Chapter 23

The couple were standing under shock in the chamber of secrets facing a grey haired man.

Harry's eyes were as wide as ever and scoffed at the man.

"So that's it!" Harry said, almost scuffed.

Daphne walked a few steps back, looking completely mind blanking.

Resting her back against a stony snake, slicing down, hugging her knees.

"Unfortunately it is," the man said.

Harry glared angrily at him," I will not allow this," he gritted his teeth.

"I will not stand aside,as they execute my wife,"

"Be realistic," Kou the kitsune demon said.

"I have had enough of you lies, all of you!" he growled, looking between Daphne and Kou.

There was a heavy pause between the two men,

But it ended with a hysterical female laugh.

They turned to see Daphne laughing hysterically at the two…

She took a loud sigh before looking at them,"well, we're fucked," she simply let out, flatly.

Harry wanted to kill her at that moment.

One week ago…..

When Harry returned back to his dorm, the sleep refused to pay him a visit.

Well,it wasn't the first time,as matter of fact it became pretty rare for him to have a real good and peaceful sleep since Cedric's death or maybe further.

He laid back on his bed with his arms under his head,as he started thinking all over again about what happened today.

The voice in the back of his head,it was the second time he heard it.

The first time was when he had sex with Daphne for the first time, and for a moment he thought back then, that it was some illusion because of his activities.

So he shrugged it off but that voice returned again.

This time much clearer,he guided him.

It didn't seem like a dangerous threat,it seemed more like his instinct but much more.

He turned on his side and wondered if that had something to do with her blood.

Daphne told him that it wasn't easy for a chosen maiden from her family to give herself easily.

She would not just her body but she would give some powers too.

Could it be that.

Ron's snoring hit his ears and he smiled,he was delighted that his friend could sleep.

After hearing his conversation with Hermione, it got stuck in his mind,Ron was right, what did he do to lose his father.

The Weasleys didn't deserve the tragic death of their dad.

Did Voldemort killed Arthur just so he gets him,in that case who would he get next Hermione's parents,Molly,Sirius too?

Hermione was right, Sirius's could be in grave danger if he left Grimmauld.

He may never have known his own dad but the death of his both parents was a fresh wound no matter how many years would pass, they were who gave him life, and he wasn't to lose Sirius.

He may have looked brave and proud that his parents died fighting Voldemort but still…

It wasn't fair and it will never be.

But he will avenge their death from their killer.

He would be the one who brings his end and that was his oath.

He would bring justice to Arthur and Cedric and everyone who died on Voldemort's hand.

Even if it cost him his life, not to mention that the bastard laid his hands on his wife too, even if it was just a talk between them, he wouldn't let it go easily.

She denied her knowledge of being with the dark wizard, she lied and he knew that.

Harry knew every move and reaction of Daphne when she lied, she could not look him in his eyes, her eyes became cold and distant.

After long months of lectures and combat lessons every few nights in the week.

But why was interested in her,why did he make an effort to meet her?

Voldemort crossed the line there and it was officially a war.

Fuck Dumbledore and his promises, things would go his ways now.

The next morning Harry saw professor McGonagall walking with the last people he expected to see in Hogwarts, the man who married him to Daphne months ago, he could feel his face paling.

He tried to walk past them but suddenly he saw Eva smirking down at him,

He averted his eyes down as he entered the great hall.

He could feel the red eyes of Eva following him down the hall.

Something in those eyes always made him feel uncomfortable.

Perhaps because they were simply reminders of Voldemort's eyes as well.

The thought made him shiver.

'ew, disgusting, now I have a bad morning…' he told himself.

He heard whispers around him but for the first time it wasn't about him,it was about Ron and his siblings.

The students had returned all from winter break and everyone knew of what happened to Arthur Weasley or what they had to know about the incident, despite the conversations over the holidays about it, Harry was still feeling guilty for avoiding the Weasleys.

Because of the pity stares the Weasleys had to endure from the students.

Of how they became fatherless.

"Morning Ron! Ready for a new semester?"He smirked at Ron and told him to ignore it.

"Do you have to remind me,we haven't started yet mate," Ron groaned back and sat down at the table with him.

The twin joined tormenting the boys about their upcoming first period with professor Snape.

Harry rolled his eyes, already feeling tired from the first period.

However his mind was firing already with ideas of the many reasons why in the hell were those two there.

He shifted his eyes for a mere second to the entrance, apparently professor McGonagall was speaking to them about something.

He turned to his meal, 'did they come for her?

Did they know she is sick? ' this kind of idea started manipulating his mind.

And frequently he still feels suspicious about what Daphne has done.

The burns on her hands, the voice in his head.

He looked down at his free palms and stared deeply into them.

Did those hands of his heal her,he was amazed.

"Who are those?" Hermione whispered to Harry.

He followed her gaze, knowing who she meant anyway.

The other boys followed her gaze at the doors of the great halls.

McGonagall was still standing with two strangers talking.

"They don't look like they are from the ministry…" Hermione whispered,Harry could hear her suspension from her voice.

'only if you know who they are' he thought.

Harry cleared his throat and looked at Hermione "Hermione after classes end,I will need your help in something," he said in a low voice before looking up at the gate direction.

Hermione looked puzzled at his request,he was serious and she could see his jaw tighten.

She only nodded.

Eva was smirking while she looked for a second up to meet with Harry's eyes.

And he felt a shiver in his spine and looked down at his breakfast.

He couldn't handle this feeling anymore,as if she knew that he left Daphne alone last night, he decided to know.

"Guys,I forgot to bring my potion homework,I will head back to the tower and meet you at the class," he stood up and left the table in an attempt to leave the hall.

He should go and see Daphne immediately.

Suddenly he felt a fast move behind him,he heard a loud scream.

He turned around and saw Ginny up from her seat looking down at her uniform which was stained with egg.

He was confused until he heard the Slytherins laugh at her.

He looked around the hall for the culprit but didn't know which way the attack came from.

"it was you wasn't it? Malfoy,do you think it's funny?" Ron snapped as he glared with red face at Draco Malfoy.

"Why would I bother to do it,even though now the idea looks tempting," Draco smirked.

Ron stood up to fight Draco who stood up as well.

"Ronald!" Hermione scolded.

Harry came in between, preventing Ron from doing something that would do him a detention with Umbridge, who was looking amused from the staff table and disgusted too.

Another scream came from the Slytherins, making the three look toward it.

Pansy Parkinson's face was splashed with juice.

"You!" Pansy yelled, pointing her finger at the twins.

She pulled up the plate with her wand and threw it at them.

The twins at first blinked but smirked at each other, stood up on their benches and shouted, "FOOD FIGHT!"

With those two words, the entire Great Hall erupted as people started chunking food at each other. Much of the food was directed at the Slytherins.

holding whatever was in their front and throwing it back.

In blue, the great hall became a mess.

He did not know what happened at all as he dodged every single pile of food flying toward his direction,in the chaos he remembered why he stood up in the first place.

So he ran out of the hall to be greeted with panicked McGonagall.

Who was apologizing to the strangers.

She turned to her side to meet with Harry.

Revealing her relief,at his appearance.

"Potter, thanks Godrik! Why don't you walk Mr Carmichael and Ms?" she turned to the black haired woman, who she didn't bother to ask who she was since she came with Berz.

"Vonavich," Eva replied politely.

"Right, forgive me Mr !Why don't you walk them toward the headmasters office, the password is Knitted puppy," she told him as she hurried inside the hall.

Leaving him with the two.

"So…" he said as he looked at them.

"Morning kiddo!" she greeted lightly.

He gave her a suspicious look trying not to look at the man

"It was you wasn't it?" he raised a brow.

"You caught me," she lifted her hands in the air surrounding.

Harry shook his head at the childish behaviour of the woman and waved his hand "Shall we,"

They turned on their heels back to their supposed direction.

Harry stole a glance at the tall man besides Eva and remembered all the talk he had with Daphne about him.

Not to mention the only time he met with him and it was an unpleasant encounter with him,he still remembers how Berz threatened him of Sirius's life if he didn't accept the marriage proposal.

He was a man that someone shouldn't mess with.

He swallowed his saliva and started to speak,

"Forgive me,Good morning head commander!" he said in a low voice.

Berz only glanced down at him and nodded.

Harry was frustrated for his silence response and the giggles of Eva.

"Don't mind him," she waved her hand in the air and moved closer to Harry's ear. "The real one wouldn't even reply too," she whispers and pulls away.

Harry looked up at her with confusion as she winked at him, pulling her finger to her lip for a sign of "hush"

He did not understand what she meant by her answer, and tried to collect the puzzle in his mind until he remembered.

"What about Eva?" Harry asked as he was working out,

"What about her?" Daphne looked up from her book.

"You said that she is in hiding just like Sirius, yet she runs around freely, how?" he asked.

Daphne paused thinking of an answer then turned to him.

"Eva masters the illusion magic, she could be in two or maybe three places at the same time, she could even make illusionary places or people, that's why," she answered as she returned her focus to her book.

"Why are you here?" he asked, snapping out of his memory. Not bothering to glance at her

"The commander wanted an official visit to the British school of witchcraft to seek the needs of the students and teachers," she replied simply.

Harry gave her a dead glare of not buying it and Eva chuckled.

"Well,my old man is scolding your girl right now, I guess," she sighed.

Harry looked up again, he felt some guilt, perhaps because he left her alone.

He tried to push his luck,"because of what she done yesterday,"

Eva nodded.

"She shouldn't burn the Greengrass manor," Eva sighed.

Harry stopped in his tracks and looked up at her, then around to make sure no one was around.

"S-she burned the manor?" he gasped.

Not hiding his shock.

Eva blinked twice" I thought you knew?" she raised a brow.

He rubbed the back of his head, "Not entirely,".

his wife burned a manor, his fuckin wife burned a fuckin manor!?

Eva looked up and linked the pushed him forward to keep walking.

"You knew she was about to do something?" she asked.

He nodded back.

'I see,' "well, she was always forward in her actions,I don't blame her, besides she wasn't the first in the move to do it,right" she said playfully as she looked down at him with a beaming smile.

Harry glanced at her before his face turned completely red.

"Wha–" Harry gasped, pointing at her with accusation.

"Don't look at me like that,I didn't want to pry either,I had important things to do," she ran away from his dangerous aura.

As they got closer to the office,Eva could feel the presence of Berz getting near.

"Did they finish already,Wow!" she looked at the direction.

When Eva spotted the man,his aura filled with anger and danger,

'it didn't work apparently, that girl,' Eva sighed

Harry turned too but saw no one,he felt Eva grasp her shoulder and her breath near his ear.

"She listens only to you,you are now the only one who can tame her. Keep her distracted for the next month, and don't let her leave the school grounds." she finished and moved away as his gaze fell one her,his when knitted with confusion.

He saw Eva lifting her hand in surrender "I haven't done anything to him, Commander!" she gasped.

He felt someone pass him toward the entrance,it was the real Berz.

'when did he show up!?' he yelled 'and where is the fake one?'

He looked up at him,he looked at him closely and he was amazed... truly he looked like a warrior just as Daphne scribed him.

The man finally looked at him with a very cold glare, even the glare of professor Snape seemed warm in comparison with this one.

But Harry kept wondering why the man kept staring at him,he felt the air around him getting hot,was it his imagination or what?

Berz raised a brow at him and Harry was screaming internals.

Why did he keep staring at him?

Eva burst into giggles behind the man and mouthed 'pass-wo-rd'

Harry's eyes widened 'the password!of course!' Harry walked with pink colour formed slightly on his cheeks toward the entrance and murmured the words that professor McGonagall gave it to him.

When the couple entered,Harry simply slapped his forehead of his stupidity and wished the earth to open and swallow him at that moment and avoid the embarrassment instead.

He turned on his heels back to the direction of the dungeon,to meet with his least favourite teacher, wondering if the hideous food war had stopped yet.

Berz couldn't hold the tired sigh from coming out, as he climbed the magical stony stairs that lead to the office of the headmaster of this school,it has been a very long time since he had a nice chat with the old man.

Thinking about the real reason for his visit,he felt guilty for not letting Dumbledore know that a Vasilian member is attending his school.

She could be quite stubborn when she wanted and he expected the resistance from her anyway.

She didn't need to let another thing slip away from her too,he knew that the grimoire wasn't in the shrine once the war over the throne started.

And he needed her to grief before taking it from her.

Knowing Eros. He would trust no one but his little sister on his secrets and God knows what else she hides within her soul.

He didn't mean to frighten her but he didn't expect Phobos to dig in the past either.

As he walked at high speed that students nor the ghosts could feel him passing by.

He was thinking, his scar on his right eye was old but it was still holding a fresh reminder.

Not many people know the original cause of his scar but no one dared to ask, rumours spread like fire.

Some said it was a dragon, some said it was a strong mage or a sea monster.

Some wondered if it was a demonic.

They were all wrong guesses, not all.

She was still feeling guilty over this little scar.

After all these years ,she hasn't healed from the shock of the event yet.

Daphne took a year to build her walls, after that night…

Mind healers and shamans tried everything with her.

Everyone said the same thing.

"Nature rejected us,"

No one was able to know what happened to her or a way to heal her.

They gave her what they thought it would help her but in the end no one would be able to save her.

Except herself.

She tried her best to be strong in his presence moments ago.

But she was still wounded.

Her pride and her honor was tainted that night.

He was in the palace when the incident happened…

When he got an urgent call from Eva for help,he ran as fast as he could and apparated at the scene.

A bit late,he was.

He couldn't stop what happened and still hurt his guts and his honour as a knight leader.

To let for such a thing to happen.

He couldn't stop it and caused him almost half his face in return.

And the consequences of that reckless behaviour of the king was the lives of innocent muggles down that old town next to the shrine and the sanity of his youngest daughter.

He snapped out of his memory as he stood in front of Dumbledore who was waiting for him eagerly.

"My old friend!" Dumbledore exclaimed, went to hug Berz and the latter responded back.

Berz turned to Eva and introduced, she nodded politely and stood behind her commander.

"Please make yourself home," the warlock said as returned behind his desk..

"You may leave us alone Eva," Berz said and Eva bowed her head and left

After making sure the woman left the office, Dumbledore waved his wand to bring up two glasses of drink.

Berz declined, saying he would like the tea.

Dumbledore laughed, "Since you want tea, my dear friend, the matter is serious."

Berz replied, "Do you know that Phobos met the Minister of Magic and directly threatened him?"

Dumbledore stopped drinking his tea and looked at his friend who continued his speech,

"Whatever you are doing, finish it quickly, as newly crowned king. Phobos does not want the System to be disturbed with his coronation, he is not his father and will not use others to achieve his goal,"

Dumbledore looked at his phoenix pet, the young boy of Chronos and Aurelia was believed to be a strong boy, by the latest summer he approved himself,Beating his older brother was the biggest proof.

"Right," he hummed "Don't worry, Fudge is scared and tries to use the press against me. Give me some time to achieve my goal,I have a strong soldier by my side," Dumbledore finished.

"I am confident in your ability, my friend, but do not underestimate the ability of your enemy, according to what I heard from the testimony of that boy who lived, Riddle used the magic of blood for his resurrection. What do you know that he will not use it again?" Berz pointed out his theory. Reminding Dumbledore of what Harry said after he returned from the graveyard.

"Nobody fools death Berz," Dumbledore fixed him with a hard stare.

After a heavy and pregnant pause,Berz shrugged as he sipped his tea.

"In general, my visit to you will cause some trouble prepared for that," Berz chuckled.

Dumbledore's eyes fell on the cup and sighed, the meaning behind Berz's words.

He was a previous councilor in the palace, but he didn't meet the new Queen mother yet, even during the meeting of the year that he attended as an honourable guest by the council.

He has only seen the king but the latter barely noticed him as he talked with his men.

However his ears reached the rumours of the castle,

Eight years ago, he was surprised by the sudden visit of Chronos.

Asking him for advice. The man was in a dilemma between his kids from Diane and their war with Aurelia.

"The king ordered to remove the sanctities," Dumbledore mentioned without looking.

And Berz nodded "it was really unexpected move,he want them near him, in the castle,"

Dumbledore leaned on his chair humming, thinking about it.

Almost everyone in the wizarding world knew about the holy sanctities, some knew them through legends and some well he wouldn't say some but...

The twenty eighth sacred family are one of those who believe in them.

The sanctities were known to be strong and valuable items of the wizarding family passed through the generation by the gods.

The generosity of the royals allowed them to share some of it with their kind but mostly.

The holy items resided by the side of the grave of Vasilian founder.

Under strong protection, no one was able to reach them.

For those who discovered the location, died even before reaching it…

That's what Dumbledore knew.

"Albus,we have a different kind of war here, yours will rise while mine is laying in the ashes at last," he paused and stared at the phoenix " in the dust of a raising phoenix…" he finished.

Berz was worried and Dumbledore could sense that,he wasn't not scared of the upcoming but he was worried of a third unspoken option, and the headmaster understood the meaning of his words, the war between the royals was not over yet and Voldemort wouldn't wait longer to start his own war,and the third option that he himself prayed for it to never happened, especially that Phobos had made sure to threat the minister about Voldemort and not him inst.

It meant that Phobos noticed Tom riddle and was curious about him.

What Berz said raised in Dumbledore's mind a new theory. A threat of some alliance or a war between the latters.

If in any case Voldemort turned his back on Harry and focused his attention on the castle,it would be chaos for sure.

That's why he decided to put Harry in the middle of the field and keep Voldemort distracted...

"Don't worry, since you are here anyway, what do you think of a little tour around the palace to revive some memories," Dumbledore put his cup down.

The commander smiled at him and accepted his invitation.

As soon as she left Berz, she looked to no one,her domanor filled with coldness as ever…

The youngest students run from her, avoiding her.

The eldest made way for and she cared for no went to the closest girls bathroom.

She couldn't take it. She failed. She failed and now Phobos was bringing back the darkest hour of her life alive again, It wouldn't be much longer before he started suspecting her and linking the clues and before she even blink everyone would be on his side. Eventually people would side with their king.

If her Father saw her now…she laughed pitifully at herself...he was definitely enjoying in his grave of this kind of torture that fall upon her.

Damn him. Why does she have to pay for what he did?

" ," she said coldly, without glancing at the girls there.

The girls wanted to laugh and shrugg her off.

But they forgot they were in the presence of the ice Queen.

"OUT!" she yelled the last part, hitting the stony wall with her fist.

She pointed then at them her wand, that she completely forgot about it.

The girls went pale and ran away.

She looked dangerously at them, she sensed some who were behind locked doors of the toilets and sneered "all of you,"

When she made sure no one was there and no one would walk in.

The dangerous, angry girl made her emotions slip away.

She felt free and allowed her emotions to show for this was the safest place at the mere moment.

The room felt in blue, very hot.

As if the walls of it were melting.

Her flesh reddened from the heat, and her breath quickened.

The tie on her shirt was like a choking robe, wrapped around her neck.

"This can't be happening," she kept repeating to herself,as she untied her green tie.

It was too late the darnable tears were already leaking out. She belatedly prayed that nobody saw them as she ran here or that they at least didn't notice them.

The ground under her seemed to disappear or her legs were losing their strength, she was falling.

She rushed to the sink and grabbed the sides of it in a deathgrip turning her knuckles a sickening shade of white. Deathly pale.

With her both hands and clenched for dear life.

Her legs kept failing her,as she climbed up once again, facing her own reflection on the mirror.

She glanced up at her reflection to see a stranger looking back at her, and couldn't stop the tears from falling.

She never wanted it back, her past was a closed box within the walls of her heart and she was running from it.

She didn't realize that her sobs were louds, drawing herself back to reality, she slapped herself.

'it's not the time for your own breakdown, get hold of yourself,'

She bowed her head and allowed more tears to fall and let loose a heartbroken sob, followed by another and then more.

The old sounds of panic and fear returned to her mind alive again.

"Stop it! I am not who did it, please.'' she begged, closing her ears. Falling against the sink on the floor.

But the sounds refused to leave, kept playing again and again in her mind, not her fault ...

She was also a victim.

There she was Daphne, on the edge of hysteria to the sobs .

She has no idea how long she remained like this but when she finally felt her sobs dying away and her breathing evening out she moved, the voices fading away. She moved up and splashed and cleaned her face with water to try and help compose herself and bring back her usual mask.

She went through her bag that Dobby nicely brought it with her uniform as well.

Between her hiccups and sobs she kept searching…

Perfume or anything to fresh her up

As she was getting ready and began to gather her shit together to cast a glamour charm on her appearance.

She heard a familiar husky voice laughing at her.

She glanced at it, her reflection on the mirror was laughing."Hahahaha, well this is a scene,"

Daphne's breath catches in her throat as she heard the words,'not real, ignore her,' she shook her head.

"Seeing you like this,it reminds me of a certain little girl frightened of her own shadow," the reflection teased.

The blonde witch refused to listen to her own reflection's comments..

"Don't be meanie, I know you missed me," the mirror pouted.

And Daphne scoffed at that silly remark.

The other one smirked at it "or why would you stop taking those things, what do you call it again?"

"Venus's tears," Daphne replied.

There was a short silence before the mirror laughed again "see! it wasn't hard for you to acknowledge my existence,"

Daphne then looked sharply and dangerously at the mirror who continued her assaults "you're scared," she giggled

"I'm not,"

"Not from Phobos," the mirror argued, catching the attention of the young witch.

Daphne raised a brow at her, allowing her to finish.

"I mean dearest Harry," she moaned, his name on her lips, making Daphne's anger rise within her like hot fire of a volcano.

The mirror or should she call her,her little demon had touched her hot spot.

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY HIS NAME!" Daphne roared.

Causing the reflection to flinch and burst out laughing.

Daphne's face was as red a red rose or maybe deeper.

"He is right, you can't run forever," the mirror concluded as she turned completely serious. She referred to Berz and that made Daphne's stomach turn into knots.

She did not hear that, especially from the bitch in front of her,So she decided to leave.

"Keep running you cow—" the mirror hadn't finished when Daphne broke her to pieces.

She glanced over her shoulder and smirked "sometimes even you underestimateme,"

As soon as she walked out of the bathroom she remembered that she had professor Snape at the first lesson, and let out a loud groan as she ran to class,he hated late students and she wouldn't be one of them.

When she reached the class, she was delighted that they haven't started yet and searched in the crew about her best friend.

Tracey waved her hand in the front table and Daphne ran to join her.

"Finally, where have you been?" Tracey groaned.

"Sorry,I had to go to bathroom first,"

"I don't mean this morning. You just disappeared last night!" Tracey paused as she leaned closer "you haven't returned yesterday,I know you're eager to meet that lover of yours but be careful," Tracey whispered.

Daphne glanced from the corner of her eye at the girl "why? did something happen after I left?" she asked.

Tracey rolled her eyes "no,but... nevermind" she waved her hand to leave the matter to discuss another time.

And Daphne chose not to argue as she saw professor Snape join the class angrily.

She searched with her aura about Harry within the walls of the potions class, and felt him in the back and smiled warmly but sadly.

Harry sensed warm air touching his skin as he sat in the back of the class with Ron.

He looked up and stared around but it seemed that this sudden feeling touched him alone.

Harry closed his eyes to search it again,it reminded him of last night, he then smiled.

His instinct and magic let him conclude that it was his witch's way to say good morning.

The smile disappeared from his face, realising the guilt he has for leaving her alone…

He was angry at her,who could blame him, Voldemort dared to approach her,she was a red line…

He didn't know what possessed him when he yelled at her.

She was beautiful that night at the ball with that emerald green gown,he envied Voldemort at that moment, because he was able to feel her touch, and see that beauty in front of him.

He was jealous because he wanted to have that beauty and that smile of hers to himself only.

And he was angry because that man dared to propose to her,

He spent the rest of the night taking all kinds of theories into his mind and it all ended up that it was truly Voldemort who was approaching.

He was angry at himself,at her and at that snake bastard.

He wanted to know why he was interested in her,if by any chance knew the true background of his wife that means that he would try again.

But then how could he be angry at her when she had no hand in what happened, she had nothing to do and she told him that with complete honesty.

Even if he sensed that she hadn't told him the entire truth,he didn't want to hurt her any longer, especially after she fell ill,he was shocked.

He never saw the true effect of her disease before,he felt his heart squeeze from the painful look on her face.

And after what Eva told him this morning 'she burned the Greengrass manor,'

She was suffering in secret for so long and no one knew but the closer ones, everyone judged her as the ice Queen.

Pity they don't know the real her.

Then,he remembered that tattoo, his chest warmed at the memory, how dense he was.

She was silly to hide it from him,but it was meant for him.

A Leo zodiac tattoo, that only made him bite his lip,to prevent him from chuckling.

That tattoo swayed all his anger toward her in flash.

But he wouldn't let her know that,he would play a bit longer that he was still mad at her.

But wouldn't he be cruel, she already got scolded by Berz this morning.

"It looks like your vice is having a good time."

Berz turned to see his stupid lieutenant bothering one of the professors.

Dumbledore chuckled at the behaviour of the lady to professor flitwick.

Berz rolled his eyes and moved pass them,

"I can help you," Berz offered, breaking the silence

Dumbledore didn't look at him and stared at his students.

"No, no, this problem was caused by me, and I will solve it, my friend." Dumbledore said in anguish.

As they walked side by side discussing the well of school..

Wondering the halls and hearing the laughs of the kids and the scoldings of the teachers.

Berz felt warmth growing within his chest.

Dumbledore started chuckling, making Berz confused "I can't believe it's been a whole century since we graduated from this school," Dumbledore glanced at Berz.

The latter closed his eyes and a warm smile drew on his lips…

Remembering his days with Albus and Aberfoth.

"Really, it was the best day. We each had a dream that we wanted to fulfill." Berz remembered, his mind drifting to the youngest days of his life.

"true, I remember the day I promised you that if I became a stakeholder, I would not be complacent in helping you either." Berz finished.

"Hahaha, we wanted to change the world and we each had our own philosophy, we got old," Dumbledore gave his friend a wink, causing the commander to roll his eyes.

"speak of yourself pal," Berz scoffed.

"Don't remind me while I'm shrieking, you still look in your late forties,"Dumbledore shook his head pitifully as they walked.

The commander stole a glance into his friend look, Dumbledore looked as if he had one turn in this life, while he was still young.

That was his promotion as the commander of the Knights, Daphne's grandmother gave it to him years ago, when her husband fell ill and Diane was still enfant…

It was one of the family weapons that the commander of the Knights only can hold…

She told him that it will steal time from him and if he masters it then the title of a commander shall be his.

Who doesn't want an everlasting youth but for him,it was the reminder of his own mortality.

"I would like to pay a visit to DADA," he said suddenly without averting his eyes from the direction.

Dumbledore shoot him a look then shrugged" I warn you it's not the same as it was,"

Berz raised a brow.

Dumbledore brushed his long beard humming, teasing his friend's patience. "This professor is one of Fudge's," he said as he was standing in front of the door before he knocked.

Before Umbridge could answer Berz shoved the door wide open and entered causing his friend to chuckle.

The first period went in a blur for Daphne she barely focused on the lessons and by lunch she barely touched her food.

She laughed with her friends as they told her about the mess that happened in the breakfast that caused them to delay the first class.

It sealed down her worries but once she stopped talking to them, the bad thoughts returned.

She glanced from a while to awhile at Harry but he barely looked at her,it caused her worries to increase even more.

'was he angry at me?' 'Did he know about their visit? Don't be silly of course he would,' she started thinking.

If she gave up on the grimoire she would break her oath to her brother to guard it,No,not just that but the problem was that it was with the real owner, her.

And if she kept it, Phobos would discover it was her and he would start linking chains and find the truth about everything else .

Not just that she would be officially guilty in that case and Harry…

Oh god what would Harry think of her then, would he hand her himself to her brother.

She didn't want to imagine their story to end like that.

They had just started developing their relationship and she had found out that she had developed strong affection toward him,the affection of love…

She knew love, she experienced it with her mother and her siblings and even the Knights…

She felt the same affection toward the emerald eye's boy.

She felt safe and happy with him.

She knew it was love and there was no denying because...She became devoted the day he surprised at the cave in their visit to Hogsmead by bringing Eva just so she could cheer her up.

He listened to her and he was honest.

It was love, and she couldn't let go yet of this love, she doesn't want to die.

'I don't want to die!' she slammed the table, causing Tracey to jump from her seat.

His smile and laugh was making her day brighter, she felt special because she was seeing a side in Harry no one knew of.

'God,help me!' she looked up desperately and sighed.

Perhaps some book from the library would calm her down a bit.

On the other hand Harry was of course concerned about her. She was even whiter than normal; which was very worrying. She never had much colour to begin with.

Harry was walking toward the library with Hermione and Ron since he had free periods.

"Are you ready for your special night with Snape?"Ron teased him.

"Ew, Don't say it that way,I will vomit and you won't like it!" Harry rubbed his arms, disgusted.

Harry and Ron shared a laughter while Hermione narrowed her eyes.

'the only reason I'm going to do this,is just to get along with Dumbledore's request,' he answered in his mind.

"I don't trust him Harry. I still wonder why Dumbledore does," Ron commented.

"If the headmaster trusts him,we should too,"Hermione said.

Harry looked at Hermione, sometimes her blinded devotion and believes in the headmaster amaze him.

"Whatever," Ron waved his hand,"I wonder what would we have for dinner?" he asked mostly to himself.

"Food,Food,Food, all you care about is your stomach," Hermione snapped "I feel pity for your health,"she shook, pitying.

"Why do you concern yourself,my stomach and I are a unique love story!" Ron exclaimed.

Harry chuckled when someone tugged his sleeve.

He turned to find Cho Chang "Hi, Harry," said the ravenclaw girl.

"Oh," said Harry as his stomach leapt uncomfortably.

"Hi." he tried to smile, awkwardly.

"We'll be in the library, Harry," said Hermione firmly, and she seized Ron above the elbow and dragged him off down the hall, leaving the two alone.

Harry completely forgot about the girl, the last encounter wasn't a pleasant one and ended with a horrific disaster fight between him and Daphne.

"Had a good Christmas?" asked Cho.

'is she serious!?'

"well, not bad," said Harry.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have to ask such thing,I mean...I know the Weasleys were having bad times and–"

Harry cut her off "No, it's fine you were trying to be nice,"

She looked up at him and for some reason, she was look-ing rather embarrassed. "Erm…I got you these,y-you forgot it...that night with me," she took out of her bag a wrapped cloth, and handed it to him.

Harry's blinked once at the object,he forgot about that robe of his.

He smiled as he took it from her, thanking her for giving it back.

Harry flicked his emerald eyes from his cloak to Cho's face.

He knew she wanted to say something so he preferred to wait for it,even though he wanted to leave her,but it wasn't nice.

'just get along with it and say it anyway,'

Harry didn't know that there was a shadow in the corner, listening to their conversation.

Daphne was resting her back against the cold stone, crossed hands, closed eyes, listening quietly to them.

She didn't mean to hide but she was heading to the library, when she approached and found the two familiar figures together, she couldn't help but hide in the corner.

Cho finally continued talking"there's another Hogsmeade trip next month, did you see the notice?"

"What? Oh no, I haven't checked the notice board since we had just got back"

"Yes, it's on Valentine's Day…"

Now Harry really felt awkward where this conversation was leading.

"Right," said Harry, wondering how he should run in the meantime.

"Well, I suppose you would want to–?""Only if you do," she said eagerly.

Harry just stared.

Daphne's eyes barely opened, still listening to their conversation with a clenched heart.

She has hope and faith in Harry and she wouldn't stop him from anything he would want, but at the mere time, she would wait patiently for his answer for that girl's request.

They were not together in public,so it would not be a problem for him to accept Cho Chang.

It would be a smart move from him to date the girl.

Yet,she doesn't want that to happen but it was up to him in the end, besides his puppy crush toward the ravenclaw witch was a famous story on everyone's tongues within Hogwarts.

So here she was waiting with a dried throat and painful feeling in her chest, his reply.

"I…" Harry sighed in frustration

Daphne waited with bated breath for them to continue talking.

"Oh, it's okay if you don't," she said, looking mortified. "Don't worry. I-I'll see you around." She was about to walk away but Harry grasped her wrist and stopped her.

Daphne let out a silent gasp at the sudden action and clenched her shirt above her heart tightly.

'wait... don't misjudge like the last time' she scolded herself.

'You are afraid'

Daphne's hands fell down, her head bowing in defeat, was that bitch right?

"Cho. You are a great and very kind person. I would love to go with you…" Harry paused, brushing the back of his head, nervous of the situation and sighed.

His wife's face popped in his mind and he smiled.

Daphne bit her lower lip and she could feel her heart pounding faster than usual 'Don't do it,'

She wouldn't be able to share him with someone else, she wasn't her mother, she won't let him.

"I would have said that months ago," Harry said, snapping Daphne from her thoughts.

Cho was searching in his eyes, with frown.

The fourteen years old Harry would kill him for this, too many things happened to him from last year before the tournament to this day, so he continued "but I can't do this to you," he said, smiling softly at her.

He then patted her shoulders and leaned closer,in a way to comfort her.

Cho swallowed her saliva, nervously from what she was hearing,

"Cho,you are a nice girl, and you will find someone who will care for you deeply but I'm not that person,"... if Daphne would hear him right now,she would tear him apart, that girl could be scary and sadistic when she turned angry.

"Harry!...I– It's okay, I shouldn't push things, I– so just thought after that night when we," Cho tried to pull away before she could break in front of him,

"I'm not saying that by pity, but by honesty as a dear friend of yours," he stopped her,"I already have someone... important in my life, and I wouldn't hurt her by any chance," he never thought that he would blurt that.

Cho's eyes widened widely at his reply, shocked and stunned.

Harry didn't just reject her but he already had someone else, who!?

"I'm sorry," he apologized softly as he finally let go of her shoulders and patted her head gently.

Cho couldn't handle any longer this humiliation, she just got rejected by Harry.

She smiled sadly at him and nodded "I hope she makes you happy," she laughed.

Harry massaged his neck, feeling heat in his cheeks and ears and smiled warmly at Cho,proud that she took the rejection as a mature person.

"She does," he said almost in a whisper.

"See ya at the DA then," Cho waved her hand at him and left.

Smiling sadly at her defeat, she was late to win the boy, wondering who may the mysterious girl he was seeing could be, she wouldn't be Granger for sur, as she walked through the corridors her hands behind her back, humming, feeling tears rising in her eyes, she looked through the window to the sky 'How are you doing up there Cedric?' she thought.

Daphne let out a soft gasp, her cheeks turned crimson as the words reached her ears.

She made him happy! Harry said that about her… the fears and worries she was feeling, all replaced with overwhelming sentiment.

As soon as the girl left, she jumped from her hiding.

Either was now or never,

When a hand yanked Harry from his elbow to a shady corner.

Harry was at defence but then with the pleasant scent that hit his nose,he knew who was the person.

Daphne…

She pushed him to the wall, yanked him from the collar and Harry saw that angry look in her eyes.

'Wow it seems that she recovered much better than he expected, well done Harry, you Had healed your wife with complete success.'

He praised himself but the fierceness of his blonde witch before him, turned his mood down.

He knew he was in trouble and she must have heard him 'oh,shit!'

"I didn't say your name," he smiled at her.

And Daphne said nothing but pushed him even harder to the wall, and before he reacted.

A pair of soft lips crashed against his and Harry let out a shocked groan, feeling Daphne's hand tug at his cravat sharply while the other gripped at his lapels. He stood, frozen as she caressed those lips tighter on his mouth and before he could fully register his hands were grasping at her waist and hair before pressing her against his body.

He missed the sweet flavor.

Kissing someone was like whispering the deepest and darkest secrets, and that's what Harry felt when he kissed Daphne.

It was a feverish delinquent kiss,he chuckled against them, wondering why she was always the first to jump on him while he should, such gryffindor he was.

For a few moments, Harry kissed her and relished in how she kissed him. Lips and tongues tasting and prodding delightfully.

When the two lips broke apart, Harry was back to his senses. While Daphne whispered against them, her breath touched his lips like a spring breeze.

"I'm sorry,I'm so sorry," she kept apologizing over and over to him,her hands clenching his shirt tightly, afraid of letting go.

Harry rested his back against the wall, his eyes staring at the ceiling.

It seemed that her encounter with that scary commander was harder than he anticipated.

It was noon, not all people would be around here, even if they were, this corner seemed to be an unnoticed spot, since none of those who passed seemed to notice them.

"I raised a barrier,no one would notice us," she said,as usual, able to read his mind.

'ah,no wonder!' he blinked.

Daphne meanwhile couldn't stop herself from holding into him,his scent raised her safety and security, his peppermint mixed with broom wood.

Perhaps because it let her feel herself within the woods and forest.

Harry drew small circles in her back,to sooth her.

"How much have you heard?" he heard himself asking, his cheeks were probably red, perhaps he didn't want her to be there or listen to him confessing what he felt towards her,in such description.

But fuck that,it already happened,as if they were not usually flirtatious with each other.

"Long enough, I'm so sorry, about everything,I should have told you about Voldemort,I should have rejected immediately, but I couldn't...I was scared of them…" 'if I didn't play along, perhaps they would try-' she stopped herself from imagining.

"So you knew,it was him?" he said, not in surprise.

She shook her head "I had suspected but it was too late,"

Harry was silenced for a moment hearing the laughs of the others walking by.

"He knows who you are…" it was not a question,

She nodded,he in return let out a harsh breath , causing her to bury her face deeper in his chest, unable to face him.

He didn't want to assure his thoughts, things have changed now.

He felt her hands shaking.

So he pulled away and touched her both cheeks with his hands, pulling up her face to his.

Her cheeks were as red as roses and her eyes too.

He was frightened for a second,he hated to see that face of her,it doesn't suit her.

So he smiled softly to her, causing her to gasp.

"Daphne, how are you?" he asked her worried…

After all she was quiet during their shared classes and he couldn't get near her, with Tracey Davis and Theo Nott all the time by her side, and he was truly worried.

Her eyes darted away.

He sighed sadly, knowing that she wanted to speak but something held her back.

"Daphne,if Berz scolded you about burning the Greengrass manor I already know that and I'm okay with it, I'm not mad at you,I'm okay with everything," he said flatly.

And he didn't lie,he was okay with it,she was frightened and wanted to escape, she was young to be too brave, if because of Voldemort or because of Cyrus...it doesn't matter, what mattered to him was that she was smart to run away from the upcoming inferno.

Daphne's eyes widened and stared at with parted lips.

He understood her shock, she probably didn't want him to know of her little devilish adventure.

'I mean who does that!' he said in his mind,he was still shocked and impressed that this tiny girl burned a manor,it was just...Wow for him.

And he wondered, could he burn the Darsley's house too?it looked like a wonderful idea.

He turned around to see students pass them. And knowing about the meeting ,he figured out that she was truly in a state that didn't let her think right.

"Come here," he pulled out of his bag the invisibility cloak and threw it on her asking her to follow him.

When she did as he said without a word he started getting worried…

She was acting differently, that she was at the beginning of their relationship and he hated that in her,he loved the confident one.

It wasn't the manor accident that would put her in such a state, what that fucker did to her?

It would not be such a simple scolding that would put her in such a state.

They reached the moaning Myrtle bathroom and after making sure no one was there,he casted notice me not charm and muffliato as well , before lifting the clock from her.

"I'm all ears to you ,love," he encouraged her.

Daphne gulped and started thinking 'should I ask him, should I not ?will I worry him with my troubles, definitely,"

She took a deep breath before she finally found the voice to talk.

"Commanderorderedmetohandoverthegrimoire, bymybrother'sorders!" she said in a quick breath that Harry couldn't catch up a word of it.

"Huh!?" he blinked, confused.

Daphne bit her lip and her cheeks were red as she stared fiercely at him.

"Daphne, repeat slowly this time," he stricted her.

She tried to do it again without being blurry with her words…

"I said, Commander ordered me to hand over the grimoire by the orders of my brother," she repeated slowly for him to catch on.

Harry blinked a few times, wasn't the commander here to scold her? he guessed.

Then he remembered the one time he saw the first grimoire and how Daphne was very obsessive and protective over it…

And how it burned his fingers by a soft touch.

Phobos, his brother in law, wanted that thing, and his eyes widened in frustration.

"What should I do?I'm completely lost," Daphne whined,as she looked into his eyes with a pleading look.

And that snapped him out of his thoughts, and stared awed at her.

Was the famous cold wife of his asking for his own opinion for this matter!?

This was the first he saw the blonde confused and in the dilemma and worried that much.

She had always a plan or backup one,she always was armed with the worst conclusion.

Daphne rubbed her hair messily and he swore that there were tears in her eyes.

If he was in her place what should he do? he asked himself.

He remembered the will of Eros, he remembered each word in the letter,Eros' instructions were clear to follow whatever Queen Diane, her mother left for her to continue.

The grimoire was part of it…

And he knew how much Daphne was attached to her brother.

"Does Phobos know you have it?" he asked.

"NO!" she yelled.

"Then why would he order Berz to bring it,unless he knows that you have it or that Berz knows where it is," Harry muttered.

Daphne stared fiercely at him,"Yes and No, technically the grimoire is supposed to be in the family shrine in Mesopotamia,Harry," Daphne said as she passed back and forth.

That caught his attention "what do you mean by that?"

"It's complicated," Daphne shrugged as she crossed her hands, causing her breast to push forward.

Harry didn't unnoticed it as he glanced at them but he moved his focus to her face and let a soft sigh fall from his lips.

"Did Eros steal it?" he asked as he leaned against the sink.

Daphne looked sharply at him as if he just offended her,he swore she could kill him by that look.

"He did what he had to do,he protected our heritage," the witch grumbled, looking up at him and then looking away. Her gaze flicking back and forth like a hummingbird.

Harry narrowed his eyes at her outburst finally replying back "Daphne,I need a fuckin clear and honest explanation,I have the right I guess,"

"Aughhhh," she groaned out loud "you know what! forgot that I even asked you," she said ready to leave the bathroom.

"Daphne!" he called her.

She stopped and glanced over her shoulder at him,

Harry groaned, turning to face the bathroom window to glare at the sky. While he was definitely aggravated he couldn't blame her reaction.

Sometimes she could be the most complicated person, few minutes ago she was kissing him to death and now she was snapping at him,was she on her period or something, why do all the girls have this quick mood switch.

'She listens only to you,you are now the only one who can tame her. Keep her distracted for the next month, and don't let her leave the school grounds.' Eva told him previously.

So what wa the reason behind Eva's words...

"Look,I don't know what's going right now,but listen…" he paused as he walked toward her and grasped her both shoulders gently and stared down at her.

In the daylight,he swears she looks so tiny and cute to cuddle especially with a fierce attitude.

"It's up to you in the end,and I Will support you whatever you decide, wifey!" he teased her in a mimic tone and kissed her cheek before getting out of the bathroom and letting her alone there.

"Where are you going?" she called after him.

He popped his head from the door " Library,my friends are waiting for me,by the way I have an extra lesson with Snape tonight, you have to deal with that commander on your own,by!" he simply said and disappeared.

Just like that…

Daphne from the whole statement she was paralyzed in her place.

Was he serious?

Touching her cheek...she felt the same headache from the whole day come back to her and she groaned…

Did he just abandon her, after her kiss and everything she said.

'What the hell Harry!' she fumed.

The boy however,as soon as he left the bathroom, his smile disappeared and got replaced by a serious expression.

His eyes focusing on his direction.

'How dare they!' he screamed in his mind, after what she just told him,he understood the meanings behind Eva's advice or he should say, Eva's orders.

Did they expect him to control her life,no, she wasn't a property or animal to be controlled, she was

His friend and his wife, his secret keepers, his equal.

So Harry ran as fast as he could through the halls searching for those two.

His friends could understand why he didn't join them,he would worry about that late, but now he needed to find those stupid knights.

When he finally reached his target, his eyes reddened from anger,he stopped at their reach, catching his breath.

Albus Dumbledore was the first to turn around and see him "Harry!?"

"P–professor,I," he stuttered,as his headmaster looked at him, quizzed.

The cold glares that he was receiving from the other man, made him silent.

Eva panicked and came between,"ah, commander, it's the same boy who showed us kindly the office!" she clapped her hand, delighted.

Harry looked oddly at her as she kept smiling.

He fixed his pose and nodded.

"Headmaster,is he the same boy?" she asked.

Albus gave her a long pause before he walked toward Harry and put his hand around Harry's shoulder.

"Forgive me,friend...I must introduce you, this is Harry James Potter,"

Berz scanned him,up and down.

'What a great actors,' Harry rolled his eyes at him.

"My goodness, the boy who lived!" Eva jumped at Harry, grasping his hands with her's.

Harry's reflex was frustration, especially when she squeezed his hands tightly, her smile even wider.

He simply paled as she moved, taking him with her.

"I would like to have him for a while if you don't mind, headmaster" she said smoothly.

Before he could reply she had already left.

"Your vice...is quite something," Albus chuckled, awkwardly.

"Let her, she loves feeding her curiosity," Berz turned around and the two kept walking.

Eva's face didn't drop that smile when they left, nor her hands.

Harry felt irritated and shook his hand from her.

Students were staring oddly at them,Eva sighed, massaging her temple.

"How dare you?" he hissed at her,in a low voice.

She raised a brow.

Harry picked up her change in demeanour. And took a deep breath before he continued, not caring about the stares of the students.

"You tried to use me," he breathed out.

Eva blinked once and walked past him, she glanced over her shoulder at him and nodded for him to follow her and he obeyed.

"We said nothing, you're assuming things on your own,Potter,"

"Oh, really! Vanovich," he spitted, now they were back to last names.

She giggled and patted his back strongly.

Making him lose his balance.

"We are preventing the worst from happening,it's for your own good," she said looking at the ceiling.

"By forcing," he groaned.

"Oh,young ones and their hormones," she shook her head.

Then jumped at him, wrapping her hand around his,"Oi" Harry yelled at her, when her breasts were right in his face.

He heard gasps and murmurs of people around and tried to push her away, but she only kept clenching at him, laughing.

"I saw a lake when we arrived, can you take me to it?" she asked, her eyes glowing with excitement.

"Go by yourself," he groaned.

"Meany," she grumbled.

"I have a class!" he snapped.

"No,you don't! You are dismissed thanks to me!" she pointed at herself with pride.

She was getting on his last nerve.

"Fine, just don't touch me!" he yelled.

While the two kept arguing, more like Harry was arguing all the time with Eva while she just kept playing around, asking about this and that, like it was her first time seeing the magical world.

The time that commander gave Daphne was about to end and she still hasn't made her mind yet.

She thought if she seeked her husband for advice,he would help her but he made things even more complicated.

'Did Eros steal it?'

Of course he did, back then no one knew if the two princes would survive the war and Eros needed to make sure that their strongest weapon should be hidden in case things turned out of control, and he was right things are out of control now.

'it belongs to the king,' that was Berz firmed words to her.

She knew the rules,of course it belongs to the king.

The original founder of the grimoire, wrote it to keep it down to the descendants.

At first it belonged to the heiress and then because of how much it was a heavy burden she decided to write a deal with her king husband to be the guardian and it gone over the years that the king was the only one who hold it and with time people and the council forgot that it belonged to the heiress in the first place…

Berz knew about the original story as a head knight..

'Then why would he order Berz to bring it,unless he knows that you have it or that Berz knows where it is,' Harry's words stricted her.

Berz volunteered 'it can't be,' she scuffed as she left the bathroom.

Tick tock...tick tock…

Time was moving fast and Daphne hadn't made up her mind.

She was sitting in the common room with her chin lie in her palm over the sofa, staring at the fire.

'Focus,Focus Daphne!' she slapped her mind.

She was pouting the whole day and her friends were the one who noticed but decided not to push the button.

She never disobeyed her commander not even once in her life…

She could care less for the rest but Berz was special, just like how Hogwarts obeyed and respected Dumbledore.

But it was far, back home...Berz was the goddamn father of the knights.

Even the family fears him and respect him.

If the castle was their home then Berz was their father.

Perhaps the two men were the same but from each opinion,Berz was a very strict man when it came to the rules au contraire of Dumbledore.

He was a man of law and logic.

That's how things worked .

She definitely didn't want to be a burden on him, which was the thing that saddened her the most.

His words earlier, they had never had a heated disagreement before.

Berz trained her hard,if anyone thinks of her as a soft weak little girl, then they judged the wrong book cover.

Even after she left the castle, she never stopped training.

She'd train until her body lay battered and and her hair drenched with sweat. At the end of the day she would be worn out and Cyrus would drag her forcibly to her rooms.

The only thing that weakened her now,was the fucking curse.

But the curse came for a reason,to protect muggles,to prevent chaos from resurrection again.

She would endure the pain of the curse for the sake of the world, that was the price and shall be paid.

She went back to her room and sat on her bed, lotus position, her hands on her lap, staring at the wooden crafted box in front of her.

That she managed to retrieve it from the forest before returning back to the dungeons.

"What are you doing?" Tracey asked, from the door.

"Thinking," she replied without breaking her eye contact with the box,as if she was speaking mentally with it.

"Okaay," Tracey gave her suspicious glance before turning to her bed.

"Tracey!" she called out her friend.

"Ya!" the latter replied from her place.

"Have you ever faced a hard decision, and in both choices you lose?"

Tracey blanked twice at the pleading look, she received from her.

"Are you alright?" Tracey asked worried, she moved to Daphne's mattress and sat next to her.

She glanced at the box on it and back to her friend.

"Did something happen?" she looked at her slightly worried.

After short moment Daphne swallowed her saliva before she spoke "I am provoked by two difficult decisions, the first of which will make me break my promise to someone, while the second will most likely destroy my life, with something I do not have any fault in,"

Tracey gasped and looked in surprise at the pleading eyes of her friend.

"Oh my dear Salazar, are you PREGNANT!?" Tracey screamed.

"What!nooo,no!" Daphne exclaimed "why would you think that?"

"Amm,by the way you said it," Tracey simply said.

"Is anyone serious around here!" Daphne groaned.

Tracey lifted her hands in fear.

"You're hopeless, sometimes," Daphne said, throwing a pillow at her.

"Girl, obviously the first choice for Salazar's sake, why would you pick one that will destroy your life!" Tracey scolded her.

Daphne closed her eyes in agony, biting her lower lips to prevent the sudden screams in her head.

They have started playing over and over, the whole day,the screams of help.

"Don't scream,I beg you," she whispered,annoyed.

Tracey wrapped her hands around Daphne's shoulders for support.

'how can I break my brother's last wish,'

'I mean dearest Harry' her beast or inner demon told her previously,

Harry's smiling face and comforting hug was playing on her mind, Tracey's hugs were different from his.

It didn't comfort her as his's did.

She pulled away from Tracey and jumped off the bed, grasping the wooden box.

She ran to the door and turned to the stunned Tracey "thanks Tracey,I owe you one," she exclaimed.

When Tracey heard the door slams, she massaged her forehead and muttered smiling" you owe me a lot,"

She wondered why her friend would say that, and got worried about this life and death matter of her,'what did you get yourself involved with?' Tracey guessed in weary.

On the Riddle house,

The so famous Dark Lord aka Voldemort was staring at the mirror at his face, just hours ago he was looking in his seventies.

And now he looked at his fifties again.

He was surprised, stunned.

Ever since his resurrection he banned those who knew this place from coming,so it was just him and nagini.

His skin looked more human than before and his hair returned, did the blood affect him slowly.

He did not understand.

He was still angry at the previous events, his supposed fiancee escaped back to Hogwarts and burned down half a manor.

He should have being more careful,

In the blast of the moment he heard a familiar voice coming out of the fireplace.

"My lord!" he called.

Voldemort neared the fireplace and looked at the person.

His serious expression softened a bit at the person with a smirk on his lips, "Sam," he greeted him

The other man Sam smiled at his name being mentioned.

"Forgive me that I couldn't attend your resurrection ceremony," he apologized,"Things were pretty crazy here," he sighed tiredly as he waved his hands in the air.

"It seems you have good news for me," he smirked.

Sam's mood changed and nodded "They are will stop first in Syria and then move to Iraq the day after tomorrow"

"Exactly where in Iraq?" Voldemort required.

"Hanging Gardens of Babylon." Sam replied.

Voldemort inhaled and exhaled deeply, thinking.

Of the magical ruins of Babylon,it was a perfect spot for their traveling station.

Sam kept silent until he heard a reply from his lord.

"So the shrine lies in Babylon?"

Sam shook his head "Probably...king Phobos didn't mention the location of the shrine during the yearly meeting,"

Sam massaged his shoulder before continuing

"The transfer process will be conducted in a very secretive manner, and all necessary measures will be taken for the mission to be successful."

"So why did they choose Babylon? It might be a trap?" Voldemort raised a brow.

"Mostly, especially after publicly announcing the sanctities," Sam agreed.

Voldemort paced twice in front of the fireplace.

"My lord,is something wrong?" Nagini asked in parseltongue.

Voldemort almost forgot her existence for a moment and smiled comforting his pet and soothing her.

For Voldemort, this news was the final kick-off of his plan that he drew more than twenty years ago. Finally it was time to turn the tables. It is time for this community to take its right.

He turned to the young man and smiled, "Well, it's time to send in the secret unit,"

"Sir, it is not normal soldiers who are going to do the transportation," Sam noted.

Voldemort raised his eyebrow in wonder.

"The plan has changed, the commander himself decided to go," Sam continued.

Voldemort blinked twice and his face turned red "Do you think I would get scared of such a man," he snapped.

"My lord! We are talking about a man that carried this state on his shoulders for more than forty years, even the kings got scared of him," Sam remarked, his voice full of alert and caution

Voldemort waved his wand to the cabin next to the fireplace and a bottle of firewhiskey flew to him with a glass following behind.

As the liquor poured down the glass, Voldemort wrapped his fingers around it and sipped.

"And since when do I not have a plan," he scuffed..

The auburn haired man chuckled at Voldemort "alright, see you soon...father,"

"Till next time...godson," Voldemort lifted his glass.

The fire turned to normal and Voldemort glance at it.

'The commander himself, what a challenge! 'he thought.

His thoughts turned to the twenty seven years old man that he spoke to,just a few moments ago.

The auburn haired man that found him years ago on the streets,on the brink of death

He was three years old and had no home to return to.

Voldemort saw something in him and took him in,and named him his godson.

He may have no offspring but he saw in Sam,the eagerness and loyalty.

So he raised him on his own beliefs and trained him well enough to be his perfect soldier.

Let him finish his education in Durmstrang.

When Voldemort fell on Halloween evening,Sam was thirteen but he did not run away like he expected him to.

Instead he stayed,he looked after his godfather and Nagini.

He finished his education,on the top of his year.

And with the best he could,he managed to let the royals notice him.

He was able to join the special recruitment program, and from there he approached the little prince Phobos and gained his confidence, until he became his close friend and his secret keeper.

Sam was his hand that even his closed circle does not know about him, after all most his men were arrested or hiding and running.

Sam proved himself to be his most loyal man,he helped him draw a new plan to destroy the royal dynasty.

His mood lightened after the news, he would have to deal with the running princess but now,his next step was relaying on Babylon.

Voldemort cast a glamour on himself and changed his features to the scary snake like face he had when he was resurrected.

He mentioned to Nagini to follow him as they apparated away,to the Malfoy manor.

The sun began to set, and the time limit given by the commander to Daphne had expired.

The man bade farewell to his old friend Dumbledore and set out to leave …

Harry was standing next to Dumbledore when they departed, Eva did not leave him for a moment under the excuse that she liked him, but he was waiting for Daphne with eagerness and great anxiety, he did not understand his wife's reaction, Until after Eva told him about the story of the sanctities that Phobos sought and why it is important. The latter did not tell him why they were forcibly taking the Grimoire from Daphne.

The lieutenant or vice commander however had her own fears in case Daphne refused to hand over the damn book.

How Harry got any work he had done with Eva poking around him he would never know. His wife's friend or whatever she was to her refused to stay still and silent. Every other moment she was looking at something new. Asking endless questions about nonsense. But through it all Harry kept his temper under control

"Tell me Harry, what do you think of them? Why did they visit?" Albus asked, snapping him from his zone.

Harry was taken aback by the question and hesitated to answer.

'Never let your mental defense relax, not just with your enemy, but even with those closest to you.' that was Remus's words to him during his summer training.

Harry relaxed and let out a sigh "I don't know professor, the man seemed suspicious to me and the woman, well she certainly does not hide her curiosity, are they from the ministry?" he asked innocently.

Albus stared for a moment at him before he spoke "No,they are allies," he said, leaving.

"Don't you have a special lesson with Professor Snape," he recalled.

And Harry's eyes barely widened, the last thing he would concern himself with,is the mighty Snape.

There was a lot in his mind, and he should start his own movements soon..

Berz and Eva marched down the drive of the castle,Eva couldn't hide her concern and Berz was deeply silent, the silence that could be before the raging storms.

She averted her eyes, trying to distract herself, when she saw someone at the end of a long drive standing, she didn't need to focus to know who.

There she was waiting for them,in her uniform, standing proudly.

When they finally reached her,she smirked.

"Did you thought I would let you leave without saying goodbyes, hmph, obviously no one knew me anymore,"

"Under normal circumstances, you'd be imprisoned for life." Berz explained to the former princess of the wizarding world, "Just don't' try to go insane again otherwise they're gonna have your head."

Daphne sighed, "Yeah I understand." her attention shifted to Eva, then back to him.

Daphne drew out the famous grimoire from under her school robe, "Surely you haven't forgotten about this?"

She looked at it and waved it in her hands, filling It's heaviness.

"To think that the whole parade started because of this," she scuffed sarcastically.

The wind around them played softly, and the singing of the birds within the forest, danced around their ears.

"We destroyed each other for this," she tightened her hold on the grimoire.

"We killed each other for this," she frowned and gave away the grimoire.

Since no one could touch it but the family,Berz pointed his wand at it and in blue The wood surrounded the grimoire, thus containing it in the form of a box.

It felt so surreal. Whenever it involved Eros, it was always a gamble to lose everything important to her.

Even before they became apart…she threw away her life for him and cared for nothing

And Here she was betraying his trust.

"This thing is nothing but a demon on my shoulders, the better for me to remove it." she rolled her eyes,

"You will let go?" Eva questioned in trepidation,

"Wasn't this the main reason for my departure," Daphne responded.

Eva hesitated. Could she be…?

"My brother made a fatal mistake when he took what was not his, and Phobos made even huger mistake by transferring the sanctities,"

Berz nodded and she proceeded "They entered between us with many tricks and tended to spread their toxins. And during this period, I witnessed many bad intentions that harm our nation. Don't let their toxins spread to our king," Her voice, which had been timid at the start of her speech, rises to a feverish and determined pitch as she speaks. But her heart, until now hardened to brittle glass to hold back the tears, cracks ever so slightly as she finally confess the truth.

What did it change? Eva frowned glancing at Berz who kept stoic.

"On top of that... I'm no longer part of this family, what they do is their damn own business,so this is it," she shrugged.

"Rhaenys…" Eva whispered, feeling tears about to fall.

Daphne winced at the sound of the name and shook her head "it's Daphne! Daphne Potter for all of you,"

It was just one name that drew the lines,Berz Understood it.

The girl in front of him decided to cut off all ties.

"...Let my heart bear witness, I do not want any harm to our state or our family," she said.

Eva jumped in front of him, hugging her fiercely, tears falling from her eyes harshly.

Daphne at first was shocked but her features soon softened and patted Eva's back.

"You can't do this!" Eva cried.

"It's for the best...your place is besides him,he needs you more,"Daphne whispered in her ear.

Eva nodded briefly as they separated.

"Shall we get going then?" Berz said

They each gave him a nod.

"Before you go, there's something else I'd like you to do." Daphne said.

Berz raised his brow.

Daphne's smiling face turned to a poker one instead.

Eva's brows furrowed and tilted her head in question.

"I think you owe my husband something, you have till midnight to fulfill your promise to him," she said coolly.

Berz said nothing, and turned on his heels,Eva looked sadly at her.

Daphne briefly waved briefly at her before they disappeared.

She looked up to the sky "forgive me," she murmured.

She didn't obey the orders of Berz as Eva may have thought, she simply chose what she wanted, not what they wanted her to do.

The cold wind played like ice strongs around her.

"Shall we make it rain," she joked to herself.

'why not…'

Daphne gathered her energy and tried to contact elements of air and water.

'may you allow my spirit to cry through you,' she prayed.

And in the same moment, she felt drops of rain hitting her cheeks.

Let nature cry for her...

She felt Harry's magic coming nearer and turned to the source itself.

He was coming to her and Daphne didn't know what happened in the heat of the moment, she ran to him.

Because simply...When you love someone you should let them know. You should tell them before it was too late. You should make them feel special before the sands of time slip from your hands. You might never know when the next moment would be your last.

So Daphne ran to his arms, and Harry hugged her.

He almost lost balance and his wand were about to slip between his fingers.

He shielded them with his wand from the light rain.

The Potters had no family left, except each other, even with everyone around them but they were alone in this world.

The sacred bond of marriage tied them in a relationship. They had been forced into this and now they were a family.

they had learned to love and respect each other.

She wanted to tell him that she only belonged to him and that her heart beats for only him

Harry did not need words to understand her, because he felt the same way.

"You gave it away?" he asked softly, part of him did not want her to give away the grimoire, not because of its importance but because of the death wish of his brother in law.

He knew how much Daphne loved him,and how guilty she would feel now.

"I did," she said into his chest…

"Well,I told you I will support whatever you decide didn't I," he smiled, sadly.

Daphne returned the gesture as she heard his voice and his heartbeat, she gave the grimoire because of it in the end.

She couldn't keep her promise to her dead brother, not because of her weakness and cowardness from death, but because of the heartbeats of her husband.

She wanted to listen to this tune for the rest of her life,a life that she doesn't want to give up on anymore.

It may be a selfish wish from her,but she doesn't want to die.

"Are we going to stay here all night?" Harry cleared his throat.

"I forgot that his majesty is impatience," Daphne pulled away from him.

"Am I ?" Harry smirked, moving away from back to the castle as he drew his wand, and waved it in the air.

Daphne yelled as she felt wind under her, making her robe alongside her skirt to rise higher, showing her undergarments.

She felt her cheeks pinking and gave a deadly glare at Harry, "pervert!" She yelled running after him.

Hitting his back over while he kept laughing, Daphne joined him and then stopped "didn't you say you had a very special lesson with Snape, why are you here?"

"Ah about that,Snape said it's after dinner however,he would kill me for being late but it's worth it,"

"For what,I don't recall him giving a special treatment, especially to you of all people?"

"Special occlumency training by the orders of the mighty Dumbledore," Harry said mimicking professor Snape's way of talking.

Daphne couldn't hold herself from laughing.

"I'm sorry about everything Harry...I hurt you during winter break...I didn't tell you about my encounter with Voldemort and what I did to the Greengrass...I should have told you everything...I broke our oath," Daphne said in guilt.

Harry didn't need to glance at her to know how honest she was.

As for the oath,he remembered her asking him for one thing when they decided to make their relationship work.

"Trust," that was her only request from him.

"You didn't break it,you were scared,I also hurt you without knowing,I should have being more considerate,"

"..." Daphne stayed silent over his gentle reply.

"So Cyrus is..." Harry halted.

"A Deatheater," she answered flatly," one of his most loyality dogs," she said bored, massaging her neck.

"Does he has a mark?" Harry asked.

She shook her head.

"You are their new target besides me now," he said as he looked back at her.

She didn't flinch for a second, and nodded "and I'm not an easy target, Voldemort probably knows about my escape now,"

"You need to tell me the details by the way,I would like to hear everything," Harry slapped the back of her head.

As they kept walking,Harry suggested to her a lot of places to think about moving to it,now that she had no home. He asked if she wanted to reside in the Grimmauld place, or would she want to be somewhere near London if she wanted to be in a busy city, or Surrey, since he remembered the way her eyes sparkled when she mentioned the last summer she spent there learning her new favourite hobby:the pottery. and last if she wanted a beach house. But there was only one thing on her mind.

"Where will you get the money, Harry"

"At the bank."

"I know that." She sighed while she rolled her eyes. "I mean, how? We cannot really buy a property even with our money combined."

"Daphne. I am a director of an airline and a potion besides company. Do not forget that I am the heir of one of the most ancient families in the world of magic, sometimes you forget that because of my appearance"

"Are you arrogant now?"

"No." He smirked, while he continued to list out more options to choose. Harry may be an irksome, sarcastic, trouble detector person, but she was allured by his charm making her bite her lower lip. She continued to listen to his never ending list of places, but there was only one place she thought as an ideal place to live.

"Can we live at the meadows?" She asked, not even knowing where a place would be suitable, but she wanted to live at the meadows, she always found solitude within the nature.

"Is that what you really want?" Harry replied without missing a beat.

"Yeah. I'd love that. I love to grow herbs, vegetables, flowers, and many more. I love to live a simple life."

"If that's what you want, Daphne. Then alright." Harry nodded, f. He would write a letter tomorrow to his lawyer to find him a place within his properties matched her desires . "Let's see a meadow with a huge ass lake?"

She nodded, the sound of adding a lake in a nearby meadow would be somewhere peaceful to live. The thought of it made her like a kid again. But then she recalled something.

"How about you Harry? Don't you have preferences? What about Sirius? You always wanted to live with him?"

"Anywhere is fine." He halted as he gave her a look, "Anywhere clean, I mean, Sirius and I discussed it during the break, you will live first alone then I will join you,"

She was speechless, her respect to him grew larger,he was thinking all this time about her wellbeing and how he would help her.

"What!?" Harry asked flatly, when he noticed her stare digging a hole in him.

"Can you believe Tracey, she thought I'm pregnant," Daphne suddenly said, changing the subject.

Harry paused and blinked at her with an opened mouth.

"I'm not!" she cried refusing the idea"it's crazy!" she scuffed

"O-oh," he said, but he. Felt disappointed, why did he feel disappointed from her reaction.

Daphne noticed his changed behaviour so she broke the tension.

"You really rejected the perfect girl!?" she asked, amazed.

"Haha funny,as if you will let me go out with her,you would rip out my eyes before I could even answer,"

"Well... you're right," she hummed then blinked "wait a minute, you were attending to accept her offer?" she gasped.

Harry smirked.

Daphne punched his shoulder "you traitor! what happened to the gryffindor's loyalty?"

Harry couldn't hold his chuckles at her burst "okay! Stop it!"

When Daphne stopped he started rubbing his abused arm.

"what are you eating!? For heaven's sake I swear you are made of iron and not of bone, are you sure you are not a robot,"

"Tch," Daphne spat.

"Now don't be mad, I'm just saying the truth, my poor body will get broken under your wrath,my sweet poor body,"

"Honestly, what does she see in you anyway, you four eyes!" she Spat at him "I'm the one who should feel sorry for myself that I will be stuck with you forever," she turned her face away pretending to be in despair.

Harry felt his veins popped in anger and looked at her "feel sorry you say, well I don't recall that when you were screaming my name, begging for release,"

Daphne's face turned red and faltered "I-I,"

Harry's smirk widened at his victory,he was able to sway away the sorrow and distract her,he didn't need to ask her how she would feel after breaking her promise to a dead brother.

It would only shame her even more.

Daphne's face reddened even more from anger, and in the heat of the moment, there was a voice of thunder all around them.

And Harry could see the clouds gather around, darkening even more than their previous shape preparing out of nowhere to a stronger storm.

"Do you," she started, "pity me too?"

The heavy words were like a stone, she didn't want to cry.

He was distracting her sadness but it seemed like pity.

"This is not about pitying." Harry did not hesitate. "To me you're not just my wife, you are the strongest, patient person and sometimes sadistic girl I ever known,"

Harry wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her to his chest,he didn't need to worry, everyone would be in the great hall for dinner, who would be out and in the coldest and rainiest days of January.

Except for his ice Queen.

Daphne was surprised by the sudden move and glanced up at his face,he looked more mature in close, his eyes were staring ahead.

she moved her hand to his chest, feeling his heart beating softly,It was the tone she felt the most with tranquility.

"through thick and thin," Harry's voice cut off her tranquility,

'Am I too selfish?' Daphne wondered,

She watched him stretch his arms, giving her an arched look telling her that it was time to retire the night. She dipped down her head as she followed suit in the castle, observing how much closer they became, When they reached the entrance where they should part their nights, she called him.

"We are a horrible couple," Daphne said tinderly, as she saw the gates of the castle on sight.

"Perhaps that's what makes us special," Harry smiled.

They parted their ways. Harry went to his special treatment as Daphne called it,and Daphne retreated to her room, wanting nothing but curl under her covers.

Daphne couldn't hide her joy, so she smiled so happily while changing into her nightgown.

The two cleared any wrong idea between them, they were fire and ice together and they loved it,

Sorrow sure didn't leave her, what happened today was one of the hardest days that passed through her life, she faced the hardest choice of her life and she would live once again with the guilt of treason.

Once again,God gave her another chance to survive.

Nevertheless, she broke her brother's will, how would she live with another sin that was joined into her list of sins, she no longer wants to live with the restrictions of the ruling family, she wants the same thing that her husband wants, she wants freedom.

Harry was probably still with professor Snape and Tracey was sleeping and couldn't bother the latter either.

She couldn't sleep and didn't want for the first time in her life to rely on her sleeping pills, healer Astrid was right, professor Snape was right, those pills were just hurting her even more.

The nightmares be damned, for all she cares any more.

After hours of rustless sleep, she couldn't held it anylonger, turning right and left in her bed, with covering her ears, she couldn't do it.

She couldn't sleep, the face of her brother comes to her mind as soon as she close her eyes, holding within his eyes, the anguish.

Hogwarts at night always had such an eerie feel to it; the portraits were asleep, not a person in sight, ghosts wafting around in the moonlight. A chill went down her spine at the thought of it.

She glanced out the window - the moon was at a waning crescent, she remembered professor Lupin, and his suffering from it when it complet, she hadn't any interaction with the professor but when he taught them DADA he seemed nice,it was unfortunate news he left school.

She crept along the stone corridors and her face was twisted with pain. She kept going.

The screams hadn't stopped the whole day,and she refused to obey them,it was louder when she closed her eyes.

Finally, Daphne reached the bottom of the winding staircase that led up to the astronomy tower. The banister was like an old friend to her and she clung onto it. It was times like this when self-hatred coursed through her veins. she used to came a lot over the years, when she has sleepless night or when she was on the edge of breaking, and the torture her body used to receive. Daphne pushed the thought aside and began to climb, using the railings for support.

Straightening her back she climbed the staircase with more vigour and doubled her speed - she finally stepped out onto the floor of the astronomy tower.

Telescopes and astronomical equipment lay in the corner and several books were gathering on shelf. An intricate marble solar system was etched into the floor and Daphne looked at it with admiration for its beauty. she walked to the windowsill,

Each breath was chilling, refreshing, and somehow, even as high up as she was, she could smell the fragrant yellow bushes, that grew at the base of the tower.

It was the perfect place for solitude.

She leant on the handrail, looking up at the moon. As she looked up at it, she could almost feel it speaking to her.

She shook her head and turned her back on the moon. Instead, she focused on the rafters of the great castle.

A small sad smile crept onto her face and tears started to fall, and she just basked in the alien feeling of peace.

The wind rustles around her, blowing loose strands of hair that cling to her wet cheeks. Even after seventh long months , she abhors the silence. As she sat, crying silently, she longs desperately to hear or see him one last time.

She went through her tears and held the violin on her lap, caressing gently the string.

Eros's precious thing on the world.

"Can I really play you..." She asked. Daphne looked up at the sky, looking back down at the violin she picked it up along with the bow and stood up.

"I already broke my promise...so I guess it won't hurt to play... He's not here, so..." Daphne whispered, and put the violin on her shoulder and hands on the right place on the neck of the violin.

She moved her finger on the string, remembering the tones, when was the last times she heard him play.

She doesn't recall.

"Let's try…" Pulling the bow across the strings, for the first time in ages, she mistook the tone and the bow went harsh on the string.

'try again but softly…' Eros told her.

She felt soft fingers brush over hers and turned her head to their owner.

"Brother…" she whispered.

Eros's icey eyes met hers and said nothing.

"Forgive me…"

"Play…" he said flatly.

She nodded and tried again this tune was softer and sader…

It was the only symphony that she still remembered…

And she played it to cherish the old days, as if she was pouring her feelings into the violin and it was telling her story through music notes.

...Living people walking, stories and longing to be taken…

And then she heard it,her brothers soothing voice, singing his song.

She smiled and continued the melody,

...A day passes and dies, and the narrator of stories works…

The images of days when she was just the youngest sister to her siblings,

The images of her family sitting on the garden of their home,in a rare picnic, her sisters laughters and her mother delicious cakes, and her bother's play.

...Myths, mysteries and miraculous life journey…

The tone turned deeper while the song kept playing

...Traveling on the sail of dreams and strangers…

She kept playing again, her eyes tightly closed, feeling the moment.

...And a page in the middle of a book، by presence, by absence…

Daphne gasped when she heard her late sister Isleene joining her brother on the Celtic dance.

It was the mere second, that Daphne fell into the melody and her playing faster.

..Demons and they live, they were once human…

Her sister sang and Daphne looked up while playing, she saw them all.

Dancing around her.

...Brothers become one day enemies...

Daphne lips trembled at the words of her sister.

...If only on the day that a written destiny happened, and the pens were raised…

...Labyrinths and mazes, peoples that lived And civilizations..

The sad melody drifted across the school for everyone to hear, but the only ones who heard, were the ones who has stories of their own.

Who were still awake mourning their days, their sins and past mistakes.

Written on the forehead of days and lovers

Eros's voice danced on her ears…

Love stories before parting are being repeated so far…

the sibling joined together and their voices faded.

the disappearance of their voices, didn't stop her from playing the melody till it's ending.

When she finished, she felt relief she hadn't felt in ages.

"Brovo! Brovo!" A familiar voice exclaimed behind her.

Daphne turned around to see a clapping and smiling Dumbledore.

"That was wonderful! Miss Greengrass,"

"Headmaster! thank you..." Daphne said to him thinking of her past, bowing her head in respect to him.
