A.N. — Humor drabbles have been sorely lacking from this story lately, and overall. So this birthday write is a great opportunity to get back into the habit with a character who makes sense to take that approach with. I just couldn't bring myself to write out a dialogue drabble, though that was my first intention. Happy birthday, Camie Utsushimi!
227. Camie Utsushimi/Illus-o-Camie
Her illusions were remarkable, but what most remembered about Camie Utsushimi was her mangling of language. Proper grammar and vocabulary, like her misty creations, seemed just a transient suggestion to the girl, pliant to her vacant thoughts. With her gifts of both gab and Glamour, anyone meeting Camie for the first time was usually left confounded and off-kilter — to her benefit.
Camie appeared airheaded, but distracting and discomfiting folks with both speech and sights was her jam. She wasn't some basic bitch; Camie bounced along to her own beat. If you couldn't follow along, you deserved to fall behind.
