Chapter 47

It was the Saturday night before the SDC when Odette woke Ace, Deuce, Jamil, Kalim and Epel right after lights out. She had woke them up in pairs and told them to meet her at the complete stage at the coliseum.

She had saved Epel and went with him. "How did you out wake up Rook?" Epel asked as they left the dorm.

"He saw still up, so I don't know how much time he's going to give us before he shows up with Vil." Odette answered as they nearly ran to the stage.

Everyone was already there when they got there. "Evening." She called out as mounted the massive stage.

"Why did you call us out here?" Jamil asked looking a little annoyed to be roped into this.

"Yeah this really isn't like you, breaking so many rules." Deuce added.

"I'm here to add to our success. It's called home field advantage." Odette informed them.

"I'm not following." Ace grumbled.

"Look at this place isn't it huge? It might scared the other teams but it's not going to scary us you know why? Because we're gonna own it. I had us come to perform tonight, not as a group but individuals. If you're confident on your own then as a group it'll be easy." Odette explained looking between each boy.

"I don't think they get it." Grim sighed as Odette placed her backpack on the ground and began to pull a few things out of it.

"I guess I'll have to show you." She said as laid out a blanket near the edge of the stage and handed a thermos of hot apple cider to Epel. "Everyone please stay on the blanket." She said as Grim sat down.

She wait for everyone to be seated as she played on her phone and found the song she wanted. "Alright everyone, I'll show you but after that each of you should pick a song." She hit played and began to sing 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody'.

She even worked a few of the boys' dances movements in with the original dance moves of the song, by the end of the song everyone even Ace seemed to be enjoying himself.

"Get it now?" She huffed trying to catch her breath.

"I get exactly what you're saying now!" Kalim cheered as he scrambled up and stood next to her. "I'm gonna go next!" He announced. He sang 'Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride'. "It's a song I heard when my family visited an island when I was younger. I loved it so much I just had to learn it." Kalim explained once he was done.

"I think I want to go next." Deuce said as he quickly got up. Kalim high fived him as they passed each other.

"You got this." Kalim grinned. "That was fun." He said as he sat back down.

Deuce began sing to 'Run Rabbit Run'. He looked a little embarrassed when he finished. "My mom use to sing that song a lot when I was little." He muttered as he made his way back to the large blanket.

"I'm next." Epel hopped up and made his way in front of the group. His song was 'The Gambler'. "It's one of my dad's favorite songs." He explained when he was finished.

Jamil was the next to get up. He sang 'True to your Heart.' "I've always just like the song." He shrugged as he sat back down.

"That just leaves Ace." Grim teased him as he floated up to bump shoulders with him.

"Fine, fine. I still don't get what you're trying to do." Ace grumbled as he got up in front of the group. Ace sang 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidious'. This surprised everyone else and by the end everyone was singing with him.

"Okay that was fun." Ace laughed when they were done. "I get it now, you didn't want us to be nervous when we step up on this stage next weekend." Ace stated.

"Yes! Seeing it and performing on it are two different things. Now you're the first to perform on it. It's ours! Own it!" She shouted.

The guys joined in. "We own this stage!"

"Now let's get back before we get caught." Odette said as she gathered the blanket and thermos and put them back into the her bag.

"Your plan is nice and all but don't you think the crowd will effect us?" Jamil whispered as he helped her.

"Oh, I didn't think of that. Try imagine them in their underwear." She suggested.

"Where did you hear that?" Jamil asked looking a bit offended.

"My world." She shrugged.

"You're world in weird." He muttered.

"You have no idea." She laughed as she zipped up her bag.

"I've never heard that song before where is it from?" Kalim asked as they left the stage.

"I had a dream about it, from my other life. It's a bit different here but it was close." She explained smiling.

"You're remembering things from before you came here?" Deuce asked looking surprised.

"Wait, you don't remember your past?" Kalim asked looking sad.

"Yes Deuce, I'm remembering a few things from my past but not much." Odette answered turning to Deuce. "And yes Kalim, I barely remember anything from before the opening ceremony. Crowley thinks it's something to do with the transportation magic that brought me here. He thought the effect would wear off eventually."

"Of course he would say that." Jamil muttered as Kalim began to sniffle.

"That's so sad."

"I try not to let it get to me. I still have plenty of years ahead of me to make up for it. I can make new memories just fine. New world, new me." She joked at the end trying to cheer him back up.

"You're right! We should all look forward to making new memories together!" He said becoming his happy self again.

"Yeah! Starting with winning SDC!" Epel exclaimed.

"Exactly!" Odette grinned.

Vil and Rook step out from the left wing of the stage and watched the group disappear from the coliseum. "It seems she can be brilliant when give the chance." Rook chuckled.

"It seems so." Vil sighed. "They did break the rules but they gained confidence over this little stunt and seemed to bond a bit more."

"Qui." Rook agreed nodding his head. "So you're going to let it go?"

"For now. I'll dish out the punishments later, maybe after the SDC." Vil muttered as they made they way back to the Ramshackle dorm as well.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed the chapter. This was a fun chapter to write. This arc got so much fluff but I think this is the last of it. But honestly the fluff has been fun to write. I planned on this chapter from the beginning of the arc. I was thought there this would be a cute chapter. I know the game doesn't cover everything but I honestly thought the team should have done more on screen bonding. I promise the next chapter we finally get back on track with the main story line. See ya next time.
