Hey :P So it's Wednesday and that means my weekly upload. This one I wrote about two months ago and it's kind of a sequel to the one I wrote where the twins and Pikachu prank Gary :P I hope you enjoy, it's just a bit of fun :3
Disclaimer: I own only the story :3
"Uncle Gary and Pikachu, what are you doing?"
The spiky haired male and I looked up from our current activity of raking up the leaves on the floor of Professor Oak's laboratory to look at Ben and Katie who both had questioning eyes. While Benjamin looked dumbfounded at our actions, Katie chose to continue speaking.
"Why are you picking all the leaves up?"
Gary continued piling the dead leaves into the bag for a few seconds before standing back up, wiping his brow.
"Because the floor doesn't look very nice covered in brown and dying leaves, does it?"
The orange haired little girl contemplated before crossing her arms at her other Uncle and most cocky by far of the group.
"Well I think it makes it look all pretty, like the grass is covered in chocolate."
"You would…" Gary muttered as he piled the bag high with even more decaying leaves. I glanced over at him and smirked. I knew he was beginning to grow weary of his niece saying the exact opposite of what he was thinking.
The reason the twins and I were with Gary and his grandfather at the older man's lab on his crisp autumn day was that Ash and Misty were taking their other two children to the doctor's for a check-up. Jessie and James had been busy and so couldn't babysit as usual. The task was up to Gary. The two had proven easy and the spiky haired male and I even had the opportunity to tidy up the lawns while they were with the elder Professor Oak. They had obviously gotten bored and so came to hassle us. I didn't mind.
"Ugh, Ben! Why did you kick the bags over?"
I looked back from smiling at Katie to see that indeed Ben had clumsily knocked over the contents of the bags. The leaves were now piled on the grass once again and Katie squealed with delight.
"Sorry, Uncle Gary, I didn't mean to…" the little boy's brown orbs grew wide with guilt as he saw the look of frustration on his face. Gary's face soon softened as he soon saw that his nephew's actions were by complete accident. Benjamin was just like his father and couldn't stand anyone being upset or disappointed in him for a single second.
Gary bent down to the child's level and wrapped a friendly arm around him.
"Don't worry, buddy. You've given me an idea actually…" the spiky haired male smirked and stood back up, beginning to separate the giant pile of leaves into four smaller ones. What on earth was he up to?
Once Gary had made four quite large piles with the extra leaves on the lawn, he stood back proudly and pretended to wipe a tear from his eye.
"What did you do that for, Uncle Gary?"
Katie, of course, had to question what the auburn haired male was doing. She liked to know everything about everyone. She wasn't nosy, she was very curious about people, pokemon and most other things.
"I'm going to teach you a little trick…" Gary mumbled and began to bury himself in the leaves. "Pikachu, help cover me up."
As soon as I heard my name and his command, I sprung into action. I knew exactly what he was doing; after all I had been his friend many years and known him even longer. This was typical Gary.
After a few minutes of hard work, I finally covered the older male up so he was completely swamped in leaves, with just a tiny head showing. Ben and Katie found his antics hilarious and of course copied him. Soon, all four of us were buried in leaves with only our heads showing.
We laughed and glanced at each other for a few minutes before the laughter died down and Ben asked a question for once.
"What do we do now?"
Gary smirked, shutting his eyes briefly in satisfaction.
"This is the perfect payback to get your daddy back for laughing when you guys spooked me with that ghost in my room a few weeks back."
The twins giggled at each other mischievously in remembrance, the leaves rustling slightly as their shoulders shook with the laughter.
"Your father will be back soon and we're all going to scare him."
After Gary explained what we were going to do, we all nodded and covered our faces with leaves too. Trying to keep the twins quiet so Ash didn't hear them was hard but soon enough, when they heard the gate creak open, they shut their mouths.
"Hello?" Ash called as he walked up the path. "I thought I heard voices, is someone there?"
On cue, Gary burst his head out of the leaves. The twins and I were delayed slightly but we did the same a few seconds after.
Ash was not expecting this at all and tripped up with the shock, almost falling on top of Gary's head.
"Oh my god!" he breathed, clutching his heart with the shock while the rest of us just laughed and laughed. "Gary, aren't you meant to be the mature one of us?"
Gary just smirked and high fived the twins and I who were completely satisfied with Ash's reaction.
"If you think I'm mature, you must not know me at all."
I grinned to myself, glancing at the pair of grown men. They had grown up together as childhood friends but still weren't really grown-ups. Sure, they had professional jobs and families of their own but still enjoyed a good childish prank. I think that's a good example to their children. People simply get older and they never really have to grow up, not if they don't want to.
The End.
There you go, thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed :3 So yeah I'll be back next week as usual. The rest of my updates this month will be kinda Christmassy seeing as it's that time of the year :P See you soon!
