Attention all readers-Here is the Johto region. I'm going on record to say that I'm working hard on the Johto region and I've only seen certain clips online for certain episodes. In the original airing of Pokemon and its entire running of Ash and Pikachu's journey, I know that Ash doesnt have a sibling. Like the other Pokemon Fanfiction that I have uploaded so far, in my version (as well as others that I have read), Ash has a sibling.

Also, Jordan will do the current count for the number of times Team Rocket tried to take Pikachu and Meeko away from her and Ash, that includes the banned and not aired in the United States episodes. I don't want to make those episodes feel left out. I hope that you will like it and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN POKEMON! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND THE CREATION OF HER REGIONAL POKEMON TEAM! TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE REGION ORDER THAT I'M WRITING, I ASK THAT YOU STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT! ITS GETTING REALLY ANNOYING RIGHT NOW! I'M WORKING WITH WHAT I GOT SO DONT RUSH ME TO DO THE OTHER REGIONS, OK!

Shoutouts:

Gustav Engstrom-You're not the only one who has asked me if I was going to write my own version of the Pokemon movies. Straight up, I would love, love, love to write my own versions of the movies. It would be an awesome challenge and an honor for me to do them. Only...there's one problem. I would have to get the Pokemon movies (minus the live action Pokemon movie, Detective Pikachu) on iTunes. I know what you and everyone else is going to say, that I can watch the show and the movies online for free. Not every single website lets you, the consumer, watch shows like online for free. Some websites lets you create your own account in order to watch them, some lets you watch them without having to create an account while others have you create your own account and pay for them. Half of those website dont even have english dubbed subtitles for those who are hearing-impaired. I just prefer watching anime shows and movies on iTunes because of subtitles (I'm a little hard of hearing due to an ear infection when I was little).

Narrator: Last time, Ash, Jordan and their friends were well on their way to the Violet City Gym. Say, this doesn't look like….

Jordan: You got it, Mister!

Narrator: Uh-oh!

Brock's eyebrow twitches as he thinks. "Don't tell me. We're lost again, aren't we?" asked Misty.

"Toge…prii." said Togepi.

"Say it aint so, Brock." said Jordan.

"Olu." said Meeko.

"We're not lost exactly." said Ash.

"Oh, no, we're not lost." said Brock. "Its just that we don't know where we are."

"This always happens when Ash is in charge." said Misty as she and Jordan hung their heads.

"Yep." added Jordan.

"Pika-Pika." said Pikachu, sitting on the ground.

"Its almost sundown and we're gonna be stuck in some spooky forest all night." stated Brock.

"Did you say, 'Spooky'?" asked Misty.

"How 'Spooky' are we talking about here?" asked Jordan.

"Don't worry, guys. Come on, lets go!" said Ash, staying positive for everyone.

"Go where?" asked Misty and Jordan.

"Just trust me, you'll see!" Ash said over his shoulder, running further ahead. "Our troubles will be over in no time."

"That means our troubles are just starting." said Misty.

"Mm-hmm." said Brock.

"Pika-Pik." said Pikachu.

"Riol." said Meeko.

"Can Pikachu, Meeko and I trade Ash for either one of you?" Jordan asked Misty and Brock. "You're better than he is."

"We wish, but no." they both said as the three of them went after Ash.

The sun finally sets and the moon is high in the sky above the forest. "Ash, where are we now?" shouted Misty.

"Now, we're lost." he answered, scratching his head.

"And we're in the middle of nowhere!" she shouted at him.

"Everywhere is somewhere." said Ash.

"Figures." said Jordan. "Next time, let's leave Misty or Brock is in charge."

"Pika-Pik!" Pikachu said to Ash.

"Riolu." said Meeko.

"I-I don't like this place." said Misty. "It's, its spooky."

"Prrii!" said Togepi, worriedly. Clouds darkened the night sky as the wind blew through the trees. Haunter and Gengar were heard growling on the wind, causing the quartet to gasp.

"Cut it out!" said Misty, thinking that it was Ash and Brock. "Making those sounds isn't funny!"

"That wasn't me, Misty." said Brock.

"You know me better than that, Misty." said Jordan.

"Who's there?" Ash asked, calling out. "Come on out!"

The voices of Haunter and Gengar were once again heard on the wind when suddenly, a tree in front of them had a spooky face on its trunk. The quartet screamed in terror as they held onto one another with Pikachu and Meeko.

"PIKA! RIOLU!" Pikachu and Meeko screamed in fight as they held onto Ash and Jordan.

Hearing the voices again, the quartet ran in the other direction. Running around in fear, the forest was scaring the quartet. "Hoot!" shouted a couple of owl-like Pokémon, shining a red light from their eyes in front of the quartet.

The spooky faces and the noises behind them faded, disappearing from the forest. Ash gasps as he and the others looked up to see the forest was back to normal. "Ah! What was that?" Ash asked, hugging Jordan and Meeko.

"It was nothing." said Gary, standing behind them.

"Gary!" said Ash.

"Everything you saw and heard was an illusion." he said, then pets both owl-like Pokémon. "Good job, Hoothoot."

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot #1.

"I'm glad you're here, Gary." said Jordan, then looks down at the two Hoothoot. "And the two of you are very cute Pokémon."

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #2, flapping its wings as it smiled.

"What's a…." Ash started to asked when he pulls out Dexter.

"Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon. Hoothoot stands on one leg, but uses both its powerful eyes to see clearly even through the darkest night." said Dexter as Hoothoot #1 hoops away from Gary while Hoothoot #2 hops towards Jordan and Meeko, looking at them curiously.

"Unprepared as usual." said Gary. "I understand if this was Jordan, but…Don't you know you have to use a Hoothoot to get through this forest?"

"What do you mean?" Ash asked Gary. "What happens if we don't?"

"You'll get lost here forever." Gary tells Ash.

"Forever?" asked Ash as Jordan and Meeko, hugging each other.

"Pika?" asked a nervous Pikachu.

"We don't want to be lost in here forever! Riolu!" cried Jordan and Meeko.

"But you have a Hoothoot, two of them in fact and you're still here in the forest." said Misty. "If you're not lost, how come we caught up with you?"

"Oh, that's easy." said Gary. "I've been busy. I've caught so many Pokémon, I must have lost track of time. You see, that's what makes me a great Pokémon trainer."

"Uh." said Ash.

"Question: Why are there two Hoothoot with you?" asked Jordan as Hoothoot #2 rubs its face against her.

"I believe this one likes being with its friend." Gary tells her. "As soon as I got to this forest, I sized up the situation and took action." I realized I needed a Hoothoot and I got one. This second Hoothoot just chose to come along. Come on, Hoothoot, we better get going. Both of you."

"Hoothoot." Hoothoot #1 said, ready to lead Gary away.

"Hoothoot." Hoothoot #2 said, shaking its head, not wanting to leave Jordan and Meeko.

"Its okay. I'm glad that I got to meet you." Jordan said, smiling as she held its wings in her hands. Hoothoot #2 nodded and follows Gary and its friend out of the forest.

"That Gary." said Ash, staring after him. "Someday I'll show him."

"Just like you said at the Indigo Plateau but didn't due to him being knocked out in round 4?" said Jordan.

"Pika!" said Pikachu.

"Riol!" said Meeko.

"Guys, if we want get through this forest, I think we better do what Gary did and get a Hoothoot to help us out." said Brock.

"I'm with you." said Misty.

"Pika." said Pikachu.

"Okay!" said Ash. "I say its time we found us a Hoothoot!"

"I wonder how long this will take." said Jordan. Searching through the grass, the quartet were looking for a Hoothoot, unknown that Hoothoot #2 was hiding from them.

"Hoothoot, Hoothoot!" Ash called out as he crawled out on his knees. "Any Hoothoot here?"

"Where are you? Hoothoot!" said Misty.

"We've got some delicious Pokémon food, Hoothoot!" added Brock.

"Pika?" asked Pikachu, going in some bushes. "Pikachu."

Out of nowhere, Hoothoot #2 appears in front of Pikachu, wing to its beak. "Hoothoot." it whispered to the mouse.

"Pika?" Pikachu asked, wondering why it was there.

"Hoothoot, Hoothoot." it tells him, then points to Jordan and Meeko. "Hoothoot."

"Pikachu." Pikachu said in understanding as Hoothoot #2 hops away to the other side of the bushes.

"Hoothoot! Calling all Hoothoot!" said Ash, sitting in the tree. "Hoothoot! Hoothoot! Hoothoot?"

"I think looking for a Hoothoot is only getting us more lost." said Misty.

"Toge, Toge…prrii!" said Togepi.

"Hoothoot…" said Ash, then hangs his head in defeat. "We're never gonna find one."

"If you kept going like that, you'll wind up losing your voice." said Jordan.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot.

"Hmm?"

"Huh?"

"Which Hoothoot is this one?" asked Jordan.

"Riol?" asked Meeko.

Just then, Hoothoot appears in front of Misty. "Hoothoot!" it said, playfully.

"Hoothoot?" asked the quartet.

"Pikachu." said Pikachu, anxiously.

"Uh." said Misty, walking away from it.

"Hoot!" said Hoothoot #1, following Misty. She then tries again, only to be followed again by Hoothoot #1.

"It's following me!" cried Misty.

"Are you the one was helping Gary or the second Hoothoot's friend?" asked Jordan.

"Hoothoot." it replied, hopping once as points to the bushes while rubbing its head against Misty's leg.

"Don't worry, Misty, its just saying hello." said Ash as Hoothoot #2 hops out of the bushes.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #2, hopping out into Jordan's arms.

"I think that one likes you, Jordan." said Brock.

"Really?" asked Jordan.

"Hoothoot." it said, rubbing its face against Jordan's body again.

"Aw! You're so cute." cooed Jordan as Hoothoot #2 starts hopping over to Meeko and rubs its face against her.

"Riol, Riol." cooed Meeko, sitting down and starts to rock Hoothoot #2, who hoots in comfort.

"Hoot." said Hoothoot #1, looking up at Ash and starts pecking his head.

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot #2, curious to know why its friend is attacking Ash before taking off.

"Hey, wait!" said Ash.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #1, running off.

"Come back!" shouted the quartet.

"Hoothoot!" Hoothoot #2 shouted after its friend. They all chased after Hoothoot #1.

"Where are you going?" asked Misty.

"Slow down!" shouted Ash and Jordan.

"Wait for us!" shouted Brock.

"Hoothoot! Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #1 as it goes past a stone gate.

"Huh?" said Jordan as they all looked up at the front gate.

"What's this weird stone thing doing here?" asked Misty.

"Maybe, maybe it isn't here at all." said Brock.

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot #2, flying into Jordan's arms.

"Hoot! Hoot!" said Hoothoot #1, running away further from them.

"Pika! Riol!" said Pikachu and Meeko.

"You couldn't go past this gate thing to follow your friend?" Jordan asked and Hoothoot #2 shook its head.

"Come on, lets follow it." said Ash.

"We'll bring you with us." Misty said to Hoothoot #2.

"Hoothoot! Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #1 as it goes past a statue with its picture of the Pokémon on it.

"If that Hoothoot doesn't slow down soon, we'll never catch it." said Ash.

"Yeah." said Jordan.

"Ugh! I cant keep up." said Ash, panting as he ran. "Pikachu, stop Hoothoot #1. Use Thundershock."

"Pika!" Pikachu said, sparks at the ready. Hoothoot #1 stops where it was going and turns around, glaring at the quartet and its friend.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #2, pointing a wing at its friend.

"Hoot!" it said and flies towards them. "Hoot!"

Everyone screamed as Hoothoot #1 angrily flies towards them. Jordan and Meeko protected Hoothoot #2 as Hoothoot #1 attacks Ash, pecking hard at his head. "Ow! Ow! Ow!" said Ash as he ran around in a circle.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu tells Ash.

"I think I found a way to deal with Ash." said Jordan.

"Riolu. Riol, Riol." said Meeko.

"Yeah, get a bird Pokémon to peck him hard in the head." said Jordan.

"Wont that hurt your brother?" Misty asked.

"I'm not going have them do it when he's awake." Jordan tells her, then whispers in her and Brock's ears. "This is only for when he over sleeps and Pikachu can't wake him up."

"Pika! Pikachu!" said Pikachu, grateful that Jordan was being thoughtful.

"Great idea!" said Brock.

"Its better than having Mr. Mime waking him up." said Misty as Ash continued to cry out in pain.

"Hoothoot?" asked Hoothoot #2, curious to know.

"Other than Pokémon, my brother likes to sleep in every morning." Jordan explained. "He's not a morning person."

"Ow! Ow! Ow!"

Hoothoot #1 finally stops pecking Ash's head and hops over to someone, then stands by their side. "Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot #1 as Ash gasps.

"This could be a trick." said Misty.

"It's probably another illusion." said Brock.

"Uh, you think so?" asked Ash and Jordan hides behind her brother.

"Of course." said Brock, then walks over to the stranger in front of them. "Have you ever seen anything this scary even in your dreams?"

"Guess not." said Ash. "Something that ugly only shows up in my nightmares."

"The nightmares I get are the ones Ash gave me over the years." said Jordan.

"Is that so?" asked the woman. "Well, wake up, sonny 'cause I'm the best-looking thing around here!"

"Huh!" said Ash.

"Maybe its real after all." said Brock.

"Are you a real live person?" asked Misty and Jordan.

"Pika? Riol?" asked Pikachu and Meeko.

"Last time I looked I was." she said. "The name's Hagatha. And, kids, you're gonna need me to get out of this forest."

"I'll take that offer." said Jordan.

"Hoot…hoot." said Hoothoot #1 as it jumps around with its friend with Jordan and Meeko chasing them.

"Hey…no fair, you two." said Jordan, chasing after Hoothoot #2.

"Your own business?" asked Misty.

"That's right." said Hagatha. "I have a business renting Hoothoot to travelers passing through the forest, like you little children are. They help you past the mischievous Pokémon and those ghostly things they make you see."

"You mean Pokémon made us see those things?" asked Brock.

"That's right, but Hoothoot have the power to see through such illusions." Hagatha explained.

"Gotcha!" said Jordan as she catches Hoothoot #2 in her arms.

"Hoothoot!" it said, happily rubbing its face against hers, then Meeko's. "Hoothoot!"

"So that's how Gary got his Hoothoot." said Misty. "He stopped her and rented it, just like everybody else does."

"Hagatha, can we rent one of your Hoothoot too?" asked Ash.

"Well, alright." she said.

"Okay!" said Ash.

"But there is one little problem." said Hagatha.

"Huh? Hm?"

"That's the only Hoothoot I have left." she said, seeing Hoothoot #1 flapping its wings.

"What about the Hoothoot playing with Jordan and Meeko?" asked Brock, causing Jordan, Meeko and Hoothoot #2 to look up.

"That's just a wild one. It hatched from its egg about a week ago and hasn't learned how-to see-through illusions yet." Hagatha answered.

"You're a wild Hoothoot?" Jordan asked Hoothoot #2.

"Hoothoot! Hoothoot!" it said, nodding and gives Jordan a hug.

"Do you want to come with me and everyone?" she then asked.

"Hoothoot!" replied Hoothoot #2, hopping out of Jordan's arms and flies around her, smiling.

"Alright!" said Jordan. "Pokéball, go!"

Jordan throws a Pokéball at Hoothoot #2, hitting its mark and it goes inside. After wiggling a few times, the red light goes off. "I just caught a Hoothoot!" said Jordan, holding the Pokéball in the air.

"Riolu!" said Meeko.

"Pik-Pikachu!" said Pikachu.

"I promise to help you become strong." said Jordan and Hoothoot #2 shakes its Pokéball from the inside. Brock looks over at Hoothoot #1 as it hops around.

"It looks perfectly fine to me." Brock said to Hagatha. "Why can't we take that one?"

"Believe me, sonny, you don't want that Hoothoot." Hagatha said.

"Whats the matter with it?" asked Misty.

"Don't know exactly, but its never guided a single traveler safe through those woods." explained Hagatha. The quartet gasped in shock.

"I did my best to warn that poor young fellow but he insisted on taking that Hoothoot anyway." said Hagatha, telling the story.

"Well, w-what happened to him?" asked Brock.

"He finally made it back here after three days wandering them woods, half-starved and full out of his head." she tells them.

"Hoothoot! Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot.

"Since then, I just keep this one here with me with its friend to visit." said Hagatha.

"But what are we gonna do without a Hoothoot?" asked Misty. "The one Jordan captured isn't strong enough to lead us out."

"The others will be back tomorrow. Just wait till then." suggested Hagatha. "Trust me, you'll be much better off."

"We cant wait!" said Ash, gaining Hoothoot's attention. "If we do, Gary will just keep getting further and further ahead of us and we'll never catch up. I bet all this Hoothoot needs is a good trainer like me. Right? What do you say, Hoothoot?"

"Be careful, Ash." warned Misty.

"You don't want your head attacked again." added Jordan.

"There's nothing to worry about, you two." said Ash, picking Hoothoot off of the stone statue it was sitting on. "The two of us are gonna get along just fine. See?" Hoothoot stares intensely at Ash before it jumps out of his arms and into Misty's lap.

"Hoothoot!" it said, happily sitting in Misty's lap.

"You want to hang out with Misty, don't you?" asked Jordan.

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot, nodding.

"Of, I forgot to mention." said Hagatha. "Since I'm the one who raised it, this Hoothoot only gets along with pretty girls."

"Cool!" said Jordan, looking at Hoothoot. "Since I caught your friend, may I pet you?"

"Oh, is that right, Hoothoot?" asked Misty. "Do you like pretty girls?"

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot, happily as Misty and Jordan gave it attention.

"Too bad there aren't any here." said Ash.

"What did you say, Ash Ketchum?" growled Misty as she, Jordan and Hagatha stared angrily at him.

"Uh, nothing." said Ash.

"Good, because you better not let mom hear you say that!" said Jordan.

"Hmm." said James, looking at a map.

"We've been hanging around in these woods so long I feel like a pinecone." said Meowth.

"James, have you found a way out of this forest yet?" asked Jessie.

"Not yet, Jess, but I think I may have discovered a good way to get in." he tells her.

"Maybe we should try taking that route and just walk backwards." suggested Meowth.

"Hoothoot does like girls better than boys." said Misty, unknown that Team Rocket was nearby. "Don't you, Hoothoot?"

"Hoot!" said Hoothoot.

"And who's a cute Hoothoot? You are." said Jordan.

"Hoothoot!"

"Whatever." said Ash.

"Pika! Riol!" said Pikachu and Meeko.

"Look, James, the twerps." said Jessie, watching the quartet walk through the forest with Hoothoot.

"Even when we're lost, we always find Pikachu and Meeko." said James.

"Its too bad." said Meowth. "The only thing we seem to do is nothing at all." In Misty's backpack, Togepi was asleep while Meeko was being carried in Jordan's arms. "What do you think of the nickname…'Raven'?" asked Brock.

"Raven…." Jordan said to herself. "I like it. What do you think, Meeko?"

"Riolu." said Meeko, agreeing.

"Uh, this looks just like the place where we saw those illusions before." said Ash as they stopped behind Hoothoot. "Huh?"

"Hoot." said Hoothoot, shivering in fear. "Hoot."

"Hey, something's got Hoothoot pretty scared." said Ash. Hoothoot turns around, hooting at Ash, saying that it wasn't scared until it sees something.

"Is something wrong, Hoothoot?" asked Misty.

"Its okay, Hoothoot." said Jordan. Behind Jordan, Misty and Brock, blue fireballs appeared in the air.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot, panicking as it sees Will-O-Wisp.

"Don't you…" Ash started to say when Will-O-Wisp appears around him.

"What's wrong with them four?" asked Meowth as he, James and Jessie appeared behind a tree, watching the quartet scream. Jessie watches Misty tries to shoo away a Will-O-Wisp, only to see that she was batting at nothing.

"Get away!" said Misty.

"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu cried out as he held onto his ears.

"Its not real, its not real." said Jordan as she held Meeko and Pikachu in her arms.

"Hmm." said James seeing nothing around Jordan, Meeko and Pikachu.

"Pika! It's not real!"

"We've got to get rid of these things!" said Brock as Ash backs away.

"Hoothoot, do something." said Ash.

"Hoothoot." it calmly said, turning away from Ash.

"Hoothoot." said Ash.

"Please, Hoothoot, do it for me and Jordan." begged Misty.

"Hoothoot!" it said, ready to do it.

"Hah!"

"Thanks a lot." said Ash as Misty smiles.

"Hoot…hoot!" shouted Hoothoot, using its eyes to push back Will-O-Wisp until it stop. "Hoothoot."

"Oh…come here." said Jordan, holding it in her arms.

"Huh! Hey, don't give up now." said Ash.

"Pika, Pika." pleaded Pikachu.

"Please, don't give up, Hoothoot." pleaded Misty with tears forming in her eyes.

"Hoothoot!" Hoothoot said aggressively, determined to do it for Misty and Jordan.

"Ah! It worked!" said Ash. Hoothoot starts to attack as Will-O-Wisp combined itself into a huge blue fireball with a face. Gengar could be heard growling from behind. Shocked, Hoothoot flaps its wings and runs away in fear.

"Come back!" Ash called out to Hoothoot. Gengar growls even more, scaring everyone and they take off after Hoothoot.

"Hmm." said Meowth as they watched the quartet run away in fear.

"Those Twerps have lost their minds." said Jessie.

"Yeah, and now they're gonna lose their Pikachu and Riolu too." said Meowth as Team Rocket laughs.

In a small clearing, everyone stops to catch their breath. "Hoothoot just ran away and left us there." panted Ash, glaring at Hoothoot. "Big help you are!"

"Hoot!" it said sheepishly, turning away from Ash.

"I hope that Raven is better than the one we have, Jordan." said Brock.

"With the help of you three? It'll be the nicest Hoothoot ever." said Jordan.

"Don't blame Hoothoot." said Misty. "Hagatha warned us, didn't she?"

"Toge…" said Togepi.

"Hoothoot." Hoothoot said to Misty.

"Right, Hoothoot?" asked Misty.

"Hoo." it happily said.

"Uh…hmm."

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot when Ash picks it up from the ground.

"You've played around enough!" Ash said to Hoothoot. "Now you're gonna get serious."

"Hoothoot!" it said as Ash placed it under his arms.

"Where are you going?" asked Misty.

"Its doing the best it can." said Brock.

"No, its not." argued Ash. "We need to get out of this forest and Hoothoot needs to start acting like a real Pokémon!"

"Ash, maybe…." Misty started saying.

"Maybe nothing!" said Ash. "Hoothoot's a Pokémon. It can learn how to help us. All it has to do is try." Hoothoot then flies out of Ash's arms and runs over to Misty.

"Hoothoot." it said.

"Poor Hoothoot." said Misty.

"Ash is right, you guys." said Jordan, looking at Misty and Brock. "Even though its scared, Hoothoot is a Pokémon and needs to start acting like an actual Pokémon. Do either one of you want to stay in this forest forever? I know that Pikachu, Meeko and I don't."

She then walks over to Hoothoot and gets down to Hoothoot's level. "Hoothoot, I know that you're scared. I am too." said Jordan.

"Hoothoot?" it asked, looking up at her.

"I'm scared that you wont be able to lead us out of this forest and that you want us to stay here forever." she said.

"Hoothoot. Hoothoot."

"You don't want us to stay here?" Jordan asked.

"Hoothoot!" it tells her, shaking its head at her.

"Please, Hoothoot." said Misty, gaining the Owl Pokémon's attention.

"Hoot?" it whimpered.

"If you help us, you'll be helping yourself." said Misty.

"Hoothoot." it said, sadly.

"To guide my friends and me through the forest you'll have to use your special powers." said Misty. "And if you do, you'll start to become a much stronger Pokémon."

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot, still sad.

"Wouldn't you like that?" Misty asked.

"Hoo." said Hoothoot, looking at Misty and Jordan with sad eyes as it thought about what they were telling it. "Hoothoot!"

"Hoothoot says, 'Okay'." said Misty.

"Yay!" said Jordan.

"That's just great!" grumbled Ash.

"Pika-Pik." said Pikachu.

"Riolu." sighed Meeko.

"Don't mind my brother. He's just grumpy right now." Jordan said to Hoothoot.

"I know you can do it, Hoothoot." said Misty, holding its wings.

"Hoothoot!" Hoothoot said, eager to use its special power.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said happily.

"Olu!" added Meeko. Suddenly a rope was wrapped around both Pokémon, taking them away.

"Pika, Pika?" asked Pikachu, surprised by the rope.

"Huh!"

"Pikachu!" shouted Ash.

"Meeko!" shouted Jordan.

"Pika!" Pikachu cried out as Ash runs up to get them.

"Pikachu. Meeko." said Ash.

"Cha! Olu!" squealed Pikachu and Meeko.

"Look what we hooked. Ha-ha-ha!" said Team Rocket.

"Oh, no, guess who." said Ash.

"Prepare for trouble, now we win."

"And make it double, we'll reel you in."

"To protect the world from devastation! Ah-haha!"

"Ah! To unite all people within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"Pika!" shouted Pikachu as he, Meeko and Ash were swinging to one side.

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Pika-Pik! Riolu!" said Pikachu and Meeko as Ash was thrown into a tree and slides down.

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket will make an excellent impression!" said Jessie.

"Now that your Pikachu and Riolu are in our possession." said James.

"That's right, put the Pika and Olu in the box and I'll shut it up tight." said Meowth.

"Pika! Riol!" said Pikachu and Meeko as they were thrown in.

"You think maybe this is another illusion?" asked Brock.

"I'm afraid it's the real deal." said Misty as Jordan makes her 120th mark in her notebook.

"Toge!" said Togepi.

"Question: Can I keep that silhouette of my brother?" asked Jordan, taking a closer look at the paper Jessie was holding. "I think that's a good outline of him….so to speak."

"You think so?" asked James.

"Yeah. You can tell by how his face looks." said Jordan.

"Here you go, kid." said Jessie, handing it to her.

"Thanks!" said Jordan, letting it dry for a moment before putting it into her backpack.

"Okay, gimme back my Pikachu and my sister's Riolu." demanded Ash.

"Sorry, Twerp, but we cant give them back because if we did, we wouldn't be doing our job." said Jessie.

"Our job is to rob." said Meowth.

"Hah! Hah!" said Team Rocket, taking off in a boat above ground.

"We got our Pikachu and Riolu!" exclaimed Meowth. "Now its smooth sailing ahead, team!"

"We finally got our lucky break." said Jessie and due to the weight, the rope snaps.

"Uh-oh." said Team Rocket as they fell to the ground. The box carrying Pikachu and Meeko was thrown in the air, causing Ash to catch it.

"Pikachu? Meeko?" asked Ash.

"Pika!" said Pikachu, happy to see Ash.

"Meeko! Riol!" said Jordan and Meeko.

"Pikachu!" said Ash.

"Pika-Pik!" said Pikachu as he and Meeko hopped out of the box.

"I knew I shouldn't have bought that salesman's cheap line." muttered James.

"Well, why did you?" asked Jessie. "Why did you get lassoed by some twine merchant?"

"He got roped in." Meowth chimed in, causing Jessie and James to whine.

"Hoothoot." said Hoothoot, seeing Pikachu and Meeko in Ash and Jordan's arms.

"Pika!" squealed a happy Pikachu.

"Olu." cooed a joyful Meeko.

"We want that Pikachu and Riolu!" said Jessie.

"And that Hoothoot to boot." said Meowth.

"Lets have a battle and Team Rocket will show you what we can really do." said James.

"Ready when you are." said Ash.

"And you know that we'll always beat you." said Jordan.

"Pikachu! Riolu!"

"Get in there, Arbok!" said Jessie.

"Cha! Bok!" shouted Arbok.

"Go ahead and get them, Victreebel!" said James.

"Victree!" screeched Victreebel and goes in for James.

"I said 'Go ahead', not 'Get a head'." said James.

"I choose you, Bulbasaur!" shouted Ash.

"Bulbasaur!"

"Let's go, Raya!" shouted Jordan.

"Dragonair!"

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot, sounding upset.

"Bulba? Dragon?" asked Bulbasaur and Raya, looking over their shoulders.

"Huh? Hoothoot?" asked Ash.

"What's wrong?" asked Misty. The quartet looked up as they hear some rustling.

"Huh?"

"Hey." said James.

"Huh?"

"Hey, look there!" said Jessie, pointing to her right.

"That's Raya's final evolved form." said Jordan.

"We're in luck!" yelled Meowth.

"What would a rare Pokémon like that be doing in the middle of the forest?" asked James. "Besides Baby Twerp's Pokémon, I mean."

"Who cares. Lets get it." said Meowth.

"Quick, Arbok, attack." said Jessie.

"Go get it, Victreebel. Whoa!" said James.

"Chabok!" shouted Arbok as it and Victreebel goes after Dragonite. "Chabok!"

Arbok dives at Dragonite, who dodges it and Victreebel. "Nite." said Dragonite, flying away from Team Rocket.

"Wait, come back!" said Jessie.

"Don't go!" said Meowth.

"Please!" Jessie begged.

"We want to be friends!" said James.

"Stay!" ordered Jessie.

"Stay with us!" demanded James. "We need you."

"Come on!" Jessie said to Dragonite. "We want you to meet our boss!"

"Whats the bog rush, buddy?" asked Meowth.

"We're not gonna hurt you." added Jessie as she, James and Meowth continued to run after Dragonite.

"What's up with them?" asked Ash.

"Maybe they're seeing things like we were." said Brock.

"Maybe." said Ash.

"At least they're giving us a Pika break." said Jordan.

"Pikachu." said Pikachu, nodding in agreement.

"Riolu." added Meeko. Out of nowhere, there where illusions of Ash, surrounding them.

"Another illusion." said Misty. "They all look real."

"Yeah, but which one's the real Ash?" asked Brock.

"I'm the real one!" said one Ash.

"Don't believe them!" said another Ash as every single one talked over each other.

"Hey Ash!" shouted Jordan, then winks at Misty, Brock and Pikachu. "Gary's gonna beat you at the Johto League!"

"No! I'm gonna beat him!" said every single Ash.

"Huh…I thought that would work." said Jordan.

"At least you tried." said Misty.

"Pika!" said Pikachu, becoming distressed.

"Pikachu, don't you know me?" asked one Ash.

"I'm the real one, Pikachu." said another Ash.

"Don't you recognize me?" asked every Ash, making Pikachu even more upset as they all talked over each other.

"Pika-Pik! Use Thunderbolt!" said Jordan.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu nodded, creating sparks from his cheeks as Brock, Misty, Jordan, Meeko, Bulbasaur, Raya and Hoothoot ran for cover. "Pika…chu!"

All of the Ash's screamed, feeling Pikachu's Thunderbolt, poofing away the illusions, leaving the real one behind. "You finally got me, Pikachu." said Ash. "Smart thinking, Jordan."

"I know, I love you too." said Jordan when Misty suddenly screams.

"Misty!" shouted Ash.

Misty sat on the ground, surrounded by Bug type Pokémon. "Misty, it's just another illusion." said Brock.

"It feels real to me." said Misty as the bug type Pokémon aggressively ran at her.

"Hoothoot!" said a panicked Hoothoot, running away.

"Hoothoot!" said Ash as it ran past him. "So you're just gonna run away? You should be ashamed of yourself. We need you!"

Hoothoot looked down in shame, knowing that Ash was right. "You're the only one who can help Misty." said Ash. Hoothoot looked past Ash and sees Misty screaming at her fear. "And she's the one besides Jordan who believes in you."

"Hoot…Hoot." said Hoothoot, determined to help Misty and used its hidden ability. "Hoot! Hoothoot!"

The bug Pokémon surrounding Misty disappeared. "Hoothoot saw right through them!" said Brock.

"It sure did." said Ash.

"Pika!" said Pikachu.

"Go Hoothoot!" said Jordan.

"Riol!" said Meeko.

"Hoot!" said Hoothoot, spinning around the forest and revealing a group of Haunter and Gengar.

"Look, it s Haunter and Gengar." said Ash.

"We're surrounded." said Brock.

"You know, Ash, there's a few words I want to say to these Haunter and Gengar, but I can't say them because they're not appropriate for younger people's ears." said Jordan.

"Plus, you're not allowed to say them, let alone hear them." added Ash.

Haunter's and Gengar's eyes glowed blue, creating a haze around the quartet. "Hey, guys." said Ash.

"Haunter and Gengar are the ones who've been creating those illusions." said Brock.

"Hoothoot, help us!" Misty called out.

"Hoothoot!" shouted Hoothoot, using its eyes on Haunter and Gengar.

"Bulbasaur, Vine Whip now!" shouted Ash.

"Raya, Thunder Wave!" shouted Jordan.

"Bulba!" shouted Bulbasaur, using Vine Whip as Raya sends out Thunder Wave, knocking Haunter and Gengar out of the trees.

"Alright, Pikachu Thunderbolt them!" said Ash.

"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, releasing a strong Thunderbolt on the ghost Pokémon, scaring them as they flee the forest, frightened.

"Bye-bye." said Brock.

"If you see Team Rocket, scare them for us!" Jordan called out.

"Togeprii!" said Togepi.

"You see, Misty, I finally trained Hoothoot to listen to me." said Ash.

"Yeah!" said Misty.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot as Ash picks it up.

"Way to go, Hoothoot." said Ash, praising the young owl. "I'm sorry if I was rough on you."

Instead of thanking Ash, Hoothoot pecks Ash hard on the head. "Yeah…I'm not letting him train my Hoothoot." said Jordan.

"We were thinking the same thing." said Misty.

"Never let him go near it." said Brock.

"Riolu." said Meeko.

"Ow! Huh?"

"Hoothoot may gave been listening to Ash but I think it was doing it because it likes me." said Misty, scratching its head. "Right, Hoothoot?"

"Hoothoot!"

The sun rose into the sky as the quartet were back at the stone gate. "Really? You've got to be kidding me?" asked Jordan.

"We're back." said Ash.

"Maybe its another illusion." said Misty.

"Look!" said Brock as Hagatha walks towards them.

"That's no illusion, that's Hagatha." said Ash.

"I am not Hagatha!" the woman shouted. "I'm Nagatha, her twin sister!"

"Aah!" shouted the boys.

"Your twin?" asked Brock.

"Yes. But people don't believe it because I'm so much more beautiful." said Nagatha.

"Well, I see you made it out of the woods." said Hagatha.

"Yes, ma'am, it was tough but thanks to me, we're all okay." said Ash.

"I helped. Just a little." said Misty, then looks down at Hoothoot. "Right, Hoothoot?"

"Hoothoot." it said happily.

"I'm just glad to be out of that forest." said Jordan as her newly nicknamed Hoothoot, Raven was sitting on her shoulder.

Narrator: Luckily for our heroes, Hoothoot saw through the illusions and guided them safely through the forest.

Jordan: And I caught a Hoothoot that we named Raven.

Meeko: Riolu.

Narrator: That's right. And now, as they head for the Johto League they have no illusions about the challenges that lie ahead.

"Isn't this great?" Jessie asked James. "It's just like a dream."

"It's almost unreal." replied James.

"And the best part of all is we're out of that forest." said Meowth.

Team Rocket giggles, unknowing that in reality, Gengar and Haunter made their illusion.
