Both teenagers had shock in their eyes:
Daphne because she was about to get married to the one and only Harry Potter, and Harry because he had no idea about who she was except for her name.
To him, she looked pretty calm about the whole situation, like she didn't seem to worry or anything. He, on the other side, was beginning to panic. He looked to his godfather again, hoping for hints or anything, but Sirius was as much distressed as him…
Then, out of nowhere, she snapped at Eva, Her cold demeanour still unshaken, she said, "For the love of God Eva leave lord Black alone!"
Eva immidiatly responded to her and let go of Sirius and Harry guessed that the mother his father promised was Daphne's and she was the one he must get married to now.
He was marrying the ice queen.

.
And the realization hit him too late, He could clearly say goodbye to his inexperienced love life that he dreamt to have in his youth, goodbye! He couldn't even get himself a girlfriend and now he is looking at who she was supposed to be his wife. 'WELL DONE DAD!' he wanted to cry if he could choke his dad from grave but Sirius was here and turned to him with flash of ready to kill my godfather in the eyes.
Daphne Greengrass boycotted his train of thoughts,"Potter is not ready yet, we can hold up a bit I am pretty sure that Phobos won't notice your few hours absence Lord commander," Daphne said, shrugging making Eva stiff in her place and glancing in fear at Berz.
There was some tense air around Daphne Greengrass and Berz Carmichael, She walked toward one of the church seats and sat down, closing her eyes.
Harry gave her a suspicious look, but was thankful that she choose to stop this ridiculous scene and gave him time to clean his thoughts, he walked toward his godfather and told him to spill everything right there and right now—he pointed to the others, inviting them to join in as well.
Eva looked to Berz, who nodded back.
The four of them sat down facing each other as Harry waited for his answers, restless.
Daphne knew he was mad without even looking at him. But who could blame him—up until this moment, he had never spoken or even acknowledged her existence yet he had just learned he was about to wed her. It was funny to think about, actually, despite the whole story.
She preferred to give the boy—or the young man, rather—at least an explanation; he deserved to have one. She knew Eva wouldn't mind and would understand, so Daphne would wait—she had the whole night for it ahead of her, after all...
Eva was the first to speak. "We already introduced ourselves. We, as you should probably already know, are the knights of a royal family, and when I say royal family I mean the magical imperial family, the Vasilians."
Wait what? Harry was flabbergasted. What that had to do with him and how he never heard of this royals, are they branches of the British royalty?
"According to Sirius, you don't know anything about them. In short, there is a royal magical family in this world but only the twenty-eight sacred families, ministers, and high-ranking Wizards like Albus Dumbledore and a few others know about it. For everyone else, it is a myth, a family who had died out years ago and is long forgotten. Yeah, shocking, isn't it... The important thing is that right now, the royals are at war and with this new dark lord's arrival, things aren't so good... Sirius is one of the most trusted men to the late queen, including your father, may he rest in peace. This girl, on the other hand, is the last surviving member of the actual main family of the Vasilians and to make sure no one is going to harm her, we need to marry her off or she dies...pretty simple."
Harry, who was still trying to absorb such a big piece of news in such a short amount of time, looked again to the girl, whose eyes were still closed—someone might think she had fallen asleep. He almost thought thanks to Ron's description and Draco's arrogance that the Malfoys were royals after a few minutes of silence in the deserted church, he cleared his throat and spoke. "So the Greengrass are royals?" Many people told him he had some hero complex, always risking his life and health for the sake of other people, but for the first time, he felt like this was a sacrifice he couldn't afford to make.
"No silly, but that a story for another time," Eva said, she was really giving a warm vibes to the place.
Sirius stood up and walked towards Daphne. "Both James and I would have done anything to save Queen Diane's daughter. Bad things happen to everyone in life and right now she is alone. Please consider it as last favour to me Harry, just do it and with time you'll understand,"
Daphne scuffed. She was mean to those who she supposed to be saved by them.
Harry couldn't believe how desperate Sirius was, begging him for help like that… Well, if this is the price that needs to be paid for Sirius to be able to live a normal life again, then I will accept.
"Alright, I think we have a wedding ceremony to perform, ready Greengrass?" Was all Harry said to hear exclamations of joy and excitement from both Sirius and Eva.
Sirius explained to him what the vows should contain and he memorised them immediately because they were similar to his parents' vows, and those Sirius had once told him about when he visited Harry in the cave during the fourth year. Back then, he had brought him his family cloak to wear...
Everything needed for the conduction of the ceremony was taken care of: the cloaks, the vows, the groom, and the bride were all in place, and so finally, the ceremony started.
And Harry was doing it for real.
Eva escorted the bride to her future husband, as she was her closest living relative. Daphne was wearing a cloak of the colours of her house, called the "maiden's cloak"—according to the old traditions, this signified the bride's passing from her father's protection into her husband's protection.
Berz started talking. ''Who comes before the Old Gods this night?"
Daphne was silent for a while and Harry wondered if she had a second thoughts too, but she proved him wrong when she spoke "—Rhaenys Phopine Eumelia, of the House Vasilian, comes here to be wed. A woman grown up, trueborn, and noble. She comes to beg for the blessing of God," Daphne said, her voice calm. Harry blinking, so it Daphne was not her real name after all but that name was long.
"Who comes to claim her?" Berz asked.
"—Harry James, of House Potter, heir to the Potters and the Blacks," Harry said, surprised by his own relaxed behaviour. And it was strange.
"Who gives her away?"
"—Ivana, of the House Vonavish, who was… who was her father's, her mother's ward," Eva answered.
Then Berz prayed to the olds and told them to join their hands.
The couple held hands, and when their hands touched skin to skin, Harry thought that Daphne's hands were not ice her famous title on Hogwarts, they stood side by side. Berz literally tied their joined hands with magical ribbon symbolised their union.
Daphne felt as if her heart was about to jump out of its place even though the circumstances tonight weren't what she had always wished for; still, it was her wedding, so like any girl, she was nervous. She looked to her soon-to-be husband and felt her cheeks heat up: this young man stood tall and proud, and although she might have never looked at him directly in Hogwarts, she was aware of his reputation, and he was indeed the way Tracey had described.
He was tall and handsome despite his messy black hair and that scar on his forehead. She looked over to his eyes—they were pure emerald green, her favourite colour. Before she even realised, those eyes were staring back at her, and she averted her gaze to Berz, abashed that he had caught her staring at him.
Harry felt her looking on him. He catched ice-blue eyes ogling him. She whom those belonged to flushed and looked away and Harry felt some kind of warmth inside him so he smiled faintly. He felt her hand tightening around his, she was as nervous as him.
Daphne—or rather, Rhaenys, he should get used to that—was indeed a beautiful young witch. she was petite in stature, shorter than him… Lost in his thoughts, he finally heard Berz clearing his throat as a signal for them to start saying their vows.
"I am yours and you are mine from this day until the end of my days, from this day until my last day," both said in unison.
"You may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection," Berz looked over to Harry.
Harry watched as Daphne—Rhaenys—kneeled before him, removing her family's cloak and waiting for him to wrap his around her shoulders as he did. It gave him a whole different sensation.
Berz declared, "We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife...Let it be known that Rhaenys and Harry of the Houses Vasilian and Potter are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder."
"In the sight of magic, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity."
With this, Harry was supposed to end the vows by kissing her. He had never kissed before so this was his first kiss. He was sweating from the anxiety until he saw Sirius give him a wink of encouragement. Harry held his breath and said, "With this kiss, I pledge my love."
Daphne was going to faint. She had never kissed before and now her husband was going to kiss her; she saw him bow his head to her, closing his eyes slowly as he got closer. She told herself, 'This is your husband now, lady, get over it,' then leaned to him and their lips met for the first time.
It felt like an eternity for them. It was a slow kiss but full of emotion, as if they had done it before. Suddenly, she felt his lips part away from hers and she opened her eyes to see those green ones staring at her through the glasses.
They both looked away, blushing. Sirius came forward and hugged Harry tightly, saying that he had never been more proud of him than now, and he began to cry like a baby, which made Harry laugh.
Daphne turned to Berz waiting for him to say something, anything to her, she hasn't seen him in months and this was their first interaction after what happened in the palace, the scar that run down his face have her guilt.
" I have finished my duty to her majesty Diane," he said, firmly and walked out.
Daphne looked down biting her lower lip, he was finally free of his bonding towards her and her late mother. Eva came and gently kissed both of Daphne's cheeks, smiling with tears in her eyes and thanking the Gods for letting her see this day. "You did great, Eros and Diane will be so proud of you,"
"Is that supposed to be a compliment,"
"Consider it that way, Mrs Potter," she winked at her.
"Father will be rolling in his grave now," she smiled back and Eva's smile disappeared. "It's a jest," Daphne added.
Eva hugged her again and cried, making Daphne feel uncomfortable and her eyes fell on Harry Potter who glanced up at her.
Daphne looked at her and in a soft tone, said, "Can I speak to my lord husband before we leave?"
Harry looked at her and shrugged, "Of course..."
Before Eva could butt in, Sirius pulled her by the arm out of the church, leaving the young suddenly newlyweds alone.
They stayed quiet for a moment in awkwardness until Harry rubbed his head, speaking nervously, "So... We're husband and wife eh... Weird, isn't it? I hope this will work out; if Sirius thinks positively about it—and I have big faith in him—then so shall I…"
He was about to walk out before she grasped his sleeve and said quietly, "I'm sorry for dragging you into this," it was hard for her to let out words but she found herself speaking anyway, even though she was not in position she could even feel sympathy to anyone but herself, " I know you've been probably going through some shit this days, yet you choose to continue on this which I will be grateful for eternity… I also want to make it work, and I meant every word when I said 'I'm yours'." She give him a weak smile, letting go of him.
Harry's eyes widened and blinked, then he nodded to her and left...
As he left her behind, she stared at his back. She wrapped herself in his cloak and looked up at the moon through the glass in the old building; she smiled at her own words before, saying, "I am true to my word. Eros I hope you're happy wherever you are now,"
