A.N. — The last of the three August 8 birthday celebrants is this member of the League of Villains, who seems to have more morals than the rest of his brethren. Doing a write on mutant discrimination leading him to villainy appeared to be the obvious choice, so I went another direction here (though one of my discarded drabbles was about his weak Gecko quirk). Happy birthday, Shuichi Iguchi.
221. Shuichi Iguchi/Spinner
Shuichi sometimes wonders if he'd've been happier being a NEET shut-in playing video games rather than slumming it in various hideouts with the League.
The less sane Shigaraki became (and the more disconnected they got from Stain's ideals), the more Spinner's discontent grew. The Hero Killer had at least held true to his core beliefs; Spinner, though, was at the mercy of a man whose whims changed at his Sensei's discretion. And every time Shuichi tried to steer the League's directions back on a course he agreed with, he was rebuffed. Spinner slouched, shamed, forever in his idol's shadow.
