Hey :P I had this all ready to upload yesterday then completely forgot to do it before I went to bed so here it is now. It's a firework night one and I know that was a while ago now but I couldn't upload last week because I uploaded my PokeShipping week one instead :P I hope you enjoy :3

Disclaimer: I own only the story :P

I was sitting in the conservatory of the Ketchum family home and I looked around at the sights around me. I couldn't help but smile. Ash, Misty and all of our friends always made a big deal out of special occasions, whether it was a birthday, Christmas or Halloween. Everybody's birthdays and Halloween had come and gone. Christmas was still over a month away so that of course meant today was Firework night and all of our friends were there. I could see Ash desperately trying to keep Ben away from the pile of fireworks while Misty comforted Katie who was in fear of her brother's life. Both Jessie and James were desperately trying to keep their children and their sparklers away from their hair. Those two families were the worst, everyone else was just happy to be there and waiting patiently for the show to begin.

I looked up from glancing around at my loved ones to see Delia enter the room, holding baby James in her arms. A frown took over my face as I saw the little boy was bawling his eyes out.

"Pikachu, would you be a dear and look after him? I was hoping to go outside and enjoy the fireworks but I don't want him to be alone upstairs in case they scare him."

I nodded and smiled, letting Ash's mother place the chestnut haired baby on the wicker arm chair next to me. I simply adored all of Ash's children but their latest edition to the family sure was a cutie. He didn't have the same hair as his mother exactly; it was slightly different because of his father's dark locks. He had piercing green orbs belonging to Misty's deceased father and he was named after James who had the same time and also meant a lot to Misty and her husband.

When Delia left to go outside, I thought I'd prepare the little boy for what was about to happen.

Now, little James, there's going to be some loud noises in a minute but they won't hurt you. I won't let anything hurt you.

The green orbed little boy stopped crying for a few moments upon hearing the cooing upon my voice. The room was once again filled with his sobs, however, when I disappeared out of sight to shut the conservatory doors. I couldn't help but smile slightly as once I reappeared, James' cries died down. He had always been fond of me, since birth. All Ash's children were but he sparked an interest when he was only a few days old.

This is your first Firework night and it's going to be the first of many. Some you'll spend here and some you'll be away on a journey. It's something to be excited about, little James, not scared.

Upon hearing these words, I'm sad to say that he began crying again. I nibbled my lip, giving him one of my ears to cuddle with to calm down. If he cried at the mere mention of fireworks, I was slightly terrified of how he was going to react to the real thing.

I began to get even more nervous as I heard everyone count down outside. Not long now until poor little James was going to get the shock of his short little life.

Cuddling nearer to him, I nuzzled him protectively. I wish someone was around to help me out. I couldn't exactly pick up the delicate baby.

Before I could pull him any closer to me, suddenly a rocket fired into the air before exploding in the sky. I was filled with confusion as I didn't hear a cry, rather a laugh. I glanced at James as dozens of fireworks combusted in the sky, each one causing the baby to giggle. I was highly confused and slightly worried at first but my heart melted as I saw the look on his face. He had only just begun smiling and laughing a few weeks ago so it was still new to him and obviously quite a lot of effort. Once the display was over, I noticed his laughs had come to an end. The reason for this was because after all the excitement and laughter, little James had fallen asleep curled up next to me.

I smiled at the little boy, nuzzling into him once again. From an early age, it was obvious that baby James was a perfect mix of both his parents. Neither Ash nor Misty had a fascination with fireworks so I wondered where he inherited it from. I was curious to see whether this would lead to something in the future. Maybe he would swing the complete opposite way to his mother and adore fire and fire type pokemon. Who knows? The only thing all of us knew was that I adored him either way.

The End.

There you go, thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed :3 So yeah, last year I wrote Ben being a little scared of fireworks so I wanted them to have the opposite effect on James :P Thanks again for reading and I will be back next week as usual :3
