Hey :P I'm back for my usual Wednesday upload. I wrote this a few days ago and I hope you like it :3 It is kinda based off mainly The Little Mermaid with a bit of the Notebook and Frozen in it. I own none of these movies, of course :P Hope you like :3

It was a beautiful day on the Lake of Pallet Town. The sun was shining through the trees and the Ducklett and Swanna had stopped for a swim on their way back home to Unova. I was perched on Squirtles back as he bobbed in the clear water, just enjoying the early spring day. Today wasn't just an ordinary day.

Since I had found out about Ash and Misty's new relationship, he had been much more open with me about Misty and allowed me to come on their first official date. I was sure to keep my distance but couldn't help but be close enough to hear what they were saying. No doubt Ash was nervous, which is why he let me tag along.

"It sure is beautiful here, Ash…" Misty smiled and attempted to make small talk at my best friend who hadn't spoken since they rented the boat and began rowing. The silence made my assumptions correct; he was nervous.

"I know…" he cleared his throat before bearing a sheepish grin at his new girlfriend and pointing at the distance. "And down that waterfall is where you fished me out, the day we first met…"

The raven haired male's words were followed by slight fond giggling before the silence returned once again. I noticed the orange haired female was glancing hopefully at her boyfriend. I wonder what she was thinking. Perhaps she was waiting him to compliment her outfit? It was obvious she'd made an effort to capture his heart once again, judging by the light blue dress and matching bow in her flowing locks.

"Hey Ashy?"

Both Ash and I glanced up, our eyes wide with intrigue. I whispered to Squirtle to creep nearer as I noticed a pink blush had begun to creep over Misty's pale face.

"Yeah, Mist?"

I couldn't help but smile slightly at the scene before trying not to look at them and pretending to be having a sunbathe in the water. They sure were adorable when they called each other by their nicknames.

"Um…" Misty hesitated and looked down at the floor of the boat before looking up at him, her cheeks even more rosy and a slight pout on her face. "When are you going to kiss me?"

Upon hearing this, Ash's tanned face grew pale before his too was taken over by a rosy blush. Both Squirtle and I glanced at each other and laughed inwardly as the male nearly dropped his oars in shock.

"O-Oh…" the blush streaked further across his face before he let out his trademark husky laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've wanted to kiss you for a long time… I just wasn't sure if you liked me enough…"

I watched as Misty moved closer to him, a smile on her face. I knew she adored how unsure and shy he was when it came to his new relationship with her.

"I wanted to kiss you too, I just wasn't sure if you liked me enough too…" she admitted sheepishly before pressing a quick kiss to her cheek.

I grinned inwardly. They had been giving cheek kisses but now it was time for their first real kiss.

"Well in that case…" Ash put his oars in their holders after manoeuvring them over to a safe spot and sliding onto the boat bench next to her. "I'd like to kiss you now… We me? I-I mean may we?"

I watched as Ash's blush grew even deeper but Misty didn't seem fazed by his mix up of words and held onto his hands, smiling and leaning closer to him.

"We may…"

That was all she uttered as both of them closed their eyes and leaned into the kiss. I knew I should look away but I just couldn't. I was captured by the moment and my heart was racing just as much as I knew theirs were.

Ash and Misty's lips were about to meet when suddenly the boat capsized, tossing them both into the water. I giggled from the pond side as they broke the surface, Ducklett and Swanna flying up into the air with shock.

"Aw crap…" I could tell Ash was kicking himself for messing up their first kiss but he glanced over to where Misty was. When he saw she was laughing, he swam over to her and cupped her face in his hands.

"Now, where were we?"

At this, I am disappointed to say that Squirtle tugged me away from the scene to give them some privacy but I knew that was the right thing to do.

Ash and Misty had waited long enough but they were finally getting their first kiss together. But, I knew very well, that good things came to those who waited. Go on Ash, go on and kiss the girl.
