorted.
"Sorry for giving you false hope but know that no one is likely to give me the slightest scratch now! I am the person with the best defense in the world."
Again she felt a gust of wind hit her. Stopping smiling, she glared at Vivi, who had targeted her.
"Again that stupid princess."
Opening and closing her fists several times, she finally let her nails turn into huge claws, as she declared.
"It's because of you that Coro-chan is being corrupted! I have to kill you."
Then, she rushed towards Vivi. Unable to avoid her, Vivi felt her huge claws slash across the front of her abdomen, tearing her clothes.
"AHHHHHH!"
" VIVI ! " Shouted Nami.
Then, turning to Mister B, she saw him grab the backs of Zoro and Luffy's necks to lift them above the ground. Then he threw them violently against the ground.
"What the hell is going on?"
Wasting no time, Lucy grabbed one of her keys.
" TAURUS ! "
Barely having time to appear, Taurus saw Lucy pointing her finger in the direction of Mister B.
"Taurus! Your target is over there."
Looking at the man with his bear mask, Taurus finally grabbed his battle ax, before running towards him.
"You can say your prayers."
Unfortunately, barely turning his gaze towards him, Mister B closed his fist, before hitting Taurus' ax. Stunned, the spirit saw his weapon crack before being destroyed into pieces.
" How ... ? "
Then, Mister B grabbed his arm and started squeezing it so hard that Taurus cried out in pain.
"Let me go." He ordered, starting to punch Mister B's face several times.
However, even Taurus' bestial strength did not seem to do the slightest harm to his opponent who closed his fist before hitting him in the stomach. In an instant, Taurus' body flew before passing through a wall.
Meanwhile, Sanji tried to hit Mister L, who only dodged his attacks.
"There's no way we're letting you hurt Robin-chwan." The cook growled.
Unfortunately, suddenly disappearing, Mister L appeared right in front of him, before pointing his finger at his shoulder. Unable to react in time, Sanji cried out in pain, feeling the man's finger pierce his shoulder.
"It's you who doesn't know who you're fighting against." Mister L affirmed, seeing him fall to the ground, while screaming.
Hatterene use PHYCHIC.
Surprised, Mister L felt his feet leave the ground, while his body floated in the air.
" Huh ? "
Raising him to the ceiling, Hatterene then used her powers to make him plummet towards the ground. In an instant, Mister L's body hit the ground with force, while cracks appeared around him.
Hatterene use MAGICAL LEAF.
Eevee use SHADOW BALL.
However, as the two attacks flew towards Mister L, the man's body propelled itself towards the sky.
" GEPPO ! "
Surprised, the two pokemon saw Mister L who seemed to jump into the sky, before targeting them.
" RANKYAKU ! "
Struck by the gust of wind, the two pokemon were thrown backwards. Meanwhile, Mister K looked unhappy, as he dodged Velvet's attacks, who had targeted him. Seeing him do this, the demoness couldn't help but notice.
"This way of fighting…"
Growling in displeasure, Mister K finally brought the heel of his foot towards her face and hit her hard on the cheek. Forced to take a few steps back, Velvet felt blood coming from her nose.
Yet, simply passing her hand to wipe away the blood, she declared.
"At least you're not afraid to hit a woman like a carpenter I know."
Mister K remained silent, while the duo continued their fight. For his part, having gotten up, Luffy once again aimed his fist at Mister B's face.
" PISTOL ! "
" SORU ! "
Dodging Luffy's fist while moving at full speed, Mister B then raised his leg in the air, before bringing his foot down towards Luffy. Luckily, Luffy jumped to the side to avoid the attack. Grinding the ground beneath his feet, Mister B growled in displeasure.
It was at this moment that the sounds of hooves were heard.
Boufallant use HEAD CHARGE.
Feeling the pokemon hit him in the abdomen, Mister B's feet moved back several meters. Yet, resisting the impact, he directed his hands towards the pokemon's horns. Grabbing them, he then spun around like a top. Unable to resist his strength Bouffalant felt his hooves leave the ground as his body began to spin, until his opponent let go.
Despite his imposing weight, the bison felt robbed like a rag doll, before crashing to the ground. But having barely had time to get rid of him, Mister B turned around to see Luffy coming towards him again.
" GUM GUM ... "
Unfortunately a foot hit his back hard, causing him to fall to the ground. Having fun crushing him under his feet, Mister L questioned him.
"Do you honestly think you can protect your companions by being this weak?"
"Luffy!" Zoro growled, getting up.
" Damn it ! " Roared Gin.
" CIENTE FLORS! "
Surprised, the two men as well as the other pirates felt arms pushed against their bodies, immobilizing them.
" What ? "
While Miss F had just cut the ropes tying her up, Robin had hastened to stand up and cross her arms.
" Robin ? "
Looking down, Robin seemed undecided. Luffy had just told her that he would do anything to protect and help her. But, in front of her, seeing the bodies of her friends already on the ground, she had just understood that even Luffy's convictions and power had a limit. He was unable to protect her from the rest of the world.
"What you're doing is stupid." Robin stated. "I already told you! I have no intention of returning to you."
"Robin..." Luffy whispered, trying to get up.
Unfortunately, he felt Mister L's foot hit him in the jaw, forcing him to stay on the ground. Then, Mister L jumped towards Robin.
" We leave. "
Nodding, Mister B held out his hand in front of him. Then, suddenly a door opened in the air.
" DOOR DOOR ! "
"A door?" Nami wondered.
"Bye bye!" Miss F said, stepping inside the door. "And if you try to follow us, we will kill you."
Seeing Velvet step back to dodge a kick, Mister K rushed towards the door. For his part, Mister L placed his hand on Robin's shoulder, before ordering.
" Follow us. "
"I know what I have to do." Robin retorted, heading towards the air door.
" ROBIN ! "
Managing to stand up, as she pressed her hand against her injured abdomen, Vivi declared.
"I know you're being forced to do this! I know you were forced to kill Iceberg! I don't know why you're doing it but...I know you're not a murderer."
"So what?" Robin asked, turning his back on him.
"No matter what evil you have done to those around you, I forgive you." Vivi vowed. "So, wait for us! Robin, we'll come for you."
Hearing this, Robin gritted his teeth, while grumbling.
" Bakayaro ! "
Then she took a step forward and walked through the door, followed by Mister B.
" ROBIN! " Luffy shouted, forcing himself to his feet.
Suddenly, wingbeats were heard. Descending from the sky, Hattori flew towards Mister L and landed on his shoulder.
"A pigeon?" Luffy was surprised.
"We will return to Galley-La HQ to kill Iceberg ! As my comrade said, if you follow us, we will kill you." Mister L assured, entering inside the door.
Despite his words, Luffy rushed towards him.
" ROOOOOBBBBBBBBIIIIIINNNNNN !
Stretching his hand out in front of him, Luffy wanted to enter the air gate. Unfortunately, as soon as Mister L disappeared from sight, the door closed before disappearing like a mirage.
