Hey :P It's Father's Day today (in the UK anyway) so I wrote this little oneshot :3 It's really really short but I'm kinda pleased with how it came out. I hope you enjoy :3

Ages:

Ash: 20

Misty: 20

Katie: 4 months

James: 27

Jazmyn: 6

Gary: 21

Melissa: 11 months

I couldn't help but smile as I looked around the living room of Delia Ketchum's house in Pallet Town. It was a gorgeous June day and the pale blue sky was vertically cloudless and the Kanto sun was pounding down on the window sills. It seemed the sun was shining for a very special reason. Today was Father's Day.

I cracked my eyes open a little more, feeling the sun's warmth spread over my back and glanced at the people in front of me.

James was sat with his youngest daughter on his lap, plaiting her deep purple hair. You could see the love in the ex-villains eyes as Jazmyn turned to smile at him, holding onto her strong father's arms.

My eyes then glanced over to where my best friend was sitting with his own daughter, watching his wife engage in a Pokemon gym battle on the TV. Like James, Ash's brown orbs were filled with love as he glanced between Katie and Misty's face on the screen. I know his heart was thumping with love due to the fact his daughter and wife looked so very similar.

Finally, I glanced out the window to where Gary Oak was sat on the grass of the front lawn. In one arm he held his infant daughter while in the other he drew cartoon versions of Pokemon and pokeballs for Melissa to see. It was heart-warming to see such an arrogant boy had turned into a gentle and loving father, all these years later.

I sighed, snuggling back on the armchair to enjoy the summer sun and the endearing scene before me. I knew all Ash, James and Gary didn't have a good relationship with their fathers nor barely had one around growing up. Despite that, they had moved on from their own losses and become wonderful fathers themselves to their daughters and of course sons as well. I shut my eyes, sighing contentedly. It was true what they said. A father is really a daughter's first and one true love.

The End.

There you go, thanks a lot for reading. I hope you enjoyed :3 So yeah Happy Father's Day to all the awesome dad's around the world 3 This story focuses on father's and their daughters but obviously dad's are important for their sons and daughters :P Thanks again and I should be back next Wednesday :P
