Hello :P It is not Wednesday but I am back with a new chapter! I did actually start reading through a story to upload yesterday but then I had second thoughts about the order of them. And I decided that this one should come first. I finished sorting it out around 1am so then just decided I would upload it the next day! So here it is. Once more, this focuses on the relationship of Justin and Eli when they are indeed living together. It goes into a little more of the ins and outs of their dynamic - as well as Eli's fondness for one of Justin's siblings in particular. I hope you enjoy!
Ages:
Justin: 22
Eli: 34
Jorgie: 3
Disclaimer: I own the story and the OCs mentioned!
I also feel like now is the time to do this heads up. When tackling the story and the arc of Eli, the theme of being afraid (for one reason or another) to outwardly express your sexuality with others is going to come up a lot. So if that's something that's upsetting for you, then perhaps avoid certain chapters. I will be sure to mention in the author's note to the extent that it will be covered. In this particular one, it's my personal opinion that it's rather light.
Also: I the writer of course feel that everybody should be accepted by everyone for who they are - and in an ideal world they wouldn't feel the need to keep certain things a secret. But this theme is a huge part of Eli's arc and Justin's as well, and especially their shared one. I just wanted to make sure that people know where I stand, and know that it is my wholehearted intention to deal with these very real themes empathically :)
This is one of those tales that I found out about a good many years after it actually happened. And to tell you the truth, it will be an enjoyable one for me to tell! It brings an indescribably warm feeling to the pit of my belly to know that there were happy moments in between. There were smiles. There was joy. There was laughter. And those kind of tales are always the best ones to share.
The deep purple haired male rested his elbows on the front of the trolley as he pushed it rather skilfully across the floor. His elbow-led actions and his posture spoke volumes of how he was beginning to grow weary and at the end of his energy reserve when it came to shopping.
However, to contrast his hunch and his half-hearted attempt to keep the trolley in a straight line, the deep purple haired male was shaking his head fondly. He had a grin. His dimples were decorating on either side of his face. And he had a twinkle in his eye. He had a twinkle in his eye as he followed the deep violet haired male who was leading the shopping trip. But he still tried to hide it.
"Come on, Eli. We have to be done by now. Look at all the things we've already bought!" Justin's voice rose in pitch to get his point across and as his elbows lulled on the front of the trolley, his hands moved, gesturing to the groceries in the shopping cart. There actually wasn't too many. But Justin persisted, pressing his lips together in a firm, telling line and causing his dimples to appear all the more. "We have to be done by now."
"Not so fast, you." The deep violet haired male who was wandering in front in the same aisle just a few paces ahead suddenly turned around on his heel, addressing the younger male's words that were bordering on whinging. Justin's eyes promptly widened and he had to tug on the shopping cart quick, or it was to run over the older male's toes in his shoes! I imagine that it was this close call as well as realising that his voice was very soft and gentle towards the eldest Morgan son that then caused his spine to straighten and his next words to come out louder and more directly. "Not so fast. If you keep up this whining then I'll send you to wait in the car."
But in spite of the Unovan males attempt to appear sturdier and more casual in front of the deep purple haired male (or more like anybody from the other aisles who happened to catch on to their conversation), he too couldn't dull the natural sparkle that could be found in his orbs.
Pushing his hands into his black jeans pockets, he shrugged while Justin automatically puckered out his bottom lip and rested his elbows on the front of the trolley all over again.
"Have a little patience. I just need to locate the toy aisle and then we can head on our way. I promise." Eli told Justin who continued to pout his lips for effect and even raised his eyebrows too, encouraging endearing lines to form on his forehead. Despite the fact that the deep violet haired male tried to duck his head, avoiding the younger male's purposefully cute display, he did find himself reaching one hand out to him and cupping under the chin for just one second. Justin ignored the way he turned to check nobody else was seeing that and focused on the pit of his stomach magically dropping at the single touch. Eli continued teasingly after that moment was said and done with, his other hand slipping back into his pocket. "Now can you stop slumping and have a touch of a peer? You'll see the sign leading to the toy aisle before me, that's for certain!"
And almost immediately, the eldest Morgan son did indeed stop slumping and straightened his back, running a hand through his shorter locks also. It was then like it took a second or two for him to catch on to the humour behind the older male's words.
Just before Eli could turn on his heel all over again and be the rare leader of an exhibition between the two of them, Justin's expression brightened all over again. His nose scrunched up. But then as the deep violet haired male started walking and looking for where he wanted to be, the eldest Morgan son followed after him and did indeed walk, craning his neck over the aisles to see any sign for where they needed to head.
I knew for a fact that it didn't take much craning at all for Justin to see over the tops of aisles, as well as people's heads! Eli? Not so much.
And the deep purple haired male found himself teasing him on some degree over this point, scooting after him and almost skidding along with the shopping cart. He decided to direct it next to the Unovan male rather than behind him.
"What are we looking for in the toy aisle anyway, Eli?" the deep purple haired male asked the older one with straightness in his voice and it took him a second or two to realise that it was him being spoken to. He did a soft double take and then couldn't help but listen attentively when he heard the younger male uttering his name. Justin managed to match the straightness in his voice with a level expression as he added. "I know you're a shorty but we don't have to get you a child's dinner set, I don't think."
The deep violet haired male had his head tilted on one side and his face full of innocence as he bought into Justin's carefree tone of voice as well as his natural charm. And then on the next beat and when the deep purple haired male found himself grinning playfully at his own words, Eli caught on.
His mouth hung open quite a lot at first and then he narrowed his eyes, his mouth shutting all over again. While Justin copied his own head tilt from before and puckered his lips all over again, raising his eyebrows to win the teasing battle all the more so, Eli tried his very best to ignore it.
Instead, he moved over to Justin's side, giving him a light push of the elbow and wordlessly telling him to walk on ahead. After the deep purple haired male merely just laughed some more, front strands of his hair flopping over his eyes, the Unovan male then gestured with his hand.
Following that, he caught up to Justin, stuffing his hands back into his pockets with mock contempt.
"Well if I'm a shorty then you're a bad boy! A mean boy." The deep violet haired male retorted to him and in response, the deep purple haired male didn't try to turn his expression innocent and adorable all over again. In fact, his eyes started to glint a little bit at a joke well done and his eyebrows knotted together cheekily. After he zoomed a bit more past Eli by skidding with the shopping cart, the older male had more time to think of another comeback. His hands slid out of his pockets all over again and his arms folded over his chest. "Maybe I am a shorty but you're the one visibly wearing women's trousers!"
And proving the fact that the deep purple haired male didn't have to try very hard in always having an answer, after skidding along with the shopping cart all the more and narrowly avoiding a couple of people, Justin turned back just once, his leg kicking in the air. His teal orbs mixed with a hue of green were filled with that same glee but a mixture of power too.
"Why are you staring so hard to notice if I am or I am not?" the deep purple haired male retaliated and following an expression and a head jiggle showing playful smugness, he skidded off with the shopping trolley for good and made his way into the toy aisle.
In addition to all of this, showing that the both of them could be a relentless and unmoving sort of pair, there and then the deep violet haired male showed how easy it was to forget about all of the teasing entirely! In fact, Eli seemed to forget everything up until that moment when Justin was laughing at him, grinning so widely and charmingly.
The Unovan male had to force himself to shake his head to snap himself back to reality and instead of letting a stare linger at the distant silhouette of the younger male, he decided to let out a pretend sigh and half sprinted after him.
Eli inhaled deeply when he arrived in the toy aisle that was empty apart from the presence of the deep purple haired male and I imagined that it wasn't down to nostalgia. Or perhaps it was. Perhaps it was down to the sort of nostalgia that was longing for moments that he never had. Visiting a toy shop in his innocent youth and having to choose his new special friend an object out of dozens and dozens of choices.
However, the Unovan male was reminded there and then that he didn't have to be below the age of ten years old to revel in that sort of thing. And he didn't have to hanker over times that never were either. Those times didn't have to stop at all, not even if he didn't want them to.
Justin was a clear advocate in that sort of thing and he didn't have to show this with words – only actions – as he didn't hesitate to pick up a laser beam of light weapon and start sparring about with it to a fake, invisible enemy, even making the noises out of his lips to boot.
He barely seemed to even notice Eli's widening of his eyes and his hands going to his hips. The Unovan male didn't have time to question him on his antics because the younger male looked up, finally subsiding his mock combat noises and asking casually. His nose scrunched up in an airy manner and he smiled as he still didn't let go of the toy that he had picked up.
"What are we here for, anyway? Do you want to battle me?" the deep purple haired male asked one serious and inquisitive question and then a playful one slipped out again. He had a jokey grin on his face but I can believe that he had a bit of a hopeful glint in his eyes!
Even so, as the eldest Morgan son pretended to hold his weapon out in front of the older male, acting out threatening him, Eli didn't hesitate to grab the end which was the blazing purple light and yank it from Justin. He gave him a look.
"No." the Unovan male responded without a moment of hesitation but nevertheless, before Justin's glint of hope in his eye could be replaced with a look of hurt, holding the weapon from his side of it, Eli touched Justin under the chin with the part that was usually meant to be gripped by a child's hand. His smile returned as Justin didn't remove the toy from being very close to his own neck. "I'm going to buy your little sister a present. I always have to do that when I'm in a place like here."
And with that, after making sure that it was just the two of them in that empty aisle, Eli removed the toy from being threatened against Justin's jugular and he took hold of his hand, pressing the same toy back in his hold. And then following that, the deep violet haired male turned on his heel for good as he well and truly intended to find a little present for Jorgie.
First and foremost after the deep purple haired male had a couple of moments to blink to himself and he even looked down at the toy weapon in his hold, Justin ran through these words in his mind. And then it was as though realisation jerked through him.
The eldest Morgan son hurriedly put the toy back on the shelf and he moved to catch up with Eli who was halfway down that long aisle. Justin left the shopping cart where they had been messing around moments before to join the older male's side all the more sooner.
He couldn't hide his blink all over again and he looked down at the deep violet haired male who was crouching down, searching for toys that were more traditionally aimed at girls.
"Are you being serious? You're really looking for something for Jorgie?" the deep purple haired male questioned him rather sceptically and with a head that was beginning to tilt. Eli only responded with a "yep" noise as he craned down to the lowest shelf and peered right down to the back of it. Justin tried not to lose his train of thought and smirk and forced himself to lean against some other shelves instead. "Why would you do that?"
The deep violet haired male didn't come back with a toy that he had been looking for but he came back with a very endearing answer and a smile to boot. Still crouching down with his shoes planted on the floor, Eli looked back at Justin all over again. Eli looked up at Justin. And he smiled that glowing and mischievous yet well-meaned smile of his.
"Why wouldn't I?" the Unovan male responded and then he was done looking at that very low shelf. He stood back up to his full height that wasn't anything at all in comparison to Justin's but even so; he thoughtlessly showed the sincerity of his words by patting him on the shoulder. Eli could feel himself being stared at as he trotted along the aisle all over again so he turned back, his hands already reaching out to a different section of the toy area. "Are you trying to tell me that you never pick up gifts for her? Surely not?"
As Eli's eyes lingered on the younger male for a couple of moments and then they looked away again, searching for a gift that was appropriate to Jorgie's age as well as her interests, it was Justin's turn to feel the need to stuff his hands into his pockets.
It was true that the eldest Morgan son knew the unusual yet sweet bond that the Unovan male had with his only youngest sister and it was because of this that he found himself responding a little defensively to his words. He had been told off by Eli one or too many times for being impatient with the orange haired toddler!
"Of course I pick up stuff for her. But it's unusual things when I'm on tour. Things that she'll appreciate more when she's older." Justin replied and one of his hands slid out of his pockets in order to run through his hair. As well as this, a slight display of a blush took over his cheeks and one had to wonder whether it was his sensitive side when it came to his littlest sister showing or his continuous defensiveness.
Naturally, the deep violet haired male knew that the younger male's answer was an honest one so it was well received. He had a smile to himself as he began picking up boxes of toy baby doll accessories and comparing the contents in each of them.
That smile of Eli's didn't fade away for a fair few moments and it continued even as he turned back to Justin, asking him something else. He had been quietly and thoughtfully humming as he pondered a decision.
"Do you take her shopping when you're on tour or anytime at all? Don't most little girls love that sort of thing?" the Unovan male uttered with a continuous smile and then because he decided against either of those two gifts entirely, he abandoned them back on the shelf.
However, he didn't leave them on the right place on the shelf so Justin found himself joining Eli and pushing them in the right position. The deep violet haired male gave him a bit of a look at this but didn't say anything.
Soon enough, he decided that it was a good thing because Justin had come closer to him and that meant that he could hear him better – and see him all the more closely too.
The Unovan male watched as the deep purple haired male pondered to himself and then had a bit of a smile – but that was towards the latter part of Eli's words. Then the eldest Morgan son focused on the entirety of the older male's questions.
Leaning back against a position on the shelves all over again and watching Eli go over to look at a shelf a few paces ahead, Justin shook his head.
"No, shopping is not my preferred activity at the best of times." The deep purple haired male sorted out some strands of hair of his and continuously shook his head. As Eli resumed humming and half of his attention was taken up by moving over to the toy kitchen accessories in the aisle, Justin added, the whites of his eyes showing slightly at his own words. "And definitely not with Jorgie."
And as soon as the deep violet haired male heard this words, from becoming very enamoured with the sight of a little kitchen set, that broke away from Eli's attention entirely and he turned back to Justin.
Because the deep purple haired male was beginning to know the older male so very well and he too understood how those words would have been perceived coming from him, Justin promptly held his hands up and explained. Justin explained before he got another Jorgie related telling off.
"Not what you think. Not because it's her." The deep purple haired male tried to honestly reassure the Unovan male but he was understandably sceptical! He still didn't turn his attention back to the rest of the aisle. He wanted to make sure. So with an eye that was twitching lightly in an observing sort of way, he folded his arms over his own chest. Justin closed the distance between the two of them, shaking his head. The way his eyes meaningfully widened and un-purposeful lines appeared on his head made it obvious that he wasn't telling a lie. "Something happened last time that I had to take her shopping, that's all."
And due to the fact that after listening and tilting his head on one side for just a moment or two, the deep violet haired male could tell that the younger male wasn't being untruthful in any way, shape or form, Eli's expression softened all over again.
In spite of the fact that he went back to looking around the aisle and Justin could breathe out once more, he remained attentive. He remained curious. His next words only proved this.
"I'm listening." He told Justin lightly and with a smile that was facing all of the kitchen and cookery accessory toys that were on display in the toy aisle.
And because the deep purple haired male could hear the lightness in his voice – despite the fact that he was aware that he could get another telling off – he couldn't deny himself the urge to give the older male what he wanted. Not only this, but he enjoyed talking to him. Very much so.
Letting out a lengthy sigh for affect as much as anything, the eldest Morgan son moved his body and leaned up against the aisle of toys that was closest to Eli's side. He even inspected his non-ring clad finger also. That could have definitely been for effect. But it also could have been very real indeed!
Eli understood why when the deep purple haired male finally came out with it.
"Well…" Justin didn't get started for another few seconds and it caused the deep violet haired male to turn around and look up at him during his continuous search for a toy for Jorgie. The eldest Morgan son didn't look back at him, however, still favouring the bare skin that was usually beneath a ring on his pointer finger. He finally blurted out, trying to make light of it all. "There's a possibility that I left her in a trolley and went home without her when she was a lot younger… But it turned out fine, obviously! Otherwise you would have never met her."
And if anybody else had been in the aisle, they definitely would have turned round at the gasp that the Unovan male let out upon hearing this! He certainly had a lot of power behind his gasp in spite of the short stature that he had.
Rather comically, Eli shot up off the floor from crouching and regained his full height. Coming up to below the younger male's Adam's apple, the deep violet haired male's eyes widened. His sunken yet fixatedly round orbs were very, very wide indeed.
"Justin, you did not!" the Unovan male exclaimed and as he peered up at the younger male from both of their full heights, because he could see his own eye twitching and his teeth bared in a way that tried to show off carelessness but had an extra ingredient proving that he did still care a bit, the older male didn't explode other than this. Although he shook his head and his eyes continued widening, he puffed air out of his lips. "Jeeeeeez… No wonder your dad leaps up so quickly when someone suggests you take Jorgie to the shops with you!"
And out of the relief that he wasn't getting a telling off from the older male – even though it would have been a very long worded one rather than a loud sounding one – Justin ducks his head towards the ground and then he showed off a bit of a grin.
But to show that he did absolutely care about his little sister, as Eli continuously lingered next to Justin's side, the younger male absentmindedly reached out and touched his shoulder, patting it as he replied with his own mock wide eyes for effect.
"Oh… Oh yeah, everybody knows that me and Jorgie and shops don't mix at all. That was… traumatic." The deep purple haired male and he explained with a humorous shiver that he pretended to go down his spine but even so, it was plain to see it was one of the rare things that Justin regretted. He proved this by standing further up. "I reckon she would like one of those things over there, you know? Maybe you should be the one to try her out."
After pointing over to the aisle opposite them, the eldest Morgan son was encouraged to go over there himself, pointing Eli properly in the right direction when the closeness between the two of them caused the older male to get lost in thought all over again.
It was Justin's turn to head over to a section of the toy aisle and crouch down to the lowest shelf, then showing off a smile that was unfaltering and completely unconsciousness. The deep purple haired male coaxed the deep violet haired male some more before he joined him.
While each hand held a package containing a few baby woodland animals, Justin told Eli how Jorgie was always eyeing up Rey's ones of her own.
I'm sure that it was amusing as well as endearing the way that he almost skipped over to the younger male's side, dropping down onto his knees with him. His sunken yet fixated orbs widened all the more inquisitively, nodding his head thoughtfully.
"Do you really think so? What kind of one would she like?" the Unovan male questioned rather innocently yet seriously all the same, as if Justin's opinion was the be all or end all. Following this, he followed Justin's example and reached his own hand in towards the back of the shelf, pulling out a package for each hand of his also.
The eldest Morgan son caught on to the way that the older male copied him and it caused him to smile. Then he caught on to his words – his question. He grinned! He grinned and peered at the pair that Eli had in his hands and then he reminded him.
"I don't know. It's your gift from you!" the deep purple haired male told him and Eli was forced to look up at him closely while their foreheads very nearly pressed together as Justin peered to see the older male's selection once more. He almost swallowed. But he listened while Justin added. "I think those ones on your left. I like them. They've got funny teeth!"
The eldest Morgan male showed his own as he laughed at the little woodland baby creatures in the small plastic box as well as accessories for them all. It wasn't until after he pulled away and he gave the unwanted ones one last look and he put them back on the shelf for good that Eli replied to him.
He stopped staring at the younger male long enough to nod his head and grin himself, visibly happy with the idea that they had come to together. Unlike the deep purple haired male, he didn't give the unwanted ones a second look as he put them back on the shelf!
"Alrighty then. Sounds good to me. She likes little babies too. So I think she would prefer these to the bigger sizes." Eli informed himself as much as the deep purple haired male and then as soon as he held his hand out to balance himself as he prepared to stop crouching on the floor, Justin reached down and he entwined his fingers with his. The younger male pulled him upwards and the two of them stayed with their hands in each other's for a good couple of minutes. Then when the toy aisle stopped being for them and them alone as a woman came wandering down with her own trolley, Eli pretended to move his hand to be looking at Justin's own watch. "What time have we got?"
I imagine that the deep purple haired male's stomach sunk, bewildered at how quickly the Unovan male switched to be acting like he was doing something else, but he didn't have time to linger on that. He knew to act in an equally easy-going and unhesitant way, even if it was something that didn't feel natural to him – and probably wouldn't ever feel natural to him.
Justin made his way through his words in a very robotic manner to his ears but they were said with complete ease from the point of view of Eli or anybody else listening. He told him of the time and reassured him that he wouldn't be late for his work call.
But there wasn't anybody else listening. The woman who had passed by them moments before had been using that aisle as a gateway to head on her way to another one. And because of this, Justin's expression soon enough brightened all over. And he took Eli's hand in his all over again, that time intending to properly lean his face in to his.
However, the Unovan male put a stop to that too, tilting his head out of the way as well as sliding his fingers away from Justin. He told him firmly.
"Later. I really need to be back home and on time." The deep violet haired male told the deep purple haired one and as if this wasn't bad enough, he held Justin briefly by the hips but this was to turn him the other way. Then his hand switched to his lower back for even less time. And this was to push him in the direction of collecting their shopping cart.
Justin must've shown some sort of demeanour of his shoulders falling ever so slightly. His strands of hair must have flicked down and covered his eyes a little all over again. Justin must have looked a little hurt. Because even though he complied and shuffled on ahead – and even though Eli believed that he wasn't in the wrong – after letting out a quiet sigh, the Unovan male caught up to him and directed him some more.
But this time as he directed him back towards the shopping trolley, he hooked his fingers into the back belt buckle of Justin's green tartan trousers and he allowed them to linger there. That was his way of making up for it all. That was his way of showing affection. It was only a tiny thing, it was true, but Justin lapped it up. He smiled once again. And after Eli's fingers had slipped away from him all over, the two of them headed to pay for their shopping.
What proceeded next was a typical sight for the two of them. Them queuing up in the check out with everybody else and being served. Both of them interacting in charming small talk with the cashier. Them packing their own groceries into bags. Them wanting their extra change to be put in the charity box on the side.
After they said goodbye to the cashier and thanked them and made their way to the sliding exit doors, the deep violet haired male was looking at his own watch absentmindedly all over again. The deep purple haired male caught on and he believed it to be some wordless message, despite their little making up session when Eli hooked his fingers through his belt buckle.
The eldest Morgan son rolled his eyes in a gentlemanly fashion but he rolled his eyes nevertheless. He pretended to sigh, pushing the shopping trolley properly out of the doors and turning back, talking to Eli over his shoulder.
"I won't make you late. I won't make you late again, I promise." The deep purple haired male reminded him and he reminded him with another eye roll. Because the Unovan male had been lingering in the shop and looking at his watch, he had to catch up there and then!
However, as soon as the two of them were outdoors and in the parking lot, Eli very quickly caught on to what was going on. You see, it was a hot day and it was the middle of August in Kanto. Most people had headed into the shop without a moment of hesitation to lap up every inch of the air-conditioning.
Needless to say, there was hardly anyone outside. Actually, there was nobody outside and conveniently, the large shop had a little bit of an alleyway corner spot that Eli caught on to as well.
While Justin pressed his lips together but didn't say anything and just focused on trying to spot his car from a distance and intended to push the shopping trolley in that direction, Eli stopped him. Despite the height difference that the two of them had, I believed that the deep violet haired Unovan male had a bit of the sturdy and strong genes that went into Jordan!
Suddenly taking charge, Eli managed to grab hold of Justin's wrists away from holding onto the shopping trolley and he yanked them along with the deep purple haired male's body towards him. The eldest Morgan son didn't even have a chance to gasp, out of surprise or otherwise.
The Unovan male grabbed the Kanto born one and tugged him into the quiet and hidden corner with him and he pressed his lips right onto his, his hands making his way to his own chiselled jawline. Justin's first reaction was to react with rigidness out of surprise but then he melted the more certainly yet tenderly that Eli kissed him.
It was Justin's turn to not hesitate. He didn't hesitate to allow the older male to pull his body even closer to his as the two of them kissed – so they were pressed right up against each other – and Eli's hands moved even further down on the deep purple haired male's back that time.
In spite of the fact that the two of them longed to stay just like that for quite some time and in equal measures, their embrace and their kiss came to an end with the younger male being the one to pull away first. The both of them were breathless. The both of them were tickled pink. But smirks quickly took over the both of their faces. And it was Eli's turn to gasp when Justin closed the distance between them all over again and it was his turn to take charge, leaning in and planting a few kisses to the base of his neck.
And even though, once again, the two of them would have liked to stay like that for a very long time, Eli knew that one of them had to cool the other one down. The Unovan male moved his hands back to Justin's face and in between smirking shakily at what he was doing to him; Eli used that gesture to push him away from him.
Nevertheless, when the two of them locked eyes and shared intentional and glinting eye contact, it was the deep purple haired male to speak. Making a point, he reached his fingers out and he allowed them to trace down the skin of the base of his neck where his lips had just been.
"I'll make you late if I want." The eldest Morgan son uttered to the Unovan male rather cockily, I imagine, for him, and as his hands travelled to the older male's shoulders, he prepared to lean his body and his face all over again.
But he was stopped. Justin was stopped by Eli's hands moving to his hips all over again and swiftly and in one motion moving the younger male so he was facing away from him once more. That time, the deep purple haired male looked back at him over his shoulder and he had a grin on his face. He listened while Eli had a turn to speak.
"You're not going to make me bad like you." The deep violet haired male stated firmly but the grin that took over his face to match the younger male's as soon as he said this made his words easy to be disagreed with! The deep violet haired male showed this by reaching his hand behind him and taking hold of Eli's hand once more. The Unovan male gripped his fingers as he added. "C'mon don't torture me all the more by making me lose my job! I already have a hard enough time walking around a shop with you and you looking like you do."
And to contrast the look that Justin had been giving Eli and the glint in his eyes all those moments before, the deep purple haired male burst into laughter and he ducked his head. In a split second, he had turned from a teasing troublesome type to an absolute softie.
And the deep violet haired male knew that he had to focus on this half of him or else he really would end up late! Even so, it wasn't hard for him to focus on that side of Justin.
Soon enough, the two males revealed themselves from hiding away together and headed back into the sunlight, towards the deep purple haired male's car.
They packed it together. They slammed the car boot shut. Justin opened the car door and got into the driver's seat. Because Eli was heading back home to attend that work video call and Justin was heading on to his family home, the deep purple haired male got into the driver's seat alone.
Showing that he was trying to focus on that softer side of himself also, even though it took a lot of straining up on his tiptoes, Eli leaned towards the jeep sized car and he put Justin's seatbelt on for him. Needless to say, the younger male smiled back but he bit his lip also. The Unovan male tilted his head and smiled in return as he addressed him once more.
"I'll see you later on, then. I really hope Jorgie likes the gift. And give my love to everyone, yeah?" Eli spoke to Justin and the innocent and sweet look in his eyes as his head tilted was a far cry from the mischief that could be seen as he mucked around with the younger male.
And in spite of the fact that it was a delicate moment and Justin ducked his head and smiled all over again and nodded at the older male's words, he then couldn't help but tease Eli just once more before they temporarily parted ways.
The deep purple haired male copied his head tilt and he locked his eyes onto his in a telling sort of way. He tried not to allow his lips to quirk upwards with a smirk.
"How about you give your love to me?" Justin asked him in a playful sort of way and to boot, he reached out with his foot and bumped his black suede heeled boot out and nudged Eli in the thigh with it as he lingered on the outside of the vehicle.
Straight away, the Unovan male let out a loud sigh and his eyebrows danced on his face and Justin followed by letting out amused laughter.
However, in spite of the fact that he was being teased, Eli did indeed cheek one last time in case they were being watched together and then he leaned across and indeed planted one kiss on him. The same spot on the base of the neck where Justin had been kissing him before.
"Goodbye, gorgeous. I shan't steal you from your family any longer." Eli told him and with that, while the whites of Justin's eyes were shown and where the older male had kissed started to blush at the contact, the car door was slammed and the deep violet haired male headed in his own direction.
Eli headed back towards the house that the two of them shared. So the deep purple haired male had to make a move towards where he needed to be.
Justin drove his car to the next town where most of his family resided and even though the last bit of affection from the Unovan male had been twenty minutes ago, he was still blushing and he was still giddily grinning as he pulled up on the driveway!
With an extra pep in his step from the time that they had been sharing as well as the kisses too, Justin took his seatbelt off right away and intended to get out of the car straight away instead of listening to the end of the song.
For the time being, he left the rest of the groceries in his car save for one thing. The little pink and blue mermaid decorated bag which contained the present for Jorgie from Eli, of course! That was the reason that the deep purple haired male had headed home, after all, as well as a few less important things.
The eldest Morgan son evacuated his vehicle with the sparkly pink and blue bag in hand and he locked the door behind him before holding a different key on that same set in his other hand. He didn't hesitate to put the key in the door. He didn't hesitate to head on inside. He didn't hesitate to head back home. It still felt like home to him even though he had moved out to be with Eli a couple of weeks ago.
Showing that that was exactly the case, he found his father very quickly after he followed the familiar humming noises to the kitchen – and the two of them didn't hesitate to show off their usual relationship. It was like Justin hadn't even been away.
"How wonderful to see you. And you have a present for Jorgie? Really? Isn't that rather unusual for you to-" the lavender haired male that was James was actually only beginning his sentence and as playfulness began to take over his own eyes, the deep purple haired male believed that he was done.
He clarified his dungaree clad father's words with a nod of his head and held the little sparkly bag properly after he was no longer occupied with kicking off his shoes.
"It's pretty unusual for me to get one a present without the other. But it's from Eli, actually." The eldest Morgan male told his father and I wondered if his eyes unusually darted about, unsure and not wanting to know what the older male's response was going to be hearing it was from the deep violet haired Unovan male.
Justin cleared his throat like he didn't want to ponder too much on it. He shook his head, deciding to crack some more light-heartedness.
"Where is she then? I'd like to head off and give it to her now then me and you can talk guitars. Isn't it rather unusual for her not to be glued to your hip?"
"That was you once." James responded with a wry smile and whether he caught on or not, Justin didn't have to worry about any sort of out of place reaction from him – even though the younger male had tried his best to avoid one.
And following these words and following both of the boys grinning in a sheepish and united sort of way, the older of the two pointed Justin in the right direction after embracing him for a second time and told him where Jorgie was in the house.
The two of them shared a light slapping of each other's chests as well and Justin ducked his head as a thanks. Then he headed off to find his little sister for good. He had an unusually continuous pep in his step, even though the time came to spend a little bit of time with Jorgie!
Like their father had directed him, the orange haired little girl was indeed in the living room and she was playing with her doll's house. I wondered if Justin breathed out because he believed that Eli's gift for her was going to go down really well.
Because of this, he didn't hesitate to greet her as soon as he saw her. Coming in through the doorway and inviting himself to sit down next to her and crossing his legs over each other, he offered her a smile.
"Hey Jorgie. What you up to?" he spoke to her and he continued offering her a smile and he didn't shake his head at his own words even though it was perfectly clear what she was up to.
And for a rare occasion, Jorgie didn't either. As a matter of fact, Jorgie didn't do anything at all. The orange haired little girl denied her eldest brother of a greeting in response and the only thing he received from her was a look with her eyes and an unmoving expression. But that still spoke everything.
She was in the middle of her game and she intended to finish it before she even was to address the deep purple haired male. And so Justin had to wait until Jorgie had set all of her little wooden doll's house toys around the table and placed the right food in front of them all until he got any sort of attention from her. Perhaps that was payback in a way!
Thankfully, Justin remained patient and he was rewarded for this by the way that after Jorgie had pushed the youngest member of the doll's family even closer to the table to avoid spillages, she turned her attention towards the oldest son of their family.
As well as this, she copied his sitting position of crossing her legs over each other and she looked right at him. She even cupped her hands in her lap like Justin was cupping the gift bag in his lap.
The deep purple haired male tried again with a surprising amount of ease in spite of his previous rejection.
"Hey Jorgie. How is it going?" he asked her and he offered her another smile, not getting caught up in the fact that he may very well be ignored all over again. The orange haired little girl only had time to lock her large, meadow orbs on him when Justin added, his teeth beginning to show as he grinned almost shyly. "I have something for you. Eli bought a present for you. He wanted me to give it to you right away. So here."
And with that, the deep purple haired male shuffled on his bottom and he shuffled towards the youngest girl of their family, handing out the mermaid themed gift bag out to her. Though she didn't need to, in response, Jorgie shuffled her bottom closer to Justin also. And she accepted the gift bag as it was held out to her. But her eyes continuously stared at Justin rather than looking down at the gift.
Then the orange haired little girl smiled a really sweet and toothy smile but it wasn't because she had looked down at the gift after all, nor was tickled pink to have a gift from Eli! Though I was sure that that was the case also. Instead she occupied her time with looking right at Justin. And then she came out with words.
"You'll live with Eli for always?" she questioned and she finally looked down at the gift bag, holding it in her hands and shuffling backwards on her bottom all over again. She continued swivelling the present bag in her hands. Instead of focusing on the surprise that the little girl didn't tear it open right away (or the surprise that she too had used his real name), Justin had only time to open his mouth and close it with a look in his eye before Jorgie added, shrugging. "I hope so."
The whites of Justin's eyes had been showing as a mix of surprise that Jorgie hadn't been raring to open the gift as well as the words that he was hearing out of her mouth. Those words above all things! Then, the deep purple haired male's eyes narrowed as he deadpanned towards his little sister.
"Why? Do you like it without me here that much?" Justin uttered seriously and to contrast his eye narrow, one of his eyebrows quirked upwards. Jorgie copied that look right back at him.
And almost as if to not give into his questions that she believed could be down to wanting reassurance, the orange haired little girl didn't nod her head or shrug.
She paused a lengthy pause and then she finally came out with a worded response, the gift bag then in just her right hand.
"I like him. I like him very much." She responded rather seriously for her usually entertaining and comical young self but she didn't lock her telling orbs on Justin there and then. Perhaps even she believed that that was too much. Perhaps even she knew that the deep purple haired male was being seen right through by her at the best of times – without making it that clear. While Justin frowned but nodded even so, she finally asked, holding the gift bag in both hands once more. But she still slipped in a slight bit of telling. "You do too. Can I open this now? It's for me?"
A bead of sweat almost formed on Justin's forehead. He believed that she had some sort of conniving at the best of times! Then there and then, he didn't understand why she was being very grown up and not jumping for joy at a present like normal.
The deep purple haired male paused just once and then he scooted closer to Jorgie another time and with his legs still crossed.
"That's what I've been trying to tell ya." The eldest Morgan son shook his head and Jorgie tilted her head just one more time and then she smiled to herself, nodding her head and she didn't hesitate with reaching her hand into the aquatic decorated bag and pulling the present out.
A very small and girly gasp escaped her lips when she saw the gift and the little faces of the little creatures peering out at her but her face very clearly lit up. The way that the gripped onto the box so tightly with white knuckles showed how thrilled she was.
Her eyes shook with wonder. She shook her head with wonder. After peering her face right up to the plastic box where her new little friends were instead, she looked back at Justin. He had an unusually soft smile on his face and his crossed legs were being pulled to his chest.
"I call him now? I call him now and say thank you?" Jorgie asked with that look of innocent joy and wonder still in her eyes as she delicately set the box to one side but that was a different demeanour to her shaking her hands towards Justin, gesturing that she wanted his phone out of his pocket!
He didn't hesitate to reach for that device before it became clear to him what her intention was. Fumbling to unlock that same phone, he then furrowed his brow and looked back at his littlest sister.
"Oh. Oh, I can't phone him now, I'm sorry, Jorgie. He's doing work stuff right now. But you'll see him soon. Of course, you'll see him soon and then you can thank him in person." The deep purple haired male spoke truthfully and in a very reasonable sort of way. However, the orange haired little girl could be known for switching up very quickly! And it was shown there and then why Justin called her the complete opposite when their father called her an angel. He almost dropped his mobile phone as he fumbled some more as Jorgie frowned right at him, wordlessly wanting her own way – to thank Eli, of course. "I can't phone him now! He won't answer."
Jorgie's expression softened just a fraction when she heard the latter part of her eldest brother's words. It became clear to her intelligent three year old self that the deep purple haired male was relenting. That was unusual for him at the best of times but especially when it came to her.
But perhaps the deep purple haired male was secretly still on that high from his parking lot moment of affection with Eli. Or maybe he had secretly enjoyed seeing his littlest sister open her gift from the man that he was living with and wanted to see them interact.
In spite of the fact that as Jorgie continued persistently staring at the deep purple haired male and he gave her that same look back, he did indeed fully relent after a couple more seconds. But he still told his little orange haired sister.
"He won't answer, Jorgie. I'm telling you. He has work stuff." He informed the orange haired little girl and though she nodded her head, she shuffled closer to her eldest brother all over again and with one elbow leaning against his leg, she clutched onto her present all over again. Justin let out a quiet sigh. He searched for Eli in his contacts and he allowed it to ring. For once, he didn't shield the screen away from any eyes and he let Jorgie watch as it rang. It rang once. It rang twice. It rang three times. It rang all the way to ten times. Then it made the sound that the phone made them the call didn't go through. With another sigh, Justin quickly hung up and gave Jorgie a look, telling her. "You see? He's busy. You can talk to him another time."
There and then and in that moment, the deep purple haired male was expecting another vicious look from his little sister as she insisted that he had to try again. But he got another sort of response. The little girl still leaning up against him and her continuing to clutch her new box of friends, Jorgie's meadow green orbs dropped and she rather forlornly dropped her head.
It goes without saying that it was this – although Justin let out another sigh – it was that that made him know that he had to try again. And this time, he typed a little message to Eli explaining the reason for him calling him when he was working.
And Justin didn't even have enough time to exit that part of the messages and click the phone icon all over again because, all of sudden, and after a single second, his own phone rang. It was Eli!
Justin jumped to pick it up. As Jorgie's head snapped up and she stared also but still didn't want to get her hopes up, the deep purple haired male answered.
And as he answered, he had a face full of fake offence to speak to the deep violet haired male on the other end.
"Did you seriously ignore my call then pick up straight away when Jorgie was mentioned?!" the deep purple haired male interrogated and he did so lightly but interrogated the Unovan male all the same. The orange haired little girl's face lit up and she clasped the gift against her chest as she saw his face taking up most of the deep purple haired male's phone screen.
Eli just from the other town and in his work chair in the house that he and Justin shared didn't hesitate to nod, smiling endearingly down the phone and close to the camera.
"Yup!" the deep violet haired male responded and very much copying the person from the other end of the phone, Jorgie decided to stick her face in the camera there and then. Naturally, it was very well received. All that was visible was Eli's face smiling all the more as Jorgie stuck her own face close to the phone. His usually deep and low voice almost cooed. "How could I not? I want to see my little madam. Did she enjoy the little gift?"
The eldest Morgan son tried to tactfully in front of Eli move his little sister's head away from the camera so he could show off his own smile and tell the Unovan male that their choice was a good one. But needless to say, Jorgie whined and stuck her face right back in the camera!
While Justin let out a sigh and had to relent all over again, Eli's chuckles could be heard from the other end. And his smile was clear after Justin held the camera at arm's length so he could see the two of them.
"Isn't she just a delight? I swear to god that she's one of the reasons that I would want to have kids." Eli hummed to himself and he smiled when after Jorgie whined some more that the camera was too far away, she held the gift shyly in her hands for Eli to see and she told him in her own way how happy he was that he thought of her.
But because she was babbling and gesturing and not making much sense at all in her excitement, her arms flailed about all the more than usual. And before you knew it, Justin's head had been bonked with the plastic surrounding the toys!
Eli didn't even gasp. Eli just plainly laughed. And then Jorgie did too. She erupted into very mischievous and from Justin's point of view - malicious cackles! And because of this, in between rubbing his own head and squinting with the slight pain. He uttered words that responded to Eli's previous ones.
"Really, darling? That's so funny because she is one of the main reasons why I do not want kids." Justin muttered to a soon be grinning even more Eli but to go against his words and tone entirely, the deep purple haired male soon enough stopped trying to nurse his own sore head and he allowed Jorgie to hold his phone as well as her new toys, smirking along with them both.
As well as this, Justin pulled her down onto her lap and he complied with taking the little figures out of the box when she asked, freeing them. And he listened as Jorgie and Eli interacted with one and other. He listened and he listened and he listened. He even smiled too.
And it was lucky that the Unovan male for once didn't listen to those words that came out of Justin. He could not have been more wrong. Maybe Jorgie wasn't the reason that he went on to have the future that he had. Maybe she was. Either way, Eli was definitely the reason that Justin moved on to the path that he would eventually embark in.
All of those relationships of Justin's were important. All of them were life-changing. All of the tales that came with them were equal parts heart-breaking and humorous and humbling all in one. And I cannot wait to share them all with you. Just like Justin couldn't wait to share his life with Eli. Even when they were no longer as joined at the hip as they once were. And their frantic and roaming grips turned to figurative clasps as they walked side by side in life instead.
The End.
There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoy :3 So yeah, Justin and Eli certainly have a very dynamic and passionate relationship - but it's not something that they are able to share outwards too much. And I think it's becoming clear why - or rather who - that reason is. Despite this, people certainly see the spark with one and other, and Jorgie is most definitely one of those people! Even though Justin likes to think himself as a composed person, when it comes to Eli, he can't really hide his feelings for him. And as for Eli? He wants it to be kept just for the two of them. But he can't resist Justin just as much! Thanks again and I will be back on the 28th to update To You Both so see you then!
