Hello :P It is Wednesday and I am back with a new update. I think I would have been nervous even a few months ago at uploading something like this but it's definitely something - or some characters and their relationship - that is very dear to me. I have written about James and Lynne before but not like this. I've written them subtly and really with the idea in mind of how they were when they first met. I've said before that they get close and the truth is, they get very close. They fall in love with each other but James remains with Jessie and Lynne with Jordan. They do, however, end up getting intimate with one and other when they take breaks from their true partners for whatever reasons and one of the times ends up with a child. So this is an introduction to what James and Lynne are like on a daily basis once they are falling for each other and it's something that is open to Jessie and Jordan and everyone. So I hope you enjoy :P

Disclaimer: I own Lynne with AAML-TAML :3

I shut my eyes blissfully and allowed the gentle breeze to carry my head back with it, the warm Kanto sun making my cheek pouches tingle delightedly. Relaxed wasn't even the word to describe how I felt in those moments. I was more than relaxed. I was more than serene. I was more than happy. I was way beyond happy. My eyelids crept slowly open to look at the other person I was sharing the sailing boat with.

There was James. His lavender locks tousled from the wind as the sail boat moved along and the shade of his hair being lightened by the sun. His eyes were closed contentedly and although his brow was furrowed slightly, I knew he was peaceful. He was wearing a white casual shirt with it buttoned halfway down so as the sun beat down on his body, his skin was flushed rose pink. As I smiled to myself, I turned to study Lynne who was in charge of sailing the boat.

Her eyes were narrowed softly in concentration as she did what she had to do to make the boat sail along smoothly but her irises were calmer than I had ever seen before. The blue of them matched the Kanto Ocean. They were as gentle as the sea but behind them was a light that showed she was home when she was by the sea. She was home now she was on earth. She was home when she was in great company.

I shut my eyes and just listened to Lynne's gentle voice as she moved away from the wheel and just let the boat be carried away in whatever direction it felt like and moved next to James. I knew his eyelids would open when he felt her body nearer to his.

"Thank you for doing this with me." She spoke to him simply and with a smile, brushing her radiant orange locks out of her eyes and flipping the length of her hair over one of her shoulders as she began to comb it with her fingers.

I opened just one eye to watch how James would act towards his best friend's mother, their voices feeling so far off yet near at the same time as I relaxed so fully. I felt as though only one half of my brain was switched on. The other half was in paradise.

The lavender haired male gave Lynne and gentle smile and sat further up from being on his back and propping himself up with his elbows, his eyes meeting hers.

"Why would I not be doing this with you?"

The orange haired woman shrugged and hummed lightly to herself in response before shutting her eyes and enjoying the warm sun for just a few moments. After that she crinkled her nose and gave James a smile, shrugging once again.

"I don't know. You seem to have lots of interests and lots of different things you enjoy doing yet you chose to do this today with me."

James smiled shyly upon hearing this and pushed his hair out of his eyes as he looked down, squinting slightly in that sheepish way he often did. As he looked back from his lap to the beautiful female, he copied her shrug but gave her a sincere smile.

"Because you asked me to." He replied simply, his green orbs not looking away from her as he spoke to her. "You asked me to do this with you, so of course I said yes."

I smiled gently to myself as I noticed Lynne nodded upon hearing this before blushing, pushing her own hair out of her eyes as she looked down. Those two were very shy souls at their core but they were also very charismatic. They were smart yet they were innocent and they were amazing yet modest. They were definitely meant to meet.

Snapping out of my thoughts of those similar souls, my eyes noticed James beginning to blush slightly himself although I could tell his own eyes were trying to work out if she was blushing or it was just the heat getting to her. He shrugged to himself and played with his strand, giving her another smile as he spoke to her once more.

"I always thought it was Jordan who was more the sailor out of you two. After all, he was in the navy and all that." He uttered to her before looking down at his hands when he felt her eyes back on him. "I'm impressed. Two talented sailors in the family. It really is no wonder that Misty was so ecstatic to inherit your first boat off you."

If Lynne's expression wasn't softened already before from talking to James, it most definitely was now at the mention of her dear life partner and their red headed daughter. That was another thing about James and Lynne. They both adored their families. As we all do, of course, but they really did and do seem to go the extra mile for theirs.

The orange haired woman got gently distracted upon seeing James' smile so that she didn't know which part of what he said she should respond to. She continued looking at his soft features as she had a go.

"I didn't have a clue about anything water themed before Jordan." She admitted, showing off her own squint like James had done before as the sun got into her ocean blue orbs. "But I guess that's what happens when you're in love. You inadvertently get good at something your other half loves. It's their dream so it automatically becomes your dream too."

Lynne trailed off to notice that James' expression was slowly changing and her eyes looked up from his chest back up to his face to see if she could figure out for herself what he was thinking. It was amazing when her soft ocean blue orbs met his peaceful meadow ones. They both had such a spark and such depth behind their eyes. Although of course they looked completely different in themselves, their eyes were the same. They were gentle and they were inquisitive and they were deep and they were pure. Their eyes showed who they truly were inside and how much they felt a connection with each other.

Like Lynne, I was noticing James' expression changing as each second passed as he reflected on what she just said. When she realised she couldn't exactly decipher it, she pouted slightly before showing off her innocent smile, casually moving closer to him so her hand was near his thigh.

"Haven't you experienced that too?" she gently prompted before clarifying what she meant along with that sweet smile of hers. "When you're so in love that someone else's dreams and passions become yours too? You must be good at something because Jessie is too?"

Although James' expression had been thoughtful before, it was softening rapidly at Lynne asking many questions like she normally did and melting even more at the lady he loved talking about the lady he shared his life with. After laughing lovingly, he nodded his head, his fingers absent mindedly playing with his wedding ring.

"I guess there is one thing." He uttered vaguely before shyly answering in more detail when he saw Lynne was looking at them with those curious, big eyes of hers. "She's a great wife and mother so she makes me a better husband and a better father. I don't even try. I just want to be that. For her and for our children."

The orange haired female nodded her head and her own expression melted away upon hearing this and she held a gentle hand over her heart. What initially made Lynne so fond of James was how much he reminded her of Jordan. I had no doubt that was still very much there but deep down in my heart I believed it was just James being himself that made her want to hang out with him and get to know him even more. It wasn't something that I ever uttered aloud, but it was always in the back of my mind that their souls and their hearts might become entwined some time in the future. Or they most definitely would in a different time and in a different place.

Lynne nodded her head and sighed contentedly, clearly showing loving approval of what James had answered to her. James smiled to himself seeing her relaxed expression and we all remained in peaceful silence for quite a while after that. That was until there was quite the obvious ripping sound and Lynne frowned and peered up to the sail.

She was quick to stand up on the decking and put her hands on her hips, shrugging and continuing to smile, unfazed by the minor problem.

"I think I'm going to have to get up there and patch it myself." She gave James another shrug as she picked up her tools and trotted across the floor of the boat to get nearer to the sail. "You're going to have to man the wheel."

And that's was all she said before she proceeded to make her way up the pole to reach the sail, leaving a normally chill (as Misty often described him) James quite out of his depth.

He soon copied Lynne and stood up, holding on unsurely to his white shirt as it began flapping with the breeze.

"Uh…" he breathed out, unsure whether to look worried for her shimmying her way up the pole or worry for himself that he was in charge of the boat. He decided on the latter and squinted at her doubtfully. "I don't know what to do."

Lynne peered down at him from up high, her beautiful features made even more radiant by the sun and her faith in the younger male.

"Of course you do. You're a very smart and charismatic man. You'll do just fine."

I knew James' pounding heart was sure to slow down just a little at this reassurance but he couldn't help but have not a lot of confidence. He bit his lip worriedly, his arms folding over his chest for gentle courage.

"People who are charismatic don't sail boats, people who have been taught to actually sail them do."

Lynne laughed fondly down at him and realised she was going to need a different approach with him other than flattery. I knew she liked that about him. He didn't take himself all that seriously. But he took the things he loved very seriously indeed. And she knew he loved his children more than anything. So she had an idea in mind that would give him confidence.

She raised her hand to her face to shield her eyes from the sun before looking right at him with a smile and confident eyes.

"I've seen you play pirate dress up with your children and my Jordan many many times before. Get in character. You'll know what to do."

I smiled to myself as I watched him ponder to himself upon realising what Lynne had just said. Getting into the character of James from Team Rocket helped him way back in the day, that was for sure. So getting into a character that he often played with his children that was way more important to him than Team Rocket ever was would surely be a piece of cake. He just had to trust in Lynne and listen to her. He trusted her almost more than anyone and loved listening to her.

After he slowly nodded his head and gave her a smile back, he thought like a pirate and began sailing the boat effortlessly like he often acted out with the children in our group. I noticed Lynne pause every so often from up high fixing the sail to watch him with awe. He really was a man of many talents. And I knew she was wondering inside why one of his talents was seemingly making his way into her heart.

James' confidence grew and as Lynne focused on fixing the sail, he remembered watching Jordan many times before and sailed the boat across the sea with ease.

He was smiling to himself and too busy staring at the horizon that he didn't see or hear Lynne jump down from the sails. She landed right in front of him, standing on one side of the wheel while he was on the other, steering it.

The lavender haired male blushed gently with shock and because she was standing so close to him but met her eyes and gave her a smile that was gratitude she knew exactly how to encourage him. Lynne gave him the same smile back and continued looking at him after he looked away, tucking her hair thoughtfully behind her ears.

I watched her, wondering what she might be thinking.

I knew James very well after being in each other's group for so long and when he and Lynne met, I felt that Lynne was very similar to him. I thought the lavender haired male had only one person he would share the rest of his life with and share children with but I knew his heart often fell in love with other people's. Dare I say, Lynne was the same? I knew that James' heart was most likely wandering to this red headed lady's through admiration and fondness, but was hers doing the same with his?

I noticed Lynne's cheeks blushing so gently that it was hardly obvious but I knew what was there. And I think James did too. She moved her gaze to look at the decking below, playing with her hair near her ear and her nose crinkling gently. After she did that, she looked up and her eyes instantly met James' who was staring back at her.

Her hand was now also on the wheel, very near to his and almost touching his but still not quite. Their warmth was near one and others. Their touch was so close to one and others. But still far enough. And to me, that described their situation before it even begun.

This time, the orange haired female didn't flush upon seeing James' eye contact, she continued looking right back at him with those ocean orbs of hers. It didn't surprise me that James didn't look away either, he continued looking right back at her, innocently and contentedly yet with a fraction of hope.

I blinked to myself and all of a sudden, Lynne's fingers were gently reaching out to stroke James' chest that was subtly showing from between the buttons he had left open. My brain began to focus even more and I saw James' hand move on the wheel from next to hers to on top of hers.

It didn't surprise me when, all of a sudden yet with natural pace, their lips were on each other's. Just for a few moments, they shared an innocent yet lingering peck, their noses lightly brushing one and others as they pulled away.

Lynne let out a girlish quiet giggle as she looked down at pushed her hair back out of her eyes, other other hand still on James' chest. She didn't notice his expression but I did. It wasn't uncomfortable or displeased but it wasn't contented and airy like hers.

He let out a silent sigh into the wind and moved away from the wheel, going to sit back on the decking which he had been resting using his elbows before the sail ripped.

Lynne furrowed her brow and looked up at the empty space in front of the wheel James had left, her ocean blue eyes getting tinted with sadness. She swallowed quietly before turning on her heel and walking back over to him.

James breathed out once again upon feeling her presence again but, once again, it wasn't that of displeasure. It was thoughtful.

Lynne carefully moved and sat on her knees, tugging her legs under her thighs and sitting next to the lavender haired male while he laid on his back, propping himself up with his elbows.

"Did you not like the kiss?" she was quick to ask, not looking at him with hurt eyes but rather curious ones at his change of mood as she tucked her hair back behind her ear.

James was almost as quick to reply as she was to speak as he furrowed his brow, shaking his head.

"No. I mean, no, I didn't not like the kiss. It was nice." He gave her a shy smile and she was satisfied by his simple answer when she felt in his heart that he meant it.

She soon frowned again.

"Do you not like me?" she pondered, once again her expression not showing a hint or sadness or remorse, just that innocent curiosity she always possessed.

James was even quicker to answer this question, reaching out and hesitantly resting his hand back on top of hers.

"Of course I like you, Lynne. I love you, you know that." He answered truthfully and with a shrug, not finding it difficult to meet her eyes as he spoke.

"I love you too." Lynne replied simply and with the same honesty, her eyes meeting his but hers were searching for more rather than wanting to back up reassurance with a gaze like his. "Then if you liked the kiss and you like me, why did you move away? You changed."

The lavender haired male stopped looking at her upon hearing this and looked down at his lap, letting out another gentle sigh. When he didn't respond with words, she opened her mouth to resume asking him another question but he glanced back over at her and spoke himself.

"I do love you, Lynne. You're one of the people in this group I'm closest to. It's just… It's just that you're…" he hesitated but didn't look away, trying to find the right words. "Lynne, you're…"

"Not really alive?"

James quickly winced upon hearing this but was even quicker to shake his head, his eyes meeting hers honestly.

"It's not that. I'll love you no matter where you are. You're-"

"Not your type?"

Despite the gentle moment and James was struggling for once to convey what he was saying, he let out a quiet laugh as he reflected on the women he had been in love with before. Strong. Passionate. Interesting coloured hair. Inside depth reflecting outwards.

"No, you're definitely my type." He answered with truthful innocence and a shrug before trying again. "You're-"

"Just say it, James." Lynne surprised him by speaking to him firmly for once before looking at him with soft eyes that contradicted her tone, her head tilting gently on one side.

James smiled sadly as he reflected on how he truly felt about her and how his heart was falling for hers but he knew that nothing would be able to stop her coming and going and that he wouldn't have her permanently in his life like his other orange haired best friend and her daughter. But he pushed this aside and he reached for her hand, bringing it to his chest so she could feel the innocent and truthful bit of his heart as he finally came up with an answer.

"You're an angel, Lynne." He admitted with a gentle nod of his head before expanding what he felt. "You're an angel and I felt something change in my heart when I first met you and something lift off my shoulders. You're my guardian angel and I'm going to love you no matter where we are or who we are with. I moved away because that scares me a little, because I don't want to see you leave. But I'll do it. Because I know that the experiences I will share with you while you are here will be beyond worth it."

After James finally got that off his chest with Lynne's hand in her chest, they engaged in a hug that seemed to convey just as much if not more as their innocent little peck. I just sat there in silence for quite a while, studying them.

It was almost as if I knew big things were ahead of them. Confusion. Mess. Their hearts becoming entwined. Their bodies becoming entwined. Their fate becoming entwined when they bought a new life into this world together.

They were meant to do all that. But they were not meant to be together, the spaces in their lives had already been filled years before that. And that was one of the most beautiful things in the world. They loved each other. They admired each other. They were connected to each other. But they didn't end up together. Sometimes it was horrible. It was painful. It was confusing. It was unfair. But it was honest. As honest as their feelings for one and other and as honest as when they said they were meant to love one and other but not meant to share their lives with one and other as husband and wife.

The End.

There you go! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy :3 So yes, I really do love Lynne and James together and their little love for one and other but Jessie x James and Jordan x Lynne are the endgame pairings. It might be a little controversial to have James fall in love with more than one person but most people in the group accept it. Jordan has been through so much in his life and is now an angel that he knows he will have eternity with Lynne and, although he is insecure about many things, he knows that she will always choose him. And with Jessie, she's known James forever and knows that he's such a fluid person in life that in their relationship, they just go with the flow. She knows that James understands love has no capacity and doesn't love her less even though he's in love with Lynne. She trusts that no matter what happens, they find their way back to each other. Besides, Jessie and Lynne get on famously too and Jordan and James are like brothers. It's all good :P Thanks again and I will be back on Wednesday so see you then!
