I sat on the kitchen table licking my paws. So much had happened recently it was so much to comprehend. Ash had finished travelling and now had his own Battle Facility in Pallet Town and was Frontier Master of it, Jessie and James had quit Team Rocket for good and now were pretty good friends with us. Not to mention, Ash and Misty had finally gotten together a few months ago but I only just found out because they hid it from me. I consider myself quite a love expert and that I had a big part in them getting together. I mean, I had dropped hints of them being an item since they were ten years old! It had to be partly due to me that they were together. Just call me a love expert.
Now that most of our friends had paired up without my help, I was bored. Jessie and James partnered up a long time ago without my assistance and only recently did May and Tracey. They didn't ask for my help either! I sighed, stopping licking my hands and glancing at the dark skinned female who was sitting on the counter while Cilan cooked. Ah yes, it was time for the love expert to sort things out.
Jumping down from the kitchen table, I leaped onto her lap, letting out a squeak as I bounded on. As I was nearer, the sparkle in her eye that was aimed for the green haired male became ever more noticeable. They were so into each other.
"Oh hey Pikachu…" Iris smiled but didn't tear her eyes away from the male. That was strange. Normally she blushed and became very flustered if I caught her staring at her secret but obvious crush.
Seeing I was getting no luck from her, I darted across the other, jumping onto Cilan's shoulder where he was taking a cake out of the oven.
"Well hello there Pikachu, is there something I can do for you?"
The green haired male was extremely good with pokemon and could always tell if I was in distress or needed something. He was one of Ash's best friends and mine too.
I tilted my head and him and smirked. Iris is so into you.
I watched as a blush took over his pale face, his mouth twitching into a small smile. I was expecting him to laugh it off. How very odd.
"You think so?" Cilan rubbed the back of his neck, giving me a sideways glance. "I don't know, she's quite a few years younger than me… And even if I did like her and she liked me, things wouldn't happen between us…"
I frowned as he suddenly laughed again sort of frantically and played with the tufts on his head.
"You know that, right?"
Sighing, I slid off his shoulder and back on the floor. Of course I knew it. I knew they were stupid enough to let age and the fact that they were friends get in the way of them being together.
I excused myself and went back into the Striaton Restaurant, disappearing out of sight. How stupid of me. I missed what was about to happen.
Iris walked up to the green haired gentleman, wrapping her arms around his neck. Ash told me later what happened when I went away and apparently Cilan snuck his own arms around her waist.
"What was all that about?"
Cilan laughed quietly, looking deep into his secret girlfriend's soil coloured orbs.
"Pikachu was hinting that you are into me… Wow, I did not know that." He smirked, pressing a quick kiss to Iris' lips. "He's so funny, ever since he found out about Ash and Misty, he thinks he's some sort of love expert. The pokemon version of cupid, as it were."
Iris laughed, turning her head in my direction where I was being distracted by Misty with a bottle of ketchup.
"Oh dear. If it's possible, I think he's even more of a little kid than Ash!"
