Hello :P It's PokeShipping day today so like I said I would, I'm uploading a story. This isn't based on any of the themes for PokeShipping week, just something I wrote after a conversation with my TT :3 I hope you enjoy!
Ages:
Ash: 16
Misty: 16
Clemont: 16
Bonnie: 11
Disclaimer: I own only the story :P
"Oh Ash, you've got Bolognese sauce all over your mouth!" Bonnie giggled at the older male, causing me to look up from my own meal.
I glanced over at my best friend and saw that indeed, his lips and all around his mouth were covered in a thick orange sauce that glistened in the evening light. We had finished our journey through Kalos and Ash was currently heading back to our hometown of Kanto with Clemont and Bonnie. As much as she wished she could go, Serena had decided to stay back in Kalos to continue pursuing her dream.
Ash laughed sheepishly, about to wipe his mouth on his arm when Clemont stopped him.
"No, Ash, we're in a fancy restaurant!" Clemont grabbed his friend's arm before it could be stained with an orange tinge, a look of despair on his face.
The raven haired male glanced around at the room full of people in the dining room of the cruise ship, understanding his actions would have been inappropriate.
"Hold on…" Ash muttered, looking around for his serviette and almost knocking his plate of spaghetti bolognese onto the floor in the process.
Before he could cause any more damage, Bonnie stood up and rushed over to where Ash's backpack was on the floor.
"It's okay, Ash, I got it…" she grinned at him as she unzipped his bag.
Ash gave her a grateful smile and swallowed his mouthful before directing her.
"There should be a pack of tissues in there somewhere, Bonnie."
I smiled at our group, a look of fondness in my eyes. Ash and I always prided ourselves in the fact that we could make friends with almost anyone. Both Clemont and Bonnie were very different from each other and ourselves but we made quite a good team.
After rummaging in Ash's backpack for a few moments, the blonde haired female produced something in her hands."
"Ta da!" she squealed before looking down and realising what she held wasn't a bundle of tissues. Her blue eyes grew wide in confusion as she held up a red and yellow hankie which was wrapped around a plastic figure.
"What on earth is this?"
Ash stopped conversing with Clemont to look over at Bonnie. He jumped away from the table to claim the object for himself when he saw she had found his prize possession.
He didn't say anything but pouted, holding it protectively.
The red and yellow hanky moved away from the object slightly, revealing its identity.
"Ash, why do you have a plastic figure of that girl who came to visit you?" Clemont asked the blushing male, pushing his glasses further up his nose.
I smirked as Ash settled back down in his seat but still held onto his little treasure protectively. He cared just as much about that thing as he did me, and that's saying something!
"It's not a plastic figure, it's a lure. She's my Mini Misty."
Clemont and Bonnie glanced at each other in confusion, not quite satisfied with the explanation. The blonde male was too shy to ask so instead, Bonnie piped up.
"We know it's Misty but why do you have it? Isn't it a bit weird carrying a lure of your friend?"
Ash hesitated before sighing and looking right at me. I glanced into my best friend's chocolate orbs. I knew the look in his eye. It was time for all to be revealed.
"I wasn't going to tell you until I got to Kanto but I guess since you bought it up, I guess I have no choice. " the raven haired male looked down at the lure before glancing between Bonnie, Clemont and myself. "Well Misty gave me this when I just couldn't beat the Battle Pyramid and needed some luck. I treasured it a lot back then but I do even more now because she's my girlfriend."
Clemont gasped at this, his glasses steaming up slightly from the shock. He cleaned them embarrassedly before meeting my gaze and nodding his head. I knew he had suspected something between Ash and Misty. And he was right.
Bonnie wasn't as quiet as her brother and clasped her hands under her chin, staring at Ash.
"We know how you met but how long have you been together?"
Ash looked at me before back at the younger girl, rubbing the back of his neck somewhat sheepishly. I was the only one who knew that he was dating Misty as they planned on telling when he returned from Kalos.
"Well we told each other how we felt after I got back from Sinnoh and before I went to Unova but we've been officially boyfriend and girlfriend since she came to see us in Kalos."
Bonnie let out a happy sigh for Ash, her eyelashes fluttering slightly. She had been trying to pair her brother up with someone for the whole of our journey so it was obvious she had a soft spot for romance.
"You're so lucky, Ash!" she smiled, watching Ash stroking the cheek of his Mini Misty lure. "She's smart and pretty and strong and a gym leader no less!"
Ash smiled when Clemont gave him a nod of his head, clearly agreeing with his sister for once. The chocolate orbed male grinned when his eyes met Bonnie's.
"I sure am lucky, Bonnie." He paused to look at his lure again before laughing and glancing between us all. "As Bonnie would say, Misty's a keeper!"
While everybody laughed at Ash's unusually smart comment, I glanced at Mini Misty myself, a smile taking over my face. Misty sure was a keeper and the perfect girlfriend for Ash. She was smart, like Bonnie said and also independent. She didn't let Ash get away with being too cocky or acting in an unkind or ungrateful way. She was smart and witty while Ash was rash and dense. They were as different as night and day or chalk and cheese. But they were Ash and Misty; they were perfect together and I was so happy they had finally come together as one.
The End.
There you go! Thanks a lot for reading, I hope you enjoyed :3 So yeah, I'll be back next Wednesday as usual for another chapter of this story. Thanks again!
