A world with quirks means its people are going to wind up rather quirky. Whether heroes, villains, or somewhere in-between, every BnHA character deserves to have their story told. These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Beru Asui is happy at home with her family of five. But the norm is about to be shaken up.

261. Enigma

A.N. — I took the time over the weekend to lay out the final months of this series. No more open dates, everyone! These next two characters are connected in the Vigilantes manga, but their drabbles aren't. This sidekick got put here, on my sister's birthday, sort of as a joke... but also because tomorrow's character has a tenuous link to the date.

261. Enigma

Enigma chose her code name to lend an air of mystery to her quirk, rather than draw attention to it.

At first glance, the sidekick with the long pigtails, empty eyes and a grin full of teeth was completely unassuming. But when Enigma activated her quirk, the cute veneer gave way to a gargantuan, void-like monstrosity. That jump scare quality was great for getting the drop on villains, but it could take fellow heroes aback, too. So Enigma was elusive, apprehensive almost, with using her abilities. Playing coy with her quirk, it turned out, unfortunately hid Enigma's natural friendliness.

A.N. 2 — For readers here on ff.n, the site's most recent downtime seems to have broken the story stats... again. I have empty columns for each day since the outage. I don't think this chapter's gonna be among the most popular, but yesterday should've been up there.
