Harry woke the next day a bit delighted, remembering his meeting last night. Still, he couldn't understand why he was happy—was it because, for the first time, he hadn't stuttered when talking to a girl or because Daphne seemed different from other Slytherins?

Sure, he had thought that she was going to hex him or curse him or insult him but she hadn't; she had been really calm despite her anxious self when she saw that box. He had wished her to open it but she didn't—apparently, she didn't trust him. Of course, why would she? They barely know each other and had both married out of duty...

He joined his friends for breakfast but everyone's eyes were on him. He hated that—didn't they have anything else to talk about but him? Seamus was avoiding him since he didn't show up earlier the night before—Mrs Finnegan wasn't gonna let him come back to Hogwarts.

Harry felt sorry for the bloke: everyone believed Daily Prophet and it was affecting the lives of everyone around him—Dumbledore's most of all. He hated it...

He didn't see Daphne at the great hall during breakfast and didn't see her during the first period either, and he was kind of relieved she wasn't there—Snape embarrassed him in front of the whole class because he forgot to add one of the ingredients into his potion. He didn't want her to see him look like a fool. He kept wondering why he wanted to look good in front of her. She made him feel normal in her own way—maybe it was her magic or her beauty or both.

The Divination was Harry's least favourite class after Potions, which was mainly due to Professor's habit of predicting his premature death every few lessons. 'Why didn't she show up for the first class, is it that box?' he thought but then shrugged. The bell rang and the next lesson started; it was Defense Against The Dark Arts with the Umbridge woman.

Daphne didn't sleep the whole night. She kept staring at the box; she wanted badly to open it but she couldn't: afraid, ashamed—maybe both or maybe neither.

The box had her family's crest on it. The moment she touched it, she felt a strong aura of magic coming out of it, and not any magic of her brother's, even though this box had once belonged to her Eros. Now her brother was gone and she was the owner of the box. Even in his death, he still thought of her safety and her comfort, which made her feel the guilt and shame of her sin—the sin that was filling her soul, growing every day within her. Seeing that box only brought back the scars of her past, reminded her of her mistake; she was a sinner but she kneeled and asked for forgiveness, trying hard to be the good girl...

Being a married woman meant that the past was in the past and she must be devoted to her husband.

That's what she'd been raised to believe in. A proper lady should always protect and be loyal to her house. Her house was Potter now, and she would do her best not to embarrass the name... A Vasilian, then a Greengrass, and now a Potter.

She didn't attend the classes on the first day—she couldn't, she had no power to face other people or the teachers and their questions so she kept looking out of her dorm's window at the black lake. She just saw a giant squid when her door opened ajar, letting in Tracey, who ran towards her bed, jumping out of her school robes with a whining voice.

Daphne went over to her, picking up the clothes from the floor with a sigh.

"Honestly, could you ever be more childish?" she gave Tracey a dramatic look with her eyebrow raised and a smirk on her lips.

"Daph! I'm sooo tired, you've no idea how awful today was! Trelawney descried a large dark cloud hanging over my life, then this Umbridge was literally such a bitch—" Tracey said, jumping from her bed to her trunk for a pair of clothes.

"Language! " Daphne warned her, smiling at her energetic friend.

The girl continued talking, "You missed out on all the fun. Your excuse was strong thanks to Snape, he let you bunk the class..."she grabbed a silver pack from her trunk and pulled one cigarette out, then lit it as Daphne was listening to her. "Anyway, as I was saying, you missed the fun part, this Umbridge woman is one of a kind: she pissed Potter off and things turned pretty nasty between the two. I bet if she had kept playing on his nerves, he would have murdered her! ".

Daphne looked surprised, 'Harry!?'

She leaned forward eagerly for more details but her friend was so busy with her cigarette that she forgot she was telling a story.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Daphne yelled at her friend, causing her to jump.

She returned to the bed next to Daphne and resumed relaying the events of the day.

"It started with this year's bullshit syllabus that Umbridge ordered us to follow and according to which, we're not supposed to use our wands at all, only learn the theory, and believe me, even Granger lost her temper—" she took a drag on the fag and continued, "...anyway, Parvati asked her if there would be any practice this year and the bitch said no.

"'As long as you have studied the theory hard enough, there is no reason why you should not be able to perform the spells'," she mocked and then delved into the details...

"Without having ever practiced them before?" said Parvati, incredulous.

"Are you telling us that the first time we'll get to do the spells will be during our exam?"

"I repeat, as long as you have studied the theory hard enough —"

Then Harry snapped.

"And what good's the theory going to be in the real world?" he cried out, his fist in the air again.

Umbridge looked up. "This is school, Mr. Potter, not the real world," she said softly.

"So we're not supposed to be prepared for what's waiting out there?"

"There is nothing waiting out there, Mr. Potter."

"Oh yeah?" said Harry. His temper seemed to be reaching the boiling point.

"Who do you imagine wants to attack children like yourselves?" inquired Professor Umbridge in a horribly honeyed voice.

"Hmm, let's think..." Harry drawled on, his voice mockingly thoughtful, "maybe Lord Voldemort?"

He mentioned the name bravely and everyone gasped in fear—Umbridge, however, did not flinch. She looked at Potter with a grimly satisfied expression, took ten points from Gryffindor, and continued lecturing the class as if nothing had happened and what Harry had said was of no importance, but that didn't satisfy him.

"...so he reminded her about Diggory's tragic death and believe me, he was, like, being so bold, it made me shiver and turned me on at the same time, hahaha, so Umbridge kicked him out of class and sent him to McGonagall. Oh, if only you'd been there—even Draco was stunned and didn't mock him," Tracey finished, standing up to leave Daphne muted in the room. And this was just the first day.

Dinner in the Great Hall that night was not a pleasant experience for Harry. The news about his shouting match with Umbridge seemed to have traveled exceptionally fast even by Hogwarts' standards. He heard whispers all around him as he sat eating between Ron and Hermione. The funny thing was that none of the whisperers seemed to mind him overhearing what they were saying about him—on the contrary, it was as though they were hoping he would get angry and start shouting again so that they could hear his story firsthand.

"He says he saw Cedric Diggory getting murdered..."

"He reckons he dueled with You-Know-Who..."

"Come off it..."

"Who does he think he's kidding?"

"What I don't get," said Harry in a shaking voice, laying down his knife and fork, "when is everyone gonna get it, this is not something to joke about." A murder had happened and everyone kept blaming him, Harry kept thinking.

Hermione tried to soothe away his weariness and so did Ron but nothing was working. He was about to leave the hall but as he was walking toward the entrance, Daphne walked in with a tired face. He was about to stop but she passed him, looking him in the eyes. No words escaped her lips but…

'I'm fine.'

As soon as he got out of the hall, he halted. 'Did I just... understand her… without any words?' he asked himself.

Daphne sat between her friends having dinner? everyone was worried about her even Draco was kind and gentle with her but she tried to avoid it,saving herself from pansy's wrath ;she looked at the Gryffindor's table remembering Harry's face as he walked out of the looked sad and she felt sorry for him, especially after hearing what had happened, being his wife is her duty to stand by him and be his support, and this will be even if they don't love each other and all this is build on benefits but she will be faithful to her vow and will keep he word ..

Meanwhile at the Thorpe Park in London

A red-haired woman, wearing a long black dress, a denim jacket, a small bag, and sunglasses, was talking over the phone. "Where are you, I've been waiting here for over thirty minutes! I'm sitting on the edge of the fountain and waving my hand like crazy."

"I'm here, I'm here," replied a man with light brown hair, dressed in blue jeans and a brown leather jacket. He then spotted the red-haired woman sitting there and waving at him. "Ah, I can see you," he hung up and went running to her.

With a hug, he apologised over and over until she smiled.

"Honestly! Nice disguise, by the way," she said looking at him.

"Hahaha, you too. Okay, let's go," he laughed but she didn't. She grasped him by the collar and dragged him with her.

Then, the couple played almost every game in the park—game after game without intermission.

After this long day, they apparated to the outside of a rooftop bar and entered it.

Taking their first shots, they both feigned exaggeratedly tired sighs. "Oi... EVA!.. Oi!" said the man, shaking his head dramatically in the air.

The woman giggled, for his gesture started attracting people.

"Snap out of it, Sirius...you had fun too," she said, waving to the waiter to bring more drinks to their table.

"Yeah, yeah, but when Albus discovers I'm not there, I will get scolded, not you," he said with a rising eyebrow and a smirk.

"You're a grown man, you spent twelve years in prison—it's time to be free. Maybe it was a mistake inviting you after all, though," she replied, propping her head up with her hand and closing her eyes...

They both got closer and Sirius waved his wand, muttering Muffiliato so that no one would hear what they were saying after the waiter put down their drinks and left.

"Good place you picked," Sirius said, looking around. Eva looked at him with one eye open.

"Yeah, muggle place, I come here every time I need a drink in the fresh air. Besides, this is my first day off in maybe forever—honestly, I cannot even remember when was the last time I relaxed, especially with knowing that the box is with her. I feel like a big burden is off my shoulders now," said Eva with a heavy sigh, sipping her drink.

Sirius looked at her with his eyes darkening.

"How bad is it?" he leaned towards her.

She looked up. "Can't even describe it...all I know is that the box is with her and that I kept my promise... Our leader is dead and his sister is in hiding and thousands of our men are ashes now. A few survived but...not enough," she said, looking at the dark sky.

"I didn't imagine it would be that bad, do you know what's in the box?" he said, remembering that night in July.

Eva let out a sarcastic laugh. "Nah, Eros always had his tricks. Eva was always his favourite sister of all, he probably left her something very important to both of them. They were always close..who would have thought that the great dynasty would have fallen. "

Sirius looked at the sky, brushing his hair with his fingers. "Daphne...Harry... Voldy... And now this... I think this is the end of the game, isn't it."

Eva kept staring at him and the muffled "How are things between you and him" escaped her lips.

He knew she was asking about his relationship with Harry. His took in a sharp breath. He fished from his pocket a pack of cigarettes and took one in his mouth. In a few moments, he started talking. "I don't know. Sometimes I see him as Harry and sometimes I see him as James. Everyone thinks I'm a bad influence. I don't want to hide things from him, I want to tell him everything so he will always be prepared for the outside world, in case... in case I won't be there. In the past, because I discovered the truth, I was able to pull myself out of the gaping pit before it swallowed me. I want to do the same for Harry. I want to tell him why Voldy wants him. What his father and I did... I want to tell him everything he needs..." he said, burying himself in his hands.

Eva looked at him, then glanced off to the side because of how uncomfortable the situation was and also out of annoyance.

"Why don't you tell him then, about the prophecy?" she asked without looking at him.

He stared at her. "Are you crazy? It will destroy him, knowing that he was part of the reason which led to his parents' death; he is FIFTEEN!" he said, his voice angry. "I will tell him if you tell Daphne how Eros died," he said, the last part mocking.

Now it was Eva's turn to be quiet. She took the cigarette from his hand and smoked it.

"...fine, don't tell him. I-I can't...if I tell her... She will not only blame herself...she is different. She's not Diane, it will destroy her," she said the last part with pain.

"I don't think it will...from what I saw, she can handle anything."

"You saw? Haha," she let out a hysterical laugh. Sirius was confused. She downed her full glass in one go and let the drink burn through her.

"You saw Daphne Greengrass the other day—the snake who was raised among snakes, not Rhaenys".

That arrested his attention. "What do you mean?" he asked, blinking.

Eva looked at him intently, a bit drunk.

"It means it wasn't Rhaenys...the princess's character is the full opposite of Daphne. She is determined and when she has a goal, she chases it until she reaches it. She was always clever. Who knew her, would have discovered how shocked she was that night. When the grievance ends, we will welcome her back... Daphne is the ice and Rhaenys is the fire...Eros wouldn't do anything without realizing the consequences of it—after all, she is a Vasilian," Eva explained.

Sirius felt bitter for a moment. Had he made a mistake by marrying Harry off to Daphne, he wondered, staring at his hands.

"All right, I bet I can drink more than twenty shots," Eva said all of a sudden.

"Twenty!? Do ya see me as a horny kid, Eva?" Sirius said, looking offended. She smirked at him.

After a long drinking battle between the two and dancing all night, Eva almost passed out and threw up on Sirius, so he took her and apparated outside a hotel—he couldn't take her to Grimmauld's. She was giggling while he was trying to hold her.

He rented a room—once he let go of her to take the key from the receptionist, she lost balance and fell on her face.

Once at the door, they were saying their goodbyes.

"Thanks, Eva; honestly, I felt alive again after I had forgotten why I was breathing in the first place," he said, staring into her eyes.

"I should thank you too, I was happy and I haven't had so much fun in eons, paddy," she said, giggling as she was trying to open the door but she missed it. He took the key and opened it himself. She thanked him with a wave of her hands, pretending to be worshipping a god.

"Oi! EVA! Oi," he said, whipping his head dramatically.

"Oi! Sirius, Oi," she copied him, laughing.

They paused with serious looks at each other, face to face.

Out of the blue, they jumped on each other, kissing eagerly, hungrily they both need it .Eva barely made it past the room door before she felt his arm wrap around her waist, she pushed him towards the nearest wall and closed the door behind them ...
