Hey :P It's Wednesday so it's time for my weekly upload. I got the idea for this a few days ago and actually wrote it a couple hours ago :P Hope you guys enjoy!

Misty: 20

"Where's Katie? There she is! Where's Katie? There she is!"

I watched the lavender haired male known as James play peekaboo with Ash and Misty's baby daughter with a smile on my face. It intrigued me how content she was and how many laughs escaped the infant's lips at such a simple game. It was adorable nonetheless.

Ash was sick with an early autumn cold and off work. It killed him that he couldn't go near Katie in case he risked infecting her but he still liked to be near them and watch his twins in their daily lives.

James held up his leather jacket in front of the infant before pulling it away again so she could see her godfather's face. When Katie let out an excited shriek, he put the clothing down and began playing with her hands.

"She's just the cutest thing ever…" he smiled at the little girl before turning to Ash with a smirk. "How is she yours again?"

Ash sat up and stroked by back while I sat on his lap and he spoke in a husky voice due to his flu symptoms.

"She's all Mist so she's completely gorgeous."

James just let out an "mm" in response, not wanting to agree nor disagree. Either way, his answer was sure to irritate Ash.

"I hope Ben hasn't somehow caught my cold… He was pretty fussy before Misty took him upstairs to calm down." Ash glanced to the ceiling where he could hear his baby son gently wailing and his girlfriend trying to comfort him.

With Ash sick, this meant Misty had to take care of the young babies by herself. That's why James had been called in. The raven haired male objected at first but Misty won him over in the end. She always did.

"Ben's fine…" James muttered; too busy helping his goddaughter bounce in her baby bouncer to give Ash some proper reassurance. "Aww, look at your smile, cutie."

All eyes went on Katie as she bobbed up and down in her chair with a toothless grin on her face. Her face soon turned to discomfort and she hiccupped and spit up all over herself.

"My baby!" Ash cried, shooting up so fast I bounced off his stomach and onto the other end of the sofa.

James rolled his eyes, still finding Ash's overprotectiveness with his children pathetic. Even know the lavender haired man was exactly the same as Ash. Maybe that's why they often fought. They had the same intentions of being a good father and husband/girlfriend to their ladies. They were more similar than they realised.

"She's fine, she just spit up…" he stroked Katie's hair to stop her wailing before reaching for the tissues. "Ugh Ash, did you use them all?"

In response, Ash pulled a sheepish face and settled back down, helping me back onto his lap. I saw James pull an unamused face, showing that he was already so done with his actions.

"Where are the burping cloths then?" the green orbed male asked, picking a still fussing Katie out of her chair and holding her close.

Ash just shrugged in response before coughing and holding one of his old tissues over his mouth to stop spreading his infection.

James sighed, looking down at the infant who was trying to nuzzle into his chest.

"She's trying to rub it on me, this is my best shirt!" he moved the baby girl away from him before getting an idea. "What about a hankie? Do you have a clean hankie?"

I frowned as Ash sat bold upright again, pushing something further into his pocket and answered quickly.

"No, no hankie's on me!"

The lavender haired male put Katie back in her seat, still grizzling from her onesie being covered old milk. He moved quickly over to Ash, running a hand through his hair.

"No hankies, huh…?" he muttered before reaching Ash's pocket and tugging one out. "Ash Ketchum, you shouldn't lie in front of your daughter."

James smirked, going to wipe Katie's mouth with the red and yellow handkerchief. Before he could reach her mouth however, Ash leapt into action and jumped up, snatching it from him. Once again I was thrown halfway across the room. Damn, I couldn't catch a break.

"Jeez Ash, why so protective over a handkerchief? It's not a person." James pulled a highly confused face before finally deciding to wipe Katie's mouth with his favourite t shirt.

"It may not be a person but its super special to me…" Ash pouted before holding the hankie in front of his face, his chocolate orbs being filled with so many memories. "This is the hankie Misty gave to me the day she had to leave me. I used to wrap the Mini Misty lure in it to keep it safe in my pocket. There are hundreds of memories from it, like how it dried my eyes when I suffered a bad loss and soothed cuts and scrapes when I got injured. So, James, it's not just a hankie. It's the first present I got from her and will always be my favourite thing ever."

Ash looked away from staring at the bit of material before glancing over at James with such emotion in his eyes. James frowned, nibbling his lip at Ash.

"I'm sorry, man, I had no idea…" he watched as the raven haired male sighed and put it back in his pocket before smirking at him again. "I'm kidding; Misty told me all about that thing. I just wanted to see you flip out."

I laughed as Ash blushed a deep red and threw a pillow at the man's head while James just laughed so hard. Katie was amused by their antics and so was I.

Even though James teased Ash and Misty more times than any of us could count, I knew that deep down he cared for relationship as much as they did. He didn't want anyone else messing up what he knew was true love. Despite the fact that once upon a time, he himself came between them, he knew that nothing was stopping them now. Relationship were good. And so were red and yellow hankies. Though they must never be used to clear up a baby's spit up.
