Chapter 18
Morning arose when Harry found the warm body of Daphne sleeping peacefully next to him, lighting a candle on his bedside table,to glance around for any sign of something wrong.
A huge grin crossing his face as he moved her hair off her sleeping face.
He stole a glance at the lone window in the room, it was still dark but it was calm, which meant the storm died hours ago.
He laid next to Daphne, contemplating his situation with her. Was this alright?
True they had been married for five months now. Had they rushed for the next step? He blamed hormones, the change in his body and the whole change in his life; everytime Daphne was around him, she made his skin shiver. He had not been able to hold himself last night, he had never felt this way in his entire life, what happened the night before was like a dream. Who would have guessed that Harry Potter will lose his virginity in Grimmauld Place under the noses of everyone and that to the lovely ice queen and the princess of his heart?
While everyone thought that he was having a crush on Cho Chang, he was falling in love with this ice queen of Hogwarts.
She didn't pretend around him, and spoke freely of what was in her mind. She was known for her silence towards people.
But she chose to trust him amongst everyone. She even risked herself and came there despite everything at his most critical time.
She might find it difficult to show her true emotions but she was responsive to him.
Which was a huge and great progress in their relationship. Not to mention the sex, which was magnificent.
He flinched when he heard a moan, his head turned to see his beautiful wife unconsciously snuggling more into him, searching for warmth, the covers weren't enough for her.
It wasn't the first time he was seeing it, they slept together before, but they didn't pass beyond cuddling. Now they shagged and there was no return.
His life was an open book, everyone meddled in it and had their parts, he had never had his own choice, the marriage wasn't his own choice but now it had become.
She was his secret.
Some weird feeling was stirring in his body, he thought it was his imagination that he should shove it off.
Daphne opened her eyes slowly feeling some soreness, forgetting where she was.
Like she was having some hangover from some poor night with Tracey, the warmth of the body that she was snuggled into reminded her of the night before.
"Harry?"
He heard a sleepy voice, his head turned to her "Daphne morning."
The room was still slightly illuminated from the candle.
'So it wasn't a dream after all,' she rose from the bed to place her upper body on his, feeling sore. Harry tensed as he felt his new favorite parts of her body on his ribcage.
"What time is it?"
"Emm 5:15 am," he answered, turning softly, trying not to disturb her, looking at his watch .
"...Early..."
He nodded as ice eyes met emerald green.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like I am just reborn," her voice barely reached a whisper, her eyes closed.
She didn't lie, she felt heavenly, in cloud nine with him, and for the first time she had slept for two nights in a row without sleeping potions and her magic control pills. And she had no nightmares as a result.
She had also turned into a woman and gave her fruit to Harry.
"Love?" he called her as she laid her head on his warm chest.
"Hmmm," she hummed to him while her mind was driving away, she hadn't felt this peaceful for so long.
"Is there something wrong with my face?" Harry's voice interrupted her day dreaming,
She moved her head to face him, her chin still laid on his body.
"No, why?" she asked innocently.
"I don't know, I feel something is within me, something strong," he murmured.
"Oh," she said as if it was normal.
"Ohh," he mimicked sarcastically.
She rose to a sitting position next to him, she shivered from the cold wave hitting her as she parted from him.
"I think it's a normal effect from...our coitus," she said, laying her head in her palm.
"Coi– effect!?" he snapped, surprised as he sat next to her.
It was awkward to hear that word from her.
"Well, last night we sealed our marriage and you popped my cherry–," she paused for a moment feeling the discussion to be a bit awkward. She bit her lower lip in the dilemma of telling him the truth.
"And I'm not any normal maiden… I'm a Vasilian child, we have some celestial gifts, when someone weds or beds with a virgin from our family… em … we unconsciously, magically transform some of our powers to the groom…,"she answered, playing nervously with her fingers.
Daphne raised her gaze up to meet with a shocked Harry.
She snapped her fingers in front of him to bring him back to reality,
"You mean the feeling I had last night was because of you?" Harry tried to process this new information, remembering the sudden squeeze in his heart the night before.
Daphne didn't understand what kind of feeling he was talking about but she nodded.
"What feeling are you talking about?" she questioned him.
Harry's left hand went to his heart and moved down his abdomen, closing his eyes remembering the feeling.
"It felt like cold water was running through my veins and… it changed to a sensation of lightning running through my entire body, kept pushing me to take more."
Daphne's eyes widened surprisingly, the air around them felt different, the waves of power rolling off him.
"...This...this is the power you gave me," Harry's words brought back Daphne to consciousness.
Daphne was scared of his reaction, of him.
The way he spoke, she was scared he might end up using her just like her dad did to her mother.
She was scared that the power would turn him dark.
Harry glanced at his scared wife, in a way he was surprised by her reaction,"Wha-why didn't you tell me?" he cleared his voice softly.
"Will you still want me if I told you?" she pouted.
"Daphne! What?...did you think—," Harry swallowed his words looking at the scared face Daphne showed, he brushed his hair anxiously and sighed deeply.
He didn't even wait to hear a reply before tugging her against his side and tucking his arm around her.
"Even if you told me, I won't take advantage of you...I don't need power to sleep with my wife," he smiled at her.
"Really?" Daphne's voice was hopeful.
She had to admit that being reclined against him with him holding her there was very pleasant.
Being skin to skin helped take away the chill from the room and made it feel more cosy.
She tensed when she felt him grabbing her pale arse.
"Nevertheless, I won't mind another round," Harry smirked, jumping on top of her.
She giggled at his wicked hands as they were exploring her body in a teasing motion, while his sweet and soft lips were moving from behind her ear to her chin, whispering into her ear of how much he cared for her and craved her.
She held her hands to his warm chest.
"How about a bath first," she suggested, her eyes darting to the bathroom.
"Or it wasn't on your list," she smirked.
"Alright...Alright," he nodded his head lazily as he rose stark naked from the bed filling the cold air around him, lighting the fireplace.
Before he headed toward the bathroom something entered from the window like a ghost making the couple jump surprised.
Harry grasped his wand in a flash towards his wife to shield her while she covered her top with the cover beneath.
The ghost shaped a tiny white fox, the size of a Quaffle, which caused Daphne to gasp, she pushed Harry aside to face it.
"Hello! Little one," Daphne greeted smiling opening her arms to the little animal.
The fox crept into her lap holding between his teeth a little packed box.
Daphne glanced up to see Harry staring at her with concern.
"Oh, do relax please, this little one is a friend, aren't you?" she looked down and the fox licked her palm causing her to giggle.
When Daphne was about to open the box the fox fled through the window in the air like it was a ghost.
"Wait!" Daphne called upon the tiny fox but got silence as a response making her pout.
"I really wanted to thank him," she pouted.
"Could you please explain," Harry groaned.
"Sorry, I was caught in the moment," she smiled apologizing.
She turned her focus to the box and gestured to him to sit down again.
"It is a gift from my wicked fox…," she whispered softly with a warm smile.
"Shall we see?" she winked at him, passing it to him to open it cheering merrily.
Harry glanced between her and the box before he started unwrapping it.
Both blinked from surprise as they looked at each other.
"A rice!?"
"A Sekihan!?"
The two spoke at the same time.
"A what?" Harry's brow knitted from confusion watching his wife's face turn a full shade of red.
"Seriously that old man… it's a Japanese traditional dish for ce-celebrations," she explained, raising her hand in his face, stopping him from further asking any question, "Don't ask. I had spent a lot of time with that man."
"There is a note," He said, taking it in his hands.
" 'congratulations on embracing!'" Harry read it.
Daphne buried herself under the pillow groaning from annoyance.
" 'P.S this rice is showered with a contraceptive potion and my love..
Kou,' " Harry added.
"What!"
"How did he manage to enter?" Harry moved lazily from the bed to the window gazing at the street.
"Was that fox your spiritual guardian Kou?" Harry asked.
"Nooo, one of his clan kids probably, Kou is a very very large giant silver fox, with nine tails can you believe it!" her voice held amusement talking magnificently about the fox.
Making Harry curious and eager to meet him.
"But he is a very lazy, annoying, arrogant man," she whined describing him
Harry turned to the bathroom, wanting to prepare a warm bath for his princess, leaving the door wide open.
Daphne was so busy eying the note and the rice box that she didn't realize that Harry was stark naked, his body was muscled not too much but well-built and apparently she had done some damage to that skin last night. He turned to face her and she felt heat creep into her face.
"Someone is enjoying the view," he mocked proudly, before pulling up the boxer.
She got disappointed when he covered himself.
While he was checking the warm waters he could feel her eyes on him.
"Are you checking my butt?" he teased.
Daphne couldn't help but laugh as he caught her peeking at him from the bed.
She covered herself in a sheet and went to him as soon as her legs touched the ground ,she lost her balance, it felt like jelly yet she was determined to walk, by reaching him she wrapped her hands around him, kissing his back. Harry was truly blessed by having this incredible girl beside him.
"I ruined your back last night with my stupid nails," she whispered against his skin.
"Did you? Careful some still hurt, what are you going to do about them?" he raised a brow talking over his shoulder.
Daphne jumped at that.
"Oh my God! Oh Harry I'm sorry I didn't mean to! " Daphne snapped with frustration, hugging his back.
"Hey! Why are you sorry for stuff like that!" Harry said, trying not to blush.
"B-But your back!"
"I was just teasing you, it doesn't hurt. Actually it's hot!" he blurted accidently the last part causing her face to turn full to red.
'DAMMIT I DIDN'T WANT TO ADMIT I ENJOYED THAT!' his mind was gonna explode.
He turned and sat on the edge of the tub with his hands on her waist.
"I wandered through the Meadows of Paradise thanks to you," he smiled with a smile that made butterflies dance in her stomach again.
She was going to melt because of him, the way he talked, the way he looked at her. He was the only one that was able to see through her, and he was the only one that treated her with honesty, no fake courtesy, no fake manner.
"I believe the bath is ready, will my Lord husband honor me and join as well? He left me all by my own the day before," she cleared her throat and said with puppy eyes,"It was very lonely."
Harry didn't hesitate for a second, dropping the sheet from her body helping her get inside the warm waters and following her taking off his boxer making his way behind her in the tub.
Harry kissed her shoulder and laid back.
She didn't mind his relaxation as she was washing her legs of the blood
Harry was so relaxed in the tub, having the same treatment he had on Halloween night. He believed that sharing a bath with Daphne could be his new favorite hobby.
Once her inner thighs were clean she let out a groan as she stared at the faint pink marks that covered her skin. She didn't need to see to know that there were others on her neck and jawline and behind her ear.
She whined at him, "You made hickeys everywhere!"
Harry couldn't fight the proud smile in his face and shifted her to face him.
"Let me see. Oh No!" he faked concern.
Daphne couldn't help but slap his shoulder.
"Hey. I'm not the only guilty here," he defended himself reminding her of her own doing.
"No! It's not the same God dammit Harry!" she nagged.
"Why? You pretty much enjoyed me doing it," Harry raised a brow.
"Because I have a dress fitting rendezvous the day after tomorrow, and a very important one," she groaned
"Let them take your measurements from another dress," he answered lazily.
"Not any dress, Harry. A ball gown!" she said desperately, washing the rest of her body.
"Even the makeup won't hide them," she sniffed.
"A ball gown? Why would you have one?" his curiosity hit him.
She sighed loudly before turning to face him.
"The Malfoys are throwing a masquerade ball on New Year's Eve, and I'm invited. I know I'm not a social person but according to what Cyrus said I'm invited, and I have to go."
"Masquerade?" Harry could sense something unusual about this event, something suspicious.
He glanced up at his annoyed wife and sighed.
"I will find you some healing paste later, don't worry," he tried to smile and sooth her temper.
"You too did some pretty good damage to me. I'm hurt," he closed his eyes dramatically.
She looked down at his chest and saw them, she couldn't help but smile.
"Now we're equal," he grinned back as she giggled and washed both of their bodies.
Harry volunteered to clean her back and she laid trying to have some peaceful time with him enjoying his hands on her back.
"Tell me," she hummed.
"What?"
"What made you think you were possessed?"
"Oh, that," Harry hesitated.
"Well, I heard Mad-Eye talking to Sirius and Remus about what happened that night, and they believed I was connected with the snake some way."
"The snake?"
Harry nodded.
"Anyway, I couldn't face anyone afraid that I will put them in danger, and Voldemort or his snake will know about them and this place, so I isolated myself."
Daphne nodded listening to his explanation, his hands still washing her.
"Before you say anything else I couldn't tell anyone how I felt especially after you broke my heart, making things even worse… if Mad-Eye said that, it means that my condition was discussed with Dumbledore and he himself doesn't trust me...not anymore."
Daphne was about to say something but Harry was quick and interrupted her.
"I will find out the truth, and I will fight Voldemort with or without the order's trust," he finished with a voice full of determination.
"You have me and you have Sirius," Daphne smiled. " I will gather some men for you to fight, with or without the Order."
"Such a team! you and I," Harry laughed.
"I am serious ! There are still men who are loyal to my brother out there. One word of mine, they will answer the call at once," Daphne protested.
Harry kept his stare on her before he let out a deep sigh.
"Even though the offer is tempting, I have to reject it my love," he raised his brows with seriousness.
Daphne's shoulders slumped in response to his rejection.
Harry patted her shoulders and closed the distance and said.
"My reputation is still sensitive in the meantime, and you can't move on your own accord without the eyes of Greengrass on you, besides–," Harry leaned back to the edge of the tub with his hands laying on each side.
"Besides, Voldemort is still in hiding. Until he makes his public appearance we are not going to move," he finished.
Daphne, for the very first time, was speechless at his explanation, he was talking in logic and strategies.
Something rare for a Gryffindor.
Harry asked if he could massage her neck since she was sore.
She agreed gladly to the idea.
"I will no longer ask for Tracey's hands, my husband's ones are amaaaazing," she purred.
"Thank you my love, years of massaging my beloved aunt and uncle gave me a Mastery of massage," he said proudly.
"How lucky I am," she leaned to him as he went to her shoulders.
"So, your powers… do all the girls of your family have the same kind of gift?" Harry questioned.
"Just one…me, my mother, her mother, her great mother, great great mother from the very beginning of the time."
Harry was silenced from the way she responded to his question, her voice was empty.
'You are wrong. It is not a gift, it is a curse,' her inner self commented.
'That's why her father wanted her mother then, not just for the throne, wait does that make me now stronger than ever?' Harry's mind was linking the chain of the clues to answer his questions.
She didn't want to hear any more questions nor wanted to answer them. Harry was a sweet man but she couldn't tell him of all the powers he just had, he needed to discover them on his own, he would never understand their importance if he had it in the easiest way.
In her own world, she didn't know what was happening until she felt his hot breath on her ear.
Her eyes closed waiting for something.
Harry leaned closer to her, pulling her to lay back on his chest and started to whisper.
"My most sincere friend, my merry faced love, my daytime, my sweetheart, laughing leaf…
The most beautiful among the beautiful…
My world, My garden, My sweet,
The one only who does not distress me in the world..
My Slytherin Queen , My laurel tree ,My Morgana, the earth of my world…
My woman of beautiful hair, My angel of beautiful voice …
My fortune and my spring …
I'll sing the praises always…
I, lover of the tormented heart…
Happy to have this heart…
I, the Adam of his Eve
How could you seal my heart,
The moon is helpless in front of your beauty,
And here I am in submission to it,
O Sultana of my heart
I'll sing the praises always… "
The words were tender, the feelings in the words. The cadence of Harry's voice talking through the poem as he spoke each of those beautiful words.
Daphne was surprised and touched. All she wanted was nothing but to cry for those words as she felt herself live in their eternity.
Harry kissed the back of her neck deeply where the burning scar of hers lay.
She turned to Harry and captured his lips in a passionate kiss, his feelings were in poem and hers was in a kiss.
"I borrowed it from a muggle," he said to her lips.
"Liar," she said and he smiled against her lips.
Daphne knew it was his , she didn't read too much muggle poetry to know it was not theirs, but his."When did my handsome fierce lion write it?" she asked between kisses.
"Let's say not long time ago," he kissed her as his hand brushed the spine down in tormenting tease.
"You surprised me with a lullaby.., " his fingers moved silkely from her rounded butt cheeks to the front of her thighs.
Her breath was taken by the torture.
"Please," she gasped.
"Please what?" Harry whispered in her ear as his fingers brushed against her heated area teasing her labia.
"Let them in," she forced her answer.
One finger slid into her inner walls and a faint moan escaped her mouth.
"–you love poems and poetry," Harry's mouth moved silkily against her cheek as his finger kept moving in pace in and out while his thumb circles her clitoris.
A small smile played its way over her soft cherry lips and she ran a finger along the curve of his jaw burying her face in his neck while he was still fingering her.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to spoil me, you don't listen," she moaned, feeling a second finger joining inside her.
He brought her face to his with his free hand to see the beauty in her eyes.
His green eyes were locked on her, and his hand came up to cradle her cheek. His thumb traced across her lower lip, dragging it down ever so slightly.
"My sun, my shelter, my merry altar."
He eased his fingers out of her pussy and licked them tasting her, that turned Daphne on and attacked his mouth hungrily, he licked her lower lip and lifted her to sit on his lap.
Harry's hardened cock brushed against her heated in flames core.
"Another round won't sultan." She uttered with mischievous giggles.
Gripping Daphne's hips, Harry lifted her in the water. She reached down, guiding the tip of his cock to press against her. The magic was growing thicker now, wrapping around her, and she could feel its hunger. It wanted him to fuck her, and it gave her an instant of hesitation, but then Harry gripped her hips and thrust up into her body in a very gentle move.
A faint gasp came out of her mouth as he moved in, the soreness wasn't like the first time, she felt good as soon as he let in, feeling every inch of his cock rounded by her inner walls.
As he drove more into her, she felt something strange.
It wasn't like the night before, this time the magic was mutual between them, he was feeding her his own magic.
She looked up at him and she saw devotion in his eyes.
Harry's focus turned to Daphne's breasts and he started sucking them, and she couldn't help but let her hand play with his hair.
"God! I love your hair," she laughed moving her hips against his slowly gasping.
Daphne cried as Harry buried his face in her tits. She buried her hands more in his hair tugging him closer, so his mouth could close around her hardening nipples. Flushed with success at drawing the sound from her, Harry growled and sucked on her nipples harder.
groaning to the feeling, he still didn't get used to it, her walls were still tight around him, his eyes rolled back in his head.
Harry moved his hips experimentally, finding a rhythm that matched hers, and as she pressed her hands to his chest to give herself leverage, he decided that laying back and enjoying the ride had its perks.
She moved above him, so perfectly feminine, looking like a goddess came to earth to tempt him with desires of the flesh.
The sensations he was feeling overwhelmed him, and he lost track of time. Before he knew it, Daphne's forehead was brushed against his neck , "Ohhhh" under her breath.
Then she was clenching around him, tight and perfect and pushing him right over the edge to his own peak.
"Tell me ahh," she said breathlessly
And Harry glanced down at her sensitive features, she was like a porcelain doll. Her cheeks were in flames and her hair was flowing all over the water.
"Are you *ah* happy sharing your life with me?" she tried to ask him.
Harry didn't expect such a question suddenly,
"My sun is doubting me, I'm hurt," he let out a groan with a huge grin on his face.
Brushing his fingers on her warm cheeks as she leaned to his touch.
He memorized her expression of lust of pleasure. pulling her up to meet his lips for a long deep kiss.
"I would lie if I say I'm not, but I truly am."
Not a few seconds passed when they reached their climax together.
Soon they got themselves out of the bathtub, only in their towels laughing at themselves.
Daphne's nose wrinkled in the air smelling the aroma of fried eggs and bacon that was rapidly filling the air, new baked bread and bacon.
Following her nose immediately ready to hunt down the source of that delicious smell.
She found a big tray of breakfast on the bed.
Daphne squealed happily at the food, making Harry laugh as she jumped over the edge of the bed. Totally relaxed in the lotus position, she hadn't even bothered to change from the towel, she leaned forward to take a piece of hot buttered toast.
"Don't laugh, we didn't have dinner yesterday," Daphne said, taking a full toast into her mouth.
"Speak for yourself, I had a great dinner," Harry purred, crawling next to her. She was sitting cross legged with her hair in a mess,
Harry peered over at the tray which had pancakes, scrambled eggs, and perfectly cooked bacon. There was also a crystal jar of orange juice at the side of the tray and two cups of coffee.
It was no surprise to Daphne that it looked so enticing, she had experience with the elves's delightful cooking.
"O really?" she half laughed, swallowing the food.
Harry leaned closer, taking a bit of her toast.
"Make your own one," she tapped his nose, pushing him away.
"Come on, we are sharing everything, even my own clothes, can't we share food?" he blinked his eyes like a little puppy.
"We are sharing your clothes because I hadn't brought any," she pointed the fork at him before she began to wolf down the bacon and pancakes.
"Damn woman you are hungry!" Harry laughed, taking his place to eat
Daphne stopped for a moment to respond straightening herself. "I can't help it, is it bad?"
Harry burst into hysterical laughter.
Daphne let down the fork embarrassed of her silly action.
Harry swallowed his laugh and took a glance at her.
"Oh come on!" he touched her pink cheek as she moved away looking to the other side.
"Emm, remind me to thank Dobby, fuck this is so goood," Harry moaned at the delicious pancake with honey.
Daphne's stare on him as he ate, all himself no fake face and manner, just his real him made her smile reach her eyes.
"Breakfast in bed… never dreamed of it," Harry blurted quietly.
"Merry Christmas,Harry" she kissed his cheek, taking Harry unguarded.
"Merry Christmas Daphne," he replied giving her a piece of his pancake.
Daphne leaned to the bedside table and grasped the box that the fox brought earlier and put in front of her starting to eat it.
"Rice in the morning!?" Harry raised a brow.
"Not any rice besides it's from...Kou!"she rolled her eyes.
"Kou, Kou, Kou. Every time you talk about him your face lightens up!" Harry groaned.
"Are you jealous of him?" Daphne raised a brow, teasing playfully.
"No, he is an animal why would I get je-"
"I could understand that you get jealous of Draco but honestly Kou!?–First Kou is a demon not an animal, second he is nothing but a friend, he has been there since the day I came to this world, he knows everything about me, he is more like my nanny, third and last he is like hundreds or thousands years old!" she interrupted him.
He rolled his eyes and she had a mischievous idea.
"Well, he is quite handsome and hot for his own measure, when he turns to his human shape," she started imagining Kou, her index finger brushing her cheek.
"I mean he has those abs and that smi-," her words choked in her throat, when she looked from the corner of her eye at Harry.
Harry cheeks were burning hotter than a fire, he was glaring daggers at her. She knew she was in a big trouble, what kind of woman talked about another man in front of her husband just after having sex twice!
Feeling Harry getting close to her she tried to smile at him, scared a bit of his dangerous reaction, his eyes were dark and she knew it.
She was fucked.
Before Harry could grasp her by her arm, she took a big sip of his orange juice, and jumped off the bed running away giggling, Harry didn't take too much time chasing her, until he was able to hold her by her wrists, pulling her to him.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, and his around her waist.
"Seriously?" his forehead touched hers.
"I won't do it again," she answered back with her puppy eyes.
Between her giggles and his chuckles, the detecting charm around the room got activated, alarming the couple that someone was approaching.
All they knew they were covering themselves in anything they found.
Daphne grasped the first thing she found in his wardrobe and wore it as soon as impossible, his pyjamas while Harry wore his trousers and a shirt.
The person was a few inches from the room, and the two were panicking.
"Seriously cover your neck!" Daphne hissed in low tone even though they were silencing the room.
"How, it is your fault in the first place,"Harry panicked.
"Now it is my fault! You didn't say that earlier," she gritted her teeth.
She looked around the room for a scarf or anything.
"Wear something of a turtleneck," she yelled as she fixed the bed and gathered the fallen clothes that were everywhere.
Dobby was summoned and in a few seconds he did all the charms and spells, cleaning the room and airing it, while Daphne ran hiding in the bathroom wrapped in the Invisibility cloak.
Harry was checking everything was set when the door was knocked.
Harry opened the door to find Hermione at the door.
"Good morning Harry, Merry Christmas!" she said, kissing his cheek.
Daphne rolled her eyes holding her growl as she peeked from the bathroom door.
"Good morning Hermione, em Merry Christmas to you too," he answered awkwardly.
In a flash Sirius came behind Hermione, breathing hard.
"Morning pup! Kitten I told you he was still sleeping," Sirius looked down at Hermione then up at Harry with an apologizing face.
Harry raised both eyebrows meaning 'it's okay.'
"Oh, you already had your breakfast I see," Hermione said stepping inside the room, looking down at the tray.
Sirius was feeling awkward as he hesitated to enter the room but Harry encouraged him in, his eyes saying 'Don't worry it's safe.'
"Yeah, well I woke up very early and was hungry," Harry brushed his hair while Sirius kept his stare around the room.
Hermione felt some awkwardness, that she may have interrupted him doing something or it wasn't the perfect timing so she made it quick.
"The Weasleys are going to the cemetery to visit their father then back to the Burrow, as for me I'm heading to Diagon Alley with Remus to buy some stuff and will drop by my house later. In other words the house is all your's and Sirius's for the day. We will see you by dinner okay? Do you need me to bring you something? Sirius wants some mechanical tools and fuel, he wants to fix his old motorcycle," she said, rolling her eyes and smiling.
"Kitten! Do not insult my Baby!" he warned her.
Hermione gave him a deadly glare and Sirius didn't move his eyes from her.
"Oh no thanks I don't need anything, have fun!" Harry meddled before he witnessed their usual fights.
She headed to the door kissing his cheek.
"Oh and one last thing Dumbledore is down stairs and wants to see you. By the way I loved your present, thank you" she said.
"Sorry pup," Sirius smiled before closing the door behind him.
"Dumbledore is here and he wants to see me," Harry muttered.
"Do you think he knows something?" Daphne said anxiously, stepping out of the bathroom and dropping off the Invisibility cloak.
"No, Sirius warded the room to be undetectable back in July, when Remus was training me on Occlumency. If Voldemort himself was here,Dumbledore won't know."
Daphne approached him and started fixing his look and hair. "Be careful," she said bitterly.
"Why?I will," he assured her.
"I know… but, never mind," she shrugged.
"No, tell me," he insisted.
She looked him briefly in the eyes.
"I have a terrible feeling… just be careful," she pleaded, patting his shoulders. Harry kissed her on her forehead and smiled briefly before he left.
Daphne watched as Harry closed the door behind him, leaving her alone in the cold old dark room and her heart clenched for him.
She crawled under the covers after asking Dobby to vanish all the food away and replace the sheets.
Her body was still sore from all the treatment she got.
Burying her nose in his pillow, smelling him, as if all what had happened in the last 36 hours or more didn't satisfy her.
The last day had been crazy for her, she snuck behind Cyrus's back and met with the love of her life, she had sex for the very first time and it was beyond her exceptions. She had gambled with her luck and gave him her powers, knowing that she was useless magically herself but to him she could give something.
It was still problematic that she was lying to him, she didn't want him to feel disgusted at her.
She was in bloody Grimmauld Place under the nose of the Order of Phoenix and Harry's friends and family, she trusted Harry when he said she was safe.
Her eyes closed, remembering all the feelings she had when Harry made love to her, the way he worshipped her body, she may have misjudged the size of his manhood, the feeling of him entering her for the first time, and how all her walls clenched around him,she still feel taste of his skin on her lips. They had sex in the bathtub but it was easier then the night before, quicker.
She was still hungry for his touch and exhausted and sleep didn't take long to conquer her.
.
.
.
"Knock" " knock" The sound of the door raised her before going into deep sleep, she stood from the bed looking for the cloak in a hurry and covered herself with it hiding in a corner. She should have brought her wand with her instead of leaving it with Wink. That was the stupidest decision ever.
Harry wasn't there yet and someone was outside the door.
'Fuck! Where is Harry!?'
"Princess? Are you awake?" Sirius's voice came from behind the door,
The blonde didn't hesitate to open it for him.
"Good morning Sirius," she whispered as she let him in.
He of course entered with closed eyes.
"Are you decent?" he laughed.
She looked down at her look, "Of course, just wait a second!" she said fixing her hair, "You may look," she breathed.
"Good morning!" Sirius opened his eyes and smiled at her.
"You already greeted me," she laughed.
"Did I? Hahaha my mistake," he slapped his forehead.
There was a quiet moment between them and Daphne stared at him confused.
"Where is Harry?"
"Pup had to go to Gringotts this morning," he answered.
Daphne went still for a moment. "Gringotts!? What does he have to do there?"
"I don't know, the director of the bank, the goblin wanted to talk to him about some familial financial matter," Sirius shrugged and Daphne started pacing around worried.
'Oh, was it this fast? what should I do now! Wait Dumbledore! ?'
"Sirius is that why Dumbledore was here?"
"Yeah, anyway I didn't come to just tell you this, the house is all empty except for us and there is something I need to show you. Come." Sirius said standing up from his place gesturing to her to follow him to the exit.
Daphne followed him with hesitation so she took with her the Invisibility cloak just in case.
"Shall we?" he told her, leading the way towards the attic.
Daphne was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice Sirius had stopped right in front of her; she stumbled to avoid colliding with him, he moved aside showing a hidden object behind a dusty black velvet curtain.
"I thought you had every right to see it," he spoke softly as he removed the curtain to show a portrait.
Her eyes widened as she caught sight of the woman in the painting.
She took a step back with wide eyes. Her hands came up to her mouth as all of the blood drained from her face.
Sirius was confused; was it really so hard to see your mother with similar looks who existed once?
"Apparently it was my mother's doing, she was kinda obsessed," Sirius explained.
Daphne was still frozen, staring in confusion at the picture.
The woman in the picture looked just like her. The resemblance was eerie.
She felt her legs moving on their own, leaned closer to examine her further, and now as she was that close, she couldn't help but let her trembled fingers touch it.
"Mother…"she whispered in a shaky voice, feeling tears gather in her eyes.
The woman in the picture was Queen Diane, in her younger days, her twenties, because she was older than Daphne.
Diane was a kindhearted woman, graceful, and elegant with a wise personality.
She almost forgot how her mother used to look, knowing that she was a spitting image of her, the difference between them was that her mother looked so pure and more mature.
She was wearing a tiara of gold and ruby , with a strap off shoulder long sleeves red dress with golden embellishments.
The dress was familiar to her, it was in the box Eros had left for her.
She had been so focused on examining her features that Daphne had forgotten the existence of Sirius and Buckbeak the hippogriff.
Sirius didn't want to disturb her so he sat in a corner petting the winged creature.
"I remember how my mother worshipped your family, but she thought I betrayed the queen when I left the court weeks before taking the knight's vow and betrayed our honor," he sighed.
She was looking at Sirius questioningly, he stood up again walking towards her and told her about his and James's promise to Diane.
Daphne blinked a few times , finally finding her voice.
"Does Harry know?" she asked.
"I tried to tell him many times but I couldn't," Sirius shook his head
She glanced back at the portrait in shock, she thought the whole marriage was Eros's idea, her mother had a betrothed in her mind back when she was alive but it had been forgotten after she died.
"I believe your brother fulfilled his promise to her and so did I," he said his final words in a low tone but she heard it.
"She looks just like me," Daphne whispered to herself, unconsciously bringing her hand up to her throat in fear, remembering the awful days under Chronos's torment.
Sirius's eyes lowered, understanding her reaction.
Daphne looked between Sirius and the painting. "Was your mother really that obsessed?" she asked,
"She even tried to marry me off to my cousin to keep the blood pure just like you."
"Okay, I believe you," she told him; she hadn't survived through the whole royal drama without having some psychos in her life.
There was an awkward pause as she tried to think of something else to say.
"Umm... Thank you for showing it to me and telling me about the deal, " she tried, cringing a little.
"My lady, Harry is more than a godson to me, take care of him." It was more like a vow than a request.
She nodded at him "till the very end."
"Daphne, I know you care for Harry and he loves you, he may be new to this kind of feelings, he will try I know that, and I believe in you too, you are your moth–,"
She let out a sarcastic laugh Interrupting him "I'm not her!" she looked at him.
She was tired of everyone comparing her to her mother, tired of pretending.
Daphne gave him a pitying smile.
"Yes I love Harry!" she confessed, her head high proudly, "but I'm not Diane."
She sighed trying to get hold of herself before she spoke again, "My mother was…" She found her words getting stuck in her throat as she tried not to burst into tears and lose all control of her emotions.
'She didn't fight for those she loved, she didn't fight for us, she chose death…,' she said to herself.
"Daphne? Are you alright?" Sirius called her.
She looked up at him.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to–," Sirius tried to apologize.
"Oh No! Please do not apologize, I love Harry, I know I do, deep down I believe I am...I'm loyal to him Sirius. I was and I will," she smiled, "Till the very end."
Harry had lost so much in his life, his parents and childhood and there hadn't been a peaceful year in Hogwarts for him.
Even though Sirius and Harry finally were reunited, thanks to the public danger they couldn't be together.
Daphne didn't want Harry to go through the same path like her, secret meetings, running away for his life, she had made awful choices and she was paying for them.
Harry was the opposite of her and she was ready to do everything to keep it this way.
Sirius kept his stare on her, an unreadable expression was on his face, which caused her to feel heat rising up her neck and breathing was becoming hard for her.
"Listen, I know I don't deserve his love, who are we kidding here, but I'm so arrogant and selfish to let it slip away from me."
"I already know that," Sirius smirked, his finger tapped down his neck.
At first Daphne was confused then then the realization hit her, her cheeks flushed, her hand slammed on her neck.
"Don't worry, I won't judge, but I believe he did great," he tackled his blazer proudly.
Daphne burst laughing at him, finally knowing Harry's secret source.
"And I thought that Eva is the crazy one, you two really match perfectly!" she said between her laughs.
Sirius laughed with her.
When the laughter died Daphne glanced up at Harry's godfather and her eyes slowly traveled over the unbuttoned collar, a glimpse of his tattoos by the neck when a crazy idea popped up in her mind.
"Sirius can I ask you something?"
"Anything," Sirius turned to her and she smirked.
Berz Carmichael, a man in his early fifties , wrapped in his long dark blue coat with gold shoulder pads on it over a suit and tie, stared at the grounds covered in snow of the entire London city from the Big bang.
Berz was a solemn, serious man by nature. He was and still very loyal to the throne and especially to the king no matter who it was. He was also one of the calmer Knights and did not like to rush into things without having a plan or two.
He became the commander of the whole knights when he was only seventeen years old and the first person responsible for the personal protection of the king and his entourage, the last couple of years hadn't been easy for him. The king died of a sudden illness, leaving two princes to revolt against each other.
The high castle of the wizarding empire and world never witnessed blood shedding for years, not since the dark ages.
He had to stay grey and guard the throne for the winner, but he couldn't. Not entirely.
He followed the orders of Queen Diane to keep the Fruit of Eden safe.
Nevertheless Rhaenys, whose name had become Daphne, was his weakest spot, while her sisters wanted crowns and princes, she wanted an armor and sword.
Which made him want to protect her even more.
The girl, unlike her sisters, did not receive fatherly love.
And before she was satisfied with the tenderness of the mother it was taken from her while she was still a child.
Although Berz did not show his feelings except rarely, he was the closest to the role of the father more than anyone.
Raising her in pride and honor.
But there was a giant wall between his feelings and duty.
Now he had fulfilled his mission, the girl was married to a wealthy family.
"You wanted to see me, commander," A female voice came from behind him.
"Isn't it a charming weather, Eva!" he said, watching the people walking down the streets. They looked like tiny ants walking on a white carpet made of snow.
"It is commander," she smiled walking up to his side.
"How was their morning?" he asked calmly.
Eva beamed at the sandy haired man.
"How are the preparations?" he asked.
"Preparations are going well, Lord Harry Potter is on his way to Gringotts. The frozen accounts of the Potter family will be resurrected, the family business will be restored."
Berz looked up at the sky, but then closed his eyes feeling the wind against his face.
"What is it, commander?"Eva smiled, "we have finally completed our mission. Shouldn't we celebrate?"
Berz opened his eyes and glanced at her.
"The real task now begins Eva." He raised his brows even with the long sharp scar on his right eye. The seriousness came out of it.
"The whole history of magic changed last night." his stare turned back to the sky.
"You mean-," Eva eyes widened.
"He didn't just eat the fruit of Eden—," Berz, who never smiled in front of anyone, was smiling at Eva.
"What the world does not know, the pillars of the Wizarding World have been destroyed. The word «blood purity» no longer exists." his voice was calmer than usual, less firm.
"Oh God! "Eva gasped.
"They had just destroyed a wheel that had been spinning for thousands of years."
Berz moved away from the edge of the building to leave, "I almost forgot."
Eva stared at him confused.
"You are to come back to the palace, immediately." said the man before he appeared, leaving the pale faced woman behind.
Daphne and Sirius spent the next hour in the attic laughing at the stories of the Marauders.
Sirius had never been this happy in his entire life, the daughter of Diane was far different than her own kind, just like Eva had told him once.
She might have had a strict and firm character but she also had a soft side and he was glad that she had included him in her small circle.
Exactly what Harry needed by his side.
She even told him 'Harry sees you as a father that he never had and trust you to no end, and if this is Harry's opinion so is mine!'
Something he had never expected her to say.
"Master Sirius, traitor, Master Harry had just returned," Kreacher appeared in front of the two bowing without looking at Daphne, muttering 'royalty in the mistress's house, mistress will be happy'.
" NO WORD TO ANYONE KREACHER!" Sirius yelled at the elf making Daphne jump at the sudden noise.
"Of course Master," Kreacher smiled before disappearing.
"Harry is downstairs," she reminded him, trying to calm him down.
The anger that had filled Sirius over the old elf soon was replaced by a smile.
"Let's go down, I'm keen to see Harry's reaction after seeing what you have done."
Daphne smiled and followed him but she stopped and stared one last time at the portrait of Diane Vasilian.
"Could you give me a moment, please?" she asked politely.
Sirius respected her privacy and went downstairs.
She approached it one last time and gave a brief smile.
Drinking in her features, with her heart almost jumping off its place, praying to her mother to rest in peace.
Thanking her for what she had done even though she left her so young.
There was a lot going on her mind as Daphne quietly begged for forgiveness from her Queen mother, standing tall and regal inside the frame.
Forgive me, my Queen. Forgive me, mother. Thank you for this chance, that I shall never earn.
If I live this time, it would be an atonement…Thank you.
"But…" her ice eyes stared through the portrait, almost burning a hole within it.
"If they came after me, I won't bow this time..." her words came out of her in a cold tone, full of threat and danger.
Her hands brushed together in front of her stomach.
Her legs moved down, one leg ahead of the other with both legs bent; closing her eyes, feeling time stopped around.
Her knees bend , bowing her head.
In a curtsy .
It felt like hours of bowing,
Daphne Potter, yes, Daphne Potter, not Rhaenys, not a Greengrass—bowed for her late mother, for her family, for the wisdom of ages.
The very last bowing.
it felt like she was bowing for hours.
For a moment Daphne felt something caressing her hair and thought that she heard a woman's voice whispering in her ear 'You are forgiven'.
Trying to breathe after the sensation she just had, Daphne went back to her new life as the wife and lady of her Lord, to her husband.
She found him in his room sitting in the bed with his head between his hands.
Daphne gawked at him for a moment.
This face, this position, it reminded her of the other night when he was in his darkest moment she had ever seen him positioned in.
She ran in panic without skipping a beat and sat down at his legs, taking his face between her hands, calling his name desperately.
She thought that this was over, he was healed.
Harry stared sadly at her then a weak smile crossed his lips.
"I heard you visited Buckbeak," he said smiling.
Daphne sighed and smiled back at him.
"I did, he is charming but not as the thestrals are." she said playfully.
Harry let out a chuckle and caressed her cheek.
She sighed dropping her hands, "What's wrong?"
Harry stared at her for a brief moment but he seemed not to know how to hide his pain from her. When he didn't reply, she lifted her eyes again, trying to meet his stare again.
"Harry?"
Her voice is small, barely a whisper.
He took a deep breath, she was still kneeling between his thighs, looking up at him, while he was sitting on the bed, all seemed dark.
She knew the guarded expression on his face. It's one he wore often during their school days, whenever he did something he wasn't supposed to or something else was playing over his mind.
The way he was looking at her told her he was waiting to receive a lecture on his behavior.
When he received none, he stood up walking toward his wardrobe, grasping the same clothes she came wearing them and asked her to dress up.
"Why?"
"We are leaving," he glanced at her.
"Why?" she repeated firmly.
"I can't stay here, It is suffocating!" he snapped unconsciously then apologized.
Daphne didn't dare ask again and followed his orders.
"Can I keep the boxers?" she asked.
Harry stopped in his tracks for a moment studying her face. He shook his head to talk again.
"What happened to your underwear?"
"I came with none," she answered coolly.
Harry was stunned for a second at her statement and only nodded.
"Now what?"
"Now we leave." he raised his brows at her gesturing to a sock on the table.
Daphne realized that it was a Portkey.
"WHAT! Wait a second we can't Harry, I mean...you and I are not in a situation we can walk freely in it," she stopped him, her hands on his chest.
"Believe me Daphne, the last thing I want today is to stay inside Grimmauld Place."
Daphne racked her head for some solutions. "What about Sirius, Granger and the Weasleys? They need you here, this is the first time they spent Christmas without a father!"
"And the first time you spent without a brother!" he replied firmly.
Daphne was about to reply but Harry interrupted her, "They have each other they can deal with it."
Daphne stared wide-eyed, her chest heaving with her panting.
"What about Sirius?" She tried to remind him of his Godfather.
"He has Remus."
From the way he was talking, Daphne knew that he was determined to leave, she didn't ask about Dumbledore or what was his opinion of Harry; she held his face and smiled. The okay smile.
They counted to three before Daphne grasped the Portkey with haste.
When they landed Daphne lost her balance and Harry held her between his arms in a protective way.
"Open your eyes," he said softly.
Daphne opened her eyes to see him facing her.
The sudden noise around them; the mixture of talking and laughing brought her back to reality.
Harry was staring behind her, pulling away from her.
Daphne started to notice her surroundings, turning around.
She let a gasp for the view in front of her.
The long, huge famous iron building in the middle of the park.
The Eiffel Tower!?
" .in..PARIS!?"
o(〃^▽^〃)o
So what do you think of their morning after,
Harry and Daphne broke the purity tradition as it seems isn't it...
What did it happened with Harry to want to leave so suddenly...
We will see what the two are going to do together in Paris... ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
