Hello :P It is Wednesday and I am back with a new chapter. Like the title suggests, this one focuses on Misty and the boyfriend of Justin Morgan, Sammy. He's been written about before but more in his relation with Justin. You see more of him for him here, even though Justin does make some appearences as well! This was an interesting one for me think up because it happened pretty much on the spot. It happens during the time of when Johnny Jinn has been born and James' Nanny, Josie, has passed on. It leads to a discussion and bonding between Misty and Sammy. I hope you enjoy :3

Ages:

Justin: 21

Misty: 34

Sammy: 27

Disclaimer: I own the story and the OCs mentioned!

I continued sitting on the lap of my best friend's orange haired wife and feeling her fingers massaging her fur as she rubbed the top of my head and I exhaled peacefully. But differently to how things would have been at the very beginning, something else was occupying my attention other than her gentle and caring touch. As we sat together, I definitely saw the interactions between the deep purple haired male and his boyfriend and I watched all the more. And I smiled to myself.

At some point while Justin had sat cross legged on the floor and started going through the pages of his notebook – presumably scanning and memorising lyrics while he hummed to himself – the dark haired older male had taken interest in his boyfriend's warm red guitar propped against the wall. He wandered over to it and as soon as he had taken it in his hands, he flopped down on the sofa with it and moved his fingers closer to the strings.

However, before Sammy could even encourage the guitar to make that chime-y and raspy noise that it often uttered, Justin's finger was most definitely on the pulse. His head suddenly twitched upwards as the Alolan male's fingers edged closer to the strings. He suddenly stood up and carried himself on his long over to his older boyfriend and hovered over him.

Managing to withhold a smirk, his hand darted out and he grabbed his own guitar by the neck while Sammy continued to hold it. His eyes of course lit up even if his smile openly did not.

"What do you think you're doing?" he asked and he tilted his head, moving his hand away from the neck of the guitar and both of his hands going to his hips instead. I felt Misty's head turn and I knew that she was watching also. I wondered if she was smirking. I most certainly was. Justin was still managing to hold his in.

Sammy just simply looked up at his younger boyfriend, giving him a smile. He pushed his long locks from his eyes and then tilted his own head. His almond shaped eyes squinted as he continued to smile. He answered with a shrug.

"I'm being you. What do you reckon?" he uttered and with that and with the deep purple haired male's hands no longer blocking him from touching his guitar though he was still silently disapproving, Sammy's fingers properly went to the strings and he started playing a tune.

I glanced behind me and saw Misty did indeed share the smile with me as she heard their antics but her eyes had a quality about them as if she was thinking of other things as well. That was okay. I nudged her hand and went back to watching the boy's fully.

I was certain that Justin's heart probably secretly begun to swell when Sammy played one of Justin's own tunes as he played the guitar but even so, he couldn't help but keep up the act. He pretended to grunt and scrunch his nose up, pressing his lips together and his dimple appearing as he shook his head disapprovingly. He let out a mock sigh and then his hand went back to clasping over the fret board, preventing anymore sounds from coming out his precious instrument.

"I reckon that's all wrong! You've tuned it back up again, haven't you? Goodness sake, give it back here." He replied to his boyfriend and he responded in a breathy impatient tone but as soon as he saw Sammy widen his eyes and stick his bottom lip out too, he didn't bother to hide his laughter. He burst out into it, shaking his head. He folded his arms over his chest while the Alolan male defended himself.

"I like it this way. Just let me be, Justin." He insisted and he put emphasis on his boyfriend's name in mock irritability to make the younger male laugh all the more and it absolutely did this. The deep purple haired male put his hands up defensively and took a step back. He took a step back and actually allowed even his boyfriend to play his guitar. Sammy plucked a few more strings and played a few more notes before stopping himself, giving Justin a mischievous grin that was almost elf-ish. "You don't like it, do you? You're not the only guitar player in this relationship."

I felt Misty's body twitch with amusement but she didn't do anything other than that. I rested my cheek against the palm of her hand. Justin missed a beat. And then he took a step forward and didn't hesitate to come out with saying.

"No, but I'm the only good one." He stated matter of factly and in an instant, Sammy reacted by his eyes creasing with disagreement before they widened at the harshness of his words and then finally lit up as he burst into laughter. And contrasting all of this but equally enjoyable to watch, Justin's own eyes widened as if he believed his joke was far too below the belt and out of line. His head momentarily ducked to apologise even after over two years of them being in a relationship.

Thankfully, Sammy didn't miss his own beat while Misty and I had stifled laughter. He didn't refrain from putting the guitar down on the ground (still respectfully) before standing up to be eye level with the younger male. He could not contain his grin.

"Oh well if it's like that then I don't want to play your stupid guitar." Sammy made out and when I noticed the way that Justin blushed ever so slightly, I wondered if it was the older male closing the space between them or fondness at his accent that was different to his own. Nevertheless, he didn't say anything and just remained standing. Sammy continued. He took another step forward to prove a point. "You're lucky we don't have a proper match because you know I would snap your matchstick legs in half!"

And as the Alolan male pretended to jolt forward as if to chase the younger male, Justin quickly followed suit and his own laughter could be heard. He didn't stop himself from moving out of the way and dodging in small motions when Sammy poked out his foot and tried to make a dig at those legs of Justin's. The deep purple male then twirled in a circle as if he was dribbling a football before he promptly hid behind the armchair opposite to the one Misty and I were on. He didn't peek from behind it though I was certain that his playful self would have liked to.

Instead, Sammy just let out a loud sigh of fake disbelief and flopped back on the sofa, without his boyfriend's guitar that time. He rested one of his tattooed arms behind his head and as I noticed the way that Justin's eyes were starting to peep above the back of the armchair, Sammy turned his head and noticed Misty smiling over at him. He didn't bother to not include her. He moved over to his side and propped himself up with his elbow and smiled back over at her. He gestured.

"He loses in the end. I was about to remind him that he needs to head back down to his bat cave so on top of that I'll send him away with no kisses." Sammy told her and with that, while her own face scrunched up with laughter and she shook her head fondly, he flopped back so he was lying on his back.

My laughter just kept on coming when, of course, upon hearing this, Justin very amusingly popped up from behind the arm chair fully before standing to his full height and then rather clumsily clambering towards Sammy. I had never seen him that way! Before he could dart to his older boyfriend's side, the Alolan male sat up all over again, planting his feet on the carpet. He pretended to turn away and shake his head before Justin could verbally protest.

"No, I mean it." he told him and the deep purple haired male pretended to open his mouth with hurt but he didn't do anything else. And following that and following Sammy sincerely laughing, he stopped all of his own foolery and pushed his hair from his eyes. He looked over at Justin seriously but still genuinely. He smiled. "Seriously, I do mean it. We've been mucking around up here for ages now and you really need to get back to work."

The orange haired female and I both watched as the deep purple haired male's arms flopped down and swung by his sides upon hearing this but I could fathom that this was from realising that the two of them had got side-tracked. His eyes briefly glanced at his discarded notebook on the floor. He had been working from his home studio and recording that day and only intended to pop up to see his boyfriend chilling in his family home for a moment or so.

But like how if often was when you were in love, one moment turned into a lot of them. The two of them had got very side-tracked! But Misty and I loved every minute of it and loved being close to people as energetic and sweet in the times that had befallen our extended group. We certainly weren't complaining. Neither were Justin and Sammy. But they knew when to call it quits.

So in that moment the deep purple haired male pushed his new, shorter locks from his eyes and he nodded at Sammy, giving him an agreeing close mouthed smile and showing off his dimple. And after the Alolan male stood to his full height all over and intended to reach to squeeze the younger male's hand, Justin's arms stopped draping by his sides. His own hands reached for Sammy. He made a specific motion with his lips. The older male of course knew what this meant and laughed lovingly.

However before he could grant the younger male's wish, the eldest Morgan son evidently albeit rather slowly acknowledged the fact that he wasn't as alone as he had felt with his boyfriend. As he pursed his lips for a kiss, he suddenly met Misty's eyes as she happened to glance and smile over at that moment and his mouth pressed together sheepishly, ducking his head slightly.

I turned my head back and watched the way that the orange haired female didn't say anything but waved her hand dismissively and shook her head in the same manner and looked away. She smiled all the while though to reassure the younger male. It was clear that the fellow was still a little bit guarded when it came to a tiny bit of PDA!

Sammy didn't verbally comment on this reaction from Justin though he inwardly thought it rather endearing. He managed to swallow all of his fondness accept for a little smile that decorated his lips and then as he leaned in to kiss the deep purple haired male, he cupped his face with both of his hands and left his fingers grazing his cheek so his wrists shielded them and gave them some privacy.

Justin's eyes shut as he pecked him back but then they fluttered open again. The younger male put his hands lightly on the older male's chest before he softly poked him away. He was agreeing that it was time to get going and time to get back to work but even so, Sammy wanted to make a point.

The Alolan male shoved the younger male lightly back and after pretending to kick his foot against his "matchstick" leg, he told him with another mischievous and elfish grin, pushing his hair from his eyes.

"Go on now. Scram." He told him and he paused. Misty looked back up. Justin looked over his shoulder back at him as he really was intended to get going. Before he could blink, Sammy continued. He grinned all the more. "Go and crack on with your stuff or I'll send your little sister down to mind you. And you certainly don't want that, do you?"

And upon hearing that, Misty did all of the laughs for everyone. She burst out into laughter. I chuckled too but I was also busy with smirking at the way that Justin promptly left the room to go back to his basement studio, waving his hand in the air. I had never seen a person leave the room so fast!

As Misty too noticed this, she continued to laugh hard. She continued to laugh for a good few moments and it felt really good. Sammy chuckled too and sat back down on the sofa but it was only after he had tuned the warm red guitar back down like his boyfriend liked and propped it back against the wall for him.

It was during this time that the orange haired female's laughter died down. It happened gradually and naturally and she went back to massaging my head as she did so. I shut my eyes and fully enjoyed the contact now that my other senses weren't taken up by the displays of both Justin and Sammy. I didn't notice the way that as Misty's laughter died down, her eyes started to steadily fill with thoughtfulness and they glanced to where the two boy's had been messing around before.

Sammy noticed, though. And he sat up a little bit as it registered in his brain and his nose wrinkled as he addressed it properly. It took a little while for the orange haired female's head to turn.

"What are you thinking about? Are you thinking about how you and your husband are no longer in that stage of your relationship?" he asked in equal measures of playfulness and seriousness and it caused my eyes to open. I heard Misty let out just one noise of mirth but once my head turned my gaze was taken up by watching the way that Sammy – very similarly to Justin – suddenly widened his almond eyes and then his head ducked soon after he said his words. He furrowed his brow as if to suddenly wonder if they knew each other well enough for him to say things like that. Misty didn't seem offended but even so, his head snapped back up and he hurriedly retracted his words. "That was unnecessary. I know from James that you and Ash are very much in love and youthful in your love."

My best friend's wife's expression changed from unoffended but still thoughtful laughter and then showed off a smirk with a glint in her eyes as well. No doubt did she understand that her lavender haired best friend had airily complained to his son's trustworthy boyfriend about her own PDA's with Ash a couple of times in the past few years.

Misty looked back over at Sammy and when she saw his eyes flickering subtly as if still inwardly worrying that he had offended her despite all of her mannerisms to prove otherwise, she wiped all the amusement off her face and just smiled contentedly at the last part of his words. She couldn't stop her cheeks from turning rosy pink, like Justin's had turned when Sammy had broken the distance between the two of them.

"Oh, we'll always be those two teenagers in love. And we'll always be like ten year olds and an old married couple in one as well. I still feel as fluttery as I'm sure both you and Justin do." She replied to him with a bit of a smile and it was this reassuring glance from her that made Sammy's concerned gaze fade away for good. He just smiled charmingly back and then looked down at his lap. And then when he looked back again, he noticed that although Misty was still smiling at her own words, her eyes had misted over tenuously as they had done previously.

Sammy couldn't help but address it. His fingers rubbed at the ends of his hair and one couldn't help but wonder if that was how he had ended up with his prior dreadlocks!

"Do you have something on your mind?" he pondered aloud in a caring manner and as I heard these words and rolled off Misty's lap to nuzzle her while sitting on the arm of her armchair, I couldn't help but feel that they would have been very easy to dismiss. The orange haired female looked over at Sammy. She just smiled at him. I was certain that that was all she was going to do or at the most she would just shake her head.

But if there was one thing that I had learnt and I continued to learn over and over again was that life was full of surprises. And people could surprise you very much so as well. Misty did continue to smile. But then she shrugged. And that was when I understood that she was going to answer properly.

"It's… It's just nice. It's just nice to see you and Justin fooling around and being like yourselves even in the midst of everything that has happened." Misty explained and when I looked over at her, I got the itching sensation in my throat of the reminder that we were never too far off in thought. We had had a special bond, Misty and I, from the very beginning. I had thought that in passing. But then I understood that she was thinking of it more prominently. Sammy just nodded her head. Misty continued; her other hand reaching to play with her own bangs. "It's hard seeing your best friend going through something like losing someone but perhaps even harder to see them trying to crack on like you haven't been torn in half. So seeing you guys is just making me remember that laughter is still possible."

Sammy held his breath and I knew that I had noticed. But what happened next was what I noticed most of all and took with me. I liked how in that moment as he heard the orange haired female being real with him, his feet raised him up from sitting. He hovered for a few moments but then he didn't hesitate to wander over to Misty before sitting down on the floor, cross legged. Some might have thought that he was far less comfy sitting there but I knew that that was the opposite. It was natural for him to be there – to listen.

He played with his hair but couldn't help but smile slightly out of a number of things as he looked up at Misty, his legs crossing over each other. He really took his time before answering. I liked that.

"James… James is okay, though, isn't he?" He asked and pointed out rather innocently before he chuckled at himself and shook his own head. He explained, looking down at his feet. "I mean, he's doing as okay as he possibly can for his grandmother passing on. We don't need to worry, do we? He's… He's strong."

Misty shook her head thoughtfully yet thoughtlessly in response to his second question. And then she didn't hesitate to reply.

"He's one of the strongest people I've ever met." The orange haired female uttered adamantly but in a very quiet voice. And like the Alolan male, she took a little bit of time before coming out with what she wanted to say next. She still got a trace down her spine of uneasiness at being so openly communicative at times. But then that was okay because Sammy was used to it with Justin. Misty played with her bangs and I rested my cheek against her thigh as she continued. She shook her head all over again. "Sometimes I think it's harder for the people around you. Especially if you've lost someone yourself. I don't know… I just know that Josie was like a parent to James and I hate that he's going through what I went through."

Sammy didn't say anything. Sammy didn't say anything and he looked down at his lap but it wasn't because he was dismissing her words or avoiding that conversation – far from it. The truth was, the Alolan male could often feel connected to everybody and anybody. His faith meant their pain was his pain and their sorrow was every bit of his. Even though it had happened so long ago for Misty, Sammy could still feel the pain in her heart alongside her when he looked over at her again.

The orange haired woman too was looking down at her lap but she was loosely stroking the black tip of my ear. The Alolan male swallowed. He knew that he had to say something but he wanted to make sure that what he came out with wasn't bullshit. He also knew he needed time to figure out how he felt about it all as well so he just started with a question. I felt like he already knew the answers.

"You… You were really young, weren't you? How old? How old exactly…?" he questioned and his eyes flickered before they locked onto Misty's face. He wondered if the orange haired woman would wince or wobble or waver. But even though she continued looking down at her lap and stroking my ear, she didn't do any of those things. She answered. She answered Sammy. And she answered Sammy like they were simple sums that she had memories.

"Four… Four and then six…" she responded. It was true that people were sometimes the most surprising thing in life itself but I was still caught off guard by Sammy's reaction. I heard him suck air in through his teeth and then quickly shut his eyes. I knew that Misty hadn't expected this response either because before she realised it she had looked over at the dark brown haired male. She furrowed her brow.

"What…?" she mumbled softly with a lingering frown and she leaned forward slightly on the arm chair. I made sure my cheek was still pressed against her thigh as I listened to everything that was happening.

Sammy answered her quickly and that was another thing that surprised me. But soon enough I understood that he answered promptly because he was telling the truth. His eyes quivered open all over again and then they fixed right on Misty as he admitted.

"Just… Just hearing things like that really makes me wonder…" Sammy trailed off and didn't exactly explain his reason in full but it was obvious that he didn't need to from the way that Misty's thoughtful eyes instantly widened and she shook her head apologetically. Her hand found her way over her heart and rested there. Sammy shook his head to reassure her. He had a little bit of a smile as he didn't want her to worry about that kind of thing. "No, no don't be silly. I think it's only natural. No matter what your faith or no matter what you believe, I think it makes you wonder why on earth something like that would have to happen. And what kind of path it could possibly lead everyone else to."

And despite the fact that talking about the loss of both of her parents could still hit her as deeply and feel as raw as if she was the ages of four and six all over again, Misty found herself having a bit of a smile as she stroked me more attentively. And her smile wasn't because of Sammy's prior one. It was because she was thinking of things. And as she thought of things, she tilted her head and looked over at the younger male and he soon was able to realise them as well. He let out a tiny sound of realisation.

The loss of Misty's parents had led to some good. Them coming back down to earth when she was a young woman and with children of her own was one of them but even more than that was the lessons they had all learned and the lost years that they had made up for. The way they had been taken from her at such an early age was not erased just because they became a part of her life all over again. But the fact that they had a life all together and her father had started to appreciate life and her mother even had a life with her best friend made the positives slowly outweigh the negatives.

So a path had been laid out and followed. But I still understood why Sammy found it hard to wrap his head around why the pain had to happen in the first place. I felt that way too now and again.

But instead of trying to wrap his head around it – there were some things that no matter how insightful you were or if you had a whole book to guide you through life were hard to fathom – he decided to embrace the cluelessness. He decided to embrace the hollow absence of answers. He decided to just be there and to listen. And he decided to ask another question as well.

"Does… Does it hurt you, Misty? Does it confuse you? Watching your best friend almost lose a parent as well and at the same time seeing your parents down here almost every day must be conflicting. Because you still feel the loss as James does right now because you remember it. Yet yours are there for you?"

I was too busy exhaling so didn't really catch whether or not Misty was alongside with me. I was too busy exhaling and feeling a little bit in awe at the kind of questions that Sammy asked. Such a charismatic and confident and outgoing person he was yet he kept a lot of wisdom and depth and perhaps even secrets locked away inside of him. In my lifetime I found it rare to find people who were the focus point when they walked into a room yet listened to you like you were the only person in a room they wanted to talk too. But I held onto the people that possessed those amazing paradoxical qualities. And Sammy indeed was one of them.

Once again, Misty took a little bit of time before answering. Naturally, it was a subject that could lead to many possible answers! But then once that little bit of hesitation was said and done with, she found herself answering rather promptly. Of course she did. She was telling nothing but the truth. And she had the oncoming glint of a brave smile also.

"Surprisingly… Surprisingly no, Sammy. I think that the only massive feeling that I get when I feel empathy for James and see my parents around too is this almost bittersweet and nostalgic feeling. They of course couldn't be there to comfort me way back for obvious reasons. But they can be there to support James. And that's kind of magical. Besides, no one deserves it more than he does." Misty told Justin's boyfriend and almost soon as these words were out in the open, Sammy looked down at his lap and his hair flopped down, beginning to cover his arms. But he smiled. He smiled a smile filled with awe. I openly smiled at the orange haired woman and climbed back on her lap so she knew how proud I was for her for the heartfelt sincerity of her words.

Yet although she asked for no praise, she most certainly got it from the both of us. Sammy was the type of fellow to say exactly as he thought. So he made sure to enlighten the older woman of his admiration. He shuffled forward on his bottom. He looked up at her. And he looked up at her like he most definitely did look up to her!

"That… That is incredible, you know? And so nice. I hate the fact that you went through that, I really do, but I know in my heart that it's true that that kind of thing can twist someone into bitterness or it can make them compassionate deep in their hearts." Sammy told Misty and because she still expected no praise, all she did upon hearing this was shake her head and laugh a little bit and wave her hand. But the Alolan male and I nodded our heads. And after I put my paws on her chest and climbed up to nuzzle my cheek against her neck, Sammy scooted forward all the more. He grinned up at Misty. He asked another serious question but was already rather inspired by what he imagined to be the answer. "How… How exactly did you get through that so young? I mean, if for the second time you didn't have a parent to look to for guidance?"

Following Sammy's initial on the surface inspiration as he asked Misty a question, after he got his words out then he couldn't help but swallow to himself. It was obvious of the sort of guidance that he had in his life but he got the shiver down his spine that perhaps even that wouldn't have been enough to reach out to Misty. And he was right. But thankfully for her, she had found something else. And even more thankfully for her and luckily for Sammy, in that moment she was able to utter it and admit it.

The Alolan male started to get the impression that it was something that she didn't really talk about when she lifted me up under the armpits and carried me down with her to sit cross legged on the floor with both her and Sammy. Subtly but curiously, the younger male shifted his body to make room for her and he glanced over at her. Misty had a little bit of a blush on her cheeks – like she was sheepish about revealing something yet giddy too. Looking back I understood she knew that the answer would make him happy. And it would make him feel connected to her and the members of her family – and more so than ever.

The orange haired woman kept up a little bit of a silence as she played with her bangs. I sat on her lap. Sammy blinked his almond eyes at her and managed to ignore any niggling feeling of impatience. He just waited. He just waited and waited and it paid off. Misty sheepishly grinned at him. She played with her bangs one last time and she replied simply.

"Writing." She told him, pushing her hair from her eyes and tilting her own body to look at him properly. I remained closer to her. I felt closer to her than ever as she admitted. "I would write in notebooks about anything and everything. Words. Quotes. Letters… Songs."

And understandably, upon hearing this, the Alolan male's eyes widened. He breathed out. He knew that she had exquisite taste in music. His deep purple haired boyfriend had boasted this to him almost since the moment that they started dating! He knew that she was talented in all areas. He knew that she could sometimes be heard humming a tune. He had just never believed it to be that deep. However, he was delighted when that became apparent. His face lit up as he grinned. And then Misty's did too as she continued. She laughed shyly.

"It's just always been something that I did in private. Only Ash knew. And then James. I never would have dreamt that I'd tell his children – that I'd tell Justin – but he found out eventually as well. Then again, I couldn't exactly keep that from him, could I?" Misty spoke and then asked and when she asked a question, Sammy automatically shook his head. But his face was far too busy lighting up. His expression was aglow with the talent that he was finding out that she had and his eyes were lighting up at the mention of the younger male whom he loved so much. He was tingling with the notion of Misty helping him right one of his songs! And maybe even they could write one altogether. Misty could tell all of this – just as I could. She shared a secret smile with me. But then she continued talking once more. She looked at Sammy rather seriously. But softly too.

"That's why I could have never discouraged Justin from the passionate love that he has. For me – it helped me heal. And it still does to this day. So it's important that he does it. Whether he laughs or he cries. Whatever he feels. He has a talent. So he should write. He should write as long as he lives. I don't imagine that he partially does it for me. But I hope that he does it for my parents. Because in a way, maybe that was one of the reasons that my parents had to go when they did."

"His talents were graciously bestowed upon him and I'm glad they were." Sammy didn't bother to stop himself from saying as truthfully as Misty spoke to him and he responded to her thoughtful sincerity in an almost breathless tone as he grinned gladly at her. The orange haired female just smiled softly and nodded. She didn't know that more words were next. And she didn't know that more actions were next either. Sammy continued further more. "I always thought I knew why. But now I'm starting to think that you're right. That the path that you endured lead to something for him as well. So in that case I thank you for being strong as well as holding my hat off to you. Because the Justin who writes songs is the Justin I love more than anything. And I wouldn't trade him or his talents he shares with the world for anything."

And with that, the Alolan male took the orange haired female completely by surprise and he invited her into the tightest most genuine hug in the world, wrapping his arms around her. At first, Misty just blinked and her hands froze mid-air. But then she thought about it. If she had learnt anything in her lifetime was that a simple embrace could also heal and if you felt comfortable then you should absolutely return it. You don't know who needs it. And you don't know when you will need another one.

So giggling rather shyly and trying to resist the urge to point out that it was his boyfriend who used to wear the hat, Misty wrapped her arms around the younger male and hugged him tightly back. He hugged her all the more. I was certain that he was thinking lots of things. And one of them I was certain that he was grateful for a talk like that and a hold like that.

Difficulties could make him question his faith. But heart to hearts and the sharing of true selves renewed it all over again. And Misty definitely did for him that day. And what Sammy did for Misty was listen. He had noticed her thoughtfulness – even if it wasn't urgent. He had noticed and he had taken the time to ask. And that meant everything to her. There was a time when only her writing listened. But she was then surrounded people who would not only listen but take her emotions on as their own and help her navigate her way through them.

Someone else who did this often with her was of course the deep purple haired male himself. And speaking of the tall and slim and "matchstick" legged male, as Sammy and Misty finally pulled away from their embrace, almost as if to sense his presence, the dark brown haired male looked over at the crack in the door. He saw Justin loitering outside. Misty's head turned when Sammy let out a mock loud sigh. Justin pushed the door further open and showed off a mock cheesy grin. The orange haired woman and I shared an amused look when Sammy addressed him.

"I thought that you were working hard and cracking on?" the Alolan male reminded him and he had to inhale his fond amusement when as soon as these words were said, Justin used his long legs to dart in the room and quickly shut behind him. I had never really seen him grovel before! But Misty and I definitely enjoyed it. His palms pressed together innocently.

"I know… But I need just one more squeeze before I can really crack on to work…?" he offered and he ducked his head and went a little bit shy as he understood that Misty was still there but he was known to be a stubborn young man. He stood his ground. His feet wiggled on the carpet in their socks.

Misty and I looked at each other. Sammy looked over at Justin. Sammy looked over at Justin with a raised eyebrow. But then he decided that he was done teasing him for the day. He scrunched his face up and winked very briefly and opened one arm wide while the other was still on Misty's shoulder. He gestured with his head.

"Come on then. But we have to include Misty this time because she is awesome." Sammy emphasized and it was Misty's turn to pull an amused face and duck her head sheepishly as she blushed but then she just laughed and I grinned at the way that Justin perked up straight away. He was rather like a puppy at times. And he was a lot like Misty's father in a way too. He beamed in the friendliest manner. He started clumsily but endearingly striding his way towards everyone.

"I never say no to a hug with Misty 'cos she really is awesome." he agreed and at the same time that everybody on the floor stood up and I hopped onto the orange haired female's shoulder, Justin joined in the massive hug. He squeezed in between Sammy and Misty. He wrapped his arm firmly around his boyfriend. He squeezed Misty's shoulder with his other hand. His face squeezed sweetly between everyone. He smiled, his eyes half shut and both of his dimples showing. "She's the other person who loves my dear papa so for that, I love her endlessly."

And with that, Justin somehow squeezed Misty and Sammy all the more and he patted me too. The Alolan male quickly followed suit. The orange haired female pulled a face and then continued arching her eyebrow at all the compliments but the way that she smiled and her eyes lit up showed just how much it meant to her. And in addition to this, she showed it by hugging us all back especially the boys and shutting her own eyes.

It was true that she did love the lavender haired male and she loved all of his children too. But one thing that caught her surprise was how much she cared for Sammy too. She cared about Justin. She cared about Sammy. She cared about them both together. She never imagined that when she pulled Ash out of a river all those years ago that she would end up with a family. And she would end up in the midst of a family that kept on expanding and expanding! But she never would have traded it for the world.

Alone at times in her childhood but never alone in her adulthood. But most importantly of all, she had people around her who cared. She had people who supported. And she had people who listened. It may have been a sad path at times but it was her path. And it led to little and big blessings for all. She just had to know where to look. She just had to learn to be grateful for the moments and memories she did have. And she did exactly that. Because Misty was awesome. Justin was too. Sammy as well. And there's more about him to come.

The End.

There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 Misty was a good character to write about here. She's definitely had a difficult childhood but is one of the strongest people ever - even though she describes James as exactly that! Like Sammy, she has her own refuge and I look forward to exploring it more. I'm absolutely going to write about her song-writing hobby in the future. It comes from the fact that she has her very own song that was released as well as being in Pokemon Live! On top of that, it was interesting to write Justin as a boyfriend to Sammy here. I think you see a new side to him! But most importantly you see the admiration that Justin has for Misty. And Sammy has that for her too - especially after their conversation :3 Thanks again and I will be back again next Wednesday so see you then!
